We establish necessary and sufficient conditions for a nonlocal two-point boundary-value problem in an infinite layer for the equation $$\frac{{\partial ^2 u(x,t)}}{{\partial t^2 }} + P\left( {\frac{\partial }{{\partial x}}} \right)\frac{{\partial u(x + h_1 ,t)}}{{\partial t}} + Q\left( {\frac{\partial }{{\partial x}}} \right)u(x + h_2 ,t) = 0,$$ whereP(s) andQ(s) are polynomials ins∈? m with constant coefficients, to have infinite type and be degenerate.  相似文献

We study the asymptotic behavior as t → ∞ of the solution of the initial-boundary value problem for the nonlinear integro-differential equation
$$\frac{{\partial U}}{{\partial t}} = \frac{\partial }{{\partial x}}\left[ {a\left( {\mathop \smallint \limits_0^t \left( {\frac{{\partial U}}{{\partial x}}} \right)^2 d\tau } \right)\frac{{\partial U}}{{\partial x}}} \right],$$
where a(S) = (1 + S) p , 0 < p ≤ 1. We consider problems with homogeneous boundary conditions as well as with a nonhomogeneous boundary condition on part of the boundary. The orders of convergence are established.

We consider an initial-boundary value problem for the equation
$\frac{\partial }{{\partial t}}( - \Delta ^2 u + \Delta u + \Delta _p u) + \Delta u - \left\| {\nabla u} \right\|_2^{2q} \Delta u = 0$
and prove a local existence theorem. By using the energy inequality method, we derive necessary and sufficient conditions for the blow-up of a solution in finite time.

The Cauchy problem for a degenerate parabolic equation with a source and inhomogeneous density of the form
$\rho (x)\frac{{\partial u}}{{\partial t}} = div(u^{m - 1} \left| {Du} \right|^{\lambda - 1} Du) + \rho (x)u^p $
is studied. Time global existence and nonexistence conditions are found for a solution to the Cauchy problem. Exact estimates of the solution are obtained in the case of global solvability.

In the space L 2(?2), we consider the operator
$H = \left( {\frac{1}{i}\frac{\partial }{{\partial x_1 }} - x_2 } \right)^2 + \left( {\frac{1}{i}\frac{\partial }{{\partial x_2 }} + x_1 } \right)^2 + V,V = V(x) \in L_2 (\mathbb{R}^2 ).$
. We study the spectrum of H and, for VC 0 2 (?2), prove the trace formula
$\sum\limits_{k = 0}^\infty {\left( {\sum\limits_{i = - k}^\infty {(4k + 2 - \mu _k^{(i)} ) + c_0 } } \right)} = \frac{1}{{8\pi }}\int\limits_{\mathbb{R}^2 } {V^2 (x)dx,} $
where c 0 = π ?1 \(\smallint _{\mathbb{R}^2 } \) V(x) dx and the µ k (i) are the eigenvalues of H.

The following quasilinear parabolic equation with a source term and an inhomogeneous density is considered:
$\rho (x)\frac{{\partial u}}{{\partial t}} = div(u^{m - 1} \left| {Du} \right|^{\lambda - 1} Du) + u^p $
. The conditions on the parameters of the problem are found under which the solution to the Cauchy problem blows up in a finite time. A sharp universal (i.e., independent of the initial function) estimate of the solution near the blowup time is obtained.

Let \(n\ge 2\) and \(g_{\lambda }^{*}\) be the well-known high-dimensional Littlewood–Paley function which was defined and studied by E. M. Stein,
$$\begin{aligned} g_{\lambda }^{*}(f)(x) =\bigg (\iint _{\mathbb {R}^{n+1}_{+}} \Big (\frac{t}{t+|x-y|}\Big )^{n\lambda } |\nabla P_tf(y,t)|^2 \frac{\mathrm{d}y \mathrm{d}t}{t^{n-1}}\bigg )^{1/2}, \ \quad \lambda > 1, \end{aligned}$$
where \(P_tf(y,t)=p_t*f(y)\), \(p_t(y)=t^{-n}p(y/t)\), and \(p(x) = (1+|x|^2)^{-(n+1)/2}\), \(\nabla =(\frac{\partial }{\partial y_1},\ldots ,\frac{\partial }{\partial y_n},\frac{\partial }{\partial t})\). In this paper, we give a characterization of two-weight norm inequality for \(g_{\lambda }^{*}\)-function. We show that \(\big \Vert g_{\lambda }^{*}(f \sigma ) \big \Vert _{L^2(w)} \lesssim \big \Vert f \big \Vert _{L^2(\sigma )}\) if and only if the two-weight Muckenhoupt \(A_2\) condition holds, and a testing condition holds:
$$\begin{aligned} \sup _{Q : \text {cubes}~\mathrm{in} \ {\mathbb {R}^n}} \frac{1}{\sigma (Q)} \int _{{\mathbb {R}^n}} \iint _{\widehat{Q}} \Big (\frac{t}{t+|x-y|}\Big )^{n\lambda }|\nabla P_t(\mathbf {1}_Q \sigma )(y,t)|^2 \frac{w \mathrm{d}x \mathrm{d}t}{t^{n-1}} \mathrm{d}y < \infty , \end{aligned}$$
where \(\widehat{Q}\) is the Carleson box over Q and \((w, \sigma )\) is a pair of weights. We actually prove this characterization for \(g_{\lambda }^{*}\)-function associated with more general fractional Poisson kernel \(p^\alpha (x) = (1+|x|^2)^{-{(n+\alpha )}/{2}}\). Moreover, the corresponding results for intrinsic \(g_{\lambda }^*\)-function are also presented.

The authors study the following Dirichlet problem of a system involving fractional (p, q)-Laplacian operators:
$$\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {\left( { - \Delta } \right)_p^su = \lambda a\left( x \right){{\left| u \right|}^{p - 2}}u + \lambda b\left( x \right){{\left| u \right|}^{\alpha - 2}}{{\left| v \right|}^\beta }u + \frac{{\mu \left( x \right)}}{{\alpha \delta }}{{\left| u \right|}^{\gamma - 2}}{{\left| v \right|}^\delta }uin\Omega ,} \\ {\left( { - \Delta } \right)_q^sv = \lambda c\left( x \right){{\left| v \right|}^{q - 2}}v + \lambda b\left( x \right){{\left| u \right|}^\alpha }{{\left| v \right|}^{\beta - 2}}v + \frac{{\mu \left( x \right)}}{{\beta \gamma }}{{\left| u \right|}^\gamma }{{\left| v \right|}^{\delta - 2}}vin\Omega ,} \\ {u = v = 0on{\mathbb{R}^N}\backslash \Omega ,} \end{array}} \right.$$
where λ > 0 is a real parameter, Ω is a bounded domain in R N , with boundary ?Ω Lipschitz continuous, s ∈ (0, 1), 1 < pq < ∞, sq < N, while (?Δ) p s u is the fractional p-Laplacian operator of u and, similarly, (?Δ) q s v is the fractional q-Laplacian operator of v. Since possibly pq, the classical definitions of the Nehari manifold for systems and of the Fibering mapping are not suitable. In this paper, the authors modify these definitions to solve the Dirichlet problem above. Then, by virtue of the properties of the first eigenvalue λ1 for a related system, they prove that there exists a positive solution for the problem when λ < λ1 by the modified definitions. Moreover, the authors obtain the bifurcation property when λ → λ1-. Finally, thanks to the Picone identity, a nonexistence result is also obtained when λ ≥ λ1.

In this article, we study the existence of infinitelymany solutions for the boundary–value problem
$$ - {\Delta _\gamma }u + a\left( x \right)u = f\left( {x,u} \right)in\Omega ,u = 0on\partial \Omega $$
, where Ω is a bounded domain with smooth boundary in ? N (N ≥ 2) and Δγ is a subelliptic operator of the form
$${\Delta _\gamma }: = \sum\limits_{j = 1}^N {{\partial _{{x_j}}}\left( {\gamma _j^2{\partial _{{x_j}}}} \right)} ,{\partial _{{x_j}}}: = \frac{\partial }{{\partial {x_j}}},\gamma = \left( {{\gamma _1},{\gamma _2}, \cdots ,\gamma N} \right)$$
. Our main tools are the local linking and the symmetric mountain pass theorem in critical point theory.

The purpose of this paper is threefold. First, we prove sharp singular affine Moser–Trudinger inequalities on both bounded and unbounded domains in \({\mathbb {R}}^{n}\). In particular, we will prove the following much sharper affine Moser–Trudinger inequality in the spirit of Lions (Rev Mat Iberoamericana 1(2):45–121, 1985) (see our Theorem 1.4): Let \(\alpha _{n}=n\left( \frac{n\pi ^{\frac{n}{2}}}{\Gamma (\frac{n}{2}+1)}\right) ^{\frac{1}{n-1}}\), \(0\le \beta <n\) and \(\tau >0\). Then there exists a constant \(C=C\left( n,\beta \right) >0\) such that for all \(0\le \alpha \le \left( 1-\frac{\beta }{n}\right) \alpha _{n}\) and \(u\in C_{0}^{\infty }\left( {\mathbb {R}}^{n}\right) \setminus \left\{ 0\right\} \) with the affine energy \(~{\mathcal {E}}_{n}\left( u\right) <1\), we have
$$\begin{aligned} {\displaystyle \int \nolimits _{{\mathbb {R}}^{n}}} \frac{\phi _{n,1}\left( \frac{2^{\frac{1}{n-1}}\alpha }{\left( 1+{\mathcal {E}}_{n}\left( u\right) ^{n}\right) ^{\frac{1}{n-1}}}\left| u\right| ^{\frac{n}{n-1}}\right) }{\left| x\right| ^{\beta }}dx\le C\left( n,\beta \right) \frac{\left\| u\right\| _{n}^{n-\beta }}{\left| 1-{\mathcal {E}}_{n}\left( u\right) ^{n}\right| ^{1-\frac{\beta }{n}}}. \end{aligned}$$
Moreover, the constant \(\left( 1-\frac{\beta }{n}\right) \alpha _{n}\) is the best possible in the sense that there is no uniform constant \(C(n, \beta )\) independent of u in the above inequality when \(\alpha >\left( 1-\frac{\beta }{n}\right) \alpha _{n}\). Second, we establish the following improved Adams type inequality in the spirit of Lions (Theorem 1.8): Let \(0\le \beta <2m\) and \(\tau >0\). Then there exists a constant \(C=C\left( m,\beta ,\tau \right) >0\) such that
$$\begin{aligned} \underset{u\in W^{2,m}\left( {\mathbb {R}}^{2m}\right) , \int _{ {\mathbb {R}}^{2m}}\left| \Delta u\right| ^{m}+\tau \left| u\right| ^{m} \le 1}{\sup } {\displaystyle \int \nolimits _{{\mathbb {R}}^{2m}}} \frac{\phi _{2m,2}\left( \frac{2^{\frac{1}{m-1}}\alpha }{\left( 1+\left\| \Delta u\right\| _{m}^{m}\right) ^{\frac{1}{m-1}}}\left| u\right| ^{\frac{m}{m-1}}\right) }{\left| x\right| ^{\beta }}dx\le C\left( m,\beta ,\tau \right) , \end{aligned}$$
for all \(0\le \alpha \le \left( 1-\frac{\beta }{2m}\right) \beta (2m,2)\). When \(\alpha >\left( 1-\frac{\beta }{2m}\right) \beta (2m,2)\), the supremum is infinite. In the above, we use
$$\begin{aligned} \phi _{p,q}(t)=e^{t}- {\displaystyle \sum \limits _{j=0}^{j_{\frac{p}{q}}-2}} \frac{t^{j}}{j!},\,\,\,j_{\frac{p}{q}}=\min \left\{ j\in {\mathbb {N}} :j\ge \frac{p}{q}\right\} \ge \frac{p}{q}. \end{aligned}$$
The main difficulties of proving the above results are that the symmetrization method does not work. Therefore, our main ideas are to develop a rearrangement-free argument in the spirit of Lam and Lu (J Differ Equ 255(3):298–325, 2013; Adv Math 231(6): 3259–3287, 2012), Lam et al. (Nonlinear Anal 95: 77–92, 2014) to establish such theorems. Third, as an application, we will study the existence of weak solutions to the biharmonic equation
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{l} \Delta ^{2}u+V(x)u=f(x,u)\text { in }{\mathbb {R}}^{4}\\ u\in H^{2}\left( {\mathbb {R}}^{4}\right) ,~u\ge 0 \end{array} \right. , \end{aligned}$$
where the nonlinearity f has the critical exponential growth.

Consider the following prescribed scalar curvature problem involving the fractional Laplacian with critical exponent:
$$\begin{aligned} \left\{ \begin{array}{ll}(-\Delta )^{\sigma }u=K(y)u^{\frac{N+2\sigma }{N-2\sigma }} \text { in }~ {\mathbb {R}}^{N},\\ ~u>0, \quad y\in {\mathbb {R}}^{N}.\end{array}\right. \end{aligned}$$
(0.1)
For \(N\ge 4\) and \(\sigma \in (\frac{1}{2}, 1),\) we prove a local uniqueness result for bubbling solutions of (0.1). Such a result implies that some bubbling solutions preserve the symmetry from the scalar curvature K(y).

A singularly perturbed parabolic equation
$${\varepsilon ^2}\left( {{{\text{a}}^2}\frac{{{\partial ^2}u}}{{\partial {x^2}}} - \frac{{\partial u}}{{\partial t}}} \right) = F\left( {u,x,t,\varepsilon } \right)$$
is considered in a rectangle with boundary conditions of the first kind. The function F at the corner points of the rectangle is assumed to be monotonic with respect to the variable u on the interval from the root of the degenerate equation to the boundary condition. A complete asymptotic expansion of the solution as ε → 0 is constructed, and its uniformity in the closed rectangle is proven.

Using Morse theory, truncation arguments and an abstract critical point theorem, we obtain the existence of at least three or infinitely many nontrivial solutions for the following quasilinear Schrödinger equation in a bounded smooth domain
$$\left\{ {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} { - {\Delta _p}u - \frac{p}{{{2^{p - 1}}}}u{\Delta _p}\left( {{u^2}} \right) = f\left( {x,u} \right)\;in\;\Omega } \\ {u = 0\;on\;\partial \Omega .} \end{array}} \right.$$
(0.1)
Our main results can be viewed as a partial extension of the results of Zhang et al. in [28] and Zhou and Wu in [29] concerning the the existence of solutions to (0.1) in the case of p = 2 and a recent result of Liu and Zhao in [21] two solutions are obtained for problem 0.1.

In this paper we establish the following estimate:
$$\omega \left( {\left\{ {x \in {\mathbb{R}^n}:\left| {\left[ {b,T} \right]f\left( x \right)} \right| > \lambda } \right\}} \right) \leqslant \frac{{{c_T}}}{{{\varepsilon ^2}}}\int_{{\mathbb{R}^n}} {\Phi \left( {{{\left\| b \right\|}_{BMO}}\frac{{\left| {f\left( x \right)} \right|}}{\lambda }} \right){M_{L{{\left( {\log L} \right)}^{1 + \varepsilon }}}}} \omega \left( x \right)dx$$
where ω ≥ 0, 0 < ε < 1 and Φ(t) = t(1 + log+(t)). This inequality relies upon the following sharp L p estimate:
$${\left\| {\left[ {b,T} \right]f} \right\|_{{L^p}\left( \omega \right)}} \leqslant {c_T}{\left( {p'} \right)^2}{p^2}{\left( {\frac{{p - 1}}{\delta }} \right)^{\frac{1}{{p'}}}}{\left\| b \right\|_{BMO}}{\left\| f \right\|_{{L^p}\left( {{M_{L{{\left( {{{\log }_L}} \right)}^{2p - 1 + {\delta ^\omega }}}}}} \right)}}$$
where 1 < p < ∞, ω ≥ 0 and 0 < δ < 1. As a consequence we recover the following estimate essentially contained in [18]:
$$\omega \left( {\left\{ {x \in {\mathbb{R}^n}:\left| {\left[ {b,T} \right]f\left( x \right)} \right| > \lambda } \right\}} \right) \leqslant {c_T}{\left[ \omega \right]_{{A_\infty }}}{\left( {1 + {{\log }^ + }{{\left[ \omega \right]}_{{A_\infty }}}} \right)^2}\int_{{\mathbb{R}^n}} {\Phi \left( {{{\left\| b \right\|}_{BMO}}\frac{{\left| {f\left( x \right)} \right|}}{\lambda }} \right)M} \omega \left( x \right)dx.$$
We also obtain the analogue estimates for symbol-multilinear commutators for a wider class of symbols.

In this paper, we investigate the positive solutions to the following integral system with a polyharmonic extension operator on R~+_n:{u(x)=c_n,a∫_?R_+~n(x_n~(1-a_v)(y)/|x-y|~(n-a))dy,x∈R_+~n,v(y)=c_n,a∫_R_+~n(x_n~(1-a_uθ)(x)/|x-y|~(n-a))dx,y∈ ?R_+~n,where n 2, 2-n a 1, κ, θ 0. This integral system arises from the Euler-Lagrange equation corresponding to an integral inequality on the upper half space established by Chen(2014). The explicit formulations of positive solutions are obtained by the method of moving spheres for the critical case κ =n-2+a/n-a,θ =n+2-a/ n-2+a. Moreover,we also give the nonexistence of positive solutions in the subcritical case for the above system.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to study the stability problem of the generalized sine functional equations as follows:
g(x)f(y)=f(x+y/2)^2-f(x-y/2)^2 f(x)g(y)=f(x+y/2)^2-f(x-y/2)^2,g(x)g(y)=f(x+y/2)^-f(x-y/2)^2
Namely, we have generalized the Hyers Ulam stability of the (pexiderized) sine functional equation.  相似文献

The purpose of this work is the analysis of the solutions to the following problems related to the fractional p-Laplacian in a Lipschitzian bounded domain \({\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^N}\),
$$\left\{\begin{array}{lll}-\int_{\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{|u(y)-u(x)|^{p-2}(u(y)-u(x))}{|x-y|^{\alpha p}}\;dy=f(x,u)\;\;&x\in \Omega,\\ u=g(x) &x\in\mathbb{R}^N\setminus \Omega,\end{array}\right.$$
where \({\alpha\in(0,1)}\) and the exponent p goes to infinity. In particular we will analyze the cases:
  1. (i)
    \({f=f(x).}\)

  2. (ii)
    \({f=f(u)=|u|^{\theta(p)-1} u \, {\rm with} \, 0 < \theta(p) < p -1 \, {\rm and} \, \lim_{p\to\infty}\frac{\theta(p)}{p-1}=\Theta < 1 \, {\rm with} \, g \geq 0.}\)

We show the convergence of the solutions to certain limit as \({p\to\infty}\) and identify the limit equation. In both cases, the limit problem is closely related to the Infinity Fractional Laplacian:
$$\mathcal{L}_\infty v(x)=\mathcal{L}_\infty^+ v(x)+\mathcal{L}_\infty^- v(x),$$
where
$$\mathcal{L}_\infty^+ v(x)=\sup_{y\in\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{v(y)-v(x)}{|y-x|^\alpha}, \quad \mathcal{L}_\infty^- v(x)=\inf_{y\in\mathbb{R}^N}\frac{v(y)-v(x)}{|y-x|^\alpha}.$$

This paper is devoted to a substantial generalization of previous work on the analytic hypoellipticity of sums of squares \(P=\sum _1^4X^2_j\) of real vector fields with real analytic coefficient in three variables. For p(xy) quasi-homogeneous in (xy), consider the vector fields
$$\begin{aligned} X_1 = \frac{\partial }{\partial x}, \quad X_2=-\frac{\partial }{\partial y} + p(x,y)\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \quad X_3=x^{n_1}\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \quad X_4=y^{n_2}\frac{\partial }{\partial t}, \end{aligned}$$
\( n_1, n_2 \ne 0\). We show that the operator
$$\begin{aligned} P=\sum _1^4 X_j^2, \end{aligned}$$
well known to be \(C^\infty \)-hypoelliptic, is actually analytic hypoelliptic near the origin in \({\mathcal {R}}^3\).

Given V, w locally integrable functions on a general domain Ω with V ≥  0 but w allowed to change sign, we study the existence of ground states for the nonlinear eigenvalue problem:
$-\Delta u + V u = \lambda w |u|^{p-2} u, \quad u|_{\partial \Omega} =0,$
with p subcritical. These are minimizers of the associated Rayleigh quotient whose existence is ensured under suitable assumptions on the weight w. In the present paper we show that an admissible space of weight functions is provided by the closure of smooth functions with compact support in the Lorentz space \({L(\tilde p,\infty)}\) with \({\frac{1}{{\widetilde p}} + \frac{p}{2^{\star}} =1}\) . This generalizes previous results and gives new sufficient conditions ensuring existence of extremals for generalized Hardy–Sobolev inequalities. The existence in such a generality of a principal eigenfunction in the linear case p = 2 is applied to study the bifurcation for semilinear problems of the type
$-\Delta u= \lambda (a(x)u + b(x) r(u)),$
where a, b are indefinite weights belonging to some Lorentz spaces, and the function r has subcritical growth at infinity.

We present the conditions under which every nonoscillator solution x(t) of the forced fractional differential equation
$$\begin{aligned} ^{\mathrm{C}}D_{\mathrm{c}}^{\alpha } y ( t ) = e ( t ) +f ( {t, x ( t )} ), c > 1,\alpha \in ( {0,1} ), \quad \mathrm{{and}} \,\, \delta \ge 1, \end{aligned}$$
where \(y(t)= ( {a(t) ( {{x}'(t)} )^{\delta }})^{\prime },c_0 =\frac{y(c)}{\Gamma (1)}= y(c)\), is a real constant which satisfies
$$\begin{aligned} |x(t)|=O\left( {t^{1/\delta }e^{t}\int _{\mathrm{c}}^{t} {a^{-1/\delta }} (s)\mathrm{d}s} \right) , \quad t \rightarrow \infty \end{aligned}$$
It is shown that the technique can be applied to some related fractional differential equations. Examples are inserted to illustrate the relevance of the obtained results.
