Herein we report, a series of new benzimidazolium chlorides as N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligand and their corresponding palladium(II)-NHC complexes with the general formula [PdCl2(NHC)2] were synthesized. All new compounds were characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis techniques. The catalytic activity of palladium(II)-NHC complexes was investigated in the direct C2- or C5-arylation of thiazoles with aryl bromides in presence of palladium(II)-NHC at 150?°C for 1?h. These complexes exhibited the good catalytic performance for the direct arylation of thiazoles. The arylation of thiazoles regioselectively produced C2- or C5-arylated thiazoles in moderate to high yields.  相似文献

A dramatic improvement of the catalytic activity was observed when a phosphine was added in allylic alkylation reactions catalyzed by (NHC)Pd(η3-C3H5)Cl complexes. Consequently, several palladium complexes, generated in situ from different NHC-silver complexes, [Pd(η3-C3H5)Cl]2 and PPh3, were tested in this reaction to evaluate their potential. High reaction rates and conversions could be obtained with this catalytic system in the alkylation of allylic acetates with dimethylmalonate, particularly under biphasic conditions using water/dichloromethane and KOH 1 M as the base. These conditions are experimentally more convenient and gave higher reaction rates than the classical anhydrous conditions (NaH/THF). In this system, the phosphine is essential since no conversion was obtained when it is not present. The steric hindrance of the carbene ligand has a great influence on the activity and the stability of the catalytic system. The best NHC ligands for this reaction are either 1-mesityl-3-methyl-imidazol-2-ylidene or 1-(2,6-diisopropylphenyl)-3-methyl-imidazol-2-ylidene which are less bulky among the NHC tested. These two ligands led in 5 min to a complete conversion at 20 °C. The Pd-catalyzed allylic amination reaction using (E)-1,3-diphenylprop-3-en-yl acetate and benzylamine was also tested with (NHC)(PPh3)Pd complexes and under the biphasic conditions. This reaction was found to be slower than the alkylation with dimethylmalonate but a complete conversion could be reached in 6 h at 20 °C using K2CO3 1 M as the base. NMR experiments indicated that mixed (NHC)(PPh3)Pd complexes are formed in situ but their structure could not be established exactly.  相似文献

The development of enantiomerically resolved, axially-chiral seven-membered N-heterocyclic carbene (7NHC) ligands for palladium is described. These 7NHC ligands are derived from enatiomerically pure 2,2′-diamino-6,6′-dimethylbiphenyl, which is transformed via a synthetic sequence consisting of ortho-arylation, N-alkylation, and cyclization to afford seven-membered-ring amidinium salts. Synthesis of the seven-membered amidinium salts benefits from microwave irradiation, and in-situ metalation of the amidinium salts yields 7NHC-PdII complexes. The chiral 7NHC-Pd complexes were examined as chiral catalysts under aerobic conditions in two intramolecular oxidative amination reactions of alkenes. In one case, enantioselectivities up to 63% ee were obtained, while the other substrate underwent cyclization to afford essentially racemic products. The catalytic data compare favorably to results obtained with a PdII catalyst bearing a chiral five-membered-ring NHC ligand and, thereby, highlight the potential significance of this new class of chiral NHC ligands.  相似文献

Palladium-catalyzed α-arylation of ketones, which can efficiently give coupling products by using appropriate ligands and bases, could be applied to a polycondensation reaction. Stable N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHC) were used as favorable ligands coordinating the Pd catalysts, which were generated in situ from commercially available palladium compounds such as Pd(OAc)2 and Pd2(dba)3 as suitable catalyst precursors in this polymerization. Using small amounts of binary catalysts, poly(aryl alkyl ketone)s were afforded in high yields from haloarylketones in the presence of a base. A primarily prepared palladium catalyst having an NHC ligand, [Pd(OAc)2(NHC)], also efficiently catalyzed the polycondensation, whereas a palladium compound bearing two carbene ligands, [PdX2(NHC)2], did not.  相似文献

New Pd(II), Pt(II) and Rh(I) N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) complexes containing two NHC units linked by an ortho-xylyl group are described and structurally and spectroscopically characterised. The Pt(II) complexes represent the first examples of Pt-bis(NHC) complexes where the NHC units are linked by an ortho-xylyl group. Functionalisation of the bis(NHC) ligands with heptyl groups has been used as a means of enhancing the solubility of the complexes, in order to facilitate spectroscopic characterisation and catalytic studies. The catalytic activity of the palladium(II) complexes in Heck and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions has been examined to investigate any effects of the diverse structural changes, though these appear to be insignificant.  相似文献

1,3‐Diarylsubstituted imidazolinium salts, (NHC‐H)Cl, 3, containing hydrogen or alkyl groups at the 4,5‐positions of the imidazolidine ring, served as precursors to rhodium(I) complexes [RhCl(NHC)COD], 4, which were converted into cis‐[RhCl(NHC)(CO)2] complexes, 5. All compounds prepared were characterized by elemental analyses, 1H NMR and 13C NMR. The relative σ‐donor/π‐acceptor strength of the NHC ligands was determined by means of IR spectroscopy of 5. The ability of NHCs in 4 to enchance activity was explored in the 1,2‐addition of phenylboronic acid to aldehydes. A good correlation was observed between catalytic activity and the electron‐donating power of the NHC ligands. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The preparation of palladium (II) complexes having sterically congested azetidines as ligands is described. Diastereomerically pure α-alkylamino and α-alkylimino azetidines react with Na2PdCl4 to afford the corresponding bidendate Pd(II) complexes, whereas 2-cyano azetidines can be used to access bidendate Pd(II) complexes containing an amino-imidate moiety. Preliminary study of the catalytic activity of these new complexes in the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction is presented.  相似文献

Ligand design is crucial for the development of new catalysts and materials with new properties. Herein, the synthesis and unique hemilabile coordination properties of new bis-pyridylidene amine (bis-PYE) ligands to palladium, and preliminary catalytic activity of these complexes in formic acid dehydrogenation are described. The synthetic pathway to form cationic complexes [Pd(bis-PYE)Cl(L)]X with a cis-coordinated N,N-bidentate bis-PYE ligand is flexible and provides access to a diversity of PdII complexes with different ancillary ligands (L=pyridine, DMAP, PPh3, Cl, P(OMe)3). The 1H NMR chemical shift of the trans-positioned PYE N−CH3 unit is identified as a convenient and diagnostic handle to probe the donor properties of these ancillary ligands and demonstrates the electronic flexibility of the PYE ligand sites. In the presence of a base, the originally cis-coordinated bis-PYE ligand adopts a N,N,N-tridentate coordination mode with the two PYE units in mutual trans position. This cis–trans isomerization is reverted in presence of an acid, demonstrating a unique structural and steric flexibility of the bis-PYE ligand at palladium in addition to its electronic adaptability. The palladium complexes are active in formic acid dehydrogenation to H2 and CO2. The catalytic performance is directly dependent on the ligand bonding mode, the nature of the ancillary ligand, the counteranion, and additives. The most active system features a bidentate bis-PYE ligand, PPh3 as ancillary ligand and accomplishes turnover frequencies up to 525 h−1 in the first hour and turnover numbers of nearly 1000, which is the highest activity reported for palladium-based catalysts to date.  相似文献

[(PPh3)3(PPh2)2Pd3Cl] Cl, benzene and aniline hydrochloride were isolated as products of the reactions of (PPh3)2PdCl2]2 or [(PPh3)PdCl2]2 with H2 in organic amines (Am). Similar products were obtained when (Ph3P)2Pd(Ph)Br was treated with H23 Both in amines and aromatic solvents. The reaction between H2 and [(PBu3)PdCl2]2 resulted in the formation of [(PBu3(PBu2)PdCl2 ·. 2 Am The kinetic data for H2 absorption by solutions of palladium(II) complexes are consistent with the heterolytic mechanism of cleavage fo hte HH bond in the coordination sphere of palladium(II); the function of the H+ acceptor being performed by the bases (e.g. Am or Ph). The reaction between the palladium complexes and H2 is autocatalytic. Reduction of the initial PdII complexes leads to lower oxidation state palladium complexes, which catalyse the reduction of PdII complexes. In the coordination sphere of the lower oxidation state palladium complexes, the oxidative addition of PR3 to Pd takes place with formation of compounds containing a Pd-R bond. It is the reaction between these complexes and H2 that yields palladium compounds with PR2 ligands.  相似文献

The catalytic system Pd/C—HCl is highly active in the reduction of mandelic acid derivatives to phenylacetic acid derivatives with carbon monoxide when the aromatic ring is para-substituted with a hydroxy group. Typical reaction conditions are: 70–110 °C, 20–100 atm of carbon monoxide, benzene—ethanol as reaction medium, substrate/Pd=102–104/1, HCl/substrate=0.3–0.8/1. [Pd] = 10−2 −10−4 M. When the catalytic system is used in combination with PPh3 a slightly higher activity is observed. Comparable results are observed when using a Pd(II) catalyst precursor such as PdX2, in combination with PPh3, or PdX2(PPh3)2 (XCl, AcO). When operating at 110 °C, decomposition to metallic palladium occurs. Pd(II) complexes with diphosphine ligands, such as diphenylphosphinemethane, -ethane, -propane or -butane, do not show any catalytic activity and are recovered unchanged. These observations suggest that Pd(0) complexes play a key role in the catalytic cycle. The proposed catalytic cycle proceeds as follows: the chloride ArCHClCOOR, formed in situ upon reaction of ArCHOHCOOR with hydrochloric acid, oxidatively adds to a Pd(0) species with formation of a catalytic intermediate having a Pd—[CH(Ar)COOR] moiety, which inserts a CO molecule, yielding an acyl intermediate of the type Pd—[COCH(Ar)COOR]. The nucleophilic attack of H2O on the carbon atom of the carbonyl ligand gives back the Pd(0) complex to the catalytic cycle and yields a phenylmalonic acid derivative, which produces the final product, ArCH2COOR, upon CO2 evolution. Alternatively, protonolysis of the intermediate having a Pd—[CH(Ar)COOR] moiety yields directly the final product and a Pd(II) species, which is then reduced by CO to Pd(0). Moreover, no catalytic activity is observed when the Pd/C—HCl system is used in combination with any one of the above diphosphine ligands, probably because these ligands block the sites on the catalyst able to promote the catalytic cycle or because they prevent the reduction of Pd(II) to Pd(0). The influence of the following reaction parameters has been studied: concentration of HCl, PPh3, palladium and substrate, pressure of carbon monoxide, the temperature, reaction time and solvent. The results are compared with those obtained in the carbonylation of aromatic aldehydes to phenylacetic acid derivatives catalyzed by the same system, for which it has been proposed that the catalysis occurs via carbonylation of the aldehyde to a mandelic acid derivative as an intermediate, which is further reduced with CO to yield the final product.  相似文献

Rhodium complexes bearing N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands were prepared from bis(η4-1,5-cyclooctadiene) dichlorodirhodium and 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium-2-carboxylate, and the catalytic properties of rhodium complexes prepared in the hydrosilylation of alkenes in ionic liquid media were investigated. It was found that both the catalytic activity and selectivity of the rhodium complexes bearing NHC ligands were influenced by the attached substituents of the imidazolium cation. Additionally, rhodium complexes bearing NHC ligands in ionic liquid BMimPF6 could be reused without noticeable loss of catalytic activity and selectivity.  相似文献

Four dinuclear N ‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) palladium complexes were prepared by reaction of imidazolinium salts, PdCl2 and bridging ligands (piperazine and DABCO) in one pot or by direct cleavage of the chloro‐bridged dimeric compounds [Pd(μ ‐Cl)(Cl)(NHC)]2 with bridging ligands. All of the complexes were fully characterized using 1H NMR, 13C NMR, high‐resolution mass and infrared spectroscopies, elemental analysis and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. The catalytic activities of the obtained palladium catalysts towards Hiyama coupling of aryl chlorides with phenyltrimethoxysilane were investigated and the results showed that the dinuclear palladium complexes were considerably active for the coupling reaction. Aminocarbonylation of aryl halides, homogeneously catalysed by palladium, is an efficient method that can be employed for obtaining amides for pharmaceutical and synthetic applications. In this work, palladium (II) complexes containing P^N ligands were studied as catalysts in the aminocarbonylation of iodobenzene in the presence of diethylamine. Two types of systems were used: a palladium (II) complex formed in situ; and one prepared prior to the catalytic reaction. In general, the palladium complexes studied achieved high conversions in an average reaction time of less than 2 hr, which is less than that for the standard system (Pd (II)/PPh3) used. The pre‐synthesized complexes were faster than their in situ counterparts, as the latter require an induction time to form the Pd/P^N species. The structure and electronic properties of the ligand P^N can influence both the activity and the selectivity of the reaction, stabilizing the acyl‐palladium intermediates formed in a better manner.  相似文献

Three half-sandwichruthenium(II) complexes with pyridine/phenylene bridged NHC = E (NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene, E = S, Se) ligands [Ru(p-cymene)L](PF6)1–2 ( 1a–1c , L = ligand) were synthesized and characterized. All ruthenium complexes were fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectra, mass spectrometry, and single-crystalX-ray diffraction methods. Moreover, the half-sandwich ruthenium complexes with NHC = E ligands showed highly catalytic activities towards to the tandem dehydrogenation of ammonia borane (AB) and hydrogenation of R–NO2 to R–NH2 at 353 K in water.  相似文献

Abstract

A family of five palladium(II) 2-(arylazo)naphtholate complexes, [PdCl(PPh3)(L)] (L?=?O, N-donor of bidentate 2-(arylazo)naphtholate ligands), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and spectral (FT-IR, UV–Vis, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR) methods. Further, the catalytic efficiency of all the complexes have been investigated for Suzuki and Sonogashira coupling reaction of various aryl halides.  相似文献

A computational study of the interaction half‐sandwich metal fragments (metal = Re/W, electron count = d6), containing linear nitrosyl (NO+), carbon monoxide (CO), trifluorophosphine (PF3), N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands with alkanes are conducted using density functional theory employing the hybrid meta‐GGA functional (M06). Electron deficiency on the metal increases with the ligand in the order NHC < CO < PF3 < NO+. Electron‐withdrawing ligands like NO+ lead to more stable alkane complexes than NHC, a strong electron donor. Energy decomposition analysis shows that stabilization is due to orbital interaction involving charge transfer from the alkane to the metal. Reactivity and dynamics of the alkane fragment are facilitated by electron donors on the metal. These results match most of the experimental results known for CO and PF3 complexes. The study suggests activation of alkane in metal complexes to be facile with strong donor ligands like NHC. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

Summary New cyclometallated complexes of palladium containing substitutedN-(benzylidene)amines have been prepared and characterized. Palladium(II) acetate is used to make the acetato-bridged dimers, which undergo metathetical reactions to give the halo-bridged dimers. These when treated with PPh3 or P(C6H11)3 in a 12 molar ratio yield the phosphine monomers. I.r. and1H n.m.r. studies show that palladium is coordinated through nitrogen, and also reveal the disposition of the halogen and phosphine ligands in the monomeric complexes.  相似文献

A series of well-defined N-heterocyclic carbene palladium (II) complexes with general formula (NHC)Pd(N˄O)(OAc) were prepared through reaction of Pd (NHC)(OAc)2(H2O) with 1-methyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid or 1-methyl-1H-indazole-3-carboxylic acid in the presence of K2CO3. These complexes were then used for desulfinative Sonogashira coupling of arylsulfonyl hydrazides with terminal alkynes. With low catalyst loading, all synthesized palladium compounds exhibited moderate to high catalytic activities for the reactions.  相似文献

A series of novel quasi‐scorpionate CNC donor ligands, MeC(2‐C5H4N){CH2(imidazole‐R)} (R = methyl, n‐butyl, n‐propenyl), in which a chelating bis(NHC) core is supplemented by a hemi‐labile pyridyl donor, were prepared. The coordination chemistry of these ligands was investigated with silver, palladium, rhodium and iridium. The single crystal X‐ray structures of [Rh(NC2Me)(COD)]Cl 8a and [Ir(NC2Pr)(COD)]Br 9b were determined. The catalytic potential of the rhodium and iridium complexes was assessed in the transfer hydrogenation of ketones; the iridium complexes, which show superior performance, form very effective and stable catalysts.
