Optimality and duality with generalized convexity   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
Hanson and Mond have given sets of necessary and sufficient conditions for optimality and duality in constrained optimization by introducing classes of generalized convex functions, called type I and type II functions. Recently, Bector defined univex functions, a new class of functions that unifies several concepts of generalized convexity. In this paper, optimality and duality results for several mathematical programs are obtained combining the concepts of type I and univex functions. Examples of functions satisfying these conditions are given.  相似文献

A nonlinear multiple objective programming problem is considered where the functions involved are nondifferentiable. By considering the concept of weak minima, the Fritz John type and Karush-Kuhn- Tucker type necessary optimality conditions and Wolfe and Mond-Weir type duality results are given in terms of the right differentials of the functions. In this paper, we extend the classes of generalized type I vector-valued functions introduced by Aghezzaf and Hachimi in [J. Global Optim. 18 (2000) 91-101] to generalized univex type I vector-valued functions and consider a multiple-objective optimization problem involving generalized type I univex functions. A number of Kuhn-Tucker type sufficient optimality conditions are obtained for a feasible solution to be an efficient solution. Generalized Abel type integral equations with Gauss, Kummer's and Humbert's confluent hypergeometric functions in the kernel and generalized Abel type integral equations with localized fractional integrals are considered. The left-hand sides of these equations are inversed by using generalized fractional derivatives. Explicit solutions of the equations in the class of locally summable functions are obtained. They are represented in terms of hypergeometric functions. Asymptotic power exponential type expansions of the generalized and localized fractional integrals are obtained. The base solutions of the generalized Abel type integral equation are given in the form of asymptotic series.  相似文献

In this article, we look beyond convexity and introduce the four new classes of functions, namely, approximate pseudoconvex functions of type I and type II and approximate quasiconvex functions of type I and type II. Suitable examples illustrating the non emptiness of the newly defined classes and distinguishing them from the existing classical notions of pseudoconvexity and quasiconvexity are provided. These newly defined concepts are then employed to establish sufficient optimality conditions for the quasi efficient solutions of a vector optimization problem.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to show some examples of matrix-valued orthogonal functions on the real line which are simultaneously eigenfunctions of a second-order differential operator of Schrödinger type and an integral operator of Fourier type. As a consequence we derive integral equations of these functions as well as other useful structural formulas. Rates of convergence of the Komlos-Major-Tusnady type in the invariance principle for empirical processes indexed by functions are obtained. The conditions are given in terms of the empirical entropy and the accuracy of the Haar type approximation for the corresponding classes of functions. We introduce a class of Schur type functions associated with polynomial sequences of binomial type. This can be regarded as a generalization of the ordinary Schur functions and the factorial Schur functions. This generalization satisfies some interesting expansion formulas, in which there is a curious duality. At present, the investigations for the properties of these operators are only limited to the functions of bounded variation. Some authors studied the rate of point-wise rate of convergence, asymptotic formula of Voronovskaja type, and some direct results about these type of operators. We discuss the value distribution of Borel measurable functions which are subharmonic or meromorphic along leaves on laminations. They are called leafwise subharmonic functions or meromorphic functions respectively. We consider cases that each leaf is a negatively curved Riemannian manifold or Kähler manifold. We first consider the case when leaves are Riemannian with a harmonic measure in L.Garnett sense. We show some Liouville type theorem holds for leafwise subharmonic functions in this case. In the case of laminations whose leaves are Kähler manifolds with some curvature condition we consider the value distribution of leafwise meromorphic functions. If a lamination has an ergodic harmonic measure, a variant of defect relation in Nevanlinna theory is obtained for almost all leaves. It gives a bound of the number of omitted points by those functions. Consequently we have a Picard type theorem for leafwise meromorphic functions.  相似文献
