Topological quantum states have attracted great attention both theoretically and experimentally.Here,we show that the momentum-space lattice allows us to couple two Su-Schrieffer-Heeger(SSH)chains with opposite dimerizations and staggered interleg hoppings.The coupled SSH chain is a four-band model which has sublattice symmetry similar to the SSH4.Interestingly,the topological edge states occupy two sublattices at the same time,which can be regarded as a one-dimension analogue of the type-II corner state.The analytical expressions of the edge states are also obtained by solving the eigenequations.Finally,we provide a possible experimental scheme to detect the topological winding number and corresponding edge states.  相似文献

The propagation of an external transverse magnetic signal acting locally on a 1d chain of spins generates a disturbance which runs through the system. This quantum effect can be interpreted as a classical travelling wave which contains a superposition of a large set of frequencies depending on the size of the chain. Its local amplitude fixes the size of the z-component of the spins at any location in the chain. The average and maximum value of the group velocity are determined and compared with the transmission velocity fixed by the Lieb-Robinson upper bound inequality.  相似文献

The principal resonance of a van der Pol-Duffing oscillator subject to narrowband random excitations has been studied. By introducing a new expansion parameter the method of multiple scales is adapted for the strongly non-linear system. The behavior of steady state responses, together with their stability, and the effects of system damping and the detuning, and magnitude of the random excitation on steady state responses are analyzed in detail. Theoretical analyses are verified by some numerical results. It is found that when the random noise intensity increases, the steady state solution may change form a limit cycle to a diffused limit cycle, and the system may have two different stable steady state solutions for the same excitation under certain conditions. The results obtained for the strongly non-linear oscillator complement previous results in the literature for weakly non-linear systems.  相似文献

A simple classical model for nuclear spin-lattice relaxation due to solitons in XY one-dimensional magnetic chains in an external magnetic field is discussed. The results show that one should expect opposite behavior for the H/T dependence of T-11 for the ferromagnetic and the antiferromagnetic case.  相似文献

One–particle interchain hopping in a system of coupled Luttinger liquids is investigated by use of exact diagonalizations techniques [1]. We give numerical evidence that inter-chain coherent hopping (defined by a nonvanishing splitting) can be totally suppressed for the Luttinger liquid exponent α~ 0:4 or even smaller α values. The transverse conductivity is shown to exhibit a strong incoherent part even when coherent inter-chain hopping is believed to occur. Implications for the optical experiments in quasi-1D organic or high-T c superconductors is outlined.  相似文献

In strongly coupled plasmas, the orientation phenomena for direct excitations in electron-hydrogenic ion collisions are investigated using the ion-sphere interaction potential. For small impact parameters, the orientation parameters have minima which correspond to the complete transitions. A theory for the bound state of two plasmons in an electron gas is developed with the four-particle density response function invoking only the electron-electron interactions. The plasmon-plasmon interaction in our theory arises due to the exchange of four one-particle Green's functions for the electrons. This interaction is found to be attractive, and under certain conditions is reduced to the exchange of an electron-hole pair. However, this is not strong enough to bind two plasmons in the range of metallic densities, which is in contrast to the conclusions derived by Ruvalds et al.  相似文献

The Landau-Zener transition is a fundamental concept for dynamical quantum systems and has been studied in numerous fields of physics. Here, we present a classical mechanical model system exhibiting analogous behavior using two inversely tunable, strongly coupled modes of the same nanomechanical beam resonator. In the adiabatic limit, the anticrossing between the two modes is observed and the coupling strength extracted. Sweeping an initialized mode across the coupling region allows mapping of the progression from diabatic to adiabatic transitions as a function of the sweep rate.  相似文献

We study the optical response of strongly coupled metal nanoparticle chains using rigorous multiple scattering calculations. The collective resonant frequency of silver nanosphere chains and the coupling between chains are considered. The coupling between silver nanoparticle chains are understood by the transmission and reflection calculations of 2D periodic arrays of nanospheres. The results are in agreement with recent experiments. The splitting of plasmon resonance modes for different polarizations of the incident light are explored. Our results show that the transverse mode resonant wavelength is very sensitive to the inter-chain distance. Results on the effect of disorder are also presented.  相似文献

We show that in a dilute fermionic superfluid, when the fermions interact with an infinite scattering length, a vortex state is characterized by a strong density depletion along the vortex core. This feature can make a direct visualization of vortices in fermionic superfluids possible.  相似文献

This paper deals with the approximate analysis of non-linear non-conservative systems of two degrees of freedom subjected to transient excitations. By using a transformation of the co-ordinates, the governing differential equations of the system are brought into a form to which the method of averaging of Krylov and Bogoliubov can be applied. The response of a representative spring-mass-damper system to typical pulses like a blast pulse and a half sinusoidal pulse is determined. The validity of the approach is demonstrated by comparison of the approximate solutions with numerical results obtained on a digital computer.  相似文献

A general method is presented for the analysis of the asynchronous state in networks of identical, all-to-all coupled, limit-cycle oscillators of arbitrary dimension and with arbitrarily strong coupling. It is shown that, with strong coupling, this state can be destabilized in directions orthogonal to the limit cycle, which may change the units' behavior qualitatively. An example, involving integrate and fire neurons with spike adaptation, exhibits a bifurcation to a synchronized bursting state for strong feedback coupling. The analysis can account for transitions that cannot be studied in the commonly used phase-coupled approximation.  相似文献

By means of density functional theory, we investigate the magnetic ground state of edge-sharing CuO2 spin chains, as found in the (La,Ca,Sr)14Cu24O41 system, for instance. Our data rely on spin-polarized electronic structure calculations including on-site interaction [local density approximation plus the multiorbital mean-field Hubbard model (LDA+U)] and an effective model for the interchain coupling. Strong doping dependence of the magnetic order is characteristic for edge-sharing CuO2 spin chains. We determine the ground state magnetic structure as function of the spin-chain filling and quantify the competing exchange interactions.  相似文献

The contributions of some of the strongly coupled collective excitations in12C+12C to the heavy ion optical potential have been explicitly obtained by calculating the exact Green's function for this problem. The resulting nonlocal heavy ion potential and the trivially equivalent local potential are calculated and theirJ- andE-dependence are discussed. Using adiabatic approximation, a two arbitrary qubits Rabi model has been studied in ultra-strong coupling. The analytical expressions of the eigenvalues and the eigenvalues are obtained. They are in accordance with the numerical determined results. The dynamical behavior of the system and the evolution of entanglement have also been discussed. The collapse and revival phenomena has garnered particular attention. The influence of inconsistent coupling strength on them is studied.
