Nanostructured Fe49Co49V2 powders were produced by high energy milling at different milling times and then examined by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The saturation magnetization and coercivity of samples were measured at room temperature by a vibration sample magnetometer (VSM). Structural studies show that as the milling time increases from 0 to 125 h, the average grain size reduces from 130 to about 8-10 nm, while the microstrain increases up to 1.7%. The lattice parameter decreases from 0 to 36 h and then increases up to 125 h. According to the XRD patterns, the formation of intermetallic compound of (Fe, Co)V after about 16 h affects the magnetic properties. The coercivity totally increases up to 61 Oe due to the introduction of microstrain during the milling process. Magnetic measurements reveal that the saturation magnetization has some fluctuations during the milling treatment and finally at 125 h reaches about 180 emu/g  相似文献

This study aims to evaluate magnetic and micro-structural properties of amorphous/nanocrystalline mechanically alloyed Ni58Fe12Zr20B10 powders with ball-milling time up to 190 h. Structural, micro-structural and thermal evaluations of the milled powders were carried out by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscope (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) methods. Magnetic properties were also measured by a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) instrument. Results showed that the amorphous phase reached maximum value of 95% and the crystallite size was about 3 nm at the end of the milling. Magnetization saturation (Ms) decreased slightly and coercivity (Hc) reached to the highest value at 72 h of the milling time. At the 190 h of milling, the coercivity and saturation magnetization reached 18 Oe and 20 emu/g, respectively. While, after an appropriate amount of heat treatment, these two variables became approximately 2 Oe and 32 emu/g.  相似文献

This paper investigates structural, microstructural and magnetic properties of amorphous/nanocrystalline Ni58Fe12Zr10Hf10B10 powders prepared by high energy milling. Ball milling of Ni, Fe, Zr, Hf and B leads to alloying of the element powders at 120 h. The results show that at 190 h the amorphous content is at the highest level and the grain size is about 2 nm. The magnetic measurements reveal that the coercivity and the saturation magnetization reach about 20 Oe and 30 emu/g at 190 h and become approximately 5 Oe and 40 emu/g after a suitable heat treatment, respectively.  相似文献

Sintering temperature and particle size dependent structural and magnetic properties of lithium ferrite (Li0.5Fe2.5O4) were synthesized and sintered at four different temperatures ranging from 875 to 1475 K in the step of 200 K. The sample sintered at 875 K was also treated for four different sintering times ranging from 4 to 16 h. Samples sintered at 1475 K have the cubic spinel structure with a small amount of α-Fe2O3 (hematite) and γ-Fe2O3 (maghemite). The samples sintered at≤1275 K do not show hematite and maghemite phases and the crystals form the single phase spinel structure with the cation ordering on octahedral sites. Particle size of lithium ferrite is in the range of 13-45 nm, and is depend on the sintering temperature and sintering time. The saturation magnetization increased from 45 to 76 emu/g and coercivity decreases from 151 to 139 Oe with an increase in particle size. Magnetization temperature curve recorded in ZFC and FC modes in an external magnetic field of 100 Oe. Typical blocking effects are observed below about 244 K. The dielectric constant increases with an increase in sintering temperature and particle size.  相似文献

Microwave-assisted synthesis of SrFe12O19 hexaferrites   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Ultra-fine and homogeneous SrFe12O19 hexaferrites were synthesized by a microwave-assisted calcination route. The calcined precursors were prepared by a sol-gel auto-combustion method using Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, Sr(NO3)2 and citric acid as starting materials. The structures, powder morphology and magnetic properties of the products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and vibrating sample magnetometer. The results showed that microwaves are helpful to reduce the calcination temperature and shorten the calcination time. The ferrites with saturation magnetization, remanence and intrinsic coercivity of 54.80 emu/g, 29.52 emu/g and 5261 Oe, respectively, were obtained in samples calcined at 800 °C for 80 min.  相似文献

A Sr0.8La0.2Fe11.8Co0.2O19 ferrite film has been prepared on a (0 0 1) sapphire substrate by chemical solution deposition. Structural characteristics indicate that the film is c-axis oriented and single-phase with space group P63/mmc. The grains are regular columnar with diameter between 50 and 100 nm as determined by atomic force microscopy. The sample possesses high saturation magnetization (130 emu/cm3), high coercivity (6.9 kOe), and large squareness ratio (0.9) at room temperature, which makes it a promising recording material.  相似文献

(Mg0.476Mn0.448Zn0.007)(Fe1.997Ti0.002)O4 nanocrystalline powder prepared by high energy ball-milling process were consolidated by microwave and conventional sintering processes. Phases, microstructure and magnetic properties of the ferrites prepared by different processes were investigated. The (Mg0.476Mn0.448Zn0.007)(Fe1.997Ti0.002)O4 nanocrystalline powder could be prepared by high energy ball-milling process of raw Fe3O4, MnO2, ZnO, TiO2 and MgO powders. Prefired and microwave sintered ferrites could achieve the maximum density (4.86 g/cm−3), the average grain size (15 μm) was larger than that (10 μm) prepared by prefired and conventionally sintered ferrites with pure ferrite phase, and the saturation magnetization (66.77 emu/g) was lower than that of prefired and conventionally sintered ferrites (88.25 emu/g), the remanent magnetization (0.7367 emu/g) was higher than that of prefired and conventionally sintered ferrites (0.0731 emu/g). Although the microwave sintering process could increase the density of ferrites, the saturation magnetization of ferrites was decreased and the remanent magnetization of ferrites was also increased.  相似文献

The sol was obtained by sol-gel method. Then, the sol was dripped onto the absorbent cotton template. The gel was obtained after the evaporation of water. Strontium ferrite microtubules were prepared after carrying out calcination process at different temperatures. The phase, morphology and particle diameter and the magnetic properties of samples were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), respectively. The effects of Fe3+/Sr2+ mole ratio and calcination temperature on the crystal structure, morphology and magnetic properties of ferrite microtubules were studied. The external diameters of obtained SrFe12O19 microtubules were found to range between 8 and 13 μm; the wall thicknesses ranged between 1 and 2 μm. When the Fe3+/Sr2+ mole ratio and the calcination temperature were 11.5 and 850 °C, respectively, the coercivity, saturation magnetization and remanent magnetization for the samples were 7115.1 Oe, 70.1 and 42.4 emu/g, respectively. The mechanism of the formation and variation in magnetic properties of the microtubules were explained.  相似文献

The Fe48Co48V4 alloy was synthesized in a planetary high-energy ball-mill under an argon atmosphere. The structure, microstructure and magnetic properties of the mechanically alloyed powders were investigated by X-ray diffraction, Scanning Electron Microscopy and a Vibration Sample Magnetometer, respectively. During the mechanical alloying of Fe48Co48V4, inter-metallic Co3V appears. The lattice parameter decreases up to 55 h of milling time with an oscillation and then increases from 55 to 125 h of milling time. The coercivity increases during the milling treatment from 49 to 58 Oe. The saturation magnetization has some fluctuations during the milling treatment and finally reaches ∼190 emu/g at 125 h.  相似文献

One of the most powerful rare earth oxides, ceria CeO2 was incorporated in Ni matrix and the effect of cobalt addition in the matrix, on the structure and properties has been studied. The amount of cobalt incorporated in the Ni matrix was in the range of 25-85 wt.%. The presence of cobalt resulted in a marginal variation in CeO2 content from 5 to 8 wt.%. The microhardness studies revealed that a maximum value of 540 Hk50gf was obtained in the presence of 25 wt.% cobalt in Ni-CeO2 matrix compared to 50 and 85 wt.% addition. The presence of 25 wt.% cobalt in Ni-CeO2 matrix also improved its wear resistance as seen from Tribology studies. The wear products were identified using Raman Spectroscopy. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies showed that an increase in cobalt content from 25 to 85 wt.% resulted in a change in crystal structure from fcc to hcp. A change in surface morphology with variation in cobalt content was seen from scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It was perceived from the thermal stability studies that the presence of 85 wt.% cobalt in Ni-CeO2 matrix imparted better stability in microhardness at temperatures up to 800 °C. Although, the incorporation of cobalt in Ni-CeO2 matrix enhanced the microhardness, wear resistance and thermal stability it did not improve the corrosion resistance as noticed from immersion corrosion studies.  相似文献

We focused on obtaining MFe2O4 nanoparticles using ricin oil solution as surfactant and on their structural characterization and magnetic properties. The annealed samples at 500 °C in air for 6 h were analyzed for the crystal phase identification by powder X-ray diffraction using CuKα radiation. The particle size, the chemical composition and the morphology of the calcinated powders were characterized by scanning electron microscopy. All sintered samples contain only one phase, which has a cubic structure with crystallite sizes of 12–21 nm. From the infrared spectra of all samples were observed two strong bands around 600 and 400 cm−1, which correspond to the intrinsic lattice vibrations of octahedral and tetrahedral sites of the spinel structure, respectively, and characteristic vibration for capping agent. The magnetic properties of fine powders were investigated at room temperature by using a vibrating sample magnetometer. The room temperature MH hysteresis loops show ferromagnetic behavior of the calcined samples, with specific saturation magnetization (Ms) values ranging between 11 and 53 emu/g.  相似文献

Nanostructured Fe50Co50 powders were prepared by mechanical alloying of Fe and Co elements in a vario-planetary high-energy ball mill. The structural properties, morphology changes and local iron environment variations were investigated as a function of milling time (in the 0-200 h range) by means of X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray analysis and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy. The complete formation of bcc Fe50Co50 solid solution is observed after 100 h milling. As the milling time increases from 0 to 200 h, the lattice parameter decreases from 0.28655 nm for pure Fe to 0.28523 nm, the grain size decreases from 150 to 14 nm, while the meal level of strain increases from 0.0069% to 1.36%. The powder particle morphology at different stages of formation was observed by SEM. The parameters derived from the Mössbauer spectra confirm the beginning of the formation of Fe50Co50 phase at 43 h of milling. After 200 h of milling the average hyperfine magnetic field of 35 T suggests that a disordered bcc Fe-Co solid solution is formed.  相似文献

Nanocomposite of hard (BaFe12O19)/soft ferrite (Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4) have been prepared by the sol–gel process. The nanocomposite ferrite are formed when the calcining temperature is above 800 °C. It is found that the magnetic properties strongly depend on the presintering treatment and calcining temperature. The “bee waist” type hysteresis loops for samples disappear when the presintering temperature is 400 °C and the calcination temperature reaches 1100 °C owing to the exchange-coupling interaction. The remanence of BaFe12O19/Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite with the mass ratio of 5:1 is higher than a single phase ferrite. The specific saturation magnetization, remanence magnetization and coercivity are 63 emu/g, 36 emu/g and 2750 G, respectively. The exchange-coupling interaction in the BaFe12O19/Ni0.8Zn0.2Fe2O4 nanocomposite ferrite is discussed.  相似文献

In order to increase the electromagnetic parameters and improve the microwave absorbing properties in the range of 1–4 GHz, gas atomized Fe-50 wt%Ni alloys with spherical form were processed in a planetary mill. The morphology, phase composition and saturation magnetization of the FeNi alloy particles were investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometer. The complex permittivity, complex permeability and reflection loss of the microwave absorbing material made from Ethylene–Propylene–Diene Monomer rubber, and the Fe-50 wt%Ni alloys were also studied using vector network analyzer and transmission line theory. The results show that the shape of the atomized Fe-50 wt%Ni powders can be modified by mechanical milling. The flaky Fe-50 wt% Ni particles were prepared, and the aspect ratio increases with increasing the milling time from 10 to 30 h. Mechanical milling does not change the phase compositions of the FeNi alloys but decreases the peak intensity and broadens the peak width. The saturation magnetization decreases and the coercivity increases as the milling time increases. The electromagnetic parameters and microwave absorbing properties are enhanced with the increase of the aspect ratio. The rubber absorbers filled with flaky Fe-50 wt%Ni powders milled for 30 h exhibit the low reflection loss in the 1–4 GHz frequency range.  相似文献

The dehydrogenation of CH4 on the Co(1 1 1) surface is studied using density functional theory calculation (DFT). It is found that CH4 is favored to dissociate to CH3 and then transforms to CH2 and CH by sequential dehydrogenation, and CH4 activation into CH3 and H is the rate-determining step on the Co(1 1 1) surface. CH2 is quite unstable on Co(1 1 1) surface. CH dehydrogenation into C and H is difficult. CH3 and H prefer to adsorb on 3-fold hollow hcp and fcc sites, and CH2, CH and C prefer to adsorb on hcp sites.  相似文献

The Fe63B23Nd7Y3Nb3Cr1 nanocomposite magnets in the form of sheets have been prepared by copper mold casting technique. The phase evolution, crystal structure, microstructural and magnetic properties have been investigated in the as-cast and annealed states. The as-cast sheets show magnetically soft behaviors which become magnetically hard by thermal annealing. The optimal annealed microstructure was composed of nanosize soft magnetic α-Fe (19-29 nm) and hard magnetic Nd2Fe14B (45-55 nm) grains. The best hard magnetic properties such as intrinsic coercivity, jHc of 1119 kA/m, remanence, Br of 0.44 T, magnetic induction to saturation magnetization ratio, Mr/Ms=0.61 and maximum energy product, (BH)max of 55 kJ/m3 was obtained after annealing at 680 °C for 15 min. The annealing treatment above 680 °C results in non-ideal phase grains growth, which degrade the magnetic properties.  相似文献

Rod-like and platelet-like nanoparticles of simple-crystalline barium hexaferrite (BaFe12O19) have been synthesized by the molten salt method. Both particle size and morphology change with the reaction temperature and time. The easy magnetization direction (0 0 l) of the BaFe12O19 nanoparticles has been observed directly by performing X-ray diffraction on powders aligned at 0.5 T magnetic field. The magnetic properties of the BaFe12O19 magnet were investigated with various sintering temperatures. The maximum values of saturation magnetization (σs=65.8 emu/g), remanent magnetization (σr=56 emu/g) and coercivity field (Hic=5251 Oe) of the aligned samples occurred at the sintering temperatures of 1100 °C. These results indicate that BaFe12O19 nanoparticles synthesized by the molten salt method should enable detailed investigation of the size-dependent evolution of magnetism, microwave absorption, and realization of a nanodevice of magnetic media.  相似文献

Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 (NZFO) spinel-type nanoparticles were directly fabricated by the chemical co-precipitation process using metal nitrate and acetate as precursors since nitrogen and carbon would be taken away in the forms of oxynitride and oxycarbide, respectively, after the precursors were annealed and then investigated in detail by employing X-ray diffraction (XRD), magnetic measurement and Raman spectroscopy. XRD analysis indicates that the as-prepared nanocrystals are all of a pure cubic spinel structure with their sizes ranging from 20.8 to 53.3 nm, as well as peaks of some samples shifting to lower angles due to lattice expansion. Calculations from the derived XRD data indicate that the activation energy is 30.83 kJ/mol. The magnetic measurements show that these samples are superparamagnetic. The saturation magnetization increases with annealing temperature, which may be explained by super-exchange interactions of Fe ions occurring at A- and B-sites. The variation of coercivity with particle size is interpreted on the basis of domain structure and crystal anisotropy. Furthermore, these nanoparticles exhibit a redshift phenomenon at lower temperatures seen in the Raman spectra, which could be related to ionic substitution.  相似文献

The high-temperature oxidation resistance and magnetic properties of Si-doped Sm2Co17-type magnets at 500 °C were systematically investigated. The Sm(Co0.76, Fe0.1, Cu0.1, Zr0.04)7Six (x=0–0.6) magnets were prepared by the conventional powder metallurgical technique. It is found that the addition of silicon in the Sm2Co17-type magnet can remarkably improve its oxidation resistance. Moreover, a small amount of silicon addition can also increase its high-temperature intrinsic coercivity. A maximum intrinsic coercivity of 6.7 kOe at 500 °C was obtained for the Sm2Co17-type magnet with Si content x=0.4, whose high-temperature maximum energy product loss was about 2.5 times smaller than pure Sm2Co17-type magnet after oxidation at 500 °C for 100 h, indicating the enhanced oxidation resistance. Its corresponding Curie temperature and saturation magnetization are about 723.9 °C and 7.4 kG, respectively.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Fe75Si25 powders were prepared by mechanical alloying in a planetary ball mill. The evolution of the microstructure and magnetic properties during the milling process were studied by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscope and vibrating sample magnetometer measurements. The evolution of non-equilibrium solid solution Fe (Si) during milling was accompanied by refinement of crystallite size down to 10 nm and the introduction of high density of dislocations of the order of 1017 m−2. During the milling process, Fe sites get substituted by Si. This structural change and the resulting disorder are reflected in the lattice parameters and average magnetic moment of the powders milled for various time periods. A progressive increase of coercivity was also observed with increasing milling time. The increase of coercivity could be attributed to the introduction of dislocations and reduction of powder particle size as a function of milling time.  相似文献
