Cyclization of ylidenemalononitriles. VII. Studies on sulfur-containing heterocyclic systems

Ring closure of ylidenemalononitrile adducts has been extended to the syntheses of isomeric sulfur heterocycles. The malononitrile derivatives of thiochromanone, thiochromone and iso-thiochromanone have been synthesized, and results of the acidic ring closure experiments on these compounds are reported. The thiochromanone adducts gave an interesting disproportionation reaction, and experiments designed to support the proposed route are presented.

Summary A procedure is described for the determination of 0.2–3.5 mg of the diphenyliodonium cation by extraction of its hexathiocyanatoferrate(III) Complex from slightly acidic solution into 1,2-dichloroethane. Absorbance measurements are made directly on the organic extract at 485 nm. Beer's law is not obeyed and a calibration curve must be used.

Zusammenfassung Ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung von 0,2 bis 3,5 mg Diphenyljodoniumkation durch Extraktion seines Hexathiocyanatoferrat(III)-komplexes aus sehwach saurer Lösung mit 1,2-Dichloräthan wurde beschrieben. Die Absorption des organischen Extraktes wurde unmittelbar bei 485 nm gemessen. Das Beersche Gesetz ist nicht anwendbar, weshalb man eine Eichkurve verwenden muß.

Studies on streptothricins VII. Determination of the ninhydrin-positive fragments of streptothricin antibiotics

Summary 1. A method for the quantitative analysis of the hydrolyzates of streptothricin antibiotics has been developed and has been used to determine the composition of representatives of the six types of this group of substances.2. The empirical formulae previously established for the new antibiotics have been confirmed and a proposed structure of the six types of streptothricins is discussed.3. On the basis of the results obtained, the hypothesis put forward that the empirical and structural formula of the antibiotic streptoline proposed by American workers is incorrect. Studies in Transesterification. VII. Thermally Stable Surface Graft Catalysts

The preparation of methacrylate esters by transesterification with thermally stable surface or shell graft resins as acidic catalysts and n-butanol, n-hexanol, and n-tridecanol as the reactant alcohols is described. The performance of resins with a reactive shell graft polymerized to a solid polyethylene or polytrifluorochloroethylene nucleus has been compared with several conventional micro and macroporous cation exchangers. The graft polymers exhibit faster reaction rates than micro-and macroporous resins of significantly higher capacity. The graft polymer employing a polyethylene nucleus is of similar thermal stability to the conventional cation exchangers, while the second type of graft polymer exhibits increased thermal stability which allows repeated use at the operating temperatures experienced.     

CXN天然沸石的研究VII. 骨架高硅超稳化改性

以高硅超稳化辉沸石(STI)为基底沸石,分别经盐酸脱铝或氟硅酸铵脱铝补硅处理后制备的改性H-STI沸石,其非骨架铝含量明显减少,而后者骨架硅铝比进一步提高.X射线荧光散射光谱(XRF),27Al高分辨率魔角旋转固体核磁共振(MASNMR),红外(FT-IR)光谱等表征证明改性后的沸石骨架硅铝原子比分别为6.8和11.4.低温氮吸附表明,经盐酸处理的高硅STI沸石孔道开放完美,但经氟硅酸铵处理的样品孔道被部分堵塞.分段程序升温焙烧表明前者骨架热稳定性略差,1000℃焙烧后结构基本被破坏,而后者热稳定性较好,经相同温度段焙烧后仍保持较高的结晶度和热稳定性,其结构基本实现超稳化.

Studies on response characteristics of drug ISE's (VII)--performance and theoretical treatment of microcells connected in series

A new type of MCCS (microcells connected in series) has been constructed and its performances investigated. It has been applied to the determination of streptomycin. The sensitivity and accuracy have been increased significantly. A theoretical model for the error of determination using the MCCS has been suggested and proved experimentally using the Monte Carlo method, and the error model proposed in Ref. [1] revised.
