Scattering loss in high-index-contrast optical waveguides has been modeled by a rigorous 3D numerical algorithm based on volume current method. The electromagnetic field generated by the wire current distribution simulating sidewalls roughness has been calculated by 3D finite element method. The developed modeling technique does not introduce any approximation in radiated power estimation. Numerical results obtained by our model have been compared with some experimental results reported in literature for four typical sub-micrometer high-index-contrast waveguides realized by different technologies and a very good agreement (relative error less than 3%) has been demonstrated. Closed-form expressions for scattering loss in low-index-contrast waveguides have been also derived and discussed. Developed modeling technique has been compared with other three-dimensional algorithms for scattering loss estimation and its advantages in terms of accuracy, computation time and generality have been pointed out. Scattering loss dependence on the parameters of the roughness distribution has been finally discussed.  相似文献

We show that it is possible to define shape-independent three-dimensional short-range quantum interactions in two-parameter form for non-spherical angular momentum channels through double rescaling of potential strength. Unlike the special case of l=0, where the zero-range limit of the system is renormalizable, the effective ranges diverge for l≠0 channels, and the system becomes trivial at zero-size limit. It is also shown that the two-parameter representation with finite interaction range is useful in analyzing phase shifts and describing resonances with accuracy in non-spherical scatterings.  相似文献

In this paper, a computational study using the moving element method (MEM) is carried out to investigate the dynamic response of a high-speed rail (HSR) traveling at non-uniform speeds. A new and exact formulation for calculating the generalized mass, damping and stiffness matrices of the moving element is proposed. Two wheel–rail contact models are examined. One is linear and the other nonlinear. A parametric study is carried out to understand the effects of various factors on the dynamic amplification factor (DAF) in contact force between the wheel and rail such as the amplitude of acceleration/deceleration of the train, the severity of railhead roughness and the wheel load. Resonance in the vibration response can possibly occur at various stages of the journey of the HSR when the speed of the train matches the resonance speed. As to be expected, the DAF in contact force peaks when resonance occurs. The effects of the severity of railhead roughness and the wheel load on the occurrence of the jumping wheel phenomenon, which occurs when there is a momentary loss of contact between the wheel and track, are investigated.  相似文献

A fully packaged high-speed Ti:LiNbO3, Mach-Zehnder intensity modulator at a 1.5μm wavelength has been designed and fabricated. The design has been considered with respect to optical insertion loss, switching voltage, and modulation bandwidth. Re fiber-pigtailed device has a 6.7 dB fiber-to-fiber loss and an optical modulation bandwidth of 8 GHz. The voltage required to switch the device from the on to off state is measured to be 7.3 V, with an on-off extinction ratio of 21 dB.  相似文献

全息三维显示是真三维显示技术, 其原理是利用光学干涉记录和衍射再现将物体或场景的三维信息全部重建出来, 所以观看全息三维图像与观看真实物体或场景的效果一样. 近期全息研究领域有一些突破性的成果被报道, 将推动全息显示的应用不断走向成熟. 本文将重点介绍基于光学材料和空间光调制器为全息图承载载体的动态全息三维显示最新发展状况. 虽然动态全息三维显示研究仍然存在挑战, 但最近研究中已经利用光学材料实现了实时动态全息三维视频显示, 这为未来实现大尺寸、高分辨率、彩色全息真三维视频显示提供了可能.  相似文献

In this paper,ground-signal-ground type through-silicon vias(TSVs) exploiting air gaps as insulation layers are designed,analyzed and simulated for applications in millimeter wave.The compact wideband equivalent-circuit model and passive elements(RLGC) parameters based on the physical parameters are presented with the frequency up to 100 GHz.The parasitic capacitance of TSVs can be approximated as the dielectric capacitance of air gaps when the thickness of air gaps is greater than 0.75 μm.Therefore,the applied voltage of TSVs only needs to achieve the flatband voltage,and there is no need to indicate the threshold voltage.This is due to the small permittivity of air gaps.The proposed model shows good agreement with the simulation results of ADS and Ansoft's HFSS over a wide frequency range.  相似文献

 无论在民用钢铁冶炼、焊接技术或者军用近代动力学发射系统中,对于目标火焰的辐射温度测量一直有着重要意义,其对钢铁冶炼成分的判定、焊接工艺的提高和动力系统轨道烧灼的研究都有着重要的影响。该情况下火焰不仅温度极高,而且在某些场合其产生是一个瞬态过程。因此,传统的接触式测温方法不再适用。基于经典的普朗克黑体辐射定律在测量时受到光谱发射效率的影响也难以准确得到最后结果。以经典的普朗克黑体辐射定律作为理论基础,结合多波长光谱辐射方法,研制了新型的多光谱辐射瞬态高温测温计。该高温计最快响应时间可达到2 ns。通过采用高分辨率衍射光栅和光纤连接的方式,保证多光谱提取的准确性。同时将经典的普朗克黑体辐射定律结合多波长提出新型辐射温度算法,不仅解决对该目标辐射温度的精准计算,更可以同时求得目标在该温度下的实时光谱发射效率。通过对高速发射目标和可调节亮度的溴钨灯测量的实验表明,该方法满足测量动力发射目标表面辐射温度分布的同时,也保证了较高的精度,满足了对于发射瞬间物体表面瞬态温度测试的要求。  相似文献

We measure the dynamic exponent of the three-dimensional Ising model using a damage spreading Monte Carlo approach as described by MacIsaac and Jan. We simulate systems fromL=5 toL=60 at the critical temperature,T c =4.5115. We report a dynamic exponent,z=2.35±0.05, a value much larger than the consensus value of 2.02, whereas if we assume logarithmic corrections, we find thatz=2.05±0.05.  相似文献

The rapid growth of a through-the-thickness crack in a nominally elastic plate under Mode I conditions is considered, with emphasis on the three-dimensional aspects of the elastodynamic crack growth process. For points near the crack edge, the assumptions on stress state consistent with plane stress analysis are not valid, and the possibility of an inertial effect associated with rapid lateral contraction must be considered. The steady crack growth process is analyzed here by means of the finite element method, and the degree to which the local fields are described by plane stress analysis is established. In addition, synthetic shadow spot patterns are generated from the numerical three-dimensional solutions. The inferred values of stress intensity factor are compared with the values of the corresponding plane stress dynamic stress intensity factor.  相似文献

The through silicon via (TSV) technology has proven to be the critical enabler to realize a three-dimensional (3D) gigscale system with higher performance but shorter interconnect length. However, the received digital signal after trans- mission through a TSV channel, composed of redistribution layers (RDLs), TSVs, and bumps, is degraded at a high data-rate due to the non-idealities of the channel. We propose the Chebyshev multisection transformers to reduce the signal reflec- tion of TSV channel when operating frequency goes up to 20 GHz, by which signal reflection coefficient ($11) and signal transmission coefficient ($21) are improved remarkably by 150% and 73.3%, respectively. Both the time delay and power dissipation are also reduced by 4% and 13.3%, respectively. The resistance-inductance-conductance-capacitance (RLGC) elements of the TSV channel are iterated from scattering (S)-parameters, and the proposed method of weakening the signal reflection is verified using high frequency simulator structure (HFSS) simulation software by Ansoft.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interaction between two magnetic impurities of the tilted Dirac and Weyl semimetals in three dimensions. In accordance with the untilted scenario, the RKKY interaction contains three terms, namely the Heisenberg term, the Ising term, and the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya term. The main influence of tilt on the RKKY Hamiltonian is a modulation to the oscillation frequencies of range functions. Our results enrich the knowledge of the magnetic properties of materials with tilted Dirac cones and may see an important application in spintronics.  相似文献

This paper presents a solution to the problem of dynamic three-dimensional displacement distributions on a curved surface under impact-loading by utilizing photomechanics and the finite-element method. An impulsive force is applied by using a new type of electromagnetic forcing mechanism, which gives good repeatability. The relation between instataneous loading and time that is set for the force-voundary condition in the finite-element calculation of the displacement components is recorded experimentally. It is found that the experimental results are in good agreement with those of the finite-element method.  相似文献

A method, which we named surface plasmon interferometric microscopy, for real-time displaying of the dynamic evolution of the refractive index (RI) of a sample in three-dimensions is demonstrated experimentally. The Fourier fringe analysis technique is employed to get the phase variations of the samples by demodulating the interference patterns captured by a CCD camera, and the 3D RI distribution can be obtained through numerical interpolation from the relation between the phase and the RI of the samples. Our method may provide an interesting way to monitor fast dynamics of physical, biological, and chemical processes in real time.  相似文献

In the past, three-dimensional (3-d) track images in solid state detectors were difficult to obtain. With the introduction of the confocal scanning laser microscope it is now possible to record 3-d track images in a non-destructive way. These 3-d track images can latter be used to measure typical track parameters. Preparing the detectors and recording the 3-d images however is only the first step. The second step in this process is enhancing the image quality by means of deconvolution techniques to obtain the maximum possible resolution. The third step is extracting the typical track parameters. This can be done on-screen by an experienced operator. For large sets of data however, this manual technique is not desirable. This paper will present some techniques to analyse 3-d track data in an automated way by means of image analysis routines. Advanced thresholding techniques guarantee stable results in different recording situations. By using pre-knowledge about the track shape, reliable object identification is obtained. In case of ambiguity, manual intervention is possible.  相似文献
