We present the results of studying the vibrational velocity distribution over the surface of cylindrical ultrasound transducers by acoustic holography. We describe two approaches for acoustic holography: the spatial spectrum method and the Rayleigh integral method. In the case of cylindrical sources the spectral method has a specific feature in comparison to the case of quasi-plane sources: small-scale spectrum components having the form of evanescent (nonpropagating) waves near the source, turn into propagating waves at a certain distance from the source. The use of such a mixed type of waves makes it possible to increase the holographic resolution. To conduct holography of cylindrical sources by the Rayleigh integral method, a modification consisting in the superimposing of boundaries on the integration region is proposed. We present the results of numerical simulation and physical experiments on holography of small cylindrical piezoelectric transducers. We demonstrate that the proposed methods of holography make it possible to recover the vibration structure of source surfaces up to order of the wavelength scales.  相似文献

Invisibility devices based on coordinate transformation have opened up a new field of considerable interest. We present here the first practical realization of a low-loss and broadband acoustic cloak for underwater ultrasound. This metamaterial cloak is constructed with a network of acoustic circuit elements, namely, serial inductors and shunt capacitors. Our experiment clearly shows that the acoustic cloak can effectively bend the ultrasound waves around the hidden object, with reduced scattering and shadow. Because of the nonresonant nature of the building elements, this low-loss (~6 dB/m) cylindrical cloak exhibits invisibility over a broad frequency range from 52 to 64?kHz. Furthermore, our experimental study indicates that this design approach should be scalable to different acoustic frequencies and offers the possibility for a variety of devices based on coordinate transformation.  相似文献

We propose a scheme of acoustic spherical cloaking by means of background irrotational flow in compressible fluid.The background flow forms a virtual curved spacetime and directs the sound waves to bypass the cloaked objects. To satisfy the laws of real fluid, we show that spatially distributed mass source and momentum source are necessary to supply. The propagation of sound waves in this system is studied via both geometric acoustics approximation and full wave approach.The analytic solution of sound fields is obtained for plane wave incidence. The results reveal the effect of phase retardation(or lead) in comparison with the ordinary transformation-acoustic cloak. In addition, the ability of cloaking is also evaluated for unideal background flows by analyzing the scattering cross section.  相似文献

We present a systematic study on the extraordinary resonant scattering in imperfect acoustic cloak by means of acoustic scattering theory. Analysis results demonstrate that the resonances are inevitable due to the perturbation to the ideal clo~k, and specific resonance modes are excited by specific order waves. The strength of resonance is determined by the magnitude of perturbation and each order wave's sensitivity to the perturbation. Further studies reveal the unique scattering characters of different resonance modes.  相似文献

The excitation and propagation of the acoustic waves in an elastic cylinder are studied by laser ultrasonics both theoretically and experimentally. The theoretical analysis of the two-dimensional acoustic field excited by a pulsed laser line source impacting on the generatrix of an elastic cylinder is presented. The dispersive properties for both cylindrical Rayleigh wave and the higher modes--whispering gallery (WG) modes are analyzed in detail. The numerical transient displacement waveforms for a detecting point located another terminal of the cylinder diameter opposite the source are calculated. The experimental excitation and detection of the acoustic waves in an aluminum cylinder are carried out on a laser ultrasonic system, which mainly consists of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser and a laser interferometer. The wave components of bulk waves and surface waves (cylindrical Rayleigh waves and WG modes) are analyzed by comparing the numerical and experimental waveforms. 基于等效介质理论, 提出了具有共焦层状结构的椭圆柱形声隐身衣设计方法. 理论分析与有限元数值模拟表明, 所设计隐身衣依然具有完美隐身衣典型特征, 可使刚性圆柱体散射场明显减小, 并且在隐身衣区域表现出波阵面弯曲的特性, 同时在隐身衣外部波阵面保持不变. 增加隐身衣离散层数可以拓宽其有效工作频带, 改善隐身效果. 由于是一种线变换隐身衣, 隐身效果受到了入射波方向的影响, 只有当入射波方向与椭圆长轴平行时效果最佳. 另外当椭圆柱焦距非常小的时候, 可近似认为是圆柱形隐身衣. 仿真实验结果证明了方法的正确性. 该研究为实现复杂形状声隐身衣提供了一种有效途径.  相似文献

利用多物理场耦合有限元法对结构和流体适应性强、抛物方程声场计算高效准确的特点,提出了三维浅海波导下弹性结构声振特性研究的有限元-抛物方程法.该方法采用多物理场耦合有限元理论建立浅海下结构近场声辐射模型,计算局域波导下结构声振信息,并提取深度方向上复声压值作为抛物方程初始值;然后采用隐式差分法求解抛物方程以步进计算结构辐射声场.重点介绍了该方法对浅海下结构声辐射计算的准确性、高效性以及快速收敛性后,对Pekeris波导中有限长弹性圆柱壳的声振特性进行了分析.研究得出,当圆柱壳靠近海面(海底)时,其耦合频率比自由场下的要高(低),当潜深达到一定范围时,与自由场耦合频率基本趋于一致;在低频远场,结构辐射场与同强度点源声场具有一定的等效性,且等效距离随着频率增加而增加;由于辐射声场受结构振动模态、几何尺寸和简正波模式影响,结构辐射场传播的衰减规律按近场声影响区、球面波衰减区、介于球面波和柱面波衰减区、柱面波衰减区四个扩展区依次进行.  相似文献

Based on the effective medium theory, we propose a practical implementation of a cylindrical acoustic cloak with a concentric alternating multilayered structure of homogeneous isotropic materials, which can perfectly mimic the ideal radius-dependent and anisotropic ordinary lens cloak. The proposal exhibits near-ideal cloaking performance such as low-scattering and shadow-reducing in a wide frequency range, thus it can hide an object from the detection of acoustic waves. The acoustic wave can pass through the cloaking shell with an unchanged wavefront shape, which endues the cloaked object with duplex communication ability. More simulations on the acoustic far-field scattering patterns and the total scattering cross-section are performed to investigate the layer number and the frequency dependence of the cloaking effect, and the results show that the thinner layers exhibit a better cloaking effect. The proposal may significantly facilitate the experimental demonstration of the acoustic cloak.  相似文献

We propose a finite elements algorithm to solve a fourth order partial differential equation governing the propagation of time-harmonic bending waves in thin elastic plates. Specially designed perfectly matched layers are implemented to deal with the infinite extent of the plates. These are deduced from a geometric transform in the biharmonic equation. To numerically illustrate the power of elastodynamic transformations, we analyze the elastic response of an elliptic invisibility cloak surrounding a clamped obstacle in the presence of a cylindrical excitation i.e. a concentrated point force. Elliptic cloaking for flexural waves involves a density and an orthotropic Young’s modulus which depend on the radial and azimuthal positions, as deduced from a coordinates transformation for circular cloaks in the spirit of Pendry et al. [Science 312, 1780 (2006)], but with a further stretch of a coordinate axis. We find that a wave radiated by a concentrated point force located a couple of wavelengths away from the cloak is almost unperturbed in magnitude and in phase. However, when the point force lies within the coating, it seems to radiate from a shifted location. Finally, we emphasize the versatility of transformation elastodynamics with the design of an elliptic cloak which rotates the wavevector of a flexural wave within its core.  相似文献

We discuss the physical phenomena that arise in the scattering of acoustic waves from fluid-immersed elastic (metal) shells which may be either evacuated or filled with the same or with a different fluid. The phenomena occurring here include the formation of circumferential (peripheral, or “surface”) waves that circumnavigate the shells, propagating either as elastic waves in the shell material or as fluid-borne waves of the Scholte-Stoneley type in the external or the internal fluid. By phase matching along a closed circuit, these waves may lead to prominent resonances in the acoustic scattering amplitude, and we demonstrate how the set of observed resonance frequencies is related to the dispersive phase velocities of the surface waves, so that one can be determined from the other. In addition, we discuss how the dispersion curves (phase velocity plotted vs. frequency) of the various types of surface waves show repulsion phenomena due to their coupling through the boundary conditions. The cases of spherical and cylindrical shells are investigated here as typical examples, and as an introductory topic we additionally mention surface waves on plates where related phenomena also occur. Both the theoretical and the experimental aspects of the present subject will be considered, including the experimental visualization of the surface waves.  相似文献

Based on the effective medium theory, the triangular ground plane cloak can be realized by thin layered systems. Two solutions of parameter setting of the layered cloak are suggested to demonstrate the invisibility performance of a hybrid incoming wave. The hybrid parameters are derived from the equivalent of both anisotropies of permittivity and permeability to the alternating layers. The performance of the designed layered cloak is validated by both TM and TE wave simulations with near-field distributions and average scattering power outflows on an observation semicircle. From the simulation results, the layered cloak with both hybrid parameters and improved hybrid parameters can reflect the incoming TM/TE waves in a specular direction, and the latter behaves with a better overall invisibility performance.  相似文献

It was proposed that perfect invisibility cloaks can be constructed for hiding objects from electromagnetic illumination [J. B. Pendry, D. Schurig, and D. R. Smith, Science 312, 1780 (2006)10.1126/science.1125907]. The cylindrical cloaks experimentally demonstrated [D. Schurig, Science 314, 977 (2006)10.1126/science.1133628] and theoretically proposed [W. Cai, Nat. Photon. 1, 224 (2007)10.1038/nphoton.2007.28] have however simplified material parameters in order to facilitate easier realization as well as to avoid infinities in optical constants. Here we show that the cylindrical cloaks with simplified material parameters inherently allow the zeroth-order cylindrical wave to pass through the cloak as if the cloak is made of a homogeneous isotropic medium, and thus visible. To all high-order cylindrical waves, our numerical simulation suggests that the simplified cloak inherits some properties of the ideal cloak, but finite scatterings exist.  相似文献

We demonstrate the presence of Dirac cones in the dispersion relation of acoustic waves propagating on the surface of a plate of methyl methacrylate containing a honeycomb lattice of cylindrical boreholes. This structure represents the acoustic analogue of graphene, the cylindrical cavities playing the role of carbon atoms while acoustic surface waves are the equivalent of electronic waves in graphene. Analytical expressions for the Dirac frequency and Dirac velocity in acoustics are given as a function of the radius and depth of boreholes. These parameters have been experimentally determined for a constructed structure and the data are in fairly good agreement with the predicted values.  相似文献

Gravitational collapse of cylindrical anisotropic fluid has been considered in analogy with the work of Misner and Sharp. Using Darmois matching conditions, the interior cylindrical dissipative fluid (in the form of shear viscosity and heat flux) is matched to an exterior vacuum Einstein–Rosen space–time. It is found that on the bounding 3-surface the radial pressure of the anisotropic perfect fluid is linearly related to the shear viscosity and the heat flux of the dissipative fluid on the boundary. This non-zero radial pressure on the bounding surface may be considered as the source of gravitational waves outside the collapsing matter distribution.  相似文献

We study shear-horizontal (SH) waves in a crystal plate of rotated Y-cut quartz in contact with a semi-infinite viscous fluid. The crystal plate and the fluid are governed by the equations of anisotropic elasticity and the theory of Newtonian fluids. A transcendental equation that determines the dispersion relations of the waves is obtained. Approximate analytical solutions to the equation are presented for the case of low viscosity fluids and the case of long waves whose wavelength is much larger than the plate thickness. The effects of the fluid viscosity and density on the dispersion relations of the waves are examined. The results obtained are fundamental and useful to the understanding and design of acoustic wave fluid sensors for measuring fluid viscosity or density.  相似文献

Here we show that floating objects in stratified fluids can be cloaked against broadband incident waves by properly architecting the bottom corrugations. The presented invisibility cloaking of gravity waves is achieved utilizing a nonlinear resonance concept that occurs between surface and internal waves mediated by the bottom topography. Our cloak bends wave rays from the surface into the body of the fluid. Wave rays then pass underneath the floating object and may be recovered back to the free surface at the downstream bearing no trace of diffraction or scattering. The cloak is the proper architecture of bottom corrugations only, and hence is surface noninvasive. The presented scheme is a nonlinear alternative to the transformation-based cloaking, but in the context of dispersive waves.  相似文献

基于多层复合材料结构的二维声隐身斗篷设计思想, 利用主动隔膜声学空腔有效密度可以任意控制这一特性, 设计了主动声学超材料下的无限长圆柱声隐身斗篷. 给出了主动隔膜声学空腔单元的声电元件类比模拟电路图和具体的有效密度控制方法. 进行了主动声学超材料声隐身斗篷的结构建模, 并对平面入射波入射下此圆柱隐身斗篷周围声压分布场进行仿真计算. 结果表明, 平面波在一定频率范围内可以毫无阻碍地透过圆柱斗篷, 似乎不存在这种障碍物, 达到声隐身效果. 同时, 计算了主动声材料斗篷下总散射截面随频率变化曲线, 研究了此斗篷隐身效果随频率的变化特性. 本文从主动控制角度探讨实验实现隐身斗篷的技术问题, 有望给声隐身斗篷实验设计提供一条新的技术途径.  相似文献

A three-dimensional (3D) spherical acoustic cloak is designed using an acoustic layered system, which can hide an object from the detection of acoustic wave in arbitrary direction. The cloak is constructed from multilayered concentric spherical shells filled with homogeneous isotropic materials. Based on spherical wave expansion method, we confirm that significant low-reflection, acoustic-shadow-reducing, and wavefront-bending effects in 3D space can be achieved by the proposed cloak. The angle distribution of the scattered wave is further evaluated by the far-field scattering pattern. In addition, the cloak is demonstrated to work efficiently in a wide bandwidth in which the cloaking efficiency decreases with increasing frequency. This study may be helpful to design high-performance 3D acoustic cloaks for broadband acoustic waves in all incidence directions.  相似文献

针对浅海信道下弹性结构声辐射预报尚无高效可靠的研究方法,提出了一种浅海信道下弹性结构声辐射快速预报的联合波叠加法.该方法结合了浅海信道传输函数、多物理场耦合数值计算法和波叠加法理论,运用该方法可对浅海信道下弹性结构辐射声场进行快速预报.经数值法和解析解法验证后,从信道下辐射源、环境影响和辐射声场测量的角度研究分析了浅海信道下弹性圆柱壳的声辐射特性,阐释了进行浅海信道下结构声辐射研究的必要性.研究结果表明,仅在低频浅海信道下弹性结构可近似等效为点源,信道上下边界对声场产生显著的耦合影响,高频段的空间声场指向性分布尤为明显,垂直线列阵进行信道下结构辐射声功率测量时,测量结果受到信道环境边界和潜深的影响较大.  相似文献
