Reactions of the diphosphine 1,3-C6H4(CH2PH2)2 and fluorous alkenes H2C=CHR(fn)(R(fn)=(CF2)(n-1)CF3; n = 6, 8) at 75 degrees C in the presence of AIBN give the title ligands 1,3-C6H4(CH2P(CH2CH2R(fn))2)2(3-R(fn)) and byproducts 1,3-C6H4(CH3)(CH2P(CH2CH2R(fn))2)(4-R(fn)) in 1 : 3 to 1 : 5 ratios. Workups give -R(fn) in 4--17% yields. Similar results are obtained photochemically. Reaction of 1,3-C6H4(CH2Br)2 and HP(CH2CH2R(f8))2 (5) at 80 degrees C (neat, 1 : 2 mol ratio) gives instead of simple substitution the metacyclophane [1,3-C6H4(CH2P(CH2CH2R(f8))2 CH2-1,3-C(6)H(4)CH(2)P[lower bond 1 end](CH2CH2R(f8))2C[upper bond 1 end]H2](2+)2Br-, which upon treatment with LiAlH(4) yields 3-R(f8)(20%), 4-R(f8), and other products. Efforts to better access 3-R(f8), either by altering stoichiometry or using various combinations of the phosphine borane (H3B)PH(CH2CH2R(f8))2 and base, are unsuccessful. Reactions of 3-R(fn) with Pd(O2CCF3)2 and [IrCl(COE)2]2(COE=cyclooctene) give the palladium and iridium pincer complexes (2,6,1-C6H3(CH2 P(CH2CH2R(fn))(2)(2)Pd(O2CCF3)(10-R(fn); 80-90%) and (2,6,1-C6H3(CH2P(CH2CH2R(f8))2)2)Ir(Cl)(H)(11-R(f8); 29%), which exhibit CF3C6F(11)/toluene partition coefficients of >96 : <4. The crystal structure of 10-R(f8) shows CH2CH2R(f8) groups with all-anti conformations that extend in parallel above and below the palladium square plane to create fluorous lattice domains. NMR monitoring shows a precursor to 11-R(f8) that is believed to be a COE adduct.  相似文献

Iodinations of the ortho, meta, and para fluorous arenes (R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(2)C(6)H(4) (R(f8)=(CF(2))(7)CF(3)) with I(2)/H(5)IO(6) in AcOH/H(2)SO(4)/H(2)O give 3,4-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(2)C(6)H(3)I (5) and the analogous 2,4- (6) and 2,5- (7) isomers, respectively. Spectroscopic yields are >90 %, but 5 and 7 must be separated by chromatography from by-products (yields isolated: 70 %, 97 %, 61 %). Reaction of 1,3,5-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(3)C(6)H(3) with PhI(OAc)(2)/I(2) gives 2,4,6-(R(f8)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))(3)C(6)H(2)I (8) on multigram scales in 97 % yield. The CF(3)C(6)F(11)/toluene partition coefficients of 5-8 (24 degrees C: 69.5:30.5 (5), 74.7:25.3 (6), 73.9:26.1 (7), 98.0:2.0 (8)) are lower than those of the precursors, but CF(3)C(6)F(11)/MeOH gives higher values (97.0:3.0 (5), 98.6:1.4 (6), 98.0:2.0 (7), >99.3:<0.3 (8)). Reactions of 5-8 with excess NaBO(3) in AcOH yield the corresponding ArI(OAc)(2) species 9-12 (9, 85 % as a 90:10 9/5 mixture; 10, 97 %; 11, 95 %; 12, 93 % as a 95:5 12/8 mixture). These rapidly oxidize 1,4-hydroquinones in MeOH. Subsequent additions of CF(3)C(6)F(11) give liquid biphase systems. Solvent removal from the CF(3)C(6)F(11) phases gives 5-8 in >99-98 % yields, and solvent removal from the MeOH phases gives the quinone products, normally in >99-95 % yields. The recovered compounds 5-8 are easily reoxidized to 9-12 and used again.  相似文献

New catalysts for the isospecific polymerization of 1-hexene based on cationic zirconium complexes incorporating the tetradentate fluorous dialkoxy-diamino ligands [OC(CF(3))(2)CH(2)N(Me)(CH(2))(2)N(Me)CH(2)C(CF(3))(2)O](2-) [(ON(2)NO)(2-)] and [OC(CF(3))(2)CH(2)N(Me)(1R,2R-C(6)H(10))N(Me)CH(2)C(CF(3))(2)O](2-) [(ON(Cy)NO)(2-)] have been developed. The chiral fluorous diamino-diol [(ON(Cy)NO)H(2), 2] was prepared by ring-opening of the fluorinated oxirane (CF(3))(2)COCH(2) with (R,R)-N,N'-dimethyl-1,2-cyclohexanediamine. Proligand 2 reacts cleanly with [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(4)] and [Ti(OiPr)(4)] precursors to give the corresponding dialkoxy complexes [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(2)(ON(Cy)NO)] (3) and [Ti(OiPr)(2)(ON(Cy)NO)] (4), respectively. An X-ray diffraction study revealed that 3 crystallizes as a 1:1 mixture of two diastereomers (Lambda-3 and Delta-3), both of which adopt a distorted octahedral structure with trans-O, cis-N, and cis-CH(2)Ph ligands. The two diastereomers Lambda-3 and Delta-3 adopt a C(2)-symmetric structure in toluene solution, as established by NMR spectroscopy. Cationic complexes [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(ON(2)NO)(THF)(n)](+) (n=0, anion=[B(C(6)F(5))(4)](-), 5; n=1, anion=[PhCH(2)B(C(6)F(5))(3)](-), 6) and [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(ON(Cy)NO)(THF)](+)[PhCH(2)B(C(6)F(5))(3)](-) (7) were generated from the neutral parent precursors [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(2)(ON(2)NO)] (H) and [Zr(CH(2)Ph)(2)(ON(Cy)NO)] (3), and their possible structures were determined on the basis of (1)H, (19)F, and (13)C NMR spectroscopy and DFT methods. The neutral zirconium complexes H and 3 (Lambda-3/Delta-3 mixture), when activated with B(C(6)F(5))(3) or [Ph(3)C](+)[B(C(6)F(5))(4)](-), catalyze the polymerization of 1-hexene with overall activities of up to 4500 kg PH mol Zr(-1) h(-1), to yield isotactic-enriched (up to 74 % mmmm) polymers with low-to-moderate molecular weights (M(w)=4800-47 200) and monodisperse molecular-weight distributions (M(w)/M(n)=1.17-1.79).  相似文献

The species Cy(2)PHC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2) reacts with Pt(PPh(3))(4) to yield the new product cis-(PPh(3))(2)PtH(Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2)) 1 via oxidative addition of the P-H bond of the phosphonium borate to Pt(0). The corresponding reaction with Pd(PPh(3))(4) affords the Pd analogue of 1, namely, cis-(PPh(3))(2)PdH(Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2)) 3; while modification of the phosphonium borate gave the salt [(PPh(3))(3)PtH][(tBu(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2))] 2. Alternatively initial deprotonation of the phosphonium borate gave [tBu(3)PH][Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2)] 4, [SIMesH][Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2)] 5 which reacted with NiCl(2)(DME) yielding [BaseH](2)[trans-Cl(2)Ni(Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2))(2)] (Base = tBu(3)P 6, SIMes 7) or with PdCl(2)(PhCN)(2) to give [BaseH](2)[trans-Cl(2)Pd(Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2))(2)] (Base = tBu(3)P 8, SIMes 9). While [C(10)H(6)N(2)(Me)(4)H][tBu(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2)] 10 was also prepared. A third strategy for formation of a metal complex of anionic phosphine-borate derivatives was demonstrated in the reaction of (COD)PtMe(2) with the neutral phosphine-borane Mes(2)PC(6)F(4)B(C(6)F(5))(2) affording (COD)PtMe(Mes(2)PC(6)F(4)BMe(C(6)F(5))(2)) 11. Extension of this reactivity to tBu(2)PH(CH(2))(4)OB(C(6)F(5))(3)) was demonstrated in the reaction with Pt(PPh(3))(4) which yielded cis-(PPh(3))(2)PtH(tBu(2)P(CH(2))(4)OB(C(6)F(5))(3)) 12, while the reaction of [SIMesH][tBu(2)P(CH(2))(4)OB(C(6)F(5))(3)] 13 with NiCl(2)(DME) and PdCl(2)(PhCN)(2) afforded the complexes [SIMesH](2)[trans-Cl(2)Ni(tBu(2)PC(4)H(8)OB(C(6)F(5))(3))(2)] 14 and [SIMesH](2)[trans-PdCl(2)(tBu(2)P(CH(2))(4)OB(C(6)F(5))(3))(2)] 15, respectively, analogous to those prepared with 4 and 5. Finally, the reaction of 7 and 13with [(p-cymene)RuCl(2)](2) proceeds to give the new orange products [SIMesH][(p-cymene)RuCl(2)(Cy(2)PC(6)F(4)BF(C(6)F(5))(2))] 16 and [SIMesH][(p-cymene)RuCl(2)(tBu(2)P(CH(2))(4)OB(C(6)F(5))(3))] 17, respectively. Crystal structures of 1, 6, 10, 11, 12, and 16 are reported.  相似文献

2-Hydroxymethyl-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (A) was reacted with (Me(3)Si)(2)NH and toluenesulfonyl chloride (TsCl) to give mainly CH(3)C(CH(2)OSiMe(3))(3) (1), and CH(3)C(CH(2)OTs)(3) (2), respectively. With allyl bromide, the products were CH(3)C(CH(2)OCH(2)CH[double bond]CH(2))(2)(CH(2)OH) (3) and CH(3)C(CH(2)OCH(2)CH[double bond]CH(2))(CH(2)OH)(2) x H(2)O (4). The reactions of 4 with perfluoroalkyl iodides (R(f)I) were catalyzed by Cu(I)Cl to form 2-methyl-2-polyfluoroalkenyloxymethyl-1,3-propanediols: (R(f)CH=CHCH(2)OCH(2))C(Me)(CH(2)OH)(2) [R(f) = C(4)F(9) (5), C(8)F(17) (6), and (CF(2)CF(2))(4)OCF(CF(3))(2) (7)]. Reduction of 5 and 6 with hydrogen gave two new 2-methyl-2-polyfluoroalkyloxymethyl-1,3-propanediols, 8 and 9. The sodium salt of 9 was reacted with allyl bromide or acetyl chloride to form (C(8)F(17)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2)OCH(2))C(Me)(CH(2)OX)(CH(2)OH)(2) [where X = CH(2)CH=CH(2) (10) or C(O)CH(3) (12)] and (C(8)F(17)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2)OCH(2))C(Me)(CH(2)OX)(2) [where X = CH(2)CH[double bond]CH(2) (11) or C(O)CH(3) (13)]. Reaction of tolenesulfonyl chloride with 7 gave the monotosylate, 14, as the sole product. With 4-trifluoromethylbenzyl bromide, the sodium salt of 4 gave (4-CF(3)C(6)H(4)CH(2)OCH(2))C(Me)(CH(2)CH[double bond]CH(2))(CH(2)OH) x H(2)O (15). The compounds were characterized by NMR ((1)H, (13)C, (19)F, (29)Si), GC-MS, and high-resolution MS or elemental analyses. UV evidence was obtained for partitioning of 9, 12, 14, and 15 between perfluorodecalin and n-octanol. The test compounds acted as surfactants by facilitating the solubility of phenol and Si(CH[double bond]CH(2))(4) in perfluorodecalin. The single-crystal X-ray structure of 8 was also obtained. It crystallized in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/c, and unit cell dimensions were a = 24.966(2) A (alpha = 90), b = 6.1371(6) A (beta = 100.730(2)), and c = 10.5669(10) A (gamma = 90).  相似文献

The reactions between [(eta5-C5H(5-x)Br(x))M(CO)3] (M = Re, Mn; x = 1, 3, 4, 5) and [IZn[(CH2)(n)R(f8)]] (n = 2, 3; R(f8) = (CF2)7CF3) in the presence of [Cl2PdL2] catalysts give the title complexes [[eta5-C5H(5-x)[(CH2)(n)R(f8)]x]M(CO)3]. In the case of x = 5, the major product is actually [[eta5-C5H[(CH2)(n)R(f8)]4]M(CO)3], in which one of the bromides has been substituted by hydride. Minor amounts of multiple hydride substitution products are formed, all of them readily separable on fluorous silica gel. Irradiation of the manganese complexes in CF3C6H5/MeOH/ether gives uncoordinated cyclopentadienes, which can be deprotonated and reattached to other metals. Partition coefficients have been measured (CF3C6F11/toluene): complexes with three or more ponytails are highly fluorophilic, with values of > 99.8: < 0.2. The IR [symbol: see text]CO bands have been used to probe the inductive effects of the ponytails at the metal centers.  相似文献

A variety of inter- and intramolecular dehydration was found in the reactions of [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)(mu-S(2))](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (1) with hydroxyl substituted alkenes and alkynes. Treatment of 1 with allyl alcohol gave a C(3)S(2) five-membered ring complex, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH(2)CH(2)CH(OCH(2)CH=CH(2))S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (2), via C-S bond formation after C-H bond activation and intermolecular dehydration. On the other hand, intramolecular dehydration was observed in the reaction of 1 with 3-buten-1-ol giving a C(4)S(2) six-membered ring complex, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2) [mu-SCH(2)CH=CHCH(2)S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (3). Complex 1 reacts with 2-propyn-1-ol or 2-butyn-1-ol to give homocoupling products, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCR=CHCH(OCH(2)C triple bond CR)S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (4: R = H, 5: R = CH(3)), via intermolecular dehydration. In the reaction with 2-propyn-1-ol, the intermediate complex having a hydroxyl group, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH=CHCH(OH)S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (6), was isolated, which further reacted with 2-propyn-1-ol and 2-butyn-1-ol to give 4 and a cross-coupling product, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH=CHCH(OCH(2)C triple bond CCH(3))S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (7), respectively. The reaction of 1 with diols, (HO)CHRC triple bond CCHR(OH), gave furyl complexes, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SSC=CROCR=CH]](CF(3)SO(3))(3) (8: R = H, 9: R = CH(3)) via intramolecular elimination of a H(2)O molecule and a H(+). Even though (HO)(H(3)C)(2)CC triple bond CC(CH(3))(2)(OH) does not have any propargylic C-H bond, it also reacts with 1 to give [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH(2)C(=CH(2))C(=C=C(CH(3))(2))]S](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (10). In addition, the reaction of 1 with (CH(3)O)(H(3)C)(2)CC triple bond CC(CH(3))(2)(OCH(3)) gives [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(2)][mu-S=C(C(CH(3))(2)OCH(3))C=CC(CH(3))CH(2)S][Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (11), in which one molecule of CH(3)OH is eliminated, and the S-S bond is cleaved.  相似文献

Treatment of [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)(mu-S(2))](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (1), which is prepared by the reaction of [[RuCl(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)](2)(mu-S(2))(mu-Cl)(2)] (2) with 4 equiv of AgCF(3)SO(3), with terminal alkenes such as 1-pentene, allyl ethyl ether, allyl phenyl ether, 1,4-hexadiene, and 3-methyl-1-butene, resulted in the formation of complexes carrying a C(3)S(2) five-membered ring, [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH(2)CH(2)CR(1)R(2)S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (3, R(1) = CH(2)CH(3), R(2) = H, 40%; 4, R(1) = OCH(2)CH(3), R(2) = H, 60%; 5, R(1) = OC(6)H(5), R(2) = H, 73%; 6, R(1) = CH=CHCH(3), R(2) = H, 48%; 7, R(1) = R(2) = CH(3), 40%). Reaction of 1 with methylenecycloalkanes was found to give several different types of products, depending on the ring size of the substrates. A trace of [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-SCH(CH(2)CH(2))CH(CH(3))S]](CF(3)SO(3))(4) (9) having a C(2)S(2) four-membered ring to bridge the two Ru atoms was obtained by the reaction of 1 with methylenecyclobutane, whereas the reaction with methylenecyclohexane gave [[Ru(P(OCH(3))(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(3)](2)[mu-S(CH(2)(C=CHCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)CH(2))S)](CF(3)SO(3))(3) (10) in 69% yield via C-S bond formation and elimination of a proton. Throughout these reactions with alkenes giving a variety of products, the activation of the allylic C-H bond is always the essential and initial key step.  相似文献

In a search for more hydrocarbon solvent soluble derivatives of the parent ligand, 2,6-[Ph(2)P(O)CH(2)](2)C(5)H(3)NO (1a), a series of new ligands, 2,6-[R(2)P(O)CH(2)](2)C(5)H(3)NO [R = Bz (1b); Tol (1c); Et (1d); Pr (1e); Bu (1f); Pn (1g); Hx (1h); Hp (1i); and Oct (1j)] and 2,6-[RR'P(O)CH(2)](2)C(5)H(3)NO [R = Ph, R' = Bz (2a); R = Ph, R' = Me (2b); R = Ph, R' = Hx (2c); R = Ph, R' = Oct (2d)], have been prepared by either Arbusov or Grignard substitutions on 2,6-bis(chloromethyl)pyridine followed by N-oxidation. The new ligands have been characterized by spectroscopic methods, and their coordination chemistry with selected lanthanide ions has been surveyed. Several 1:1 and 2:1 ligand/metal complexes have been isolated, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses for Nd(2a)(NO(3))(3), Er(2a)(NO(3))(3), Yb(1d)(NO(3))(3), and [Nd(1c)(2)](NO(3))(3) are described. The new structural data are discussed in relation to the structures of complexes formed by 1a.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Polyfluorinated quaternary ammonium cations, [CF(3)(CF(2))(7)(CH(2))(3)](3)CH(3)N(+) (R(F)N(+)), were synthesized and used as countercations for the [WZnM(2)(H(2)O)(2)(ZnW(9)O(34))(2)](12)(-) (M = Mn(II), Zn(II)) polyoxometalate. The (R(F)N(+))(12)[WZnM(2)(H(2)O)(2)(ZnW(9)O(34))(2)] compounds were fluorous biphasic catalysts for alcohol and alkenol oxidation, and alkene epoxidation with aqueous hydrogen peroxide. Reaction protocols with or without a fluorous solvent were tested. The catalytic activity and selectivity was affected by both the hydrophobicity of the solvent and the substrate.  相似文献

The secondary vinylphosphines Ar(F)P(H)C(R)[double bond]CH(2) [2a, Ar(F) = 2,6-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3), R = CH(3); 2b, Ar(F) = 2,6-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3), R = C(6)H(5); 2c, Ar(F) = 2,4,6-(CF(3))(3)C(6)H(2), R = CH(3)] were prepared by treating the corresponding dichlorophosphine Ar(F)PCl(2) (1) with H(2)C[double bond]C(R)MgBr. In the presence of catalytic base (DBU or DABCO) the vinylphosphines (2a-c) undergo quantitative 1,3-hydrogen migration over 3 d to give stable and isolable phosphaalkenes Ar(F)P=C(R)CH(3) (3a, Ar(F) = 2,6-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3), R = CH(3); 3b, Ar(F) = 2,6-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3), R = C(6)H(5); 3c, Ar(F) = 2,4,6-(CF(3))(3)C(6)H(2), R = CH(3)). Under analogous conditions, only 90% conversion is observed in the base-catalyzed rearrangement of MesP(H)C(CH(3))[double bond]CH(2) to MesP[double bond]C(CH(3))(2). Presumably, the increase in acidity of the P-H group when electron-withdrawing groups are employed (i.e. 2a-c) favors quantitative rearrangement to the phosphaalkene tautomer (3a-c). Thus, the double-bond migration reaction is a convenient and practical method of preparing new phosphaalkenes with C-methyl substituents.  相似文献

The photochemical treatment of mu(3)-alkylidyne complexes [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu(3)-CR)] (R=H (1), Me (2), Cp*=eta(5)-C(5)Me(5)) with the amines (2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3))NH(2), Et(2)NH, and Ph(2)NH and the imine Ph(2)C=NH leads to the partial hydrogenation of the alkylidyne moiety that is supported on the organometallic oxide, [Ti(3)Cp*O(3)], and the formation of new oxoderivatives [[TiCp*(3)(mu-CHR)(R'NR")] (R"=2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3), R'=H, R=H (3), Me (4); R'=R"=Et, R=H (5), Me (6); R'=R"=Ph, R=H (7), Me (8)) and [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu-CHR)(N=CPh(2))] (R=H (9), R=Me (10)), respectively. A sequential transfer hydrogenation process occurs when complex 1 is treated with tBuNH(2), which initially gives the mu-methylene [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu-CH(2))(HNtBu)] (11) complex and finally, the alkyl derivative [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu-NtBu)Me] (12). Furthermore, irradiation of solutions of the mu(3)-alkylidyne complexes 1 or 2 in the presence of diamines o-C(6)H(4)(NH(2))(2) and H(2)NCH(2)CH(2)NH(2) (en) affords [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu(3)-eta(2)-NC(6)H(4)NH)] (13) and [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu(3)-eta(2)-NC(2)H(4)NH)] (14) by either methane or ethane elimination, respectively. In the reaction of 1 with en, an intermediate complex [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)(mu-CH(2))(NHCH(2)CH(2)NH(2))] (15) is detected by (1)H NMR spectroscopy. Thermal treatment of the complexes 4-10 quantitatively regenerates the starting mu(3)-alkylidyne compounds and the amine R'(2)NH or the imine Ph(2)C=NH; however, heating of solutions of 3 or 4 in [D(6)]benzene or a equimolecular mixture of both at 170 degrees C produces methane, ethane, or both, and the complex [[TiCp*(mu-O)](3)[mu(3)-eta(2)-NC(6)H(3)(Me)CH(2)]] (16). The molecular structure of 8 has been established by single-crystal X-ray analysis.  相似文献

This study advances strategy and design in catalysts and reagents for fluorous and supercritical CO(2) chemistry by defining the structural requirements for insulating a typical active site from a perfluoroalkyl segment. The vertical ionization potentials of the phosphines P((CH(2))(m)R(f8))(3) (m = 2 (2) to 5 (5)) are measured by photoelectron spectroscopy, and the enthalpies of protonation by calorimetry (CF(3)SO(3)H, CF(3)C(6)H(5)). They undergo progressively more facile (energetically) ionization and protonation (P(CH(2)CH(3))(3) > 5 > 4 approximately equal to P(CH(3))(3) > 3 > 2), as expected from inductive effects. Equilibrations of trans-Rh(CO)(Cl)(L)(2) complexes (L = 2, 3) establish analogous Lewis basicities. Density functional theory is used to calculate the structures, energies, ionization potentials, and gas-phase proton affinities (PA) of the model phosphines P((CH(2))(m)()CF(3))(3) (2'-9'). The ionization potentials of 2'-5' are in good agreement with those of 2-5, and together with PA values and analyses of homodesmotic relationships are used to address the title question. Between 8 and 10 methylene groups are needed to effectively insulate a perfluoroalkyl segment from a phosphorus lone pair, depending upon the criterion employed. Computations also show that the first carbon of a perfluoroalkyl segment exhibits a much greater inductive effect than the second, and that ionization potentials of nonfluorinated phosphines P((CH(2))(m)CH(3))(3) reach a limit at approximately nine carbons (m = 8).  相似文献

Treatment of the complex [U(Tren(TMS))(Cl)(THF)] [1, Tren(TMS) = N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(3))(3)] with Me(3)SiI at room temperature afforded known crystalline [U(Tren(TMS))(I)(THF)] (2), which is reported as a new polymorph. Sublimation of 2 at 160 °C and 10(-6) mmHg afforded the solvent-free dimer complex [{U(Tren(TMS))(μ-I)}(2)] (3), which crystallizes in two polymorphic forms. During routine preparations of 1, an additional complex identified as [U(Cl)(5)(THF)][Li(THF)(4)] (4) was isolated in very low yield due to the presence of a slight excess of [U(Cl)(4)(THF)(3)] in one batch. Reaction of 1 with one equivalent of lithium dicyclohexylamide or bis(trimethylsilyl)amide gave the corresponding amide complexes [U(Tren(TMS))(NR(2))] (5, R = cyclohexyl; 6, R = trimethylsilyl), which both afforded the cationic, separated ion pair complex [U(Tren(TMS))(THF)(2)][BPh(4)] (7) following treatment of the respective amides with Et(3)NH·BPh(4). The analogous reaction of 5 with Et(3)NH·BAr(f)(4) [Ar(f) = C(6)H(3)-3,5-(CF(3))(2)] afforded, following addition of 1 to give a crystallizable compound, the cationic, separated ion pair complex [{U(Tren(TMS))(THF)}(2)(μ-Cl)][BAr(f)(4)] (8). Reaction of 7 with K[Mn(CO)(5)] or 5 or 6 with [HMn(CO)(5)] in THF afforded [U(Tren(TMS))(THF)(μ-OC)Mn(CO)(4)] (9); when these reactions were repeated in the presence of 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME), the separated ion pair [U(Tren(TMS))(DME)][Mn(CO)(5)] (10) was isolated instead. Reaction of 5 with [HMn(CO)(5)] in toluene afforded [{U(Tren(TMS))(μ-OC)(2)Mn(CO)(3)}(2)] (11). Similarly, reaction of the cyclometalated complex [U{N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(2)Bu(t))(2)(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMeBu(t)CH(2))}] with [HMn(CO)(5)] gave [{U(Tren(DMSB))(μ-OC)(2)Mn(CO)(3)}(2)] [12, Tren(DMSB) = N(CH(2)CH(2)NSiMe(2)Bu(t))(3)]. Attempts to prepare the manganocene derivative [U(Tren(TMS))MnCp(2)] from 7 and K[MnCp(2)] were unsuccessful and resulted in formation of [{U(Tren(TMS))}(2)(μ-O)] (13) and [MnCp(2)]. Complexes 3-13 have been characterized by X-ray crystallography, (1)H NMR spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy, Evans method magnetic moment, and CHN microanalyses.  相似文献

Addition of 2 equiv of lithium pyrrolide to Mo(NR)(CHCMe2R')(OTf)2(DME) (OTf = OSO2CF3; R = 2,6-i-Pr2C6H3, 1-adamantyl, or 2,6-Br2-4-MeC6H2; R' = Me or Ph) produces Mo(NR)(CHCMe2R')(NC4H4)2 complexes in good yield. All compounds can be recrystallized readily from toluene or mixtures of pentane and ether and are sensitive to air and moisture. An X-ray structure of a 2,6-diisopropylphenylimido species shows it to be an unsymmetric dimer, {Mo(NAr)(syn-CHCMe2Ph)(eta5-NC4H4)(eta1-NC4H4)}{Mo(NAr)(syn-CHCMe2Ph)(eta1-NC4H4)2}, in which the nitrogen in the eta5-pyrrolyl bound to one Mo behaves as a donor to the other Mo. All complexes are fluxional on the NMR time scale at room temperature, with one symmetric species being observed on the NMR time scale at 50 degrees C in toluene-d8. The dimers react with PMe3 (at Mo) or B(C6F5)3 (at a eta5-NC4H4 nitrogen) to give monomeric products in high yield. They also react rapidly with 2 equiv of monoalcohols (e.g., Me3COH or (CF3)2MeCOH) or 1 equiv of a biphenol or binaphthol to give 2 equiv of pyrrole and bisalkoxide or diolate complexes in approximately 100% yield.  相似文献

Reactions of niobium and tantalum pentachlorides with tert-butylamine (>/=6 equiv) in benzene afford the dimeric imido complexes [NbCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2) (90%) and [TaCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2) (79%). The niobium complex exists as two isomers in solution, while the tantalum complex is composed of three major isomers and at least two minor isomers. Analogous treatments with isopropylamine (>/=7 equiv) give the monomeric complexes NbCl(2)(N(i)Pr)(NH(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)(2) (84%) and TaCl(2)(N(i)Pr)(NH(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)(2) (84%). The monomeric complexes are unaffected by treatment with excess isopropylamine, while the dimeric complexes are cleaved to the monomers MCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)(2) upon addition of excess tert-butylamine in chloroform solution. Treatment of niobium and tantalum pentachlorides with 2,6-diisopropylaniline affords insoluble precipitates of [NH(3)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3))](2)[NbCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] (100%) and [NH(3)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3))](2)[TaCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] (100%), which react with 4-tert-butylpyridine to afford the soluble complexes [4-t-C(4)H(9)C(5)H(4)NH](2)[NbCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] (45%) and [4-t-C(4)H(9)C(5)H(4)NH](2)[TaCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] (44%). Sublimation of [NbCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2), MCl(2)(N(i)Pr)(NH(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)(2), and [NH(3)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3))](2)[MCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] leads to decomposition to give [MCl(3)(NR)(NH(2)R)](2) as sublimates (32-49%), leaving complexes of the proposed formulation MCl(NR)(2) as nonvolatile residues. By contrast, [TaCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2) sublimes without chemical reaction. Analysis of the organic products obtained from thermal decomposition of [NbCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2) showed isobutylene and tert-butylamine in a 2.2:1 ratio. Mass spectra of [NbCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2), [TaCl(2)(N(t)Bu)(NH(t)Bu)(NH(2)(t)Bu)](2), and [NbCl(3)(N(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)](2) showed the presence of dimeric imido complexes, monomeric imido complexes, and nitrido complexes, implying that such species are important gas phase species in CVD processes utilizing these molecular precursors. The crystal structures of [4-t-C(4)H(9)C(5)H(4)NH](2)[NbCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))], [NbCl(3)(N(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)](2), [NbCl(3)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))(NH(2)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))](2), and [TaCl(3)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))(NH(2)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))](2) were determined. [4-t-C(4)H(9)C(5)H(4)NH](2)[NbCl(5)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))] crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/c with a = 12.448(3) ?, b = 10.363(3) ?, c = 28.228(3) ?, beta = 94.92(1) degrees, V = 3628(5) ?(3), and Z = 4. [NbCl(3)(N(i)Pr)(NH(2)(i)Pr)](2) crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/c with a = 9.586(4) ?, b = 12.385(4) ?, c = 11.695(4) ?, beta = 112.89(2) degrees, V = 1279.0(6) ?(3), and Z = 2. [NbCl(3)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))(NH(2)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))](2) crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.285(3) ?, b = 11.208(3) ?, c = 23.867(6) ?, beta = 97.53 degrees, V = 2727(1) ?(3), and Z = 2. [TaCl(3)(N(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))(NH(2)(2,6-(CH(CH(3))(2))(2)C(6)H(3)))](2) crystallizes in the space group P2(1)/n with a = 10.273(1) ?, b = 11.241(2) ?, c = 23.929(7) ?, beta = 97.69(2) degrees, V = 2695(2) ?(3), and Z = 2. These findings are discussed in the context of niobium and tantalum nitride film depositions from molecular precursors.  相似文献

Sixteen palladium(II) alpha-diimine catalysts were investigated in a screening-like procedure for the copolymerization of ethene with norbornene. The resulting copolymers were characterized by (13)C NMR spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, gel permeation chromatography, and viscosimetry. The degree of incorporation of norbornene in the polymer chain is very high for most of the catalysts. To validate the results achieved in the screening, two catalysts, [[ArN=CHCH=NAr]Pd(Me)(CH(3)CN)]BAr(f) (4) (1 b'; Ar=2,6-Me(2)C(6)H(3), BAr(f) (4)=B[3,5-C(6)H(3)(CF(3))(2)](4)) and [[ArN=C(CH(3))C(CH(3))=NAr]Pd(Me)(CH(3)CN)]BAr(f) (4) (2 c'; Ar=2,6-iPr(2)C(6)H(3)), were synthesized as discrete catalytically active species, and their copolymerization behavior was investigated in detail. In agreement with the screening results, 1 b' incorporates norbornene much better in the polymer chain than ethene, a property that has no analogue in metallocene catalysts.  相似文献

Secondary phosphane oxides, R(2)P(O)H, are commonly used as preligands for transition-metal complexes of phosphinous acids, R(2)P-OH (R=alkyl, aryl), which are relevant as efficient catalysts in cross-coupling processes. In contrast to previous work by other groups, we are interested in the ligating properties of an electron-deficient phosphinous acid, (R(f))(2)P-OH, bearing the strongly electron-withdrawing and sterically demanding 2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl group towards catalysis-relevant metals, such as palladium and platinum. The preligand bis[2,4-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]phosphane oxide, (R(f))(2)P(O)H, reacts smoothly with solid platinum(II) dichloride yielding the trans-configured phosphinous acid platinum complex trans-[PtCl(2)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)POH)(2)]. The deprotonation of one phosphinous acid ligand with an appropriate base leads to the cis-configured monoanion complex cis-[PtCl(2)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)PO)(2)H](-), featuring the quasi-chelating phosphinous acid phosphinito unit, (R(f))(2)P-O-H···O=P(R(f))(2), which exhibits a strong hydrogen bridge substantiated by an O···O distance of 245.1(4) pm. The second deprotonation step is accompanied by a rearrangement to afford the trans-configured dianion trans-[PtCl(2)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)PO)(2)](2-). The reaction of (R(f))(2)P(O)H with solid palladium(II) dichloride initially yields a mononuclear palladium complex [PdCl(2)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)POH)(2)], which condenses under liberation of HCl to the neutral dinuclear palladium complex [Pd(2)(μ-Cl)(2){({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)PO)(2)H}(2)]. The equilibrium between the mononuclear [PdCl(2)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)POH)(2)] and dinuclear [Pd(2)(μ-Cl)(2){({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)PO)(2)H}(2)] palladium complexes is reversible and can be shifted in each direction by the addition of base or HCl, respectively. Treatment of palladium(II) hexafluoroacetylacetonate, [Pd(F(6)acac)(2)], with a slight excess of (R(f))(2)P(O)H yields the complex [Pd(F(6)acac)({2,4-(CF(3))(2)C(6)H(3)}(2)PO)(2)H]. The quasi-chelating phosphinous acid phosphinito unit, which is formed by the liberation of HF(6)acac, is characterized by a O···O distance of 244.1(3) pm. These transition metal complexes are stable towards air and moisture and can be stored for months without any evidence of decomposition.  相似文献

The multigram syntheses of the protio ligands (2-NC(5)H(4))CH(2)N(CH(2)CH(2)NHSiMe(2)R)(2) (R = Me, H(2)N(2)NN' 3; R = (t)Bu, H(2)N(2)NN() 4) are described via reactions of the previously reported (2-NC(5)H(4))CH(2)N(CH(2)CH(2)NH(2))(2) (1). A new synthesis of 1 is reported starting from 2-aminomethylpyridine and N-tosylaziridine, proceeding via (2-NC(5)H(4))CH(2)N(CH(2)CH(2)NHTs)(2) (2). Reaction of H(2)N(2)NN' or H(2)N(2)NN* with (n)BuLi gives good yields of the dilithiated derivatives Li(2)N(2)NN' and Li(2)N(2)NN*. Reaction of H(2)N(2)NN' or H(2)N(2)NN* with [MCl(2)(CH(2)SiMe(3))(2)(Et(2)O)(2)] gives the cis-dichloride complexes [MCl(2)(L)] (L = N(2)NN', M = Zr 7 or Hf 8; L = N(2)NN(), M = Zr 9). The corresponding reactions of H(2)N(2)NN' or H(2)N(2)NN* with [Zr(NMe(2))(4)] afford the bis(dimethylamide) derivatives [Zr(NMe(2))(2)(L)] (L = N(2)NN' 10 or N(2)NN* 11). All of these protonolysis reactions proceed smoothly and in good yields. Attempts to prepare the titanium complexes [Ti(X)(2)(N(2)NN')] (X = Cl or NMe(2)) were unsuccessful. The X-ray crystal structures of (2-NC(5)H(4))CH(2)N(CH(2)CH(2)NHTs)(2).EtOH, [ZrCl(2)(N(2)NN')].0.5C(6)H(6), [Zr(NMe(2))(2)(N(2)NN')], and [Zr(NMe(2))(2)(N(2)NN*)] are reported.  相似文献

The first quaternary salts of pyridine (2), N-methyl imidazole (3), N-propyl triazole (4), and pyridazine (5) that contain the pentafluorosulfanyl (SF(5)) group were prepared and characterized. Neat reactions of the aromatic nitrogen compounds with SF(5)(CF(2))(n)(CH(2))(m)I (n = 2 or 4, m = 2 or 4) gave quaternary iodides 6a-c, 7a-c, 8a, and 9a,b, which were metathesized with LiN(SO(2)CF(3))(2) to form the bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amides 10a-c, 11a-c, 12a, and 13a,b, in high yields. With the exception of the pyridine bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)amide salts, the compounds melted or exhibited a T(g) at <0 degrees C. The methylimidazolium, pyridinium, and pyridazinium salts exhibited densities of approximately 2 g/cm(3). Particularly striking was the density of CF(3)(CF(2))(5)(CH(2))(2)-pyridazinium N(CF(3)SO(2))(2) measured at 2.13 g/cm(3); however, an atypically high density for the 1-CF(3)(CF(2))(5)(CH(2))(2)-3-methyl imidazolium amide (14) was also observed at 1.77 g/cm(3). All quaternary salts were characterized via IR, (19)F, (1)H, and (13)C NMR spectra and elemental analyses.  相似文献
