A series of the double-doping samples La(2+x)/3Sr(1−4x)/3Mn1−xCrxO3 (0?x?0.25) with the Mn3+/Mn4+ ratio fixed at 2:1 have been fabricated. The structural, magnetic, transport properties and Raman spectroscopy have been investigated, and no apparent crystal structure change is introduced by Cr doping up to x=0.25. But the Curie temperature TC and metal-insulator transition temperature TMI are strongly affected by Cr substitution. The room temperature Raman spectra start exhibiting some new features following the increasing concentration of Cr substitutions. Moreover, it is worth noting that the frequency of the A1g phonon mode can also be well correlated with the A-site mismatch effect (σ2), which is influenced mainly by the variety of the Sr content.  相似文献

The magnetic property of double doped manganite Nd0.5(1+x)Ca0.5(1−x)Mn(1−x)CrxO3 with a fixed ratio of Mn3+:Mn4+=1:1 has been investigated. For the undoped sample, it undergoes one transition from charge disordering to charge ordering (CO) associated with paramagnetic (PM)-antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase transition at T<250 K. The long range AFM ordering seems to form at 35 K, rather than previously reported 150 K. At low temperature, an asymmetrical M-H hysteresis loop occurs due to weak AFM coupling. For the doped samples, the substitution of Cr3+ for Mn3+ ions causes the increase of magnetization and the rise of Tc. As the Cr3+ concentration increases, the CO domain gradually becomes smaller and the CO melting process emerges. At low temperature, the FM superexchange interaction between Mn3+ and Cr3+ ions causes a magnetic upturn, namely, the second FM phase transition.  相似文献

The magnetism and transport properties of the samples LaMn1−xTixO3 (0≤x≤0.2) were investigated. All samples show a rhombohedral structure () at room temperature. The sample with x=0 undergoes the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic (PM-FM) transition accompanied by an insulator-metal (I-M) transition due to the oxygen excess. The doped samples show ferromagnetism and cluster behavior at low temperatures. Though no I-M transition associated with the PM-FM transition appears, the magnetoresistance (MR) effect was observed especially at low temperatures under the applied fields of 0.5 T. Due to the fact that the oxygen content in the Ti-doped samples is nearly stochiometry (3.01) and the Hall resistivity at room temperature is negative, the ferromagnetism in LaMn1−xTixO3 (0.05≤x≤0.2) is believed to be consistent with the Mn2+-O-Mn3+ double exchange (DE) mechanism. These results suggest that DE can be obtained by direct Mn-site doping.  相似文献

Systematic studies of the structural, transport, magnetic and specific heat behavior have been performed on the perovskite molybdates SrMo1−xNixO3 (0.02≤x≤0.08). Ni doping at the Mo site does not change the structure of all samples, but increases the lattice parameter a monotonically. All of the doped samples keep their metallic behavior. The magnetic properties keep a Pauli paramagnetism in the high-temperature region, but have a ferromagnetic (FM) transition at about 50 K. The resistivity, ρ, and magnetic susceptibility, χ, increase, while the electronic specific heat coefficient, γe, decreases monotonically with the increase of Ni doping content, x. The electronic transport of all samples shows a T2 dependence in the low-temperature region and a T dependence in the high-temperature region, respectively. The temperature dependence of the specific heat can be well described by the formula Cp(T)/T=γe+βpT2 in the low-temperature range. These behaviors can be explained by the competition between the decrease in the density of states (DOS) at the Fermi level and the electron localization due to the disorder effect induced by the random distribution of Ni at the Mo site in the samples.  相似文献

The study of the structural and magnetic phase diagram of the manganites La1−xAgxMnO3 shows similarity with the La1−xSrxMnO3 series, involving a metallic ferromagnetic domain at relatively high temperature (≈300 K). The Ag-system differs from the Sr-one by a much smaller homogeneity range (x≤1/6) and the absence of charge ordering. But the most important feature of the Ag-manganites deals with the exceptionally high magnetoresistance (−25%) at room temperature under 1.2 T, that appears for the composition x=1/6. The latter is interpreted as the coincidence of the optimal double exchange condition (Mn3+:Mn4+=2) with Tmax=300 K (maximum of the ρ(T) curve in zero field).  相似文献

The effect of Pr-doping on structural, electronic transport, magnetic properties in perovskite molybdates Sr1−xPrxMoO3 (0≤x≤0.15) has been investigated. The Pr-doping at Sr-site does not change the space group of the samples, but decreases the lattice parameter a. The magnitude of resistivity ρ increases initially (x≤0.08) and then decreases with further increasing Pr-doping level x and ρ(T) behaves as T2 and T dependence in the low-temperature range blow T* and high-temperature range of 150 K<T<350 K, related to the electron-electron (e-e) and electron-phonon (e-ph) scattering, respectively. The magnetic susceptibility χ value of the sample increases with increasing x and the χ(T) curve for all samples can be well described by the model of exchange-enhanced paramagnetism. The specific heat magnitude in the low-temperature region increases with increasing Pr-doping level. The specific heat value agrees with the classical Dulong-Petit phonon specific heat, Ccl=3kBrNA=124.7 J/mol K in the high-temperature region and the temperature dependence of the specific heat can be well described by the formula Cp(T)/T=γe+βpT2 in the low-temperature range. These behaviors can be explained by the competition between the increase in the density of state (DOS) at Fermi energy level and the disorder effect due to Pr-doping.  相似文献

Oxidative (δ>0) nonstoichiometry in the perovskite ‘LaMnO3+δ’ has been known to be manifested not with O interstitials but rather with cation vacancies of equal amounts at the two cation sites, La and Mn, i.e. La1−xMn1−yO3 with x=y. Here, we report the fabrication of samples with record-high cation-vacancy concentrations (x>0.12 or δ>0.4) by means of a variety of high-pressure oxygenation techniques. Linear (negative) dependence of the cell volume on x was observed within the whole x range investigated, down to 56.9 Å3 (per formula unit) for a sample oxygenated at 5 GPa and 1100 °C using Ag2O2 as an excess oxygen source. With increasing degree of cation deficiency in La1−xMn1−xO3, the ferromagnetic transition temperature was found to follow a bell shape with respect to x exhibiting a maximum of ∼250 K about x≈0.1. For moderately oxygenated samples large magnetoresistance effect was evidenced.  相似文献

The structure, transport and magnetic properties of (La0.8Sr0.2)1−xMnO3 (0≤x≤0.30) polycrystalline perovskite manganites have been investigated. For all the samples the Curie temperatures, Tc, remain nearly unchanged (329±3 K). Resistivity versus temperature curves for the samples show a double-peak behavior. A significant magnetoresistance (MR) effect and different temperature dependences of the MR ratios of the samples are observed. The shapes of the MR-T curves of the samples can be adjusted by changing x. For the x=0.30 sample, a nearly constant MR ratio of (9.5±0.5)% is obtained over the temperature range from 205 to 328 K.  相似文献

Li[NixLi(1/3−2x/3)Mn(2/3−x/3)]O2 (X=0.17, 0.25, 0.33, 0.5) compounds are prepared by a simple combustion method. The Rietvelt analysis shows that these compounds could be classified as having the α-NaFeO2 structure. The initial charge-discharge and irreversible capacity increases with the decrease of x in Li[NixLi(1/3−2x/3)Mn(2/3−x/3)]O2. Indeed, Li[Ni0.50Mn0.50]O2 compound shows relatively low initial discharge capacity of 200 mAh/g and large capacity loss during cycling, with Li[Ni0.17Li0.22Mn0.61]O2 and Li[Ni0.25Li0.17Mn0.58]O2 compounds exhibit high initial discharge capacity over 245 mAh/g and stable cycle performance in the voltage range of 4.8 -2.0 V. On the other hand, XANES analysis shows that the oxidation state of Ni ion reversibly changes between Ni2+ and about Ni3+, while the oxidation state of Mn ion sustains Mn4+ during charge-discharge process. This result does not agree with the previously reported ‘electrochemistry model’ of Li[NixLi(1/3−2x/3)Mn(2/3−x/3)]O2, in which Ni ion changes between Ni2+ and NI4+. Based on these results, we modified oxidation-state change of Mn and Ni ion during charge-discharge process.  相似文献

The effect of Te-doping at La-site on structural, magnetic and transport properties in the manganites La0.7Sr0.3−xTexMnO3 (0≤x≤0.15) has been investigated. All samples show a rhombohedral structure with the space group . It shows that the Mn-O-Mn bond angle decreases and the Mn-O bond length increases with the increase of Te content. The Curie temperature TC decreases with increasing Te-doping level, in contrast, the magnetization magnitude of Te-doping samples at low temperatures increase with increasing x as x≤0.05 and then decrease with further increasing x to 0.15. The results are discussed in terms of the combined effects of the opening of the new double exchange (DE) channel between Mn2+-O-Mn3+ due to the introduction of Mn2+ ions because of the substitution of Te4+ for Sr2+ and the reduction of the transfer integral b due to the decrease of the Mn-O-Mn bond angle.  相似文献

The effect of Te-doping at La-site on structural, magnetic and transport properties in the manganites La0.7Ca0.3−xTexMnO3 (0≤x≤0.15) has been investigated. All samples show an orthorhombic structure (O′-Pbnm) at room temperature. It shows that the Mn-O-Mn bond angle decreases and the Mn-O bond length increases with the increase in the Te content. All samples exhibit an insulator-metal (I-M) transition and the resistivity increases with the increase in the Te-doping level. Additionally, the Curie temperature Tc decreases and the transition becomes broader with increasing Te-doping level, in contrast, the magnetization of Te-doping samples at low temperatures decrease with increasing x as x≤0.10 and then increase with further increasing x to 0.15. The results are discussed in terms of Jahn-Teller (JT) vibrational anisotropy Q3/Q2 and the opening of the new DE channel between Mn2+-O-Mn3+ due to the introduction of Mn2+ ions because of the substitution of Te4+ ions for Ca2+ ions.  相似文献

The roles of aliovalent CaII-for-YIII substitution and high-pressure-oxygen annealing in the process of ‘superconducterizing’ the Co-based layered copper oxide, CoSr2(Y1−xCax)Cu2O7+δ (Co-1212), were investigated. The as-air-synthesized samples up to x=0.4 were found essentially oxygen stoichiometric (−0.03≤δ≤0.00). These samples, however, were not superconducting, suggesting that the holes created by the divalent-for-trivalent cation substitution are trapped on Co in the charge reservoir. Ultra-high-pressure heat treatment carried out at 5 GPa and 500 °C for 30 min in the presence of Ag2O2 as an excess oxygen source induced bulk superconductivity in these samples. The highest Tc was obtained for the high-oxygen-pressure treated x=0.3 sample at ∼40 K.  相似文献

The magnetic and transport properties of La1−xCaxMnO3 (0≤x<0.4) have been systematically studied. The magnetoresistance (MR) maximum appears at x=0.2-0.25 and the temperature dependence of MR for x>0.25 shows a much broader profile than that of samples for x=0.2-0.25. Based on a scenario in which there is a short-range charge ordering (CO) state coexisting in the ferromagnetic state matrix for x>0.25, and the least or even no short-range CO state exists in samples for x=0.2-0.25, the above observations can be understood.  相似文献

The effect of Co doping at Mn-site on the structural, magnetic and electrical transport properties in electron-doped manganties La0.9Te0.1Mn1−xCoxO3 (0≤x≤0.25) has been investigated. The room temperature structural transition from rhombohedra to orthorhombic (Pbnm) symmetry is found in these samples with x≥0.20 by the Rietveld refinement of X-ray powder diffraction patterns. All samples undergo the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic (PM-FM) phase transition. The Curie temperature TC of these samples decreases and the transition becomes broader with increasing Co-doping level. The magnetization magnitude of Co-doping samples increases at low temperatures with increasing Co-doping level for x≤0.15 and decreases with increasing Co-doping content further. The metal-insulator (M-I) transitions observed in the sample with x=0 are completely suppressed with Co doping, and the resistivity displays semiconducting behavior within the measured temperature region for these samples with x>0. All results are discussed according to the changes of the structure parameters and magnetic exchange interaction caused by Co-doping. In addition, the different effects between the Co doping and Cu doping in the Mn site for the electron-doped manganites are also discussed.  相似文献

The magnetic and transport properties of nanocrystalline ZnxFe3−xO4 with x=0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.5, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0, respectively, fabricated by the sol-gel method have been investigated. Large magnetoresistance (MR) was observed and found to be originated both from the tunneling of the spin-polarized electrons across the adjacent ferromagnetic grains and the scattering by the canted spins at the grain surface near the grain boundaries. It has been revealed that the MR for the ZnxFe3−xO4 samples (x=0, 0.5 and 1.0) increases with the temperature decreasing from room temperature until a maximum is reached at around 55 K. Then a sharp drop occurs with the further decrease in temperature, regarded as a spin (cluster) glass transition. For the samples studied, a biggest low field (0.5 T) MR value of about 20% for x=0 at 55 K has been obtained. The mechanism of the MR behavior of the materials was discussed.  相似文献

Magnetic susceptibility, χ(T), is investigated in ceramic La1−xSrxMn1−yFeyO3 (LSMFO) samples with x=0.3 and y=0.15−0.25. A ferromagnetic (FM) transition observed in LSMFO is accompanied with an appreciable decrease of the transition temperature with increasing y, which is connected to breaking of the FM double-exchange interaction by doping with Fe. Strong magnetic irreversibility, observed in low (B=10 G) field, gives evidence for frustration of the magnetic state of LSMFO. The FM transition, which is expanded with increasing B, is more pronounced in the samples with y=0.15-0.20 and broadens considerably at y=0.25, where the irreversibility is increased. Well above the transition, χ(T) exhibits a Curie-Weiss asymptotic behavior, yielding very large values of the effective Bohr magneton number per magnetic ion, incompatible with those of Mn or Fe single ions. At y=0.15 and 0.20 a critical behavior of χ−1(T)∼(T/TC−1)γ in the region of the FM transition is characterized by influence of two different magnetic systems, a 3D percolative one with γ=γp≈1.8 and TC=TC(p), and a non-percolative 3D Heisenberg spin system, with γ=γH≈1.4 and TC=TC(H), where TC(p)<TC(H). At y=0.25 the percolative contribution to the critical behavior of χ(T) is not observed. The dependence of χ on T and y gives evidence for phase separation, with onset already near the room temperature, leading to generation of nanosize FM particles in the paramagnetic host matrix of LSMFO. The ferromagnetism of LSMFO is attributable to percolation over the system of such particles and generation of large FM clusters, whereas the frustration is governed presumably by a system of smaller weakly-correlated magnetic units, which do not enter the percolative FM clusters.  相似文献

Static computer simulation techniques have been employed for structural investigation of the La1−xSrxVO3 series. Potential parameters for V3+-O2− and V4+-O2− have been derived which reproduces the crystal structures of end members with sufficient accuracy. Variations of lattice parameters and bond distances with Sr concentration have been studied. The calculated lattice parameters decrease with increase in the Sr concentration. A structural phase transition from orthorhombic to cubic is observed at 50% Sr doping level.  相似文献

We have studied structure, magnetic and transport properties of polycrystalline Bi0.6−xEuxCa0.4MnO3 (x=0.0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, 0.5 and 0.6) perovskite manganites. Magnetic measurements show that the charge-ordering temperature (TCO) decreases with increasing x up to x=0.4 and then slightly increases with further increasing x up to x=0.6. Further, the antiferromagnetic (AFM) ordering temperature (TN) decreases with increasing x. At T<TN a transition to metamagnetic glass like state is also seen. Eu doping also leads to enhancement in the magnetic moment and a concomitant decrease in resistivity up to x=0.2 and then an increase in resistivity up to x=0.5. We propose that the local lattice distortion induced by the size mismatch between the A-site cations and 6s2 character of Bi3+ lone pair electron are responsible for the observed variation in physical properties.  相似文献

A series of phosphors with the composition Y3−xMnxAl5−xSixO12 (x=0, 0.025, 0.050, 0.075, 0.150, 0.225, 0.300) were prepared with solid state reactions. The X-ray powder diffraction analysis of samples shows that the substitution of Mn2+ and Si4+ does not change the garnet structure of phosphors, but makes the interplanar distance decrease to a certain extent. The emission spectra show that Mn2+ in Y3Al5O12 emits yellow-orange light in a broad band. With the increment of substitution content, the emission intensity of the phosphors increases firstly then decreases subsequently, and the emission peak moves to longer wavelength. Afterglow spectra and decay curves show that all the Mn2+ and Si4+ co-doped samples emit yellow-orange light with long afterglow after the irradiation of ultraviolet light. The longest afterglow time is 18 min. Thermoluminescence measurement shows that there exist two kinds of traps with different depth of energy level and their depth decreases with the increment of substitution content.  相似文献
