We study the CP-averaged branching fractions and the CP-violating asymmetries in the pure annihilation decays ofB _s~0→a_0~+a _0~-andB _d~0→K_0~(*+)K_0~(*-),where a_0[K_0~*]denotes the scalar a_0(980) and a_0(1450)[K_0~*(800)(ork)and K_0~*(1430)],with the perturbative QCD factorization approach under the assumption of two-quark structure for the a_0and K_0~*states.The numerical results show that the branching ratios of theB _d~0→K_0~(*+)K_0~(*-)decays are in the order of 10~(-6),while the decay rates of theB_s~0→a_0~+a _0~-modes are in the order of 10~(-5).In light of the measured modes with the same quark components in the pseudoscalar sector, namely,B _d~0→K~+K~-and B_s~0→p p~(+-),the predictions for the considered decay modes in this work are expected to be measured at the Large Hadron Collider beauty and/or Belle-Ⅱ experiments in the (near) future.Meanwhile,it is of great interest to find that the twist-3 distribution amplitudes φ~S and φ~T with inclusion of the Gegenbauer polynomials for the scalar a_0(1450) and K_0~*(1430)states in scenario2 contribute slightly to the branching ratios while significantly to the CP violations in the B_d~0→K_0~*(14 30)~+K_0*(14 30)~-and B_s~0→a_0(1450)~+a_0(1450)~-decays,which indicates that, compared to the asymptotic φ~Sand φ~T,these Gegenbauer polynomials could change the strong phases evidently in these pure annihilation decay channels. These predictions await for the future confirmation experimentally, which could further provide useful information to help explore the inner structure of the scalars and shed light on the annihilation decay mechanism.  相似文献

We investigate the physics potential of the annihilation decays in the standard model and beyond. In a naive factorization approach, the branching ratios are estimated to be and . In the framework of QCD factorization, we compute the non-factorizable corrections and get , . Future measurements of these decays would be useful for testing the factorization frameworks. The smallness of these decays in the SM makes them sensitive probes of new physics. As an example, we will consider the possible admixture of the (V + A) charge current to the standard (V-A) current. This admixture will give a significant contribution to the decays.Received: 29 August 2003, Revised: 17 January 2004, Published online: 19 March 2004Corresponding author: Y.D. Yang  相似文献

In the X (3872) decay, both of the ${{J/{\psi\pi\pi}}}$ and ${{J/{\psi\pi\pi\pi}}}$ branching fractions are observed experimentally, and their sizes are comparable to each other. In order to clarify the mechanism to cause such a large isospin violation, we investigate X(3872) employing a model of coupled-channel two-meson scattering with a ${{\rm c}\bar{c}}$ core. The two-meson states consist of ${{D^0\overline{D}^{*0}}}$ , D + D *?, ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ , and ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ . The effects of the ρ and ω meson width are also taken into account. We calculate the transfer strength from the ${{{\rm c}\bar{c}}}$ core to the final two-meson states. It is found that very narrow ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ and ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ peaks appear very close to the ${{D^0\overline{D}^{*0}}}$ threshold for a wide range of variation in the parameter sets. The size of the ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ peak is almost the same as that of ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ , which is consistent with the experiments. The large width of the ρ meson makes the originally small isospin violation by about five times larger.  相似文献

We explore CP violation in decay processes in the presence of the anomalous right-handed and couplings. The complex anomalous top coupling can be a source of new CP violation and may lead to a deviation of the observed weak phase in decays, which accounts for the present disagreement of the observed between and decays. Direct CP violation is also predicted. Received: 27 November 2002, Revised: 28 March 2003, Published online: 2 June 2003  相似文献

To clarify the marked difference between BES and CLEO measurements on the non-DD[over ] decays of the psi(3770), a 1(3)D1-dominated charmonium, we calculate the annihilation decay of psi(3770) in nonrelativistic QCD. By introducing the color-octet contributions, the results are free from infrared divergences. The color-octet matrix elements are estimated by solving the evolution equations. The S-D mixing effect is found to be very small. With m_{c}=1.5+/-0.1 GeV, our result is Gamma(psi(3770)-->light hadrons)=467(+338);(-187) keV. For mc=1.4 GeV, together with the observed hadronic transitions and E1 transitions, the non-DD[over ] decay branching ratio of psi(3770) could reach about 5%. Our results do not favor the results of either the BES or the CLEO Collaborations, and further experimental tests are urged.  相似文献

Using a 281 pb{-1} data sample collected at the psi(3770) with the CLEO-c detector, we present the first absolute branching fraction measurement of the decay D0-->K(-)pi(+)pi(-)e(+)nu(e) at a statistical significance of about 4.0 standard deviations. We find 10 candidates consistent with the decay D0-->K(-)pi(+)pi(-)e(+)nu(e). The probability that a background fluctuation accounts for this signal is less than 4.1 x 10{-5}. We find B(D0-->K(-)pi(+)pi(-)e(+)nu(e)) = [2.8{-1.1}{+1.4}(stat)+/-0.3(syst)]x10{-4}. By restricting the invariant mass of the hadronic system to be consistent with K1(1270), we obtain the product of branching fractions B(D{0}-->K{1}{-}(1270)e{+}nu{e})xB(K1-(1270)-->K{-}pi{+}pi{-})=[2.5{-1.0}{+1.3}(stat)+/-0.2(syst)]x10{-4}. Using B(K1-(1270)-->K{-}pi{+}pi{-})=(33+/-3)%, we obtain B(D{0}-->K{1}{-}(1270)e{+}nu{e})=[7.6{-3.0}{+4.1}(stat)+/-0.6(syst)+/-0.7]x10{-4}. The last error accounts for the uncertainties in the measured K1-(1270)-->K{-}pi{+}pi{-} branching fractions.  相似文献

The decay of ^72Ga has been investigated by means of γ-ray spectroscopy. The 72Ga nuclei were produced through the ^71Ga(n, γ)^72Ga reaction. The Compton-suppressed spectrometer and high-purity Ge detectors have been used singly and in coincidence, separately, to study γ-rays in the β-decay of ^72Ga to ^72Ge. Ninety-three events of γ-rays were reported, of which 7 were observed for the first time. A decay scheme of ^72Ga including 4 new levels is proposed which accommodates 87 of these transitions. Spins and parities for new levels are proposed from calculated logft values, modes on the observed decay, and some nuclear reaction experimental results.  相似文献

The density functional theory (B3LYP, B3P86) and the quadratic configuration-interaction method including single and double substitutions (QCISD(T), QCISD) presented in Gaussian03 program package are employed to calculate the equilibrium internuclear distance $R_{\rm e}$, the dissociation energy $D_{\rm e }$ and the harmonic frequency $\omega _{\rm e}$ for the $X{}^{1}\Sigma^{ + }_{\rm g}$ state of sodium dimer in a number of basis sets. The conclusion is gained that the best $R_{\rm e}$, $D_{\rm e}$ and $\omega _{\rm e}$ results can be attained at the QCISD/6-311G(3df,3pd) level of theory. The potential energy curve at this level of theory for this state is obtained over a wide internuclear separation range from 0.16 to 2.0~nm and is fitted to the analytic Murrell--Sorbie function. The spectroscopic parameters $D_{\rm e}$, $D_{0}$, $R_{\rm e}$, $\omega _{\rm e}$, $\omega _{\rm e}\chi _{\rm e}$, $\alpha _{\rm e}$ and $B_{\rm e}$ are calculated to be 0.7219~eV, 0.7135~eV, 0.31813~nm, 151.63~cm$^{ - 1}$, 0.7288~cm$^{ - 1}$, 0.000729~cm$^{ - 1}$ and 0.1449~cm$^{ - 1}$, respectively, which are in good agreement with the measurements. With the potential obtained at the QCISD/6-311G(3df,3pd) level of theory, a total of 63 vibrational states is found when $J=0$ by solving the radial Schr\"{o}dinger equation of nuclear motion. The vibrational level, corresponding classical turning point and inertial rotation constant are computed for each vibrational state. The centrifugal distortion constants ($D_{\upsilon }\, H_{\upsilon }$, $L_{\upsilon }$, $M_{\upsilon }$, $N_{\upsilon }$ and $O_{\upsilon })$ are reported for the first time for the first 31 vibrational states when $J=0$.  相似文献

We study the entanglement dynamics of an anisotropic two-qubit Heisenberg XYZ system in the presence of intrinsic decoherence. The usefulness of such a system for performance of the quantum teleportation protocol T0\mathcal{T}_0 and entanglement teleportation protocol T1\mathcal{T}_1 is also investigated. The results depend on the initial conditions and the parameters of the system. The roles of system parameters such as the inhomogeneity of the magnetic field b and the spin-orbit interaction parameter D, in entanglement dynamics and fidelity of teleportation, are studied for both product and maximally entangled initial states of the resource. We show that for the product and maximally entangled initial states, increasing D amplifies the effects of dephasing and hence decreases the asymptotic entanglement and fidelity of the teleportation. For a product initial state and specific interval of the magnetic field B, the asymptotic entanglement and hence the fidelity of teleportation can be improved by increasing B. The XY and XYZ Heisenberg systems provide a minimal resource entanglement, required for realizing efficient teleportation. Also, in the absence of the magnetic field, the degree of entanglement is preserved for the maximally entangled initial states $\left| {\psi \left. {\left( 0 \right)} \right\rangle = \frac{1} {{\sqrt 2 }}\left( {\left| {\left. {00} \right\rangle \pm } \right|\left. {11} \right\rangle } \right)} \right.$\left| {\psi \left. {\left( 0 \right)} \right\rangle = \frac{1} {{\sqrt 2 }}\left( {\left| {\left. {00} \right\rangle \pm } \right|\left. {11} \right\rangle } \right)} \right.. The same is true for the maximally entangled initial states $\left| {\psi \left. {\left( 0 \right)} \right\rangle = \frac{1} {{\sqrt 2 }}\left( {\left| {\left. {01} \right\rangle \pm } \right|\left. {10} \right\rangle } \right)} \right.$\left| {\psi \left. {\left( 0 \right)} \right\rangle = \frac{1} {{\sqrt 2 }}\left( {\left| {\left. {01} \right\rangle \pm } \right|\left. {10} \right\rangle } \right)} \right., in the absence of spin-orbit interaction D and the inhomogeneity parameter b. Therefore, it is possible to perform quantum teleportation protocol T0\mathcal{T}_0 and entanglement teleportation T1\mathcal{T}_1, with perfect quality, by choosing a proper set of parameters and employing one of these maximally entangled robust states as the initial state of the resource.  相似文献

We study the potential observation at the LHC of CP-violating effects in stop production and subsequent cascade decays, , , , within the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model. We study T-odd asymmetries based on triple products between the different decay products. There may be a large CP asymmetry at the parton level, but there is a significant dilution at the hadronic level after integrating over the parton distribution functions. Consequently, even for scenarios where large CP intrinsic asymmetries are expected, the measurable asymmetry is rather small. High luminosity and precise measurements of masses, branching ratios and CP asymmetries may enable measurements of the CP-violating parameters in cascade decays at the LHC.  相似文献

Particle physics has become an interesting testing ground for fundamental questions of quantum mechanics (QM). The massive meson-antimeson systems are specially suitable as they offer a unique laboratory to test various aspects of particle physics ( violation, violation, ...) as well to test the foundations of QM (local realistic theories versus QM, Bell inequalities, decoherence effects, quantum marking and erasure concepts, ...). We focus here on a surprising connection between the violation of a symmetry in particle physics –the symmetry ( =charge conjugation, =parity)– and non-locality. This is achieved via Bell inequalities which discriminate between local realistic theories and QM. Further we present a decoherence model which can be tested by accelerator experiments at the DAΦNE (Italy) and at the KEK-B machine (Japan). We show that there is a simple connection between a decoherence parameter and different measures of entanglement, i.e., entanglement of formation and concurrence. In this way the very basic mathematical and theoretical concepts about entanglement can be confronted directly with experiments. Similar decoherence models can also be tested for entangled photon systems and single neutrons in an interferometer.  相似文献

For a homogeneous quantum network of N subsystems with n levels each we consider separable generalized Werner states. A generalized Werner state is defined as a mixture of the totally mixed state and an arbitrary pure state : with a mixture coefficient . For this density operator to be separable, will have an upper bound . Below this bound one should alternatively be able to reproduce by a mixture of entirely separable input-states. For this purpose we introduce a set of modules, each contributing elementary coherence properties with respect to a generalized coherence vector. Based on these there exists a general step-by-step mixing process for any . For being a cat-state it is possible to define an optimal process, which produces states right up to the separability boundary ( ).Received: 3 December 2002, Published online: 29 July 2003PACS: 03.65.Ud Entanglement and quantum nonlocality (e.g. EPR paradox, Bells inequalities, GHZ states, etc.) - 03.67.-a Quantum information - 03.65.-w Quantum mechanics  相似文献

A very long lifetime exciton emission with non-single exponential decay characteristics has been reported for single InA-s/GaAs quantum dot(QD) samples,in which there exists a long-lived metastable state in the wetting layer(WL)through radiative field coupling between the exciton emissions in the WL and the dipole field of metal islands. In this article we have proposed a new three-level model to simulate the exciton emission decay curve. In this model, assuming that the excitons in a metastable state will diffuse and be trapped by QDs,and then emit fluorescence in QDs,a stretchedlike exponential decay formula is derived as I(t)=At~(β-1)e~(-(rt)β),which can describe well the long lifetime decay curve with an analytical expression of average lifetime  相似文献

The interface state of hydrogen-terminated(C–H) diamond metal–oxide–semiconductor field-effect transistor(MOSFET) is critical for device performance. In this paper, we investigate the fixed charges and interface trap states in C–H diamond MOSFETs by using different gate dielectric processes. The devices use Al_2O_3 as gate dielectrics that are deposited via atomic layer deposition(ALD) at 80℃ and 300℃, respectively, and their C–V and I–V characteristics are comparatively investigated. Mott–Schottky plots(1/C~2–VG) suggest that positive and negative fixed charges with low density of about 1011 cm~(-2) are located in the 80-℃-and 300-℃ deposition Al_2O_3 films, respectively. The analyses of direct current(DC)/pulsed I–V and frequency-dependent conductance show that the shallow interface traps(0.46 e V–0.52 e V and0.53 e V–0.56 e V above the valence band of diamond for the 80-℃ and 300-℃ deposition conditions, respectively) with distinct density(7.8 × 10~(13) e V~(-1)·cm~(-2)–8.5 × 10~(13) e V-1·cm~(-2) and 2.2 × 1013 e V~(-1)·cm~(-2)–5.1 × 10~(13) e V~(-1)·cm~(-2) for the80-℃-and 300-℃-deposition conditions, respectively) are present at the Al_2O_3/C–H diamond interface. Dynamic pulsed I–V and capacitance dispersion results indicate that the ALD Al_2O_3 technique with 300-℃ deposition temperature has higher stability for C–H diamond MOSFETs.  相似文献

We report the first observation of the decay B+-->psi(3770)K+ where the psi(3770) is reconstructed in the D0(-)D(0) and D+D- decay channels. The obtained branching fraction is B(B+-->psi(3770)K+)=(0.48+/-0.11+/-0.07)x10(-3). We have measured the branching fraction for the decay B+-->D0(-)D0K+ to be (1.17+/-0.21+/-0.15)x10(-3) and set a 90% confidence level upper limit of 0.90 x 10(-3) for the decay B+-->D+D-K+. We also present the results of a search for possible decays to D(-)D and D0(-)D(0)pi(0) of the recently observed X(3872) particle. The analysis is based on 88 fb(-1) of data collected at the Upsilon(4S) resonance by the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e(+)e(-) collider.  相似文献

The magnetism and magnetocaloric effect(MCE) of rare-earth-based tungstate compounds R_3 BWO_9(R=Gd,Dy,Ho) have been studied by magnetic susceptibility, isothermal magnetization, and specific heat measurements. No obvious long-range magnetic ordering can be found down to 2 K.The Curie-Weiss fitting and magnetic susceptibilities under different applied fields reveal the existence of weak short-range antiferromagnetic couplings at low temperature in these systems. The calculations of isothermal magnetization exhibit a giant MCE with the maximum changes of magnetic entropy being 54.80 J/kg-K at 2 K for Gd_3 BWO_9,28.5 J/kg-K at 6 K for Dy_3 BWO_9,and 29.76 J/kg-K at 4 K for Ho_3 BWO_9,respectively,under a field change of 0-7 T.Especially for Gd_3 BWO_9,the maximum value of magnetic entropy change(-ΔS_M~(max)) and adiabatic temperature change(-ΔT_(ad)~(max)) are 36.75 J/kg·K and 5.56 K for a low field change of 0-3 T,indicating a promising application for low temperature magnetic refrigeration.  相似文献
