Low-lying states of23Ne up to about 3 MeV excitation energy have been investigated by studying the reactions22Ne(d, p)23Ne (E d =4–6 MeV) and23Na(n, p γ)23Ne(E n=8–9 MeV). From the (d, p) data,l-values and spectroscopic factors for the transferred neutron have been extracted by DWBA analyses. From the (n, p γ) data,γ-ray branchings and possible spin assignments have been derived. The results are used to discuss the applicability of the Nilsson model and the excited core model to the nucleus23Ne.  相似文献

The reaction 20Ne(α, γ)24Mg has been investigated at Eα(lab) = 0.55–3.20 MeV. Neon gas enriched to 99.95% in 20Ne was recirculated in differentially pumped gas target systems of the extended and quasipoint jet types. New resonances were found at Eα(lab) = 958, 1226, 1260, 1704 and 2277 keV, which correspond to known states in 24Mg. Excitation energies, γ-ray decay schemes, γ-ray angular distributions, resonance widths and strengths as well as Jπ and T-assignments are reported for all the resonances. Information on low-lying states in 24Mg is also obtained. The nuclear and astrophysical aspects of the results are discussed.  相似文献

The 18O(α, γ)22Ne capture reaction has been studied at Eα = 0.6?2.3 MeV. The known resonance at Eα = 2.20 MeV has been established and fourteen new resonances have been found in the energy range covered. The Eα = 1.16, 1.32, 1.45, 1.53, 1.87, 1.96 and 2.15 MeV resonances correspond to resonances observed previously in the 18O(α, n)21Ne reaction. The Eα = 0.77, 1.25 and 1.27 MeV resonances represent new compound states in 22Ne. Information on branching ratios, ωγ values and total widths is reported. Transition strength arguments and analyses of γ-ray angular distribution data together with results from previous work resulted in the most likely Jπ assignments for the resonances. The Eα = 1.66 and 1.78 MeV resonances are good candidates for the two Jπ = 8+ states predicted at Ex ≈ 11–12 MeV and are probably members of the Kπ = 0+ (ground state) and Kπ = 2+ rotational bands in 22Ne.The investigated energy range of Eα together with that of previous work corresponds to stellar temperatures of T = (0.3?4.3) × 109 K. The astrophysical reaction rate determined from these data is compared with predictions based in part on the nuclear optical model. The rate is also compared with that of the competing 18O(α, n)21Ne reaction.  相似文献

The16O(α, γ)20Ne direct capture cross section has been calculated in a microscopically founded cluster model which reproduces simultaneously both the correct binding energies and the deformations of the20Ne bound states. Theα+16O scattering states are derived from a microscopically derived local potential. The astrophysicalS-factor is found to increase linearly with energy in the energy rangeE cm≈0.4–2 MeV and might therefore be determinable experimentally.  相似文献

Gamma-decay modes and spin(-parity) assignments of levels in25Mg have been systematically investigated up to 10 MeV excitation energy by particle-γ-ray angularcorrelation measurements with the24Mg(d, pγ) reaction at 6.5 MeV bombarding energy and with the22Ne(α,) reaction at 11.8, 12.5, 14.4 and 15.5 MeV bombarding energy. A level scheme has been established which is comprehensive up to 8.3 MeV excitation energy forI≦9/2 and up to 10 MeV for 9/2O d 5/2 — 1s 1/2-O d 3/2 shell and the unifieds-d shell Hamiltonian. The agreement is good to excellent. The first intruder states are located near 6.8 MeV excitation energy. The collective properties of25Mg beyond the well established rotational bands are investigated using both the new experimental information and theB(E2)'s obtained from the shell model. The spectrum of25Mg is completely rotational for the first five to six MeV above the yrast line. Shell modelB (M 1)'s reflect the Nilsson model structure of25Mg in great detail. The prospectiveI π=9/2?, 13/2?, and 15/2? members of the established negative-parity,K=1/2 band are found in levels atE x=7801, 9410, and 8896 keV.  相似文献

Yield measurements have been performed on the reactions 37Cl(p, p0)37Cl, 37Cl(p, α0)34S (Ep = 1.17–1.70 MeV) and 37Cl(p, n0)37Ar, 37Cl(p.γ)38Ar (Ep = 0.64–2.92 MeV); detailed investigations are restricted to resonances below Ep = 1.79 MeV. Resonance energies, strengths and (some) widths are reported for 12, 26 and 247 resonances in the reactions (p, p0), (p, n0) and (p, γ), respectively.Simultaneous (p, α0) and (p, γ) yield measurements over selected Ep intervals in the Ep = 0.88–1.64 MeV range established the existence of 42 resonances decaying by both γ and α0 emission. Analysis of the γ-ray spectra of 100 37Cl(p, γ)38Ar resonances leads to precision excitation energies (ΔEx = 0.1–2 keV) of 57 bound states (Ex < 8 MeV) and branching ratios of the resonances and of 50 bound states.  相似文献

A search forγ-ray transitions within the broad groundstate of5Li has been carried out via the4He(p, γp *)4He reaction atE p (lab)=1.5?7.0 MeV. Differentially pumped gas targets of the extended and quasi-point types have been used. The results show that the set-up and detection techniques utilized are not sensitive enough to observe such intrastate transitions.  相似文献

Spin assignments have been made to the25Mg levels in theE x=5–6 MeV region fromγ-ray angular distributions measured in the22Ne(α, n y) reaction atE α=8.0 and 8.8 MeV and fromp-γ angular correlations measured in the24Mg(d, p γ) reaction atE d=6 MeV. Unique spin assignments ofJ=7/2, 5/2, 5/2, and 9/2 could be made to the levels atE x=5005, 5511, 5851, and 5967 keV, respectively. Ambigious assignments have been made to the levels atE x=5245, 5524, 5785, 6032 keV (J=11/2, 7/2), 5455 keVJ=13/2, 9/2), and 5738 keV (J=3/2, 5/2). The present data confirm previous assignments ofJ=1/2 to the levels atE x=5108 and 5466 keV, respectively. Lifetime estimates have been obtained, using the Doppler-shift attenuation method, for the levels atE x=5245 keV (τ=30–60 fs), 5785 keV (τ=50–100 fs), 5967 keV (τ=50–100 fs), and 5455 keV (τ>1ps). All other levels in theE x=5–6 MeV region haveτ<60 fs. A breakdown of theK-selection rule has been observed in theγ-decay of some high spin states, indicating a deviation from the strong coupling model.  相似文献

The 22Ne(α,n)25Mgreaction is thought to be one of the main neutron sources for the astrophysical s-process. Thus cross section data for this reaction have been obtained from near the threshold (E α≈570keV) up toE α=2100 keV using the 4 MV DYNAMITRON accelerator at Stuttgart, the windowless gastarget system RHINOCEROS and a 4π neutron detector. Two new resonances have been observed atE α=623 ± 6 and 838 ± 6 kev, which dominate the reaction rate at T9<0.3.Possible background reactions are discussed.  相似文献

Differential cross sections of the reactions24Mg(n,α)21Ne,25Mg(n,α)22Ne, and26Mg(n,α)23Ne have been measured at neutron energies of 13.19,13.93 and 14.33 MeV, at 13.93 and 14.33 MeV, and at 13.47 and 13.93 MeV, respectively. In forward direction, differential excitation functions of those reactions have been measured at energies between 12.67 and 16.05 MeV. The results are analysed in terms of direct-reaction and compound-nucleus theories.  相似文献

The24Mg(α, p γ) reaction has been studied atα-particle energies of 13, 15, and 15.2 MeV. Using method II of Litherland and Ferguson spin assignments or restrictions thereof could be made to the27Al levels atE x =5500 keV (I=11/2, 7/2), 6950 keV (I=11/2, 7/2), 7226 keV (I=9/2), 7286 keV (I=9/2–13/2), 7399 keV (I=11/2, 7/2) and 7443 keV (I=13/2, 9/2). Using the Doppler-shift attenuation method a lifetimeτ=20–50 fs was obtained for theE x =7399 keV level and a limitτ<20 fs for the levels atE x =7443, 7286, 7226, 6950, 6718, and 6287 keV, respectively. Further spin assignments in27Al were obtained by a study of the26Mg(p, γ) reaction at the Ep=2174 keV resonance. Fromγ-ray angular distributions the resonance spin was determined as I=9/2 (previous assignmentI=7/2) and the spin of theE x =5959 keV level was determined asI=7/2. Tentative spin assignments were made to the levels atE x =6537 keV (I=7/2) and 6718 keV (I=9/2). From the combined evidence of the24Mg(α, p) and26Mg(p, γ) reactions the spin of the 6287 keV level was found to beI=7/2. The results are compared with shell model calculations and the Nilsson model.  相似文献

Levels up to 9.3 MeV excitation in22Ne were studied with the19 F(α, pγ) 22Ne reaction atE α = 12 MeV. Level energies, branching ratios, mean lifetimes, spins and mixing ratios were obtained for a number of levels. Relevant results are compared with many-particle shell-model calculations.  相似文献

Elasticα-scattering angular distributions have been measured atE α=36.2 MeV, 39.6 MeV, 42.6 MeV, 49.5 MeV, 61.0 MeV for40Ca and atE α=36.2 MeV, 42.6 MeV, 49.5 MeV and 61.0 MeV for44Ca, respectively. At backward angles the data display an oscillatory structure forE α<50 MeV and more smoothly decreasing slopes atE α =61.0 MeV resembling the data obtained at higher energies. The40Ca data belowE α =50 MeV show the well known backward enhancement, which at 42.6 MeV and 49.5 MeV can be fitted by aP 14 2 and aP 16 2 respectively. Together with previous data,P L 2-structures have now been observed for allL-values betweenL=8 andL=16. The slope of the curveL(L+1) versus excitation energy is slightly smaller forL>12 than forL<12. Optical model analyses (within a Woods-Saxon-folding model) lead to large differences between the44Ca and40Ca parameters. Furthermore, in our parametrization, the40Ca real potential depth shows dramatic changes with energy. This feature seems outside the domain of the optical model and requires consideration of additional effects (e.g. antisymmetrization) not included in the standard optical model. Present microscopic calculations on the basis of the Resonating Group Method are discussed in connection with the characteristic features ofα-scattering from40Ca.  相似文献

Excitation functions have been measured at six angles for 24Mg(α, α)24Mg up to Eα 4.94 MeV. Multi-level R-matrix analysis was performed for nineteen resonances. More than ha of the determined spin-parities and other resonance parameters are new values. The 24Mg(α, γ)28Si studies of Maas et al. were extended up to Eα = 5.13 MeV. Resonance strengths and branchin ratios were determined. The γ-ray angular distribution measurement at Eα = 3.79 MeV gives Jπ = 2+ value for the resonance. A comparison of the results obtained in different reaction channel is given and the possibility of clusterisation in some excited states of 28Si is discussed.  相似文献

Experimental data of the elastic scattering ofα-particles on10B forE α = 30?50.6 MeV are presented. They are analysed together with the data of a previous measurement forE α = 5?30 MeV in the frame of the optical model including spin-orbit coupling. The interaction radii of theα-10B-systems are determined with the Inopin-Ericson model forE α = 5?50 MeV. The mean free path ofα-particles in10B is calculated.  相似文献

The direct capture process in the reactions 21Ne(p, γ)22Na and 22Ne(p, γ)23Na has been investigated at Ep = 0.3–1.6 MeV using neon gas enriched to 91 % in 21Ne and to 99 % in 22Ne, respectively. The gas was recirculated in a differentially pumped gas target system of the extended-static and quasi-point supersonic jet type. For 22Ne(p, γ)23Na, the direct capture process has been observed to several final states in 23Na up to Ex = 8.83 MeV excitation energy. The deduced spectroscopic factors C2S are in fair agreement with the corresponding values from stripping reactions. The capture transition into the 23Na ground state exhibits broad structures, which resemble Ericson fluctuations. The data remove the previously reported discrepancies in C2S for the 23Na ground state. The excitation functions for the 21Ne(p, γ)22Na reaction are dominated by broad and intense resonances, which hampered the measurement of the direct capture process. The nuclear and astrophysical aspects of the results are discussed.  相似文献

The two short-lived isomeric states in112In have been reinvestigated by means of the112Cd(d, 2n) and109Ag (α, n) reactions. Measurements of delayed X- andγ-ray, lifetime and TDPAD spectra have been performed. A 6.32(3) keVγ-ray has been identified in the isomeric decay and anM1 multipolarity has been assigned to it on the basis of the measured internal conversion coefficients:α L =196(39) andα tot=231(35). TheE1+M2(δ =+0.24(4)) andE2 multipolarities have been determined for the 263 and 188 keV transitions deexciting the 8?(T 1/2=2.82(2) μs) and 7+ (T 1/2=0.93(2) μs) isomeric states, respectively. A revised isomeric decay scheme is presented.  相似文献

The charged particle (c) decay from excited states up to the giant quadrupole resonance (GQR) in 20Ne has been studied in a kinematically complete 20Ne(α, α′ c) coincident experiment at Eα = 155 MeV. Angular correlation functions and branching ratios are extracted for the α0, α1 and p0 decay channels. The (α, αα0) angular correlation functions are analysed in PWBA in terms of coherent interference with the quasifree scattering process leading to the same final states. Good fits to the data are achieved over a large range of excitation energies. Branching ratios have been extracted and compared to results of Hauser-Feshbach calculations. Above Ex = 12.5 MeV excitation energy a discrepancy was found between the experimentally observed α0 branching ratios and the HF predictions. These results yield evidence for a direct α0 decay mechanism of the split isoscalar giant quadrupole resonance in 20Ne. Some results are presented also for a 22Ne(α, α′ c) coincidence experiment. Qualitative comparison has been made between the general decay behaviour of the two Ne isotopes.  相似文献

Excitation functions for16O(α,n) and20Ne(α,n) have been measured from threshold to 26 and 31 MeV compound excitation energy, respectively. The dominating compound states are interpreted as boson excitation modes of nuclei with α-particle structure.  相似文献
