A new class of maps called unimodal Allee maps are introduced. Such maps arise in the study of population dynamics in which the population goes extinct if its size falls below a threshold value. A unimodal Allee map is thus a unimodal map with three fixed points, a zero fixed point, a small positive fixed point, called threshold point, and a bigger positive fixed point, called the carrying capacity. In this paper, the properties and stability of the three fixed points are studied in the setting of non-autonomous periodic dynamical systems or difference equations. Finally, we investigate the bifurcation of periodic systems/difference equations when the system consists of two unimodal Allee maps.  相似文献

In this paper, the single species modelled by (asymptotically) periodic Gompertz equation is investigated. It is shown that the (asymptotically) periodic system has a unique (asymptotically) periodic solution which is globally asymptotically stable for the positive solution. When the nonautonomous Gompertz equation is subject to harvesting, we study the optimal harvesting policy for the periodic system and obtain the corresponding optimal population level and the maximum sustainable yield. Further, when the functions in the exploited Gompertz system are stably bounded functions, we study the ultimately optimal harvesting policy. By choosing the average limiting maximum sustainable yield as management objective, the corresponding optimal population level is determined.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish the existence of four positive periodic solutions for the first order differential system by using the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory. A one-island selection-migration model is used to study the periodic immigration of a population of fixed allele frequency into a natural population. Density-dependent selection and immigration are the primary factors affecting the demographic and genetic change in the island population. With the assumptions of complete dominance (CD) or no dominance (ND) and homozygote superiority in fitness, the existence and location of global attractors are established. Analysis of this model provides rudimentary information about the migration of transgenes into a natural population.  相似文献

We establish the basic theory of almost periodic sequences on ?+. Dichotomy techniques are then utilized to find sufficient conditions for the existence of a globally attracting almost periodic solution of a semilinear system of difference equations. These existence results are, subsequently, applied to discretely reproducing populations with and without overlapping generations. Furthermore, we access evidence for attenuance and resonance in almost periodically forced population models.  相似文献

In this paper we consider the nonlinear impulsive delay population model. The main objective is to systematically study the qualitative behavior of the model including existence of periodic solutions, global attractivity and oscillation. The main oscillation results are the results of the prevalence of the mature cells about the periodic solutions and the global attractivity results are the conditions for nonexistence of dynamical diseases on the population.  相似文献

In this paper, a neutral delay Logarithmic population model with feedback control is studied. In this paper, a periodic budworm population model with impulsive perturbations is investigated. The impulse is realized at fixed moments of time. A good understanding of the existence and global asymptotic stability of positive periodic solutions is gained. It turns out that the impulsive perturbations play an important role and have effects on the above dynamics of the system. In this paper, we study the periodic Gompertz system with harvesting. First, we analyze the system with continuous harvesting and obtain the maximum annual-sustainable yield, the optimal harvesting effort and the optimal population level for such a system. Then, the harvesting is assumed to occur at fixed moments every year, and we establish the Gompertz system with impulsive perturbation. And we investigate the impulsive harvesting policy to maximize the annual yield and to keep the population sustainable development. At last, the optimal results of the impulsive harvesting system are compared with those of the continuous harvesting system.  相似文献

In this Letter, for a general class of delayed periodic multispecies Logarithmic population model, we prove some new results on the existence of positive periodic solutions by contraction principle. The global exponential stability of positive periodic solutions is discussed further, and conditions for exponential convergence are given. Using continuation methods and bifurcation theory, we study the exact multiplicity of periodic solutions, and the global solution structure, for periodic problems of first order. The results are applied to a population model with fishing, and to the existence and stability of limit cycles. This paper discusses a discrete Lotka-Volterra competition system. We first obtain the persistence of the system. Assuming that the coefficients in the system are periodic, we obtain the existence of a periodic solution. Moreover, under some additional conditions, this periodic solution is globally stable. Our results not only reduce to those for the scalar equation when there is no coupling but also improve and complement some in the literature.  相似文献

In this work we show that the Wecken theorem for periodic points holds for periodic homeomorphisms on closed surfaces, which therefore completes the periodic point theory in such a special case. Using it we derive the set of homotopy minimal periods for such homeomorphisms. Moreover we show that the results hold for homotopically periodic self-maps of closed surfaces. This let us to re-formulate our results as a statement on properties of elements of finite order in the group of outer automorphisms of the fundamental group of a surface with non-positive Euler characteristic.  相似文献

The current paper is devoted to the study of spatial spreading dynamics of monostable equations with nonlocal dispersal in spatially periodic habitats. In particular, the existence and characterization of spreading speeds is considered. First, a principal eigenvalue theory for nonlocal dispersal operators with space periodic dependence is developed, which plays an important role in the study of spreading speeds of nonlocal periodic monostable equations and is also of independent interest. In terms of the principal eigenvalue theory it is then shown that the monostable equation with nonlocal dispersal has a spreading speed in every direction in the following cases: the nonlocal dispersal is nearly local; the periodic habitat is nearly globally homogeneous or it is nearly homogeneous in a region where it is most conducive to population growth in the zero-limit population. Moreover, a variational principle for the spreading speeds is established.  相似文献
