Three‐dimensional (3D) hydroxyapatite (HAP) hierarchical nanostructures, in particular hollow nanostructures, have attracted much attention owing to their potential applications in many biomedical fields. Herein, we report a rapid microwave‐assisted hydrothermal synthesis of a variety of hydroxyapatite hierarchical nanostructures that are constructed by the self‐assembly of nanorods or nanosheets as the building blocks, including HAP nanorod‐assembled hierarchical hollow microspheres (HA‐NRHMs), HAP nanorod‐assembled hierarchical microspheres (HA‐NRMs), and HAP nanosheet‐assembled hierarchical microspheres (HA‐NSMs) by using biocompatible biomolecule pyridoxal‐5′‐phosphate (PLP) as a new organic phosphorus source. The PLP molecules hydrolyze to produce phosphate ions under microwave‐hydrothermal conditions, and the phosphate ions react with calcium ions to form HAP nanorods or nanosheets; then, these nanorods or nanosheets self‐assemble to form 3D HAP hierarchical nanostructures. The preparation method reported herein is time‐saving, with microwave heating times as short as 5 min. The HA‐NRHMs consist of HAP nanorods as the building units, with an average diameter of about 50 nm. The effects of the experimental conditions on the morphology and crystal phase of the products are investigated. The hydrolysis of PLP under microwave‐hydrothermal conditions and the important role of PLP in the formation of 3D HAP hierarchical nanostructures are investigated and a possible formation mechanism is proposed. The products are explored for potential applications in protein adsorption and drug delivery. Our experimental results indicate that the HA‐NRHMs have high drug/protein‐loading capacity and sustained drug‐release behavior. Thus, the as‐prepared HA‐NRHMs are promising for applications in drug delivery and protein adsorption.  相似文献

A facile and environmentally friendly approach has been developed to prepare yolk‐shell porous microspheres of calcium phosphate by using calcium L ‐lactate pentahydrate (CL) as the calcium source and adenosine 5′‐triphosphate disodium salt (ATP) as the phosphate source through the microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method. The effects of the concentration of CL, the microwave hydrothermal temperature, and the time on the morphology and crystal phase of the product are investigated. The possible formation mechanism of yolk‐shell porous microspheres of calcium phosphate is proposed. Hemoglobin from bovine red cells (Hb) and ibuprofen (IBU) are used to explore the application potential of yolk‐shell porous microspheres of calcium phosphate in protein/drug loading and delivery. The experimental results indicate that the as‐prepared yolk‐shell porous microspheres of calcium phosphate have relatively high protein/drug loading capacity, sustained protein/drug release, favorable pH‐responsive release behavior, and a high biocompatibility in the cytotoxicity test. Therefore, the yolk‐shell porous microspheres of calcium phosphate have promising applications in various biomedical fields such as protein/drug delivery.  相似文献

Highly stable amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) porous nanospheres with a relatively uniform size and an average pore diameter of about 10 nm have been synthesized by using a microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method with adenosine 5′‐triphosphate disodium salt (ATP) as the phosphorus source and stabilizer. The as‐prepared ACP porous nanospheres have a high stability in the phosphate buffer saline (PBS) solution for more than 150 h without phase transformation to hydroxyapatite, and the morphology and size were essentially not changed. The important role of ATP and effects of experimental conditions on the formation of ACP porous nanospheres were also investigated. The ACP porous nanospheres were characterized by X‐ray powder diffraction (XRD), Fourier‐transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). This method is facile, rapid, surfactant‐free and environmentally friendly. The as‐prepared ACP porous nanospheres are efficient for anticancer drug (docetaxel) loading and release. The ACP porous nanosphere drug‐delivery system with docetaxel shows a high ability to damage tumor cells, thus, is promising for the application in anticancer treatment.  相似文献

Hierarchically nanostructured porous hollow microspheres of hydroxyapatite (HAP) are a promising biomaterial, owing to their excellent biocompatibility and porous hollow structure. Traditionally, synthetic hydroxyapatite is prepared by using an inorganic phosphorus source. Herein, we report a new strategy for the rapid, sustainable synthesis of HAP hierarchically nanostructured porous hollow microspheres by using creatine phosphate disodium salt as an organic phosphorus source in aqueous solution through a microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method. The as‐obtained products are characterized by powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier‐transform IR (FTIR) spectroscopy, SEM, TEM, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) nitrogen sorptometry, dynamic light scattering (DLS), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). SEM and TEM micrographs show that HAP hierarchically nanostructured porous hollow microspheres consist of HAP nanosheets or nanorods as the building blocks and DLS measurements show that the diameters of HAP hollow microspheres are within the range 0.8–1.5 μm. The specific surface area and average pore size of the HAP porous hollow microspheres are 87.3 m2g?1 and 20.6 nm, respectively. The important role of creatine phosphate disodium salt and the influence of the experimental conditions on the products were systematically investigated. This method is facile, rapid, surfactant‐free and environmentally friendly. The as‐prepared HAP porous hollow microspheres show a relatively high drug‐loading capacity and protein‐adsorption ability, as well as sustained drug and protein release, by using ibuprofen as a model drug and hemoglobin (Hb) as a model protein, respectively. These experiments indicate that the as‐prepared HAP porous hollow microspheres are promising for applications in biomedical fields, such as drug delivery and protein adsorption.  相似文献

Herein we report a rapid and green strategy for the preparation of amorphous calcium phosphate mesoporous microspheres (ACP‐MSs) using adenosine 5′‐diphosphate disodium salt (ADP) as an organic phosphorus source by a microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method. The effects of the pH value, the reaction time, and temperature on the crystal phase and morphology of the product are investigated. The ADP biomolecules used in this strategy play an important role in the formation of ACP‐MSs. The as‐prepared ACP‐MSs are efficient for anticancer drug delivery by using doxorubicin (Dox) as a model drug, and the Dox‐loaded ACP‐MSs show a high ability to damage cancer cells. Moreover, the ACP‐MSs drug delivery system exhibits a pH‐responsive drug‐release behavior due to the degradation of ACP‐MSs at a low pH value, thus, it is promising for applications in pH‐responsive drug delivery.  相似文献

Drug nanocarriers with magnetic targeting and pH‐responsive drug‐release behavior are promising for applications in controlled drug delivery. Magnetic iron oxides show excellent magnetism, but their application in drug delivery is limited by low drug‐loading capacity and poor control over drug release. Herein, core–shell hollow microspheres of magnetic iron oxide@amorphous calcium phosphate (MIO@ACP) were prepared and investigated as magnetic, pH‐responsive drug nanocarriers. Hollow microspheres of magnetic iron oxide (HMIOs) were prepared by etching solid MIO microspheres in hydrochloric acid/ethanol solution. After loading a drug into the HMIOs, the drug‐loaded HMIOs were coated with a protective layer of ACP by using adenosine 5′‐triphosphate (ATP) disodium salt (Na2ATP) as stabilizer, and drug‐loaded core–shell hollow microspheres of MIO@ACP (HMIOs/drug/ACP) were obtained. The as‐prepared HMIOs/drug/ACP drug‐delivery system exhibits superparamagnetism and pH‐responsive drug‐release behavior. In a medium with pH 7.4, drug release was slow, but it was significantly accelerated at pH 4.5 due to dissolution of the ACP shell. Docetaxel‐loaded core–shell hollow microspheres of MIO@ACP exhibited high anticancer activity.  相似文献

Flower‐like nanostructured hydroxyapatite hollow spheres (NHHS) assembled with nanosheets with a hierarchical morphology are fabricated by a rapid microwave‐assisted hydrothermal route. The presence and concentration of block copolymer poly(lactide)‐block‐poly(ethylene glycol) (PLA–PEG) are important parameters for the formation of the hollow structure. The possible formation mechanism of NHHS is proposed. The NHHS are explored as anticancer drug carriers for cellular delivery of mitoxantrone (MIT). The MIT‐loaded NHHS exhibit sustained‐drug‐release behavior in vitro and the intracellular drug‐distribution tests indicate that the MIT loaded in NHHS carriers can enter the cells efficiently. The experiments also show that the NHHS have a good biocompatibility, and therefore, they are promising anticancer drug carriers in cancer chemotherapy.  相似文献

The design and preparation of luminescent drug carriers has been a prosperous area of research for many years. However, the excitation and/or emission wavelength of such luminescent drug carriers haven′t been optimized in the so‐called human “near infrared (NIR) optical window”, thus restricting their practical applications. Herein, we report the synthesis of electrospun porous YAG:Nd3+ (neodymium‐doped yttrium aluminum garnet) fibers with both excitation and emission in the “NIR optical window” as luminescent drug carriers. The YAG:Nd3+ porous fibers were characterized by SEM, TEM, XRD, scanning transmission electron microscopy–energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy (STEM‐EDX), and photoluminescence (PL). Ibuprofen (IBU) was used as a model drug to evaluate the drug‐loading capacities and release profiles of the samples. BMSCs (bone mesenchymal stem cells) were used as model human cells to investigate cytotoxicity. Our results indicated that the YAG:Nd3+ fibers possessed a fine, irregularly porous fibrous morphology with an average diameter of 378 nm. The florescence of the sample (1064 nm) could be excited over a wide wavelength range in the NIR region. During the release process of IBU in simulated body fluid (SBF), along with the dissolving of the drug, the solvent entered into the pores, and the emission intensity of the YAG:Nd3+ fibers at 1064 nm decreased gradually, owing to a quenching effect of the hydroxy groups, thus provided an approach to track and monitor drug release. In addition, cytotoxicity investigations revealed that these YAG:Nd3+ fibers were biocompatible with human cells. Consequently, the porous YAG:Nd3+ fibers are a promising material for applications as advanced drug carriers.  相似文献

Herein, we report the in situ growth of single‐crystalline Ni(OH)2 nanoflakes on a Ni support by using facile hydrothermal processes. The as‐prepared Ni/Ni(OH)2 sponges were well‐characterized by using X‐ray diffraction (XRD), SEM, TEM, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) techniques. The results revealed that the nickel‐skeleton‐supported Ni(OH)2 rope‐like aggregates were composed of numerous intercrossed single‐crystal Ni(OH)2 flake‐like units. The Ni/Ni(OH)2 hybrid sponges served as electrodes and displayed ultrahigh specific capacitance (SC=3247 F g?1) and excellent rate‐capability performance, likely owing to fast electron and ion transport, sufficient Faradic redox reaction, and robust structural integrity of the Ni/Ni(OH)2 hybrid electrode. These results support the promising application of Ni(OH)2 nanoflakes as advanced pseudocapacitor materials.  相似文献

Metal–organic frameworks are having a tremendous impact on novel strategic applications, with prospective employment in industrially relevant processes. The development of such processes is strictly dependent on the ability to generate materials with high yield efficiency and production rate. We report a versatile and highly efficient method for synthesis of metal–organic frameworks in large quantities using continuous flow processing under microwave irradiation. Benchmark materials such as UiO‐66, MIL‐53(Al), and HKUST‐1 were obtained with remarkable mass, space–time yields, and often using stoichiometric amounts of reactants. In the case of UiO‐66 and MIL‐53(Al), we attained unprecedented space–time yields far greater than those reported previously. All of the syntheses were successfully extended to multi‐gram high quality products in a matter of minutes, proving the effectiveness of continuous flow microwave technology for the large scale production of metal–organic frameworks.  相似文献

Color‐controlled spherical Ag nanoparticles (NPs) and nanorods, with features that originate from their particle sizes and morphologies, can be synthesized within the mesoporous structure of SBA‐15 by the rapid and uniform microwave (MW)‐assisted alcohol reduction method in the absence or presence of surface‐modifying organic ligands. The obtained several Ag catalysts exhibit different catalytic activities in the H2 production from ammonia borane (NH3BH3, AB) under dark conditions, and higher catalytic activity is observed by smaller yellow Ag NPs in spherical form. The catalytic activities are specifically enhanced under the light irradiation for all Ag catalysts. In particular, under light irradiation, the blue Ag nanorod shows a maximum enhancement of more than twice that observed in the dark. It should be noted that the order of increasing catalytic performance is in close agreement with the order of absorption intensity owing to the Ag localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) at irradiation light wavelength. Upon consideration of infrared thermal effect, wavelength dependence on catalytic activity, and effect of radical scavengers, it can be concluded that the dehydrogenation of AB is promoted by change of charge density of the Ag NP surface derived from LSPR. The LSPR‐enhanced catalytic activity can be further realized in the tandem reaction consisting of dehydrogenation of AB and hydrogenation of 4‐nitrophenol, in which a similar tendency in the enhancement of catalytic activity is observed.  相似文献

Calcium phosphate hybrid nanoparticles (CaP‐HNPs) have been synthesized in aqueous solution through self‐assembly by using two oppositely charged polyelectrolytes (poly(diallyldimethylammonium chloride) (PDADMAC) and poly(acrylate sodium) (PAS)) as dual templates. First, the PAS/Ca2+ and PDADMAC/PO43? complexes form through electrostatic interactions and then two complexes self‐assemble into CaP‐HNPs after mixing them together. The as‐prepared CaP‐HNPs exhibit a spherical morphology with a narrow size distribution, good dispersibility, and high colloidal stability in water. The CaP‐HNPs are explored as a nanocarrier for the anticancer drug docetaxel (Dtxl). The CaP‐HNPs show excellent biocompatibility, high drug‐loading capacity, pH‐sensitive drug‐release behavior, and high anticancer effect after being loaded with Dtxl. Therefore, the as‐prepared CaP‐HNPs are promising drug nanocarriers for cancer therapy.  相似文献

A rapid, microwave‐assisted hydrothermal method has been developed to access ultrafine ZnO hexagonal microrods of about 3–4 μm in length and 200–300 nm in width by using a 1:5 zinc nitrate/urea precursor system. The size and morphology of these ZnO materials can be influenced by subtle changes in precursor concentration, solvent system, and reaction temperature. Optimized conditions involve the use of a 1:3 water/ethylene glycol solvent system and 10 min microwave heating at 150 °C in a dedicated single‐mode microwave reactor with internal temperature control. Carefully executed control experiments ensuring identical heating and cooling profiles, stirring rates, and reactor geometries have demonstrated that for these preparations of ZnO microrods no differences between conventional and microwave dielectric heating are observed. The resulting ZnO microrods exhibited the same crystal phase, primary crystallite size, shape, and size distribution regardless of the heating mode. Similar results were obtained for the ultrafast preparation of ZnO nanoparticles with diameters of approximately 20 nm, synthesized by means of a nonaqueous sol–gel process at 200 °C from a Zn(acac)2 (acac=acetylacetonate) precursor in benzyl alcohol. The specific role of microwave irradiation in enhancing these nanomaterial syntheses can thus be attributed to a purely thermal effect as a result of higher reaction temperatures, more rapid heating, and a better control of process parameters.  相似文献

A C3‐symmetric π‐conjugated macrocycle combined with an appropriate hydrogen bonding module (phenylene triangle) allowed the construction of crystalline supramolecular frameworks with a cavity volume of up to 58 %. The frameworks were obtained through non‐interpenetrated stacking of a hexagonal sheet possessing three kinds of pores with different sizes and shapes. The activated porous material absorbed CO2 up to 96 cm3 g?1 at 195 K under 1 atm.  相似文献

Novel biodegradable polymers with specific properties, structures, and tailorable designs or modifications are in great demand. Poly(phosphoester)s with good biocompatibility and degradability, as well as other adjustable properties have been studied widely because of their potential in biomedical applications. To meet more versatile and diverse biomedical applications, a novel multiarm star‐shaped phosphorester triblock copolymer poly(amido amine)‐block‐poly(2‐butynyl phospholane)‐block‐poly(2‐methoxy phospholane) (PAMAM‐PBYP‐PMP) is synthesized via organo‐catalyzed sequential ring‐opening polymerization. Supramolecular micelles with good architectural stability are self‐assembled into uniform spherical morphology in aqueous solution. Doxorubicin (DOX) can be encapsulated into the micelles with efficient loading capacity. A slow and sustained release in the environment of simulated intracellular lysosome (pH 5.0 with phosphodiesterase I) is observed. In addition, the copolymers and DOX‐loaded supramolecular micelles exhibit low cell‐toxicity and excellent anticancer activity toward HeLa cells. As a consequence, this multiarm star‐shaped PAMAM‐PBYP‐PMP has great potential in drug delivery system for tumor treatment.

Metal–organic framework (MOF)‐based energetic material [Cu3(MA)2(N3)3] ( 1 ; MA=melamine) was synthesized and structurally characterized (47.55 % N). The structural analysis revealed the existence of unusual multiwalled tubular channels and interweaving of single and double helical units in 1 . The standard molar enthalpy of formation was found to be 1788.73 kJ mol?1, which is the highest value among previously reported MOF‐based energetic materials. The calculated detonation properties showed that 1 can be used as a potential explosive. Sensitivity tests revealed that 1 is insensitive and thus can function as a high‐energy‐density material with a favorable level of safety.  相似文献

We report the synthesis and characterization of a water‐soluble, star‐shaped macromolecular platform consisting of eight β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) units anchored to the narrower rim of a γ‐CD core through bis(triazolyl)alkyl spacers. The efficient synthetic protocol is based on the microwave (MW)‐promoted Cu‐catalyzed 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition of CD monoazides to CD monoacetylenes. The ligand‐hosting capability of the construct has been assessed by relaxometric titration and nuclear magnetic relaxation dispersion (NMRD) profiling, which showed it to be good, and this was supported by molecular dynamics simulations. To demonstrate the feasibility of obtaining supramolecular structures with high hosting ability, we designed a dimeric platform, formed by joining two nonamers through the γ‐CD cores through a bis(lithocholic acid) linker. With a view to the potential biological applications, cytotoxicity and extent of binding to human serum albumin were assessed. The properties of this dendrimeric multicarrier make it suitable for pharmaceutical and diagnostic purposes, ranging from targeted drug delivery to molecular imaging.  相似文献
