We establish the local well-posedness for a generalized Dullin-Gottwald-Holm equation by using Kato’s theory. Furthermore, the orbital stability of the peaked solitary waves is also proved.  相似文献

We study viscosity solutions of Hamilton-Jacobi equations that arise in optimal control problems with unbounded controls and discontinuous Lagrangian. In our assumptions, the comparison principle will not hold, in general. We prove optimality principles that extend the scope of the results of [23] under very general assumptions, allowing unbounded controls. In particular, our results apply to calculus of variations problems under Tonelli type coercivity conditions. Optimality principles can be applied to obtain necessary and sufficient conditions for uniqueness in boundary value problems, and to characterize minimal and maximal solutions when uniqueness fails. We give examples of applications of our results in this direction.  相似文献

We obtain the existence of global-in-time weak solutions for the Cauchy problem of a modified two-component Camassa-Holm equation. The global weak solution is obtained as a limit of viscous approximation. The key elements in our analysis are the Helly theorem and some a priori one-sided supernorm and space-time higher integrability estimates on the first-order derivatives of approximation solutions.  相似文献

We consider Schrödinger equation in R2+1R2+1 with nonlinear scalar potential. The potentials are time-independent or determined as solutions to inhomogeneous wave equations. By constructing a modified propagator, we derive Kato-type smoothing estimates for the nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation. With the help of these results, we prove the unique solvability of the nonlinear Klein–Gordon–Schrödinger (NKGS) system for all time in the energy space.  相似文献

We establish the local well-posedness for a new nonlinearly dispersive wave equation which has solutions that exist for indefinite times as well as solutions that blowup infinite time. We also derive an explosion criterion for the equation, and we give a sharp estimate of the existence time for solutions with smooth initial data.  相似文献

We consider a weakly dissipative hyperelastic-rod wave equation (or weakly dissipative Camassa–Holm equation) describing nonlinear dispersive dissipative waves in compressible hyperelastic rods. We fix a smooth solution and establish the existence of a strongly continuous semigroup of global weak solutions for any initial perturbation from In particular, the supersonic solitary shock waves [8] are included in the analysis. A nonlinear shallow water equation, which includes the famous Camassa-Holm (CH) and Degasperis-Procesi (DP) equations as special cases, is investigated. The local well-posedness of solutions for the nonlinear equation in the Sobolev space Hs(R) with is developed. Provided that does not change sign, u0Hs () and u0L1(R), the existence and uniqueness of the global solutions to the equation are shown to be true in u(t,x)∈C([0,∞);Hs(R))∩C1([0,∞);Hs−1(R)). Conditions that lead to the development of singularities in finite time for the solutions are also acquired.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with global existence and blow-up phenomena for the weakly dissipative Camassa-Holm equation. A new global existence result and a new blow-up result for strong solutions to the equation with certain profiles are presented. The obtained results improve considerable the previous results.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with global existence and blow-up phenomena for an integrable two-component Camassa-Holm shallow water system. A new global existence result and several new blow-up results of strong solutions to the system are presented. Our obtained results for the system are sharp and improve considerably earlier results.  相似文献

This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for a higher order shallow water equation yt+auxy+buyx=0, where and k=2. The local well-posedness of solutions for the Cauchy problem in Sobolev space Hs(R) with s?7/2 is obtained. Under some assumptions, the existence and uniqueness of the global solutions to the equation are shown, and conditions that lead to the development of singularities in finite time for the solutions are also acquired. Finally, the weak solution for the equation is considered.  相似文献

We investigate the uniform piecewise linearizing question for a family of Lorenz maps. Let f be a piecewise linear Lorenz map with different slopes and positive topological entropy, we show that f is conjugate to a linear mod one transformation and the conjugacy admits a dichotomy: it is either bi-Lipschitz or singular depending on whether f is renormalizable or not. f is renormalizable if and only if its rotation interval degenerates to be a rational point. Furthermore, if the endpoints are periodic points with the same rotation number, then the conjugacy is quasisymmetric.  相似文献

This paper presents an existence proof for symmetric modulating pulse solutions of a quasilinear wave equation. Modulating pulse solutions consist of a pulse-like envelope advancing in the laboratory frame and modulating an underlying wave train; they are also referred to as ‘moving breathers’ since they are time periodic in a moving frame of reference. The problem is formulated as an infinite-dimensional dynamical system with two stable, two unstable and infinitely many neutral directions. Using a partial normal form and a generalisation of local invariant-manifold theory to the quasilinear setting we prove the existence of modulating pulses on arbitrarily large, but finite domains in space and time.  相似文献

We first prove the existence of global conservative solutions to the Cauchy problem for a modified two-component Camassa-Holm shallow water system. Then, we show that these global solutions, which depend continuously on the initial date, construct a semigroup.  相似文献

In this paper, we establish a new resonance identity for symmetric closed characteristics on symmetric compact convex hypersurface Σ   in R2nR2n when there exist only finitely many geometrically distinct symmetric closed characteristics. As its applications, some interesting results about the stability and multiplicity of symmetric closed characteristics are obtained, and also we prove that if Σ   is CC-generic, it carries infinitely many symmetric closed characteristics.  相似文献

For every integerd>2 we give an explicit construction of infinitely many Cayley graphsX of degreed withn(X) vertices and girth >0.4801...(logn(X))/log (d−1)−2. This improves a result of Margulis. Dedicated to Paul Erdős on his seventieth birthday  相似文献

We prove existence of small amplitude periodic solutions of completely resonant wave equations with frequencies in a Cantor set of asymptotically full measure, via a variational principle. A Lyapunov-Schmidt decomposition reduces the problem to a finite dimensional bifurcation equation—variational in nature—defined on a Cantor set of non-resonant parameters. The Cantor gaps are due to “small divisors” phenomena. To solve the bifurcation equation we develop a suitable variational method. In particular, we do not require the typical “Arnold non-degeneracy condition” of the known theory on the nonlinear terms. As a consequence our existence results hold for new generic sets of nonlinearities.  相似文献

We consider a partially hyperbolic set K on a Riemannian manifold M whose tangent space splits as TKM=EcuEs, for which the center-unstable direction Ecu expands non-uniformly on some local unstable disk. We show that under these assumptions f induces a Gibbs-Markov structure. Moreover, the decay of the return time function can be controlled in terms of the time typical points need to achieve some uniform expanding behavior in the center-unstable direction. As an application of the main result we obtain certain rates for decay of correlations, large deviations, an almost sure invariance principle and the validity of the central limit theorem.  相似文献
