Uniform Estimates for a Class of Evolution Equations

L^∞ estimates are derived for the oscillatory integral ∫⁺₀^∞e^{−i(xλ + (1/m) tλm)}a(λ) dλ, where 2 ≤ m and (x, t) × ₊. The amplitude a(λ) can be oscillatory, e.g., a(λ) = e^{it (λ)} with (λ) a polynomial of degree ≤ m − 1, or it can be of polynomial type, e.g., a(λ) = (1 + λ)^k with 0 ≤ k ≤ (m − 2). The estimates are applied to the study of solutions of certain linear pseudodifferential equations, of the generalized Schrödinger or Airy type, and of associated semilinear equations.

LetΩRn be a bounded domain with a smooth boundary.We consider the longtime dynamics of a class of damped wave equations with a nonlinear memory term utt+αut-△u-∫0t 0μ(t-s)|u(s)| βu(s)ds + g(u)=f.Based on a time-uniform priori estimate method,the existence of the compact global attractor is proved for this model in the phase space H10(Ω)×L2(Ω).     

The Global Random Attractor for a Class of Stochastic Porous Media Equations

We prove new L ²-estimates and regularity results for generalized porous media equations “shifted by” a function-valued Wiener path. To include Wiener paths with merely first spatial (weak) derivates we introduce the notion of “ζ-monotonicity” for the non-linear function in the equation. As a consequence we prove that stochastic porous media equations have global random attractors. In addition, we show that (in particular for the classical stochastic porous media equation) this attractor consists of a random point.
