This paper reports on the results of the investigation of electrically active defects in the crystal structure in a layered ferroelectric–semiconductor TlInS2: La crystal by photoinduced current transient spectroscopy (PICTS). It has been found that there are states of the crystal that differ in the magnitude of the photoresponse varying within four orders of magnitude, which is interpreted in terms of the differences in states of the domain structure of the crystal. The specific features of the recording of thermal emission from defects in the presence of an additional contribution from the photovoltaic component of the response of the crystal to excitation with light have been discussed.  相似文献

The transient nutation of states dressed by a microwave field in a two-level system (E1 centers in a quartz crystal) is observed in pulsed electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) in the course of an additional pulse of a linearly polarized radio-frequency (rf) field that has an amplitude 2B2 and is applied parallel to the static magnetic field. It is shown that, when the frequency of the rf field coincides with the frequency of nutation of the bare spin system, the signal of this nutation is modulated by the nutation of dressed states at the frequency ω2B2, where γ is the electron gyromagnetic ratio. The decay time of nutation of dressed states is considerably (no less than four times) longer than that of bare states of E1 centers due to spin-spin relaxation and correlates with the spin-lattice relaxation time in the rotating coordinate system.  相似文献

The influence of isospin-violating (ρ0, ω) mixing is discussed for any pair of decays of ρ0, ω into the same final state. It is demonstrated, in analogy to the CP violation in neutral kaon decays, that isospin violation can manifest itself in various forms: direct violation in amplitudes and/or violation due to mixing. In addition to the known decays (ρ0, ω) → π+π? and (ρ0, ω) → π0γ, the pair of decays to e+e? and the whole set of radiative decays with participation of ρ0, ω (in initial or final states) are also shown to be useful and promising for studies. Existing data on these decays agree with the universal character of the mixing parameter and indirectly support enhancement of ρ0π0γ in respect to ρ±π±γ. Future precise measurements will allow one to separate different forms of isospin violation and elucidate their mechanisms.  相似文献

The consideration of the problem of the possible existence of homogeneous isotropic media with simultaneously negative permittivities and permeabilities is continued. It is shown that the previous negative answer is also retained in the case of a more rigorous consideration of frequency dispersion. As a matter of discussion, it is proposed to somewhat change the system of Maxwell equations in a dispersing medium.  相似文献

Polarized Raman spectra of γ-Li3PO4 single crystal are investigated at temperatures approximately up to 700 K. It is shown that vibrations of PO4 tetrahedrons and cations of the lithium sublattice can be separated in the spectra. It is found that an increase in temperature leads to interference of one-phonon optical modes of symmetry B2g and A g , which is accompanied by antiresonance in a frequency range near 190 cm?1. Numerical analysis of the spectrum in the region of interaction of optical modes reveals a strong temperature dependence of the interaction constant, which is determined by anharmonic coupling of optical and acoustic modes.  相似文献

The spin-orbit coupling parameter ζ, the quantum average <r ?3>, and binding energy ? E for atomic number Z = 92, 94, 96 and net ionic charge approximately 1 and 5, have been calculated for the 5f electrons. The potential assumed in the one-electron wave function calculation is that given by the Thomas-Fermi model of a positive ion.

It is shown that the ratio ζ/<r ?3> is fairly insensitive to changes in the surroundings of the ion, and can be used for estimating one of the parameters with the experimental value of the other.

The 5g electrons are shown to be effectively free in the considered range of Z and n.

The behaviour of the wave function as a function of n and Z is discussed.  相似文献

Metamagnetic transitions in single-crystal rare-earth nickel borocarbide HoNi2B2C have been studied at T ≈ 1.9 K with a Quantum Design torque magnetometer. With increasing field, transitions to antiferromagnetic, ferrimagnetic, non-collinear, and saturated paramagnetic states take place. The critical fields of the transitions depend crucially on the angle θ between applied field and the easy axis [110]. Measurements of torque along the c axis have been made while changing the angular direction of the magnetic field (parallel to basal tetragonal ab planes) and with changing field at fixed angle over a wide angular range. Two new phase boundaries in the region of the non-collinear phase have been observed, and the direction of the magnetization in this phase has been precisely determined. At low field the antiferromagnetic phase is observed to be multidomain. In the angular range around the hard axis (?6° ≤ ? ≤ 6°, where ? is the angle between the field and hard axis [100]) the magnetic behavior is found to be “frustrated” with a mixture of phases with different directions of the magnetization.  相似文献

A challenge in the study of turbulent boundary layers (TBLs) is to understand the non-equilibrium relaxation process after sep-aration and reattachment due to shock-wave/boundary-layer interaction. The classical boundary layer theory cannot deal with the strong adverse pressure gradient, and hence, the computational modeling of this process remains inaccurate. Here, we report the direct numerical simulation results of the relaxation TBL behind a compression ramp, which reveal the presence of intense large-scale eddies, with significantly enhanced Reynolds stress and turbulent heat flux. A crucial finding is that the wall-normal profiles of the excess Reynolds stress and turbulent heat flux obey a β-distribution, which is a product of two power laws with respect to the wall-normal distances from the wall and from the boundary layer edge. In addition, the streamwise decays of the excess Reynolds stress and turbulent heat flux also exhibit power laws with respect to the streamwise distance from the corner of the compression ramp. These results suggest that the relaxation TBL obeys the dilation symmetry, which is a specific form of self-organization in this complex non-equilibrium flow. The β-distribution yields important hints for the development of a turbulence model.  相似文献

The specific features of the structure and the spin system of a lightly doped Zn1 − x V x Te (x = 0.0002) crystal have been investigated for the first time using thermal neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements. The results of these experiments have been discussed in a close connection with the previously obtained information on neutron diffraction and magnetism in Zn1 − x V x Se (x = 0.0018) and Zn1 − x Cr x Se (x = 0.0029, x = 0.0450) single crystals.  相似文献

The experimental results obtained with the Crystal Ball detector for the physics of η-meson decays are reviewed. The η → 3π 0 Dalitz plot slope and the ηπ 0 γγ decay width are measured with a high accuracy using 3 × 107 η decays. Upper limits on the η → 3γ, η → 2π 0 γ, and η → 3π 0 γ C-forbidden decays are found. The sensitivity of these upper limits to C violation is estimated. An upper limit on the η → 4π 0 C P-forbidden decay is found for the first time and the sensitivity of this value to C P violation is estimated.  相似文献

Light hadrons provide a convenient tool for studying the properties of hot and dense media formed in central collisions of relativistic heavy nuclei. The results obtained in the PHENIX experiment at the relativistic heavy-ion collider (RHIC, Brookhaven National Laboratory, USA) by measuring nuclearmodification factors for light hadrons in various colliding systems (pp, dAu, CuCu, and AuAu) at the c.m. energies of √s NN = 62.4 and 200 GeV are presented.  相似文献

An important role of the scalar isoscalar σ meson in low-energy physics is discussed. The behavior of the σ meson in a hot and dense medium is studied. It is shown that, in the vicinity of the critical values of the temperature (T) and the chemical potential (μ), the σ meson can become a sharp resonance. This effect can lead to a strong enhancement of the processes ππγγ and ππππ near the two-pion threshold. Experimental observation of this phenomenon can be interpreted as a signal of approaching the domain where the chiral symmetry restoration and the phase transition of hadron matter into quark-gluon plasma take place.  相似文献

Analytical expressions are derived for the components of the intrinsic frame inverse mass tensor of the Bohr Hamiltonian. These expressions contain parameters which are determined by the experimental data on the B(E2)’s and the excitation energies of the low-lying collective states. It is shown that the nondiagonal component of the intrinsic frame mass tensor has a small effect on the collective motion. It is shown also that the values of the B ββ , B γγ and the rotational mass coefficientB 1 differ in the well-deformed nuclei by factor 3 or more.  相似文献

Simple Hulthén-type potential models are proposed to treat the α?α and \(\alpha {-} \text {He}^{3}\) elastic scattering. The merit of our approach is examined by computing elastic scattering phases through the judicious use of the phase function method. Reasonable agreements in scattering phase shifts are obtained with the standard data.  相似文献

In this paper we report the effect of Pb incorporation in the dielectric properties of a-Se75In25 glassy alloy. The temperature and frequency dependence of the dielectric constants and the dielectric losses in glassy Se75In25 x Pb x (x = 0, 5, 10 and 15) alloys in the frequency range (1 kHz-5 MHz) and temperature range (300–340 K) have been measured. A detailed analysis shows that the dielectric losses are dipolar in nature and can be understood in terms of hopping of charge carriers over a potential barrier as suggested by Elliott for the case of chalcogenide glasses. It has been found that both dielectric constant and the dielectric loss are highly dependent on frequency and temperature and also found to increase with increasing concentration of Pb in binary a-Se75In25 glassy system. The results have been interpreted in terms of increase in the density of defect states by the incorporation of Pb as a metallic additive in the aforesaid glassy system.  相似文献

The spin system of a Zn1 ?x Cr x Se bulk crystal (x = 0.045) was studied using thermal-neutron diffraction and magnetic measurements. Previously, it was reported in the literature that thin films (~200 nm thick) of this type of semiconductors exhibit a ferromagnetic order. In this study, the ferromagnetic order is found to be absent in the bulk crystal.  相似文献

The dependence of the magnetization relaxation rate S = ?d lnM/dlnt on temperature T is measured in YBa2Cu3O7 ? δ samples with various oxygen concentrations. It is found that the S(T) curve changes qualitatively when oxygen deficit δ exceeds the threshold value δth = 0.37. For δ < δth (T c > 60 K, where T c is the superconducting transition temperature), function S(T) has the well-known peak at T/T c = 0.4. For δ > δth (at T c < 51 K), this peak transforms into a plateau and a new sharp peak appears at T/T c = 0.1. The threshold value δth of the oxygen deficit corresponds to the transition of the sample from the disordered state into the ordered state of oxygen vacancies. We consider the change in the shape of the S(T) curve as a macroscopic manifestation of this transition.  相似文献

Experimental investigations of the field dependence of the linear magnetic birefringence (LMB) in an α-Fe2O3:Ga single crystal are presented. It is established that during crystal magnetization in the basal plane near directions perpendicular to the С2 axes in the region of magnetic field saturation, the LMB changes nonmonotonically. The observed special feature of the field LMB dependence is due to the reorganization of the magnetic α-Fe2O3:Ga structure during magnetization.  相似文献
