我们利用固相反应法制备了粉末状La0.8Ca0.2MnO3样品,其空间群为pnma,样品中存在超顺磁性粒子,其截止态和超顺磁态的转变温度为185K,从dσ/dT的负峰得到铁磁-顺磁相变居里温度为210K,在顺磁领域线性拟合而得到顺磁居里温度为216.4K,分子式有效磁矩为6.25μB,低温领域磁化曲线服从布洛赫T32定律,其自旋波劲度系数为49.2meV2.  相似文献

利用溶胶-凝胶法制备了一系列的La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3样品.通过研究在不同外加磁场下磁化强度和温度变化的关系发现,在较高的外场下La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3样品的磁性反转现象没有被观察到;在低场下La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3系统磁性反转现象被实现.这说明Fe的掺杂引起了La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3样品中铁磁和反铁磁之间的竞争,导致了La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3样品磁性反转;同时外加磁场的强弱影响了La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3系统磁性反转现象的发生,外加磁场增大使得在La0.8Sr0.2Co1-xFexO3样品中Co离子的自旋平行趋势更强,在铁磁和反铁磁之间的竞争中铁磁耦合占主导优势,因此在较高的外场下磁性反转现象没有被观察到.  相似文献

Effect of Fe3O4 segregation at grain boundaries on the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3 is investigated. The experimental results show that the Fe3O4 segregation not only shifts the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic transition temperature of La0.6TCa0.33MnO3 to a lower temperature region but also induces a new transition in a lower temperature region. Meanwhile, the transition processes observed in both the resistivity and magnetization curves are obviously widened. Compared to pure La0.67Ca0.33MnO3, we assume that the Fe3O4 segregation level at the grain boundaries can modify the electrical transport and magnetic properties of La0.67Ca0.33MnO3.  相似文献

A detailed investigation of the paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition in (La(1-x)Eu(x))(0.67)Ca(0.33)MnO(3) having small Eu(3+)-content (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) has been carried out through resistivity and magnetization measurements. X-ray diffraction patterns of the compounds reveal a single phase (La(1-x)Eu(x))(0.67)Ca(0.33)MnO(3) (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) of an orthorhombic crystal structure after annealing the precursor at 800 °C for 2 h in air. With increasing Eu(3+)-content, the second-order transition (at x = 0 and 0.1) changes to first-order at x = 0.2. The experimental results demonstrate thermomagnetic irreversibility of the transition for x = 0.2 composition. This arises between the supercooling and superheating regimes where both the ferromagnetic and paramagnetic phases coexist.  相似文献

55Mn and 139La NMR measurements on a high quality single crystal of ferromagnetic (FM) La0.80Ca0.20MnO3 demonstrate the formation of localized Mn(3+,4+) states below 70 K, accompanied by a strong cooling-rate dependent increase of certain FM neutron Bragg peaks. (55,139)(1/T(1)) spin-lattice and (139)(1/T(2)) spin-spin relaxation rates are strongly enhanced on approaching this temperature from below, signaling a genuine phase transition at T(tr) approximately 70 K. The disappearance of the FM metallic signal by applying a weak external magnetic field, the different NMR radio-frequency enhancement of the FM metallic and insulating states, and the observed finite size scaling of T(tr) with Ca (hole) doping, as observed in powder La(1-x)CaxMnO3 samples, are suggestive of freezing into an inhomogeneous FM insulating and orbitally ordered state embodying "metallic" hole-rich walls.  相似文献

We have studied the magnetic and transport properties of Fe doped La0.65A0.35Mn0.95Fe0.05O3 (A = Ca, Sr, Pb, Ba) manganites. All the compositions show ferromagnetic/metal to paramagnetic/insulator transition (TC) except the Pb doped sample which is insulating and ferromagnetic (FM) in the entire temperature range. The magnetization and TC are decreased by decreasing the cation size on La site. The transition temperature and magnetic moment at 77 K is a maximum for Sr doped sample and is decreasing if we increase or decrease the cation size from Sr size. The maximum value of TC and magnetic moment for Sr based sample is most likely due to the closer ionic sizes of La and Sr as compared to the other dopants (Ca, Pb, and Ba). We observed a spin freezing type effect in the Pb doped sample below 120 K in resistivity, ac susceptibility and in magnetization. This suggests that the AFM interactions introduced by the Fe are most effective in the Pb doped composition leading to increased competition between the FM and AFM interactions. This FM and AFM interaction generates some degree of frustration leading to the appearance of spin glass like phase whose typical magnetic behavior is studied for small ion when the metallic like behavior is lost.  相似文献

利用固相反应法制备了Ru掺杂La0.7Ca0.2Ba0.1Mn1-xRuxO3(x=0~0.06)的多晶样品,探讨了Ru掺杂对体系结构,输运性质以及磁电阻的影响.多晶X射线衍射证实所有样品均保持简单立方钙钛矿结构.通过零场冷却(ZFC)和加场冷却(FC)下的磁化曲线的测量发现随温度降低样品发生了顺磁(PM)到铁磁(FM)的相变,且样品的居里温度(Tc)随Ru掺杂发生了显著的变化,从x=0.00时的306.7K,下降到x=0.02时的294.3K,紧接着又上升到x=0.04时的302.4K.测得居里温度明显高于La0.7Ca0.2Ba0.1Mn1-xMoxO3体系,而且其磁性也大为增强.由零场和外加磁场H=1T测量得到样品的ρ~T曲线表明随温度降低样品同时发生了从绝缘体到金属的转变,绝缘体-金属转变温度低于相应的居里温度.适量的Ru掺杂降低了样品的电阻率,增强了低温时的磁电阻.  相似文献

The magnetic properties and magnetocaloric effects(MCE) of Ho Ni Ga compound are investigated systematically.The Ho Ni Ga exhibits a weak antiferromagnetic(AFM) ground state below the Neel temperature TNof 10 K, and the AFM ordering could be converted into ferromagnetic(FM) ordering by external magnetic field. Moreover, the field-induced FM phase exhibits a high saturation magnetic moment and a large change of magnetization around the transition temperature,which then result in a large MCE. A large-?S_M of 22.0 J/kg K and a high RC value of 279 J/kg without magnetic hysteresis are obtained for a magnetic field change of 5 T, which are comparable to or even larger than those of some other magnetic refrigerant materials in the same temperature range. Besides, the μ_0H~(2/3)dependence of |?S_M~(pk)| well follows the linear fitting according to the mean-field approximation, suggesting the nature of second-order FM–PM magnetic transition under high magnetic fields. The large reversible MCE induced by metamagnetic transition suggests that Ho Ni Ga compound could be a promising material for magnetic refrigeration in low temperature range.  相似文献

The finite size effects on magnetic properties of shell particles in the shape of truncated octahedron are studied using classical O(3) Heisenberg model. Both considered cases with nearest neighbor ferromagnetic (FM) and antiferromagnetic (AFM) exchange interactions show the existence of the well-defined ground state. The FM particles show FM order, while AFM particles show freezing in the non-collinear structure with very low magnetization due to the presence of frustrated triangular facets. The variation of magnetization, susceptibility and specific heat as a function of size shows considerable differences from that in the three-dimensional (3D) particles. We also observe effects of shell geometry, i.e. the fraction of sites in facets, edges and vertexes, which affects the apparent ordering temperature.  相似文献

系统研究了Nd0.5Ca0.5Mn1-xAlxO3(x=0,0.03)单相多晶样品在低温下的电磁性质和超声特性.电阻和磁化率测量表明,Nd0.5Ca0.5O3体系在TCO-257 K处发生了电荷有序相变.超声声速从室温开始随着温度的降低逐渐减小,并在TCO附近达到最小,之后,随着温度的进一步降低,声速急刷增加,同时伴随着一个尖锐的超声衰减峰出现.TCO附近的超声异常表明体系中存在着强烈的电-声子相互作用,该电-声子耦合来源于Mn3 的Jahn-Teller效应.在低温下,出现了另一个超声衰减峰,它的出现归结为反铁磁相与顺磁相之间的相分离现象.随着Al在Mn位的掺入,超声声速的最低点和衰减峰向低温移动,表明体系中的电荷有序态和反铁磁相均被部分抑制,  相似文献

Magnetic properties and the magnetocaloric effect of the compound TbPdAl are investigated. The compound exhibits a weak antiferromagnetic (AFM) coupling, and undergoes two successive AFM transitions at TN=43 K and Tt=22 K. A field-induced metamagnetic transition from AFM to ferromagnetic (FM) state is observed below TN, and a small magnetic field can destroy the AFM structure of TbPdAl, inducing an FM-like state. The maximal value of magnetic entropy change is −11.4 J/kg K with a refrigerant capacity of 350 J/kg around TN for a field change of 0-5 T. Good magnetocaloric properties of TbPdAl result from the high saturation magnetization caused by the field-induced AFM-FM transition.  相似文献

Moessbauer studies on the effect of substitution with 3% Al, Co, Mn atoms in the intermetallic compound of Hf0.8Ta0.2Fe2 are reported. The Al substitution leads to increase of the FM-AFM transition temperature and to decrease of the AFM-PM transition temperature. The Co substitution leads to disappearance of the FM state, only showing some FM impurity component, while Mn substituted compound indicates coexistence of FM and AFM states at low temperature. The phenomena imply complex itinerant electron properties in these magnetic systems.  相似文献

A detailed study of magnetic properties of cobaltite YBaCo2O5.5 has been performed in high (up to 35 T) magnetic fields and under hydrostatic pressure up to 0.8 GPa. The temperatures of paramagnet-ferromagnet (PM-FM) and ferromagnet-antiferromagnet (FM-AF) phase transitions and their pressure derivatives have been determined. It has been revealed that in the compound with yttrium, in contrast to those with magnetic rare earth atoms, the AF-FM field-induced magnetic phase transition is accompanied by a considerable field hysteresis below 240 K, and the magnetic field of 35 T is not sufficient to complete this transition at low temperatures. The hysteresis value depends on the magnetic field sweep rate, which considered as an evidence of magnetic viscosity that is especially strong in the region of coexistence of the FM and AF phases. High values of susceptibility for the field-induced FM phase show that Co spin state in these compounds changes in strong magnetic field.  相似文献

During the past decade, the magnetic properties of metallic-based materials with first-order transitions have been extensively studied, motivated in part by the observation of large magnetocaloric effect (MCE) peaks displayed by these materials near room temperature. These large peaks are believed to be the result of the materials' magnetic properties at the metamagnetic region, characterized by (i) the thermal-induced transition from the ferromagnetic state (FM) to the paramagnetic state (PM) near the Curie temperature (TC) and (ii) the field-induced transition from PM state to FM state above TC. We developed a phenomenological model that utilizes the materials' mixed-state probability function to model the materials' complex hysteretic and properties at metamagnetic region. The approximate probability functions are obtained from the first and second derivatives of the magnetization curve. The probability functions are used to separate the materials' magnetization into a FM state component and a PM state component. The applicability of the model is demonstrated for a metallic-based metamagnetic material, Gd5Si2Ge2 compound, where the modeled behaviors show remarkable agreement with the experimental data at the metamagnetic region and provide new physical insights in this mixed-state region. Specifically, in the region of metamagnetic transition, the PM state component is non-reversible and is a function of the FM state component.  相似文献

Unpolarized and polarized neutron diffraction measurements have been carried out on the bilayer manganite (La0.4Pr0.6)1.2Sr1.8Mn2O7 which undergoes simultaneous semiconductor-metal paraferromagnetic transitions under magnetic field. Maximum entropy magnetization density reconstruction and multipole refinement on flipping ratios evidence the existence of two distinct field-induced states. The field-induced ferromagnetic state where the field is parallel to the c axis is characterized by the presence of magnetic moment on the Sr site of 0.48(2)mu(B), due to the Pr substitution. It also shows a high population of the d3(z(2)-r(2)) orbitals of Mn3+. For the field-induced state where the field is parallel to the a or b axes no magnetization density was found at the Sr site and the dx(2)(-y(2)) orbital is slightly more populated than the d3(z(2)-r(2)) one.  相似文献

The persistent photoinduced magnetization (PPM) in the low bandwidth material Pr(1-x)Ca(x)MnO? at the low hole doping level of x = 0.1 is reported. Upon zero-field cooling under photoexcitation, significant improvement of the ferromagnetic (FM) ordering was observed in the low temperature spin-glass phase. However, upon field cooling, the FM ordering was found to be suppressed due to weakening of the double-exchange interaction. High kinetic energy x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy measurements indicated a slight increase in the Mn3? peak under photoexcitation which clarifies the weakening of the FM interaction. The fast relaxation of the PPM is discussed in view of localization of spin polarons in sites of magnetic disorders and the results are compared with previous reports of PPM in intermediate bandwidth Pr?.?Ca?.?MnO? samples.  相似文献

The nature of the magnetic ground state near the insulator-metal transition (IMT) in La(1-x)Ba(x)CoO3 was investigated via neutron scattering. Below the critical concentration, x(c)~0.22, a commensurate antiferromagnetic (AFM) phase appears initially. Upon approaching x(c), the AFM component weakens and a ferromagnetic (FM) ordered phase sets in while in the rhombohedral lattice. At x(c), a spin flip to a new FM structure occurs at the same time as the crystal symmetry transforms to orthorhombic (Pnma). The Pnma phase may be the driving force for the IMT.  相似文献
