The process γγ→π+π? was measured using the detector MD-1 at VEPP-4. The two-photon reactionse + e ?, μ+ μ? and π+ π? pair production were separated using scintillation counters, Cherenkov counters and shower-range chambers. A radiation widthГ γγ(f 2(1270))=3.1±0.35±0.35 keV was obtained.  相似文献

A realistic model for the free rho meson with coupling to two-pion states is employed to calculate the rho propagator in a hot and dense hadron gas. The medium modifications are based on hadronic rescattering processes: intermediate two-pion states are renormalized through interactions with surrounding nucleons and deltas, and rho meson scattering is considered off nucleons, deltas, pions and kaons. Constraints from gauge invariance as well as the full off-shell dynamics of the interactions are accounted for. Within the vector dominance model we apply the resulting in-medium rho spectral function to compute e+e production rates from π+π annihilation. The calculation of corresponding e+e spectra as recently measured in central collisions of heavy-ions at CERN/SpS energies gives reasonable agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

By combining new results obtained at C.M. energies of 1.2 and 1.3 GeV with previous data obtained at lower energies from the e+e? annihilation process e+e? → π+π?πoπo, we get an indication in favour of the existence of a new vector meson of the ? type, ?' (1250), the first daughter of the ? in the predictions of the Veneziano model. Further results on the annihilation process e+e? → π (1600) → π+π?π+π? are also presented.  相似文献

The cross section for the process e + e ? → π+π?π0π0 has been measured in an experiment with a spherical neutral detector, with the cross section at energies √s < 920 MeV having been measured for the first time. The model of vector dominance describes well the data obtained if the ρ, ρ′, and ρ″ resonances are taken into account. The probability of the decay ρ → π+π?π0π0 is B(ρ → π+π?π0π0) = (1.60 ± 0.74 ± 0.18) × 10?5. The upper limit for the decay ω → π+π?π0π0 has been improved by two orders of magnitude compared to previous measurements and is B(ω → π+π?π0π0) < 2 × 10?4 at a 90% confidence level.  相似文献

The cross section of the process e + e ? → π+π? was measured in the spherical neutral detector experiment at the VEPP-2M collider in the energy region $400 < \sqrt s < 1000 MeV$ . This measurement was based on about 12.4 × 106 selected collinear events, which include 7.4 × 106 e + e ?e + e ?, 4.5 × 106 e + e ? → π+π?, and 0.5 × 106 e + e ? → μ+μ? selected events. The systematic uncertainty of cross section determination is 1.3%. The ρ-meson parameters were determined as m ρ = 774.9±0.4±0.5 MeV, Γ ρ = 146.5±0.8±1.5 MeV, and σ(ρ → π+π?) = 1220 ± 7 ± 16 nb and the parameters of the G-parity suppressed decay ω → π+π? as σ(ω → π+π?) = 29.9 ± 1.4 ± 1.0 nb and φρω = 113.5±1.3±1.7°.  相似文献

The production of multipion events by e+e? annihilation has been measured at centre of mass energies 915,990 and 1076 MeV. Both channels e+e?π+π?πo and e+e?π+π?π+π? have been analysed. An energy threshold effect analysed. An energy threshold effect around 919 MeV (mω + mπo) has been evidenced for the π+π?πoπo channel and the cross section is consistent with the quasi two-body process e+e?ωπo. The cross section for π+π?π+π? is lower by an order of magnitude and increases with the energy.  相似文献

The reaction γγ → 2π+ 2π 2π0 has been studied using the ARGUS detector at the e+e storage ring DORIS II at DESY. Production of ω mesons is observed and, in particular, the reaction γγωω is seen for the first time. The cross section for γγωω has an enhancement at ∼ 1.9 GeV/c2 of about 10 nb. The radiative decayJ/ψ → γ π+ π? has been studied using the 8.6 millionJ/ψ produced in the DM2 experiment at the DCIe +e? storage rings at Orsay. The π+ π? mass spectrum shows a cleanf 2 (1270) signal, and the possible presence of two other states at thef 2 (1720) andf 4 (2030) masses. For thef 2 (1270), the branching ratio BR(J/ψ →γf)xBR(f→π+ π?) is measured to be (7.50±0.30±1.12)×10?4, and the spin analysis prefers theJ=2 assignment, with helicity parametersx=0.83±0.06 andy=0.01±0.06. The energy dependence of the cross sections for the processes e+e? → π+π?π0, K+K?, ηπ+π?, ωπ0, and K+K?π+π? is studied near the production threshold for a nucleon–antinucleon pair. The cross sections of the e + e ?→π+π?π +π?, e + e ?→π+π?π0π 0, and e + e ?→ωπ→ π+π?π 0π0 processes, as well as the e + e ?→π+π?π0π0 process with subtracted contribution of the ωπ intermediate state, are measured in experiments with a spherical neutral detector on the VEPP-2M collider in the energy range 0.98–1.38 GeV. About 41 000 events of the e + e ?→π+π?π+π ? process and more than 54 000 events of the e + e ?→π+π ?π0π0 process have been selected in experiment. Using the ARGUS detector at the e+e storage ring DORIS II, we have observed the decay τππππ+π+ντ in tau-pair events produced at center-or-mass energies between 9.4 and 10.6 GeV. From the 5π invariant mass distribution we derive an upper limit of m(ντ)<35 MeV/c2 at the 95% confidence level. The branching ratio for this decay channel is found to be (0.064±0.023±0.01)%.  相似文献

The reaction e + e ?→ωπ0 near a Φ resonance was studied with a spherical neutral detector at VEPP-2M e + e ? collider. Both main modes of decay of a ω meson were investigated: ω→π+π?π0 and ω→π 0γ. The probability of decay Φ→ωπ0 was obtained from the magnitude of the interference wave in the cross section for the reaction e + e ?→ωπ0→ π+π?π0π0: B(Φ→ωπ0) = (5.5 ?1.4 +1.6 ±0.3) ×10?5. The ratio of the partial widths of the ω meson was obtained from the ratio of the cross sections for the two modes: Γ(ω→π0γ )/Γ(ω→π+π?π0) = 0.0994 ± 0.0036 ± 0.0038.  相似文献

The production of the pseudoscalar meson η'(958) is observed in the reaction e+e−→ e+eη′→e+eπ+πγ with the ARGUS detector at DESY. We measure the product Γγγ(η')Br(η′ →ϱγ) to be 1.13±0.04±0.13 keV. Using the known branching ratio s, we calculate Γγγ(η′) to be 3.76±0.13±0.47 keV and Γη' to be 203±32 keV.  相似文献

The cross sections fore + e ?π + π ? π 0 ande + e ?ωπ + π ? have been measured in the 1.35 ≦ \(\sqrt s \) ≦2.4 GeV range from 1900 nb?1 collected by DM2 at DCI. The second process proceeds via a resonant state at ≈- 1660 MeV/c2, ≈- 280 MeV/c2 wide. The first one is larger than a VDM extrapolation from the ω-? peaks and, although does not show any clear structure, is compatible with the presence of the above resonance.  相似文献

A search for φ radiative decays has been performed using a data sample of about 2.0 million φ decays collected by the CMD-2 detector at VEPP-2M collider in Novosibirsk. From the selected e+eπ+πγ events the following results were obtained:B(φf0(980)γ)<1×10−4 for destructive andB(φf0(980)γ)<7×10−4 for constructive interference with the Bremsstrahlung process respectively,B(φγπ+πγ)<3×10−5 for Eγ>20 MeV,B(φργ)<7×10−4. From the selected e+eμ+μγ eventsB(φμ+μγ)=(2.3±1.0)×10−5 has been obtained for Eγ>20 MeV. The upper limit on the P,CP-violating decay ηπ+π has also been placed:B(ηπ+π)<9×10−4. We have searched for the decay τvτηπ using data accumulated by the ARGUS detector at the e+e storage ring DORIS II at DESY. No η signal was found in the π+ππ0 subsystems of the decay τvτπππ+ π0. The ηπ0γγ decay was investigated by the SND detector at VEPP-2M e+e collider in the reaction e+eφηγ. Here we present the results and some details of this study. We report an upper limit (90% c.l.) Br(ηπ0γγ)<8.4×10−4 as our final result. Our upper limit does not contradict the earlier measurement by GAMS spectrometer. To facilitate future studies a rather detailed review of the problem is also given.  相似文献
