Except for the special case of calix[4]arene diethyl ether 1, the chlorine dioxide oxidation of dialkyl ethers 2-5 yielded only the corresponding calix[4]diquinone dialkyl ethers 8-11. Chlorine dioxide oxidation of calix[4]arene diethyl ether 1 produced two isomeric products 6 and 7, which were stable enough to be isolated by column chromatography. However, a slow conformational interconversion between isomeric pair 6 and 7 was observed at room temperature, and the equilibrium was reached after 400 h at 18 °C with an amount of 5:3 in favor of syn-isomer.  相似文献

The dinuclear titanium p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene complexes 1 and 2 after activation with methylaluminoxane have been tested as homogeneous catalysts for the polymerization of ethylene. The results show that the catalytic activity of 1, although still poor, is higher than those of the related mononuclear titanium complexes bearing calix[4]arene as ligand. The molecular weight of the polyethylene produced are high (MW up to 1.4 × 106 Dalton) with broad molecular weight distribution. The polyethylenes have high melting point (133-142 °C) indicating a linear polymer microstructure which was confirmed by 13C NMR analysis.  相似文献

The synthesis of two new flavin substituted calix[4]arene derivatives, 9 and 10 , is described. The first flavin substituted calix[4]arene derivative 9 was synthesized by the reaction of 3‐methylalloxazine ( 5 ) with 25,27‐bis(3‐bromopropoxy)‐26,28‐dihydroxy‐5,11,17,23‐tetra(tert‐butyl)calix[4]arene ( 4 ) in high yield (92%). The other derivative 10 was prepared from 3‐methylalloxazine‐1‐acetic acid ( 7 ) and 25,27‐bis(3‐cyanopropoxy)calix[4]arene ( 3 ). All new compounds were characterized by a combination of FT‐IR and 1H‐NMR spectroscopy, and elemental‐analysis techniques.  相似文献

BF2 complexes with 1,3-diketone ligands were synthesized, and their optical and electrochemical properties were studied. The colors of the complexes varied depending on the structures of the 1,3-diketone ligands. The absorption and emission maxima of the complexes with 1,3-diaryl-1,3-diketone ligands were considerably red shifted as compared to those of the complexes with 1-aryl-3-trifluoromethyl-1,3-diketone ligands, suggesting an extended π-conjugation of the 1,3-diaryl-1,3-diketone moieties. The molar absorption coefficients and quantum yields of the complexes with 1,3-diaryl-1,3-diketone ligands were larger than those of the complexes with 1-aryl-3-trifluoromethyl-1,3-diketone ligands. Cyclic voltammetry measurements revealed that the reduction potentials of the BF2 complexes were higher than those of the free ligands. These complexes exhibited various emission colors in the solid states due to the intermolecular interactions.  相似文献

New de-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arenes with acetylhydrazide substituents in cone and 1,3-alternate conformations have been synthesised with good yield by the hydrazinolysis of calix[4]arene ester derivatives. The recognition ability of synthesised macrocycles towards transition and alkali metals has been investigated by the picrate extraction method. The stoichiometry of complexes and the extraction constants have been determined. It has been found that tetrahydrazides do not extract alkali metal ions, but show an excellent affinity towards transition and heavy metal cations. The 1,3-alternate conformer of de-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene has revealed a remarkable selectivity for Ni2+ and Ag+ in the row of d-elements and for Cd2+ ion among the toxic heavy metals. The experimental data show that the removal of tert-butyl groups from tetrathiacalix[4]arene framework leads to the drastic improvement of extraction efficiency and selectivity of new tetrahydrazides.  相似文献

A series of stilbene-bridged calix[4]arenes was synthesized through an intramolecular reductive McMurry coupling of bisbenzaldehyde calix[4]arene in high yields. Tetra- and pentaethylene glycol chains were tethered to the phenolic groups of calix[4]arene to form stilbene-bridged calix[4]arene crown-5 and crown-6, respectively. The presence of stilbene bridge over the calix[4]arene rim effectively prevented the connection of the polyether chains in the cone conformation resulting in the exclusive formation of 1,3-alternate stilbene-bridged calix[4]arene crown product. Compared to the cone analogues, the 1,3-alternate calix[4]arene crown ethers showed a greater extraction ability and selectivity toward Cs+.  相似文献

A new ligand based on a p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene functionalised with three 6-carboxylato-2,2′-bipyridine arms reacted with lanthanide(III) cations to form 2:2 complexes in the solid state, whereas in solution, a concentration-dependent equilibrium is observed between 2:2 and 1:1 species, as evidenced by ES-MS and metal luminescence measurements. In the X-ray molecular structure of the terbium complex two branched calixarene platforms share one pendant arm in order to provide a neutral dimeric structure which is held together by a strong hydrogen bonded network together with efficient π–π stacking of two pyridine rings belonging to each ligand.  相似文献

The 1H, 13C and 15N NMR data, conformation and dynamic behaviour of the new tetrathiacalix[4]arenes functionalized by hydrazide and hydrazone groups are reported and compared with the result of earlier investigations of 4-tert-butylphenoxyacetylhydrazones. The unusual fact of formation of N,N′-diacetylhydrazine bridge and factors leading to its formation in the cone conformer of calixarene has been discussed. The barriers of rotation of hydrazone fragments of tetrathiacalix[4]arenes were determined by NMR-measurements at various temperatures. The structure of 1,3-alternate conformer of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis[hydrazinocarbonylmethyl]-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene in solution is compared with crystal structure obtained by the X-ray analysis.  相似文献

Bromocalix[4]arene methyl ether serves as a precursor in the synthesis of the title thiocalixarene via the reagent CuSEt. Ethylthiocalix[4]arene methyl ether crystallizes in the monoclinic space groupP21/c witha = 20.577(9),b, = 10.722(5),c = 20.315(9) Å, = 120.46(4)°, andD c = 1.24 g cm–3 forZ = 4. Refinement based on 1441 observed reflections led toR = 0.080. The configuration of the calixarene lies between the partial cone and the 1,3-altemate conformations. Bromocalix[4]arene methyl ether crystallizes in the triclinic space groupPI witha = 12.283(7),b = 17.658(9),c = 18.118(6) Å, = 90.25(6), = 105.95(4), = 105.11(6)°, andD c = 1.68 g cm–3 forZ = 4. Refinement based on 3028 observed reflections led toR = 0.083. The unit cell also contains four CHCl3 molecules which exist pairwise enclathrated by six calixarenes. The partial cone conformation of the bromocalixarene is identical to that of ethylthiocalix[4]arene methyl ether.  相似文献

The usage of calix[n]arenes as ancillary poly(phenolate) ligands is a rapidly developing area in coordination chemistry. This article focuses on the synthesis, structure and reactivity of calix[4]arene‐ and calix[4]arene ether‐stabilized imido complexes of group 4 — 6 transition metals as well as on the comparison of calix[4]arene dialkyl ethers in particular with other widely employed related ligand systems such as salenes, porphyrins and tetraazaannulenes. Contrary to these nitrogen containing systems, it is much easier to control the charge of the ligand system through the degree of alkylation of the calixarene's lower rim without a major change in the geometry of the resulting metal complex. This could lead to isoelectronic and structurally closely related transition metal complex fragments for metals in neighboring groups of the periodic table or for metals in different oxidation states. The “intrinsic” reactivity of metal imido linkages might therefore be explored using calix[4]arenes and calix[4]arene ethers and first results are summarized in this research report.  相似文献

Potentiometric ion sensors have been prepared by galvanostatic electrosynthesis of the conducting polymer poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) doped with p-sulfonated calix[4]arene (C[4]S) and p-methylsulfonated calix[4]resorcarenes (Rn[4]S) with alkyl substituents of different chain length (R1=CH3; R2=C2H5; R3=C6H13). The bowl-shape of these doping ions makes them suitable as ionic recognition sites, and their bulky character is expected to prevent them from leaching out of the conducting polymer membrane. For comparison, sensors based on PEDOT doped with poly(styrene sulfonate) (PSS) and poly(vinyl sulfonate) (PVS) were also constructed. The resulting GC/PEDOT electrodes were conditioned in 0.01 mol L–1 AgNO3 and their performance as Ag+ ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) studied. Results reveal that selectivity and lifetime of the electrodes is affected by the doping anion structure, although all electrodes show selectivity towards Ag+ ions. Interaction of Ag+ with sulfur atoms present in the conducting polymer backbone is considered to be the main reason for this behavior. A second set of electrodes was constructed and conditioned in 0.1 mol L–1 KCl. These electrodes were tested in chloride solutions of quaternary ammonium cations, showing that C[4]S and R2[4]S exhibit significant sensitivity towards pyridinium.Dedicated to Professor György Horányi on the occasion of his 70th birthday in recognition of his outstanding contributions to electrochemistry  相似文献

Fluorogenic tert-butylcalix[4]arenes bearing two pyrene pendant groups at the lower rim were synthesized. Based on ratiometric changes of monomer and excimer emissions, the pyrene amine derivative of calix[4]arene has been found to act as a selective sensor for Pb2+ and Cu2+ ions, respectively, due to a conformational change upon chelation of these ions.  相似文献

New di- (2) and tetracarboxylate ligands (4) were prepared on a sulfonylcalix[4]arene platform by O-alkylation of thiacalix[4]arene with ethyl bromoacetate, followed by hydrolysis of the ester function and oxidation of the sulfide bridges. The sulfonyl-based ligands 2 and 4 formed luminescent 1:1 complexes with terbium(III) ion having higher luminescent quantum yield (Φ = 0.291 and 0.287, respectively) than 1:1 complexes of the corresponding thiacalix[4]arene-based di- (1) and tetracarboxylate ligands (3) (Φ = 0.038 and 0.003, respectively), implying higher efficiency of sulfonyl ligands (2 and 4) than those of thia ligands (1 and 3) in the energy transfer process.  相似文献

Abstract

A new series of water-compatible proline catalysts (4–6) derived from calixarene bearing a hydrophobic nature have been synthesised. It was found that the compound 4 was a highly efficient organocatalyst for aldol reactions occurred in the water. Under optimised reaction conditions, high yields (up to 82%), good enantioselectivities (ee up to 81%) and high diastereoselectivities (dr up to 91:9) were obtained.  相似文献

We first make use of aminolysis of calix[4]arene esters to synthesize calix[4]arene amides. When the two ethyl esters of the calix[4]arene esters are aminolysized, the 1, 3-amide derivative is formed selectively. The crystal structures of the calix-[4]arene with two butyl amide (3b) and four butyl amide moieties (4b) were determined. The intermolecular hydrogen bonds make 4b form two-dimensional net work insolid state. The 1H NMR spectra prove that 3b is of a pinched cone conformation, while 4b and tetraheptylamide-calix[4]arene (6b) take fast interconversion between two C2v isomers in solution and appear an apparent cone conformation at room temperature. As decreasing temperature, the interconversion rate decreases gradually and, finally, the interconversion process is frozen at Tc = -10℃, which makes both conformations of 4b and 6b the pinched cone structures. The hydrogen bond improves the interconversion barrier, and the large different values of the potential barrier between 6b and 4b (or 6b) may  相似文献
