本文对任意粘性阻尼系统提出一种新的自由界面部件模态综合方法.对于具有刚体自由度的部件引入状态向量描述的左、右投影矩阵,论证了投影矩阵对状态位移及状态力的算子作用,据此定义了状态剩余柔度矩阵及状态剩余惯性释放附着模态.文中提供的三个算例表明,本文提出的方法具有较高的计算精度和模态综合效率.  相似文献

A matricial computation of quadrature formulas for orthogonal rational functions on the unit circle, is presented in this paper. The nodes of these quadrature formulas are the zeros of the para-orthogonal rational functions with poles in the exterior of the unit circle and the weights are given by the corresponding Christoffel numbers. We show how these nodes can be obtained as the eigenvalues of the operator Möbius transformations of Hessenberg matrices and also as the eigenvalues of the operator Möbius transformations of five-diagonal matrices, recently obtained. We illustrate the preceding results with some numerical examples.  相似文献

There has been much recent interest, initiated by work of the physicists Hatano and Nelson, in the eigenvalues of certain random, non‐Hermitian, periodic tridiagonal matrices and their bidiagonal limits. These eigenvalues cluster along a “bubble with wings” in the complex plane, and the corresponding eigenvectors are localized in the wings, delocalized in the bubble. Here, in addition to eigenvalues, pseudospectra are analyzed, making it possible to treat the nonperiodic analogues of these random matrix problems. Inside the bubble, the resolvent norm grows exponentially with the dimension. Outside, it grows subexponentially in a bounded region that is the spectrum of the infinite‐dimensional operator. Localization and delocalization correspond to resolvent matrices whose entries exponentially decrease or increase, respectively, with distance from the diagonal. This article presents theorems that characterize the spectra, pseudospectra, and numerical range for the four cases of finite bidiagonal matrices, infinite bidiagonal matrices (“stochastic Toeplitz operators”), finite periodic matrices, and doubly infinite bidiagonal matrices (“stochastic Laurent operators”). © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

We introduce a new concept of numerical range for analytic operator functions. This so-called quadratic numerical range is induced by a decomposition of the underlying Hilbert space. Like the classical numerical range of an operator function, it is not convex, it has the spectral inclusion property, and it provides resolvent estimates and estimates for the lengths of Jordan chains in boundary points having the exterior cone property. As the quadratic numerical range is contained in the numerical range, it yields tighter enclosures for the eigenvalues and the spectrum of analytic operator functions.  相似文献

In this paper a new concept for 2×2-block operator matrices – the quadratic numerical range – is studied. The main results are a spectral inclusion theorem, an estimate of the resolvent in terms of the quadratic numerical range, factorization theorems for the Schur complements, and a theorem about angular operator representations of spectral invariant subspaces which implies e.g. the existence of solutions of the corresponding Riccati equations and a block diagonalization. This is the first part of a paper that deals with error estimates for the Rayleigh-Ritz approximations to the spectrum and invariant subspaces of a bounded Hermitian operator in a Hilbert or Euclidean space. This part addresses estimates for the angles between the invariant subspaces and their approximations via the corresponding best approximation errors and residuals and, for invariant subspaces corresponding to parts of the discrete spectrum, via eigenvalue errors. The paper’s major concern is to ensure that the estimates in question are accurate and ‘cluster robust’, i.e. are not adversely affected by the presence of clustered, i.e. closely situated eigenvalues in the spectrum. Available estimates of such kind are reviewed and new estimates are derived. The paper’s main new results introduce estimates for invariant subspaces in which the operator may have clustered eigenvalues whereby not only the distances between eigenvalues in the cluster are not present but also the distances between the cluster and the rest of the spectrum appear in asymptotically insignificant terms only.  相似文献

This paper considers systems of Laguerre-type orthogonal polynomials for which the corresponding Jacobi matrices represent unbounded self-adjoint operators which are bounded above or below. Under appropriate assumptions on the coefficient sequences in the recursion formula, results are obtained on the uniform boundedness of the polynomials on bounded intervals, the absence of eigenvalues for the corresponding operator, and the absolute continuity of the measure of orthogonality. We present an operator theoretic approach to orthogonal rational functions based on the identification of a suitable matrix representation of the multiplication operator associated with the corresponding orthogonality measure. Two alternatives are discussed, leading to representations which are linear fractional transformations with matrix coefficients acting on infinite Hessenberg or five-diagonal unitary matrices. This approach permits us to recover the orthogonality measure throughout the spectral analysis of an infinite matrix depending uniquely on the poles and the parameters of the recurrence relation for the orthogonal rational functions. Besides, the zeros of the orthogonal and para-orthogonal rational functions are identified as the eigenvalues of matrix linear fractional transformations of finite Hessenberg or five-diagonal matrices. As an application we use operator perturbation theory results to obtain new relations between the support of the orthogonality measure and the location of the poles and parameters of the recurrence relation for the orthogonal rational functions.  相似文献

The operator associated to the angular part of the Dirac equation in the Kerr-Newman background metric is a block operator matrix with bounded diagonal and unbounded off-diagonal entries. The aim of this paper is to establish a variational principle for block operator matrices of this type and to derive thereof upper and lower bounds for the angular operator mentioned above. We study and compare natural generalizations of Euclid's algorithm for polynomials with coefficients in a finite field. This leads to gcd algorithms together with their associated continued fraction maps. The gcd algorithms act on triples of polynomials and rely on two-dimensional versions of the Brun, Jacobi–Perron and fully subtractive continued fraction maps, respectively. We first provide a unified framework for these algorithms and their associated continued fraction maps. We then analyse various costs for the gcd algorithms, including the number of iterations and two versions of the bit-complexity, corresponding to two representations of polynomials (the usual and the sparse one). We also study the associated two-dimensional continued fraction maps and prove the invariance and the ergodicity of the Haar measure. We deduce corresponding estimates for the costs of truncated trajectories under the action of these continued fraction maps, obtained thanks to their transfer operators, and we compare the two models (gcd algorithms and their associated continued fraction maps). Proving that the generating functions appear as dominant eigenvalues of the transfer operator allows indeed a fine comparison between the models.  相似文献
