T. Wanner We investigate global dynamics of the equation where the parameters b,c, and f are nonnegative numbers with condition b + c > 0,f ≠ 0 and the initial conditions x?1,x0 are arbitrary nonnegative numbers such that x?1+x0>0. We obtain precise characterization of basins of attraction of all attractors of this equation and describe the dynamics in terms of bifurcations of period‐two solutions. Global asymptotical stability of the positive equilibrium (PE) of a dynamical system is one of the research focus in theoretical studies of both continuous and discrete bio-mathematical models. In this paper, we shall establish the global asymptotical stability of the PE of a discrete Logistic competitive model in certain planar region. Indeed, sufficient conditions, dependent only on the parameters of the model, are obtained to ensure the global asymptotical stability of the PE in this region. The parameter region that corresponds to these sufficient conditions can be illustrated graphically and several examples of such regions are presented. Our approach to establish the global asymptotical stability of the PE involves proving the global attractivity of the PE in the planar region concerned and a key process here is the derivation of the maxima of the related functions in the planar region.  相似文献

We consider smooth solutions of the Euler‐Poisson system for ion dynamics in which the electron density is replaced by a Boltzmann relation. The system arises in the modeling of plasmas, where appear two small parameters, the relaxation time and the Debye length. When the initial data are sufficiently close to constant equilibrium states, we prove the convergence of the system for all time, as each of the parameters goes to zero. The limit systems are drift‐diffusion equations and compressible Euler equations. The proof is based on uniform energy estimates and compactness arguments.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the qualitative behavior of a competitive system of second‐order rational difference equations. More precisely, we investigate the boundedness character, existence and uniqueness of positive equilibrium point, local asymptotic stability and global stability of the unique positive equilibrium point and rate of convergence of positive solutions of the system. We investigate the global existence and analyticity of mild solution to the three-dimensional generalized Hall-magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) system in this work. We prove the global existence and analyticity of solutions in the corresponding critical spaces. Summary It is well known that oscillators such as the pendulum can have fractal basin boundaries when they are periodically forced with the consequence that the long term behavior of the system may be unpredictable. In engineering and physical applications, the forcing is often nonperiodic and eventually decays to zero, and simulation of the pendulum with decaying forcing (M. Varghese, J. S. Thorp, Physical Review Letters, vol. 60, no. 8, pp. 665–668, Feb. 1988) exhibits truncated fractal basin boundaries which also limit the system predictability. We develop a coordinate change for the pendulum with decaying forcing that allows us to apply standard qualitative methods to study the basin boundaries. We prove that the basin boundaries cannot be fractal and show by example how the extreme stretching and folding leading to a truncated fractal basin boundary may arise.  相似文献

A Filippov-type plant disease model is developed by introducing a interaction ratio threshold, the number of susceptible plants infected by per diseased plant, which determines whether control measures including replanting or roguing are carried out. The main purpose of this paper is to give a completely qualitative analysis of the model. By employing Poincaré maps, our analysis reveals rich dynamics including a global attractor bounded by a touching closed orbit, which is convergent in finite time from its outside, a global attractor bounded by two touching closed orbits and a pseudo-saddle, and a globally asymptotically stable pseudo-node. Moreover, we give biological implications of our results in implementing control strategies for plant diseases.  相似文献

We consider the attraction–repulsion chemotaxis system with rotational flux terms where is a bounded domain with smooth boundary. Here, S1 and S2 are given parameter functions on [0,)2×Ω with values in . It is shown that for any choice of suitably regular initial data (u0,v0,w0) fulfilling a smallness condition on the norm of v0,w0 in L(Ω), the corresponding initial‐boundary value problem possesses a global bounded classical solution. This paper studies the global dynamics of a discontinuous delayed model of malicious signal transmission in wireless sensor networks under the framework of differential inclusion. The local stability of two types of steady states are investigated for the discontinuous system by studying the corresponding characteristic equation. The sufficient conditions for the existence of two types of globally asymptotically stable steady states are obtained for the discontinuous system by using the comparison arguments method. Furthermore, the optimal control of the discontinuous system is investigated by using Pontryagin’s maximum principle. Numerical simulations of two examples are carried out to illustrate the main theoretical results. The obtained results can help us to better control and predict the spread of malicious signal transmission in wireless sensor networks.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a class of delayed competitive neural networks with discontinuous activations. Without assuming the boundedness and local Lipschizian on the activation functions, some new criteria ensuring the existence and global exponential stability of almost periodic solutions for the neural network model considered in this work are established by constructing some suitable Lyapunov functionals and employing the theory of nonsmooth analysis. We study the initial boundary value problem to the system of the compressible Navier-Stokes equations coupled with the Maxwell equations through the Lorentz force in a bounded annulus Ω of R3.
