Boundary conditions for multidimensional scalar conservation laws are obtained in the context of hydrodynamic limits from a kinetic point of view. The initial boundary value kinetic problem is well posed since inward and outward characteristics of the domain can be distinguished. The convergence of the first momentum of the distribution function to an entropy solution of the conservation law is established. Boundary conditions are obtained. The equivalence with the Bardos, Leroux, and Nedelec conditions is studied.  相似文献

We investigate a relativistic self-interacting gas in the field of an external pp gravitational wave. Based on symmetry considerations we ask for those forces which are able to compensate the imprint of the gravitational wave on the macroscopic 4-acceleration of the gaseous fluid. We establish an exactly solvable toy model according to which the stationary states which characterize such a situation have negative entropy production and are accompanied by instabilities of the microscopic particle motion. These features are similar to those which one encounters in phenomena of self-organization in many-particle systems.  相似文献

A kinetic equation is derived for the two-time phase space correlation function in a dilute classical electron gas in equilibrium. The derivation is based on a density expansion of the correlation function and the resummation of the most divergent terms in each order in the density. It is formally analogous to the ring summation used in the kinetic theory of neutral fluids. The kinetic equation obtained is consistent to first order in the plasma parameter and is the generalization of the linearized Balescu-Guersey-Lenard operator to describe spatially inhomogeneous equilibrium fluctuations. The importance of consistently treating static correlations when deriving a kinetic equation for an electron gas is stressed. A systematic derivation as described here is needed for a further generalization to a kinetic equation that includes mode-coupling effects. This will be presented in a future paper.  相似文献

We consider a region of Minkowski spacetime bounded either by one or by two parallel, infinitely extended plates orthogonal to a spatial direction and a real Klein-Gordon field satisfying Dirichlet boundary conditions. We quantize these two systems within the algebraic approach to quantum field theory using the so-called functional formalism. As a first step we construct a suitable unital ?-algebra of observables whose generating functionals are characterized by a labelling space which is at the same time optimal and separating and fulfils the F-locality property. Subsequently we give a definition for these systems of Hadamard states and we investigate explicit examples. In the case of a single plate, it turns out that one can build algebraic states via a pull-back of those on the whole Minkowski spacetime, moreover inheriting from them the Hadamard property. When we consider instead two plates, algebraic states can be put in correspondence with those on flat spacetime via the so-called method of images, which we translate to the algebraic setting. For a massless scalar field we show that this procedure works perfectly for a large class of quasi-free states including the Poincaré vacuum and KMS states. Eventually Wick polynomials are introduced. Contrary to the Minkowski case, the extended algebras, built in globally hyperbolic subregions can be collected in a global counterpart only after a suitable deformation which is expressed locally in terms of a *-isomorphism. As a last step, we construct explicitly the two-point function and the regularized energy density, showing, moreover, that the outcome is consistent with the standard results of the Casimir effect.  相似文献

从修正的BGK-Blotzmann模型方程出发,引入离散速度坐标技术对气体分子速度分量进行离散降维,基于非定常时间分裂数值计算方法和无波动、无自由参数的NND耗散差分格式,发展直接求解气体分子速度分布函数的气体运动论有限差分数值格式,提出了一套能有效模拟各流域三维绕流问题的气体运动论统一算法,在分析研究气体运动论数值算法内在并行度的基础上,开展各流域三维绕流问题统一算法的HPF(高性能FORTRAN)并行化程度设计,建立一套能有效模拟各流域复杂外形体绕流的HPF并行算法软件,并进行了不同Knudsen(克努森)数下三维球体绕流及类“神舟号”返回舱外形体绕流的初步数值实验,将计算结果与过渡区有关实验数据及各流域气体绕流现象进行比较分析,证实了发展的气体运动论HPF并行算法在求解稀薄流到连续流不同流域复杂绕流问题方面的可行性。  相似文献

Kinetic field theory (KFT) is a statistical field theory for an ensemble of classical point particles in or out of equilibrium. Its application to cosmological structure formation is reviewed. Beginning with the construction of a generating functional, it is described in detail how the theory needs to be adapted to an expanding spatial background and the homogeneous and isotropic, correlated initial conditions for cosmic structures. Based on the generating functional, three approaches are developed to nonlinear cosmic structures, which rest either on expanding an interaction operator, averaging the interaction term, or resumming perturbation terms. An analytic, parameter‐free equation for the nonlinear cosmic power spectrum is presented. It is explained how density profiles of bound structures and velocity power spectra can be derived from the theory. It is clarified how KFT relates to the BBGKY hierarchy. Kinetic field theory is then applied to fluids, reformulating KFT in terms of macroscopic quantities. The resulting resummation scheme is used to describe mixtures of gas and dark matter. Finally, it is discussed how KFT can be combined with modified theories of gravity. As an example for a noncosmological application, results are shown on the spatial correlation function of cold Rydberg atoms derived from KFT.  相似文献

本文采用非平衡态分子动力学模拟方法,研究了固-液界面体系中的热整流现象。系统的两端为固体,而流体处于中间夹层,两端固-液界面的势能参数不同。模拟计算结果表明,此系统实现热整流的原因是左右两端固体壁面对流体分子吸附特性的不对称性。基于气体运动论的分析表明,高低温固体壁面所吸附流体分子数、温度协调系数和系统压强在正反向传热过程中均存在一定差异,从而形成了热整流效应;并且两端固-液界面差异性越大,热整流现象越明显。  相似文献

The three-factor kinetic equation of catalyst deactivation was obtained in terms of apparent kinetic parameters. The three factors correspond to the main cycle with a linear, detailed mechanism regarding the catalytic intermediates, a cycle of reversible deactivation, and a stage of irreversible deactivation (aging), respectively. The rate of the main cycle is obtained for the fresh catalyst under a quasi-steady-state assumption. The phenomena of reversible and irreversible deactivation are presented as special separate factors (hierarchical separation). In this case, the reversible deactivation factor is a function of the kinetic apparent parameters of the reversible deactivation and of those of the main cycle. The irreversible deactivation factor is a function of the apparent kinetic parameters of the main cycle, of the reversible deactivation, and of the irreversible deactivation. The conditions of such separability are found. The obtained equation is applied successfully to describe the literature data on the reversible catalyst deactivation processes in the dehydration of acetaldehyde over TiO2 anatase and in crotonaldehyde hydrogenation on supported metal catalysts.  相似文献

We propose a catalysis-select migration driven evolution model of two-species(A-and B-species) aggregates,where one unit of species A migrates to species B under the catalysts of species C,while under the catalysts of species D the reaction will become one unit of species B migrating to species A.Meanwhile the catalyst aggregates of species C perform self-coagulation,as do the species D aggregates.We study this catalysis-select migration driven kinetic aggregation phenomena using the generalized Smoluchowski rate equation approach with C species catalysis-select migration rate kernel K(k;i,j) = Kkij and D species catalysis-select migration rate kernel J(k;i,j) = Jkij.The kinetic evolution behaviour is found to be dominated by the competition between the catalysis-select immigration and emigration,in which the competition is between JD0 and KC0(D0 and C0 are the initial numbers of the monomers of species D and C,respectively).When JD0 KC0 > 0,the aggregate size distribution of species A satisfies the conventional scaling form and that of species B satisfies a modified scaling form.And in the case of JD0 KC0 < 0,species A and B exchange their aggregate size distributions as in the above JD0 KC0 > 0 case.  相似文献

This paper establishes a theoretical foundation for the Consistent Boltzmann Algorithm (CBA) by deriving the limiting kinetic equation. The formulation is similar to the proof by one of the authors that the Boltzmann equation is the limiting kinetic equation for Direct Simulation Monte Carlo [W. Wagner, J. Statist. Phys. 66:1011 (1992)]. For a simplified model distilled from CBA, the limiting equation is solved numerically, and very good agreement with the predictions of the theory is found.  相似文献

将气体动理学格式(GKS)拓展到模拟多孔介质内的低速渗流,并检验在孔隙尺度上模拟不可压缩低速流动的可行性与有效性.结果表明:GKS具有二阶空间精度,能够较精确地计算多孔介质的渗透率;相比于单松弛格子玻尔兹曼方法,GKS能够精确实现壁面无滑移边界条件,从而正确反映渗透率与黏性无关的特性;对于Berea砂岩切片结构中的复杂流动,模拟结果与实验吻合较好,能较精确地计算渗透率.给出GKS模拟达西渗流的马赫数选取准则,为研究多孔介质流动提供新的工具.  相似文献

We construct perturbative quantum gravity in a generally covariant way. In particular our construction is background independent. It is based on the locally covariant approach to quantum field theory and the renormalized Batalin–Vilkovisky formalism. We do not touch the problem of nonrenormalizability and interpret the theory as an effective theory at large length scales.  相似文献

A model kinetic equation is solved exactly for a special stationary state describing nonlinear Couette flow in a low density system of inelastic spheres. The hydrodynamic fields, heat and momentum fluxes, and the phase space distribution function are determined explicitly. The results apply for conditions such that viscous heating dominates collisional cooling, including large gradients far from the reference homogeneous cooling state. Explicit expressions for the generalized transport coefficients (e.g., viscosity and thermal conductivity) are obtained as nonlinear functions of the coefficient of normal restitution and the shear rate. These exact results for the model kinetic equation are also shown to be good approximations to the corresponding state for the Boltzmann equation via comparison with direct Monte Carlo simulation for the latter.  相似文献

We examine whether a charge supported statically in a gravitational field radiates, and find the answer to this question to be positive. Based on our earlier results we find that the important condition for the creation of radiation is the existence of a relative acceleration between the charge and its electric field, where such an acceleration causes the curving of the electric field and the creation of a stress force due to this curvature. This stress force is the reaction force, which creates the radiation. Later we find that this condition do exist for a charge supported statically in a gravitational field, where the electric field of the charge falls in the gravitational field, it curves, and the stress force raised in this curved field, creates electromagnetic radiation.  相似文献

Cross-section for excitation of helium from ground state to 2s singlet state is computed by field theoretic methods. Comparisons are made with experimental and Born cross-sections.
