Based on numerical PIC modeling and an analytical model, we analyze the interaction of a short high-intensity laser pulse with homo- and heterogeneous (two-layer) shell targets. We show that the shell target is capable of focusing ions in a narrow region. In this case, the ion energy exceeds the ion energy for a flat infinite target of the same thickness. We propose to use the effect of focusing and cumulation of ions to implement the collision of ionic beams that counterpropagate from opposite sides of the sphere and to increase the yield of ion-ion reactions. The constructed model makes it possible to calculate the energy of the ion and the number of ions in the region of focusing.  相似文献

We predict photoelectron angular distributions for double ionization of Li- by both weak and intense ultrashort, linearly polarized laser pulses by direct numerical integration of the three-dimensional, time-dependent Schr?dinger equation. Li- is treated as a two-active electron system. Near threshold, for low intensity we recover general features of angular distributions for one-photon double ionization. For the intense field (multiphoton) case, the photoelectron angular distribution changes significantly, particularly in directions parallel and perpendicular to the laser polarization axis.  相似文献

We demonstrate the visualization of ultrafast hydrogen migration in deuterated acetylene dication (C2D2{2+}) by employing the pump-probe Coulomb explosion imaging with sub-10-fs intense laser pulses (9 fs, 0.13 PW/cm{2}, 800 nm). It is shown, from the temporal evolution of the momenta of the fragment ions produced by the three-body explosion, C2D2{3+}-->D{+} + C{+} + CD{+}, that the migration proceeds in a recurrent manner: the deuterium atom first shifts from one carbon site to the other in a short time scale (approximately 90 fs) and then migrates back to the original carbon site by 280 fs, in competition with the molecular dissociation.  相似文献

采用三维粒子动力学模拟方法研究了甲烷团簇在超短强激光脉冲激励下的爆炸动力学行为,重点讨论了几种典型的内电离机理对团簇爆炸过程中离子的价态和动能的影响.研究表明,在激光脉冲强度比较小的情况下,团簇中的原子主要是在光场作用下通过隧道电离的方式发生电离.当激光场进一步增强时,势垒压低电离是电离的主要方式.在相同的较高激光强度下,团簇更容易通过势垒压低电离达到高的电离价态.团簇发生电离后,其内部库仑电场的点火电离效应和内部滞留自由电子的碰撞电离效应也将增强团簇的再次电离过程. 关键词: 超短强激光脉冲 甲烷团簇 内电离  相似文献

The simulations of three-dimensional particle dynamics show that when irradiated by an ultrashort intense laser pulse, the deuterated methane cluster expands and the majority of deuterons overrun the more slowly expanding carbon ions, resulting in the creation of two separated subelusters. The enhanced deuteron kinetic energy and a narrow peak around the energy maximum in the deuteron energy distribution make a considerable contribution to the efficiency of nuclear fusion compared with the ease of homonuelear deuterium clusters. With the intense laser irradiation, the nuclear fusion yield increases with the increase of the cluster size, so that deuterated heteronuelear clusters with larger sizes are required to achieve a greater neutron yield.  相似文献

The phase modulation of intense ( I = 10(18) W/cm(2)) ultrashort laser pulses ( tau(p) = 70 fs) after reflection from steep, dense plasmas has been temporally resolved for the first time in particle-in-cell simulations. The position of the turning point from where the pulse reflects has been compared to the phase modulation, over a range of angles of incidence. At normal incidence or s polarization the phase modulation almost exactly represents the movement of the turning point due to the light pressure. As the angle of incidence is increased for p polarization, the simple Fresnel relationship between phase modulation and displacement of the reflection position, Delta phi(t) = -2k(0)Delta x(t)cos theta(0), increasingly breaks down.  相似文献

The one-dimensional electromagnetic (EM) envelope solitons in ultrashort intense laser pulse-partially stripped plasmas were discussed based on the wave equation of intense laser pulse propagating in partially stripped plasmas. Under the weakly relativistic assumption, a modified nonlinear Schrödinger (NLS) equation describing the evolution of the EM field was derived. The analytical analysis shows that in the ultra-short broad beam limits, the relativistic nonlinearity and striction nonlinearity cancel each other, and a one-dimensional laser pulse envelope soliton can be formed only due to the polarization nonlinearity. The relationship between the characteristics of soliton and the parameters of laser pulse and partially stripped plasmas was discussed by numerical analysis.  相似文献

We perform a theoretical investigation on the control over the atomic excitation of Rydberg states with shaped intense ultrashort laser pulses. By numerically solving the time-dependent Schr?dinger equation(TDSE), we systematically study the dependence of the population of the Rydberg states on the π phase step position in the frequency spectra of the laser pulse for different intensities, central wavelengths and pulse durations. Our results show that the Rydberg excitation process can be effectively modulated using shaped intense laser pulses with the laser intensity as high as 1 × 10~(14) W/cm~2. Our work also have benefit to the future investigation to find out the dominant mechanism behind the excitation of Rydberg states in strong laser fields.  相似文献

We develop an analytical approach to describing the generation of a single attosecond burst during barrier-suppression ionization of a hydrogen atom by an intense laser pulse. We derive analytical expressions that describe the evolution of the electron wave packet in the time interval between the detachment from the atom and the collision with the parent ion for an arbitrary initial atomic state by assuming the atom to be fully ionized in one laser-field half-period. For various s-states, we derive expressions for the profile of the attosecond burst generated when the electron packet collides with the ion and analyze the dependence of its generation efficiency on the principal quantum number n of the initial atomic state. The results obtained are compared with the results of three-dimensional numerical calculations. We show that the attosecond pulse generation efficiency can be several orders of magnitude higher than that in the case of ionization from the ground state when pre-excited atomic states are used.  相似文献

The intense field-ionization behavior of linear homonuclear polyatomic molecular ions has been numerically investigated for different molecular configurations. The enhanced ionization effect of molecular ions is found as a general feature in a critical bond length range, but the enhancement degree of ionization is bond-selective. The more symmetric the molecular ion stretches, the more enhanced the ionization of the molecular ion. It implies that the symmetric fragmentation of linear molecular ions is most probable at moderate laser intensity. These results are explained in terms of the field-induced over-barrier ionization mechanism.  相似文献

The formation of coherent vibrational wave packets in the electronic ground state of neutral molecules in intense ultrashort laser pulses and their subsequent detection by means of recently developed pump-probe experiments are discussed. The wave packet formation is due to the pronounced dependence of the strong-field ionization rate on the internuclear distance. This leads to a deformation of the initial wave function due to an internuclear-distance dependent depletion. The phenomenon is demonstrated with a time-dependent wave packet study for molecular hydrogen.  相似文献

靶室腔体谐振产生的电磁辐射是超短超强激光与靶相互作用实验中生成的电磁脉冲(EMP)来源之一。基于有限元分析方法,对靶室腔谐振产生电磁脉冲和电磁脉冲通过窗口向外传播这两个过程进行仿真模拟。前者模拟获得空腔和含结构模型谐振时特征磁场,结果显示内部结构对电磁场强度分布和谐振频率有显著影响;后者模拟结果显示,窗口外侧电场强度比窗口内侧高约40%,而且电磁脉冲传播到靶室外后呈球面波形式扩散并衰减。对电磁脉冲的强度衰减规律进行了分析,得到该衰减曲线的拟合函数。  相似文献

The temporal profiles of high-power short-pulse lasers reflected from self-induced plasma mirrors(PMs) were measured with high temporal resolution in the sub-picosecond window. The leading front shape of the laser pulse is found to depend sensitively on the laser fluence on the PM surface. Spectral modulation plays a key role in pulse profile shaping. Our findings will extend our knowledge on properly using PMs.  相似文献

The heating of a single argon (Ar) cluster by a strong laser field is studied using an electrostatic particle-in-cell code for a range of intensities and cluster sizes. Heating is dominated by a nonlinear resonant absorption process involving energetic electrons transiting through the cluster. This process gives rise to a threshold in field strength for strong absorption and controls the dielectric properties of the cluster.  相似文献
