In this work, phosphotungstic acid (H3PW12O40; PW12) was chemically anchored on aminopropylsiloxane functionalized spherical Co3O4 nanoparticles (Co3O4–SiPrNH2) and the resultant nanocomposite (Co3O4–SiPrNH2/PW12) was fully characterized. The results demonstrated successful anchoring of PW12 on the surface of Co3O4–SiPrNH2nanoparticles. The Co3O4–SiPrNH2/PW12 nanohybrid indicated a specific surface area of 42.14 m2 g?1, which was greater than that of pure PW12 (ca. 5 m2 g?1). The adsorption efficiency of this novel adsorbent nanomaterial was evaluated for removing methylene blue (MB), rhodamine B (RhB) and methyl orange (MO) dyes from aqueous solutions. The hybrid nanomaterial exhibited a high adsorption rate and selective adsorptivity for the cationic MB and RhB dyes compared to those for anionic MO dye. The prepared hybrid nanomaterial removed over 98% of MB within 12 min. The effects of initial pH, contact time, adsorbent dosage, and temperature were investigated on the adsorption process. The adsorption capacity of nanohybrid for cationic MB dye was 38.46 mg g‐1. Also, adsorption kinetics indicated that the adsorption by Co3O4–SiPrNH2/PW12 was well‐modeled using pseudo‐second‐order kinetic model. Finally, thermodynamic parameters revealed that the adsorption was endothermic and spontaneous. The adsorption rate and ability of the Co3O4–SiPrNH2/PW12 were enhanced as compared with Co3O4 and Co3O4–SiPrNH2 samples due to enhanced electrostatic attraction intraction. The nanohybride was easily separated and reused without any change in structure. Thus, it could be a promising green adsorbent for removing organic pollutants in water.  相似文献

CoII‐substituted α‐Keggin‐type 12‐tungstenphosphate [(n‐ C4H9)4N]4H[PW11Co(H2O)O39]‐ (PW11Co) is synthesized and used as a single‐component, solvent‐free catalyst in the cycloaddition reaction of CO2 and epoxides to form cyclic carbonates. The mechanism of the cycloaddition reaction is investigated using DFT calculations, which provides the first computational study of the catalytic cycle of polyoxometalate‐catalyzed CO2 coupling reactions. The reaction occurs through a single‐electron transfer from the doublet CoII catalyst to the epoxide and forms a doublet CoIII–carbon radical intermediate. Subsequent CO2 addition forms the cyclic carbonate product. The existence of radical intermediates is supported by free‐radical termination experiments. Finally, it is exhilarating to observe that the calculated overall reaction barrier (30.5 kcal mol?1) is in good agreement with the real reaction rate (83 h?1) determined in the present experiments (at 150 °C).  相似文献

Compositing amorphous TiO2 with nitrogen‐doped carbon through Ti? N bonding to form an amorphous TiO2/N‐doped carbon hybrid (denoted a‐TiO2/C? N) has been achieved by a two‐step hydrothermal–calcining method with hydrazine hydrate as an inhibitor and nitrogen source. The resultant a‐TiO2/C? N hybrid has a surface area as high as 108 m2 g?1 and, when used as an anode material, exhibits a capacity as high as 290.0 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 1 C and a reversible capacity over 156 mA h g?1 at a current rate of 10 C after 100 cycles; these results are better than those found in most reports on crystalline TiO2. This superior electrochemical performance could be ascribed to a combined effect of several factors, including the amorphous nature, porous structure, high surface area, and N‐doped carbon.  相似文献

The mesoporous titanium dioxide (MTiO2) photocatalysts co‐doped with Fe and H3PW12O40 were synthesized by template method using tetrabutyl titanate (Ti(OC4H9)4), Fe(NO3)k39H2Oand H3PW12O40 as precursors and Pluronic P123 as template. The as‐prepared photocatalyst was characterized by N2 adsorption‐desorption measurements, X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and UV‐vis adsorption spectroscopy, and the photocatalytic activities of the prepared samples under UV and visible light were estimated by measuring the degradation rate of methyl blue (MB) (50 mg/L) in an aqueous solution. The characterizations indicated that the photocatalysts possessed a homogeneous pore diameter of ca. 10 nm with high surface area of ca. 150 m2/g. The results of MB photodecomposition showed that co‐doped mesoporous TiO2 exhibited higher photocatalytic activities than un‐doped, single‐doped mesoporous TiO2 under UV and visible light irradiation. It was shown that the co‐doped MTiO2 could be activated by visible light and could thus be used as an effective catalyst in photo‐oxidation reactions. The synergistic effect of Fe and H3PW12O40 co‐doping played an important role in improving the photocatalytic activity.  相似文献

Gold nanoparticles loaded onto Keggin‐type insoluble polyoxometalates (CsxH3?xPW12O40) showed superior catalytic performances for the direct conversion of cellobiose into gluconic acid in water in the presence of O2. The selectivity of Au/CsxH3?xPW12O40 for gluconic acid was significantly higher than those of Au catalysts loaded onto typical metal oxides (e.g., SiO2, Al2O3, and TiO2), carbon nanotubes, and zeolites (H‐ZSM‐5 and HY). The acidity of polyoxometalates and the mean‐size of the Au nanoparticles were the key factors in the catalytic conversion of cellobiose into gluconic acid. The stronger acidity of polyoxometalates not only favored the conversion of cellobiose but also resulted in higher selectivity of gluconic acid by facilitating desorption and inhibiting its further degradation. On the other hand, the smaller Au nanoparticles accelerated the oxidation of glucose (an intermediate) into gluconic acid, thereby leading to increases both in the conversion of cellobiose and in the selectivity of gluconic acid. The Au/CsxH3?xPW12O40 system also catalyzed the conversion of cellulose into gluconic acid with good efficiency, but it could not be used repeatedly owing to the leaching of a H+‐rich hydrophilic moiety over long‐term hydrothermal reactions. We have demonstrated that the combination of H3PW12O40 and Au/Cs3.0PW12O40 afforded excellent yields of gluconic acid (about 85 %, 418 K, 11 h), and the deactivation of the recovered H3PW12O40–Au/Cs3.0PW12O40 catalyst was not serious during repeated use.  相似文献

Mesoporous silica synthesized from the cocondensation of tetraethoxysilane and silylated carbon dots containing an amide group has been adopted as the carrier for the in situ growth of TiO2 through an impregnation–hydrothermal crystallization process. Benefitting from initial complexation between the titania precursor and carbon dot, highly dispersed anatase TiO2 nanoparticles can be formed inside the mesoporous channel. The hybrid material possesses an ordered hexagonal mesostructure with p6mm symmetry, a high specific surface area (446.27 m2 g?1), large pore volume (0.57 cm3 g?1), uniform pore size (5.11 nm), and a wide absorption band between λ=300 and 550 nm. TiO2 nanocrystals are anchored to the carbon dot through Ti?O?N and Ti?O?C bonds, as revealed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Moreover, the nitrogen doping of TiO2 is also verified by the formation of the Ti?N bond. This composite shows excellent adsorption capabilities for 2,4‐dichlorophenol and acid orange 7, with an electron‐deficient aromatic ring, through electron donor–acceptor interactions between the carbon dot and organic compounds instead of the hydrophobic effect, as analyzed by the contact angle analysis. The composite can be photocatalytically recycled through visible‐light irradiation after adsorption. The narrowed band gap, as a result of nitrogen doping, and the photosensitization effect of carbon dots are revealed to be coresponsible for the visible‐light activity of TiO2. The adsorption capacity does not suffer any clear losses after being recycled three times.  相似文献

A feasible strategy is reported for the synthesis of a disk‐like Pt/CeO2‐p‐TiO2 catalyst derived from the titanium‐based metal–organic framework (MOF) MIL‐125(Ti) through a few valid steps. To verify the successful synthesis and structural features of the Pt/CeO2‐p‐TiO2 catalyst, as‐prepared samples were characterized using several techniques. The characterizations demonstrated that MOF‐derived porous TiO2 was appropriate for application as a support owing to its moderate surface area (101 m2 g?1) and suitable pore size (6 nm). Moreover, to study the effect of calcination temperature on the catalytic performance, the obtained catalyst was calcined at various temperatures. It was found that Pt/CeO2‐p‐TiO2 calcined at 550 °C exhibited the highest catalytic performance, evaluated by means of the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol monitored by UV–visible spectra. Furthermore, this catalyst showed good reusability with a conversion of 94% even after six cycles. Finally, a possible reaction mechanism was proposed to explain the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol to 4‐aminophenol over the Pt/CeO2‐p‐TiO2 catalyst.  相似文献

In this study, a silicic acid and tetra isopropyl ortho titanate ceramic precursor and a metallocene polyethylene‐octene elastomer (POE) or acrylic acid grafted metallocene polyethylene‐octene elastomer (POE‐g‐AA) were used in the preparation of hybrids (POE/SiO2? TiO2 and POE‐g‐AA/SiO2? TiO2) using an in situ sol‐gel process, with a view to identifying a hybrid with improved thermal and mechanical properties. Hybrids were characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, 29Si solid‐state nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), X‐ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry, thermogravimetry analysis, dynamic mechanical thermal analysis, and Instron mechanical testing. Properties of the POE‐g‐AA/SiO2? TiO2 hybrid were superior to those of the POE/SiO2? TiO2 hybrid. This was because the carboxylic acid groups of acrylic acid acted as coordination sites for the silica‐titania phase to allow the formation of stronger chemical bonds. 29Si solid‐state NMR showed that Si atoms coordinated around SiO4 units were predominantly Q3 and Q4. The 10 wt % SiO2? TiO2 hybrids gave the maximum values of tensile strength and glass transition temperature in both POE/SiO2? TiO2 and POE‐g‐AA/SiO2? TiO2. It is proposed that above this wt %, excess SiO2? TiO2 particles caused separation between the organic and inorganic phases. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Organic–inorganic hybrids based on poly(butyleneadipate‐co‐terephthalate)/titanium dioxide (PBAT/TiO2) hybrid membranes were prepared via a sol–gel process. The PBAT/TiO2 hybrid membranes were prepared for various PBAT/TiO2 ratios. The resulting hybrids were characterized with a morphological structure, hydrophilicity, biodegradability, and thermal properties. The results showed that macrovoids underwent a transition into a sponge‐like membrane structure with the addition of TiO2. After sol–gel transition, a strong interaction between the inorganic network and polymeric chains led to an increase in glass transition temperature (Tg), thermal degrading temperature, and hydrophilicity, and hence a higher biodegradability. According to X‐ray diffraction measurements of the crystal structure of the hybrid, the presence of TiO2 did not change the crystal structure of PBAT. TiO2 networks are uniformly dispersed into the PBAT matrix and no aggregation of TiO2 networks in the hybrid membranes was observed through the small angle X‐ray scattering measurements. Thus, the sol–gel process of PBAT and TiO2 can be used to prepare a hybrid with higher application temperature and faster biodegradation rate. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Structurally thermostable mesoporous anatase TiO2 (m‐TiO2) nanoparticles, uniquely decorated with atomically dispersed SiO2, is reported for the first time. The inorganic Si portion of the novel organosilane template, used as a mesopores‐directing agent, is found to be incorporated in the pore walls of the titania aggregates, mainly as isolated sites. This is evident by transmission electron microscopy and high‐angle annular dark field scanning transmission electron microscopy, combined with electron dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy. This type of unique structure provides exceptional stability to this new material against thermal collapse of the mesoporous structure, which is reflected in its high surface area (the highest known for anatase titania), even after high‐temperature (550 °C) calcination. Control of crystallite size, pore diameter, and surface area is achieved by varying the molar ratios of the titanium precursor and the template during synthesis. These mesoporous materials retain their porosity and high surface area after template removal and further NaOH/HCl treatment to remove silica. We investigate their performance for dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) with bilayer TiO2 electrodes, which are prepared by applying a coating of m‐TiO2 onto a commercial titania (P25) film. The high surface area of the upper mesoporous layer in the P25–m‐TiO2 DSSC significantly increases the dye loading ability of the photoanode. The photocurrent and fill factor for the DSSC with the bilayer TiO2 electrode are greatly improved. The large increase in photocurrent current (ca. 56 %) in the P25–m‐TiO2 DSSC is believed to play a significant role in achieving a remarkable increase in the photovoltaic efficiency (60 %) of the device, compared to DSSCs with a monolayer of P25 as the electrode.  相似文献

The development of visible‐light‐active photocatalysts is being investigated through various approaches. In this study, C60‐based sensitized photocatalysis that works through the charge transfer (CT) mechanism is proposed and tested as a new approach. By employing the water‐soluble fullerol (C60(OH)x) instead of C60, we demonstrate that the adsorbed fullerol activates TiO2 under visible‐light irradiation through the “surface–complex CT” mechanism, which is largely absent in the C60/TiO2 system. Although fullerene and its derivatives have often been utilized in TiO2‐based photochemical conversion systems as an electron transfer relay, their successful photocatalytic application as a visible‐light sensitizer of TiO2 is not well established. Fullerol/TiO2 exhibits marked visible photocatalytic activity not only for the redox conversion of 4‐chlorophenol, I?, and CrVI, but also for H2 production. The photoelectrode of fullerol/TiO2 also generates an enhanced anodic photocurrent under visible light as compared with the electrodes of bare TiO2 and C60/TiO2, which confirms that the visible‐light‐induced electron transfer from fullerol to TiO2 is particularly enhanced. The surface complexation of fullerol/TiO2 induced a visible absorption band around 400–500 nm, which was extinguished when the adsorption of fullerol was inhibited by fluorination of the surface of TiO2. The transient absorption spectroscopic measurement gave an absorption spectrum ascribed to fullerol radical cations (fullerol.+) the generation of which should be accompanied by the proposed CT. The theoretical calculation regarding the absorption spectra for the (TiO2 cluster+fullerol) model also confirmed the proposed CT, which involves excitation from HOMO (fullerol) to LUMO (TiO2 cluster) as the origin of the visible‐light absorption.  相似文献

The effects of the dye‐adsorption solvent on the performances of the dye‐sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on black dye have been investigated. The highest conversion efficiency (10.6 %) was obtained in the cases for which 1‐PrOH and the mixed solvent of EtOH and tBuOH (3:1 v/v) were employed as dye‐adsorption solvents. The optimized value for the dielectric constant of the dye‐adsorption solvent was found to be around 20. The DSSCs that used MeOH as a dye‐adsorption solvent showed inferior solar‐cell performance relative to the DSSCs that used EtOH, 1‐PrOH, 2‐PrOH, and 1‐BuOH. Photo‐ and electrochemical measurements of black dye both in solution and adsorbed onto the TiO2 surface revealed that black dye aggregates at the TiO2 surface during the adsorption process in the case for MeOH. Both the shorter electron lifetime in the TiO2 photoelectrode and the greater resistance in the TiO2–dye–elecrolyte interface, attributed to the dye aggregation at the TiO2 surface, cause the decrease in the solar‐cell performance of the DSSC that used MeOH as a dye adsorption solvent.  相似文献

Visible‐light irradiation of a ternary hybrid catalyst prepared by grafting a dye, an H2 evolving CoIII catalyst and a CO‐producing ReI catalyst on TiO2 have been found to produce both H2 and CO (syngas) in CO2‐saturated N ,N ‐dimethyl formamide (DMF)/water solution containing a 0.1 m sacrificial electron donor. The H2/CO ratios are effectively controlled by changing either the water content of the solvent or the molar ratio of the ReI and CoIII catalysts ranging from 1:2 to 15:1. The controlled syngas formation is discussed in terms of competitive electron flow from TiO2 to each of the CO2‐reduction and hydrogen‐evolving sites depending on the efficiencies of the two catalytic reaction cycles under given reaction conditions.  相似文献

Three couples of reversible redox peaks of the PW12O403? (PW12) anion, which are composed of two one‐electron and one two‐electron processes occur in the potential range from +0.25 to ?0.7 V in aqueous solutions. The electrocatalytic reduction of nitrite has been studied by the first redox couple of the PW12 anion at the surface of a carbon paste electrode. Cyclic voltammetric and chronoamperometric techniques were used to investigate the suitability of PW12 anion as a mediator for nitrite electrocatalytic reduction in aqueous solution with strongly acidic concentration of H2SO4. Results showed that H2SO4 1.00 M is the best medium for this purpose. In the optimum concentration of H2SO4, the electrocatalytic ability about 500 mV can be seen and the homogeneous second‐order rate constant (ks) for nitrite coupled catalytically to PW12 anion was calculated as 2.52×103 M?1 s?1 using the Nicholson–Shain method. According to our voltammetric experiments, the catalytic reduction peak current was linearly dependent on the nitrite concentration and the linearity range obtained was 3×10?5 to 1.00×10?3 M. The detection limit has been found to be 2.82×10?5 M (2σ). This method has been applied as a selective, simple, and precise method for determination of nitrite in real samples.  相似文献

A new vinyltrimethoxysilane‐based hybrid silica monolith was developed and used as a reversed‐phase capillary column. The synthesis of this rich vinyl hybrid macroporous monolith, by cocondensation of vinyltrimethoxysilane with tetramethoxysilane, was investigated using an unconventional (formamide, nitric acid) porogen/catalyst system. A macroporous hybrid silica monolith with 80% in mass of vinyltrimethoxysilane in the feeding silane solution was obtained and compared to a more conventional low vinyl content hybrid monolith with only of 20% vinyltrimethoxysilane. Monoliths were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, 29Si nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and N2 adsorption–desorption. About 80% of the vinyl precursor was incorporated in the final materials, leading to 15.9 and 61.5% of Si atoms bonded to vinyl groups for 20% vinyltrimethoxysilane and 80% vinyltrimethoxysilane, respectively. The 80% vinyltrimethoxysilane monolith presents a lower surface area than 20% vinyltrimethoxysilane (159 versus 551 m2/g), which is nevertheless compensated by a higher vinyl surface density. Chromatographic properties were evaluated in reversed‐phase mode. Plots of ln(k) versus percentage of organic modifier were used to assess the reversed‐phase mechanism. Its high content of organic groups leads to high retention properties. Column efficiencies of 170 000 plates/m were measured for this 80% vinyltrimethoxysilane hybrid silica monolith. Long capillary monolithic columns (90 cm) were successfully synthesized (N = 120 000).  相似文献

An oxygen switch in catalysis of the cobalamin derivative (B12)‐TiO2 hybrid catalyst for the dechlorination of trichlorinated organic compounds has been developed. The covalently bound B12 on the TiO2 surface transformed trichlorinated organic compounds into an ester and amide by UV light irradiation under mild conditions (in air at room temperature), while dichlorostilbenes (E and Z forms) were formed in nitrogen from benzotrichloride. A benzoyl chloride was formed as an intermediate of the ester and amide, which was detected by GC‐MS. The substrate scope of the synthetic strategy is demonstrated with a range of various trichlorinated organic compounds. A photo‐duet reaction utilizing the hole and conduction band electron of TiO2 in B12‐TiO2 for the amide formation was also developed.  相似文献

An inorganic-organic composite was prepared by poly(amidoamine) (PAMAM) dendrimer reacting with cobalt(Ⅱ)-monosubstituted polyoxometalates Na5Co^Ⅱ(H2O)PW11O39 (PW11CO) in an aqueous solution. The hybrid composite PW11Co/PAMAM was characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra (DR-UV-Vis), XPS, XRD and TG/DTA, indicating that the PWI iCo was chemically anchored to PAMAM. The morphologies of the title composite were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The catalytic activity was evaluated by oxidation of isobutyraldehyde (IBA) to isobutyric acid (IBAc) in MeCN under mild conditions (20 ℃, ambient pressure), showing that the title compound is a more effective and recoverable catalyst than corresponding PW11Co.  相似文献

Boehmite nano‐particles with a high degree of surface hydroxyl groups were covalently functionalized by 3‐(trimethoxysilyl)‐propylamine to support H3[PMo12O40], H3[PW12O40], H4[SiMo12O40] and H4[SiW12O40] Keggin‐type heteropolyacids. After characterization of these catalysts by FT‐IR, powder X‐ray diffraction, TG/differential thermal analysis, CHN, inductively coupled plasma and transmission electron microscopy techniques, they were applied to the epoxidation of cis‐cycloocten. The progress of the reactions was investigated by gas–liquid chromatography, and the catalytic procedures were optimized for the parameters involved, such as the solvent and oxidant. The results showed that 25 mg of supported H3[PMo12O40] catalyst in 1 ml C2H4Cl2 with 0.5 mmol cyclooctene and 1 mmol tert‐butylhydroperoxide at reflux temperature gave 98% yield over 15 min. Recycling experiments revealed that these nanocatalysts could be repeatedly applied up to five times for a nearly complete epoxidation of cis‐cycloocten. The optimized experimental conditions were also used successfully for the epoxidation of some other alkenes, such as cyclohexene, styrene and α‐methyl styrene.  相似文献

The catalytic performance of tetra‐n‐butylammonium salts of Keggin and Wells–Dawson sandwich‐type polyoxotungstates, [M4(PW9O34)2]m? and [M4(P2W15O56)2]n? (M = Mn2+, Fe3+, Co2+, Ni2+, Zn2+), in the oxidation of cyclooctene and cyclohexene with 30% hydrogen peroxide under various conditions was investigated. In comparison, Wells–Dawson sandwich‐type polyoxometalates were found to be less active than Keggin ones. In both of them, those containing Zn and Fe gave higher conversions for different oxidation conditions. These catalysts showed very good reusability in the oxidation reaction. Two organic–inorganic hybrid compounds have been prepared by the combination of the 4‐[(E)‐2‐(pyridin‐1‐ium‐2‐yl)ethenyl]pyridinium cation with perhalometallate anions to give 4‐[(E)‐2‐(pyridin‐1‐ium‐2‐yl)ethenyl]pyridinium tetrachloridocobaltate(II), (C12H12N2)[CoCl4], (I), and 4‐[(E)‐2‐(pyridin‐1‐ium‐2‐yl)ethenyl]pyridinium tetrachloridozincate(II), (C12H12N2)[ZnCl4], (II). The compounds have been structurally characterized by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis, showing the formation of a three‐dimensional network through X—H...ClnM (X = C, N+; n = 1, 2; M = CoII, ZnII) hydrogen‐bonding interactions and π–π stacking interactions. The title compounds were also characterized by FT–IR spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA).  相似文献
