本文应用量子力学生成函数法,在等效耦合模条件下导出多声子弛豫速率的普适表达式,及在高级近似条件下的解析表达式。指出Fong等人在弱耦合条件下用统计方法、Miyakawa等人在弱耦合和低温近似条件下所得多声子弛豫速率表达式的局限性。文中还计算了多声子弛豫速率对温度、声子能量、能隙以及位移参数的依赖关系。  相似文献

We apply a method analogous to the eikonal approximation to the Maxwell wave equations in an inhomogeneous anisotropic medium and geodesic motion in a three dimensional Riemannian manifold, using a method which identifies the symplectic structure of the corresponding mechanics, to the five dimensional generalization of Maxwell theory required by the gauge invariance of Stueckelberg's covariant classical and quantum dynamics. In this way, we demonstrate, in the eikonal approximation, the existence of geodesic motion for the flow of mass in a four dimensional pseudo-Riemannian manifold. These results provide a foundation for the geometrical optics of the five dimensional radiation theory and establish a model in which there is mass flow along geodesics. We then discuss the interesting case of relativistic quantum theory in an anisotropic medium as well. In this case the eikonal approximation to the relativistic quantum mechanical current coincides with the geodesic flow governed by the pseudo-Riemannian metric obtained from the eikonal approximation to solutions of the Stueckelberg–Schrödinger equation. The locally symplectic structure which emerges is that of a generally covariant form of Stueckelberg's mechanics on this manifold.  相似文献

We present an efficient method for preparing the initial state required by the eigenvalue approximation quantum algorithm of Abrams and Lloyd. Our method can be applied when solving continuous Hermitian eigenproblems, e.g., the Schr?dinger equation, on a discrete grid. We start with a classically obtained eigenvector for a problem discretized on a coarse grid, and we efficiently construct, quantum mechanically, an approximation of the same eigenvector on a fine grid. We use this approximation as the initial state for the eigenvalue estimation algorithm, and show the relationship between its success probability and the size of the coarse grid.  相似文献

By using path integral methods a collective quantum field theory of interacting many-body systems is developed, the classical limit of which is given by the time-dependent mean-field approximation. In this way the mean-field approximation is embedded into the full quantum mechanics and the quantum corrections to the “classical” mean-field approximation can be systematically evaluated. By including the dominant quantum corrections to the mean-field approximation a semiclassical theory of large amplitude collective motions in many-body-systems, which show a highly nonlinear dynamic and are not accessible to perturbation theoretical methods, is derived. The semiclassical theory is developed explicitly for bound states and decay processes like nuclear fission. In the case of bound states this leads to the quantization of the time-dependent Hartree-Fock-Theory, which is demonstrated for a uniform nuclear rotation.  相似文献

Using the density matrix method in the form developed by Zubarev, equations of motion for nonequilibrium quantum systems with continuous short range interactions are derived which describe kinetic and hydrodynamic processes in a consistent way. The T-matrix as well as the two-particle density matrix determining the nonequilibrium collision integral are obtained in the ladder approximation including the Hartree-Fock corrections and the Pauli blocking for intermediate states. It is shown that in this approximation the total energy is conserved. The developed approach to the kinetic theory of dense quantum systems is able to reproduce the virial corrections consistent with the generalized Beth-Uhlenbeck approximation in equilibrium. The contribution of many-particle correlations to the drift term in the quantum kinetic equation for dense systems is discussed.  相似文献

Using the linear approximation method, we calculated the steady-state mean normalized intensity fluctu-ation for a loss-noise model of a single-mode laser driven by a pump noise and a quantum noise, whose real part andimaginary part are cross-correlated. We analyzed the valid range for thelinear approximation method by studying theinfluences on the steady-state mean normalized intensity fluctuation by the cross-correlation coefficient, the intensities ofthe quantum and pump noise, the net gain, and the amplitude and frequency of the input signal, and we found that thevalid range becomes wider when the cross-correlation between the real and imaginary part of quantum noise is weaker,the noise intensities of quantum and pump are weaker, the laser system is far from the threshold and the signal hassmaller amplitude and higher frequency.  相似文献

An alternative interpretation of the quantum adiabatic approximation is presented. This interpretation is based on the ideas originally advocated by Bohm in his quest for establishing a hidden variable alternative to quantum mechanics. It indicates that the validity of the quantum adiabatic approximation is a sufficient condition for the separability of the quantum action function in the time variable. The implications of this interpretation for Berry's adiabatic phase and its semi-classical limit are also discussed.  相似文献

We show that the mathematical formalism of the quantum statistical model can be interpreted as a method for approximation of classical (measure-theoretic) averages on the infinite-dimensional phase space. The technique of approximation is based on the Taylor expansion of functionals of classical fields. To find the order of the deviation of quantum statistical predictions from the classical predictions, we use the time-scaling arguments. We show that quantum randomness might be considered as the result of random fluctuations at the Planck time-scale.  相似文献

Lattices are conventionally used to regulate quantum field theory. However, lattices have a number of drawbacks, one of the most noteworthy being the awkwardness which arises in treating the first difference operator associated with the fermion kinetic energy. We propose here an alternative to the conventional lattice formulation of quantum field theories. This alternative is based on the method of finite elements, which has been a powerful tool in continuum mechanics and fluid dynamics for many years. We believe that this method may be advantageous in quantum field theory because it treats bosons and fermions on a nearly equal footing. This is possible because in the finite element method one does not introduce a finite difference approximation for derivatives. In this paper, we adapt the finite element technique to quantum field theory, and apply it to several elementary field theory models.  相似文献

A derivation of hydrodynamic equations which describe diffusion in connection with reaction processes in many-particle systems is given on the basis of quantum kinetic theory. For this purpose kinetic equations are derived for a quantum gas with chemical reactions. Following Grad's method in a linear approximation reaction-diffusion equations can be obtained with explicite expressions for the diffusion and reaction rate coefficients. To treat fluctuating perturbation potentials in semiconductors, it is necessary to take quantum corrections to the Thomas-Fermi approximation into account. A generalization of the Bloch matrix, valid for arbitrary degrees of degeneracy, is used to handle these quantum corrections. The generalized Bloch equation and the results of a treatment of optical transitions in high-doped semiconductors with this method are given. The concept of effective band edges is shown to be useful for the problem on hand.  相似文献

It has been shown that the negative-norm states necessarily appear in a covariant quantization of the free minimally coupled scalar field in de Sitter spacetime. In this processes ultraviolet and infrared divergences have been automatically eliminated. A natural renormalization of the one-loop interacting quantum field in Minkowski spacetime (λφ 4) has been achieved through the consideration of the negative-norm states defined in Krein space. It has been shown that the combination of quantum field theory in Krein space together with consideration of quantum metric fluctuation, results in quantum field theory without any divergences. Pursuing this approach, we express Wick’s theorem and calculate Møller scattering in the one-loop approximation in generalized Krein space. The mathematical consequence of this method is the disappearance of the ultraviolet divergence in the one-loop approximation.  相似文献

We develop an approximation scheme for the quantum mechanics of N D0-branes at finite temperature in the 't Hooft large- N limit. The entropy of the quantum mechanics calculated using this approximation agrees well with the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy of a ten-dimensional nonextremal black hole with 0-brane charge. This result is in accordance with the duality conjectured by Itzhaki, Maldacena, Sonnenschein, and Yankielowicz [Phys. Rev. D 58, 046004 (1998)]. Our approximation scheme provides a model for the density matrix which describes a black hole in the strongly coupled quantum mechanics.  相似文献
