The forced vibration of an elastic plate under a time harmonic point force is studied. The plate is infinite in extent and supported by an elastic foundation. This study is made on the basis of the improved (Timoshenko) plate theory. The mathematical problem is to seek a fundamental solution (the Green's function) of the time-reduced plate equation of the improved plate theory. Such a fundamental solution is constructed by the distributional Fourier transform method. From the explicit expressions of the fundamental solution, the behavior of the fundamental singularity as a function of the vibration frequency and the foundation stiffness is examined. Conditions under which plate resonance occurs are also determined.  相似文献

The specific features of the formation of a diffraction image of a single edge dislocation in the case where the defect region can be located at different points of the scattering triangle are investigated by computer simlation and experimentally. The dislocation images are experimentally obtained at different wavelengths and for different reflections. The diffraction geometry in which the dislocation line is perpendicular to the sample surface and the Burgers vector is parallel or perpendicular to the reciprocal lattice vector is studied. From analysis of the experimental and theoretical images, inferences are made regarding the image symmetry, as well as the angular resolution and the sensitivity of section topography to the formation of the dislocation image. Special attention is focused on the dependence of the image contrast and the image size on the radiation wavelength, the magnitude of the reciprocal lattice vector, and the interference absorption.  相似文献

The charge composition of an ion beam from an E-Mevva source is calculated within a model of sequential electron ionization of ions in a vacuum arc plasma. The effect of the plasma initial parameters on the charge composition of the ion beam is studied. Possible charge compositions for more than 30 elements omitted from this article are estimated. Also, the charge composition of the ions is calculated for the ultimate current density of the electron beam.  相似文献

The electron energy spectrum is one of the most important characteristics of an electron beam that is extracted from a linear accelerator. The most direct way to determine an electron spectrum would be to use a magnetic spectrometer and this method could also give results with high precision and effectiveness. In this article we describe our design of a new multilayer absorption method, which is based on the depth-dose curves method that can be used in most irradiation accelerators,and adds the Monte Carlo simulation and iterative algorithm in order to reconstruct the electron energy spectrum. In this article the energy spectrum was measured using these two methods, and good results were acquired. These results could be crosschecked, which made the results more reliable.  相似文献

Effect of an entrained air bubble on the acoustics of an ink channel   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Piezo-driven inkjet systems are very sensitive to air entrapment. The entrapped air bubbles grow by rectified diffusion in the ink channel and finally result in nozzle failure. Experimental results on the dynamics of fully grown air bubbles are presented. It is found that the bubble counteracts the pressure buildup necessary for the droplet formation. The channel acoustics and the air bubble dynamics are modeled. For good agreement with the experimental data it is crucial to include the confined geometry into the model: The air bubble acts back on the acoustic field in the channel and thus on its own dynamics. This two-way coupling limits further bubble growth and thus determines the saturation size of the bubble.  相似文献

The Langevin form of the quasiclassical approximation for an electron in a magnetic field is used to find the most general expression in the first order in fa for the vacuum-fluctuation Lorentz force. Foils of an Fe77Ni1Si9B13 amorphous alloy were subjected to uniaxial tension up to their rupture. Techniques of scanning tunneling, atomic force, electron, and optical microscopy were applied to study the surface relief of loaded foils and their rupture faces. By means of wavelet transformation and by the box counting method, it was shown that, before rupture, the foil surfaces in the region of the future rupture tend to become monofractal and that the rupture face inherits this fractality.  相似文献

The initiation of an atmospheric-pressure glow discharge (APGD) is studied in the multitip cathode-planar anode electrode system through which an argon flow passes. It is shown that sectioning of the cathode and ballast resistances present at corona tips make it possible to substantially expand the current region of the discharge and considerably raise the limiting current of the APGD. The shape of the coronafree electrode is found to influence the limiting discharge current.  相似文献

Diffraction of an acoustic wave by an elastic cylinder near the surface of an elastic halfspace is considered. The solution relies on a Helmholtz-type integral equation and uses the Green function of an elastic halfspace. The latter function is represented in the form of an integral over the Sommerfeld contour on the plane of a complex variable that has the meaning of the angle of the wave incidence on the halfspace boundary. An integral equation for the sound pressure distribution over the cylinder surface is derived. This equation is reduced to an infinite system of equations for the Fourier-series expansion coefficients of this distribution. The results obtained are valid for the diffraction of a cylindrical wave and a plane wave. They also describe the diffraction of a spherical wave when the transmitter and receiver are far from the cylinder and lie in one plane that is orthogonal to the cylinder axis.  相似文献

The rate of spontaneous emission of an atom in the presence of an interface between two dielectrics was calculated using the quantum theory of electromagnetic radiation. Spatial distribution of the field for quasi-continuous spectrum inside an infinite cavity with ideally conducting walls was determined for multiple values of real refractive indices. Spontaneous emission in the continuous spectrum of the field was calculated using the known spatial Green’s function for a one-dimensional dielectric interface. The rate of spontaneous emission of an atom may either be higher or much lower than that in the free space, depending on the refractive indices and the distance between the atom and the interface between dielectrics.  相似文献

We examine the intuitive, classical idea that an interactive system involving commonly used attractive potentials should always have a pressure which is less than that of an ideal Fermi gas. We find that quantum effects are of crucial importance and that, while this idea is normally correct, under certain circumstances, the pressure can exceed that of the ideal Fermi gas.  相似文献
