A hybrid quantum computing scheme is studied where the hybrid qubit is made of an ion trap qubit serving as the information storage and a solid-state charge qubit serving as the quantum processor, connected by a superconducting cavity. In this paper, we extend our previous work [CITE] and study the decoherence, coupling and scalability of the hybrid system. We present our calculations of the decoherence of the coupled ion-charge system due to the charge fluctuations in the solid-state system and the dissipation of the superconducting cavity under laser radiation. A gate scheme that exploits rapid state flips of the charge qubit to reduce decoherence by the charge noise is designed. We also study a superconducting switch that is inserted between the cavity and the charge qubit and provides tunable coupling between the qubits. The scalability of the hybrid scheme is discussed together with several potential experimental obstacles in realizing this scheme.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to implement fermionic quantum SWAP and Fredkin gates for spin qubits with the aid of charge detection. The scheme is deterministic without the need of qubit–qubit interaction, and the proposed setups consist of simple polarizing beam splitters, single-spin rotations, and charge detectors. Compared with linear optics quantum computation, this charge-measurement-based qubit scheme greatly enhances the success probability for im- plementing quantum SWAP and Fredkin gates and greatly simplifies the experimental realization of scalable quantum computers with noninteracting electrons.  相似文献

We propose a scheme for realizing two-qubit quantum phase gates with trapped ions in thermal motion. In the scheme, the ions are simultaneously illuminated by a standing-wave laser tuned to the carrier, which virtually excites several vibrational modes. The scheme puts no limitations on the intensity of the laser field, allowing the production of a quantum logic gate for hot ions with an arbitrarily high speed as long as a laser field of sufficiently high intensity is available.  相似文献

For L-C circuit, a new quantized scheme has been proposed in the context of number-phase quantization. In this quantization scheme, the number n of the electric charge q(q=en) is quantized as the charge number operator and the phase difference θ across the capacity is quantized as phase operator. Based on the scheme of number-phase quantization and the thermo field dynamics (TFD), the quantum fluctuations of the charge number and phase difference of a mesoscopic L-C circuit in the thermal vacuum state, the thermal coherent state and the thermal squeezed state have been studied. It is shown that these quantum fluctuations of the charge number and phase difference are related to not only the parameters of circuit, the squeezing parameter, but also the temperature in these quantum states. It is proven that the number-phase quantization scheme is very useful to tackle with quantization of some mesoscopic electric circuits and the quantum effects.  相似文献

We propose a scheme of implementing the Deutsch-Jozsa algorithm based on superconducing charge qubits, which would be a key step to scale more complex quantum algorithms and very important for constructing a real quantum computer via superconducting charge qubits. The present scheme is simple but fairly efficient, and easily manipulated because arbitrary two-qubit can be selectively and effectively coupled by a common inductance. More manipulations can be carried out before decoherence sets in. The proposed scheme is in line with current technology.  相似文献

We probe local charge fluctuations in a semiconductor via laser spectroscopy on a nearby self-assembled quantum dot. We demonstrate that the quantum dot is sensitive to changes in the local environment at the single-charge level. By controlling the charge state of localized defects, we are able to infer the distance of the defects from the quantum dot with ±5 nm resolution. The results identify and quantify the main source of charge noise in the commonly used optical field-effect devices.  相似文献

We propose a new and feasible scheme to implement quantum gates in decoherence-free subspaces (DFSs) with Josephson charge qubits situated in a circuit QED architecture. Based on the resonator-assisted interaction, the controllable interqubit couplings occur only by tuning the individual flux biases, by which we obtain the DFS-encoded universal quantum gates. Compared with the non-DFS situation, we numerically consider the robustness of the DFS-encoded scheme that can be insensitive to the collective noises. Thus the protocol may perform the fault-tolerant quantum computing with Josephson charge qubits.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to suppress the laser phase noise without increasing the optomechanical single-photon coupling strength.In the scheme,the parametric amplification terms,created by Kerr and Duffing nonlinearities,can restrain laser phase noise and strengthen the effective optomechanical coupling,respectively.Interestingly,decreasing laser phase noise leads to increasing thermal noise,which is inhibited by bringing in a broadband-squeezed vacuum environment.To reflect the superiority of the scheme,we simulate quantum memory and stationary optomechanical entanglement as examples,and the corresponding numerical results demonstrate that the laser phase noise is extremely suppressed.Our method can pave the way for studying other quantum phenomena.  相似文献

We propose a scheme to implement quantum state transfer in a hybrid circuit quantum electrodynarnics (QED) system which consists of a superconducting charge qubit, a flux qubit, and a transmission line resonator (TLR). We report measurements of a tunable double quantum dot, operating in the quantum regime, with integrated local charge sensors. The spatial resolution of the sensors allows the charge distribution within the double dot system to be resolved at fixed total charge. We use this readout scheme to investigate charge delocalization as a function of temperature and strength of tunnel coupling, demonstrating that local charge sensing can be used to accurately determine the interdot coupling in the absence of transport.  相似文献

We present a scheme of quantum computing with charge qubits corresponding to one excess electron shared between dangling-bond pairs of surface silicon atoms that couple to a microwave stripline resonator on a chip. By choosing a certain evolution time, we propose the realization of a set of universal single-and two-qubit logical gates. Due to its intrinsic stability and scalability, the silicon dangling-bond charge qubit can be regarded as one of the most promising candidates for quantum computation. Compared to the previous schemes on quantum computing with silicon bulk systems, our scheme shows such advantages as a long coherent time and direct control and readout.  相似文献

研究一种采用光折变多量子阱器件的无线光通信自差拍接收方案。与寻常相干接收方案相比,省去了中频跟踪电子系统;与量子阱器件零拍方案相比,采用中频窄带滤波器,提高了接收端机的输出信噪比。理论上研究了自差拍相干接收方案,从其物理机制出发,结合信噪比分析,探讨了影响相干接收方案的主要因素。建立了该方案的实验系统,并开展了有意义的实验研究。理论分析及实验结果表明,该方案对激光大气传输所引起的诸多不利影响皆有一定的抑制作用,因而有可能应用于卫星地面激光通信和地面无线光通信系统。  相似文献

We propose and analyze a new concept for secure key distribution based on establishing laser oscillations between the sender and receiver. Compared to quantum mechanics based systems, our scheme allows for significantly higher key-establishing rates and longer ranges. By properly designing the laser structure, it is possible to increase the difficulty of eavesdropping almost arbitrarily, thus making our scheme an intriguing alternative and a complementary technology to quantum key-distribution systems.  相似文献

The density of donor impurity states in a square GaAs–AlGaAs quantum well under an intense laser field is calculated taking into account the laser dressing effects on both the Coulomb potential and the confining potential. Using the effective-mass approximation within a variational scheme, the donor binding energy is obtained as a function of the laser dressing parameter, and the impurity position. Our results point out that a proper consideration of the density of impurity states may be of relevance in the interpretation of the optical phenomena related to shallow impurities in quantum wells, where the effects of an intense laser field compete with the quantum confinement.  相似文献

A new variant of realization of quantum memory based on the use of a photon echo in an optically dense three-level gaseous medium is proposed. The use of a long-lived highly excited optical level as a storage of quantum information is the characteristic feature of the scheme proposed. This scheme of quantum memory is distinguished by reduced optical noises owing to the possibility of realizing temporal, spectral, and spatial selection of weak quantum radiation relative to the accompanying laser pulsed fields.  相似文献

A scheme for a far-infrared fountain laser on transitions between subbands of dimensional quantization in the conduction band in a AlGaAs heterostructure with quantum wells, generating an electromagnetic field in the far-infrared range, is proposed. It is shown that such a device can operate at room temperature using radiation of a CO2 laser or several mid-infrared quantum cascade lasers as pump radiation.  相似文献

It is well known that multiple superconducting charge qubits coupled to a transmission line resonator can be controlled to achieve quantum logic gates between two arbitrary qubits. We propose a scheme to realize a quantum conditional phase gate with a geometric property by circuit electrodynamics, and it is applied naturally to reaJize the quantum Fourier transform with high fidelity. It is also demonstrated that the application is feasible and considerable under the present experimental technology.  相似文献
