In the present work, the SnO2/graphene nanocomposite composed of 4–5 nm SnO2 nanoparticles was synthesized using a simple wet chemical method for ppb-level detection of benzene. The formation mechanism of the nanocomposite was investigated systematically by means of simultaneous thermogravimetry analysis, X-ray diffraction, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy cooperated with transmission electron microscopy observations. The SnO2/graphene nanocomposite showed a very attractive improved sensitivity to toxic volatile organic compounds, especially to benzene, compared to a traditional SnO2. The responses of the nanocomposite to benzene were a little higher than those to ethanol and the detection limit reached 5 ppb to benzene which is, to our best knowledge, far lower than those reported previously.  相似文献

Nanocrystalline tin (Sn) compounds such as SnO2, SnS2, SnS, and graphene nanocomposites were prepared using hydrothermal method. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of the prepared nanocomposite reveals the presence of tetragonal SnO2, hexagonal SnS2, and orthorhombic SnS crystalline structure in the SnO2/graphene nanosheets (GNS), SnS2/GNS, and SnS/GNS nanocomposites, respectively. Raman spectroscopic studies of the nanocomposites confirm the existence of graphene in the nanocomposites. The transmission electron microscopy (TEM) images of the nanocomposites revealed the formation of homogeneous nanocrystalline SnO2, SnS2, and SnS particle. The weight ratio of graphene and Sn compound in the nanocomposite was estimated using thermogravimetric (TG) analysis. The cyclic voltammetry experiment shows the irreversible formation of Li2O and Li2S, and reversible lithium-ion (Li-ion) storage in Sn and GNS. The charge–discharge profile of the nanocomposite electrodes indicates the high capacity for the Li-ion storage, and the cycling study indicates the fast capacity fading due to the poor electrical conductivity of the nanocomposite electrodes. Hence, the ratio of Sn compounds (SnO2) and GNS have been altered. Among the examined SnO2:GNS nanocomposites ratios (35:65, 50:50, and 80:20), the nanocomposite 50:50wt% shows high Li-ion storage capacity (400 mAh/g after 25 cycles) and good cyclability. Thus, it is necessary to modify GNS and Sn compound composition in the nanocomposite to achieve good cyclability.  相似文献

Polyaniline(PANI)/Tin oxide (SnO2) hybrid nanocomposite with a diameter 20–30 nm was prepared by co-precipitation process of SnO2 through in situ chemical polymerization of aniline using ammonium persulphate as an oxidizing agent. The resulting nanocomposite material was characterized by different techniques, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and Ultraviolet–Visible spectroscopy (UV–Vis), which offered the information about the chemical structure of polymer, whereas electron microscopy images provided information regarding the morphology of the nanocomposite materials and the distribution of the metal particles in the nanocomposite material. SEM observation showed that the prepared SnO2 nanoparticles were uniformly dispersed and highly stabilized throughout the macromolecular chain that formed a uniform metal-polymer nanocomposite material. UV–Vis absorption spectra of PANI/SnO2 nanocomposites were studied to explore the optical behavior after doping of nanoparticles into PANI matrix. The incorporation of SnO2 nanoparticles gives rise to the red shift of π–π1 transition of polyaniline. Thermal stability of PANI and PANI/SnO2 nanocomposite was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). PANI/SnO2 nanocomposite observed maximum conductivity (6.4 × 10?3 scm?1) was found 9 wt% loading of PANI in SnO2.  相似文献

A SnO2/CdS nanocomposite based on the flowerlike clusters of SnO2 nanorods was prepared and characterized with x-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and EDX analysis. The SEM and TEM images show the nanocomposite is composed of CdS nanoparticles and flowerlike clusters of SnO2 nanorods. The UV–vis spectrum of the nanocomposite displays a new absorption band in the region of 350 to 530 nm, compared with that of the flowerlike clusters of SnO2 nanorods. The measurement of optoelectronic property indicates that the photoresponse of the composite is extended into the visible region and the incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) of the composite is up to 6.5 in the range of 400 to 440 nm. These phenomena ought to be ascribed to the special nanostructure of the SnO2/CdS composite obtained.  相似文献

A photoelectrochemical cell with a coupled SnO2|CdSe nanocrystalline semiconductor electrode has been prepared by sequential deposition of SnO2 and CdSe films onto an optically transparent electrode (OTE), and its photoelectrochemical behavior has been studied. The results show that the coupling of CdSe with SnO2 leads to an improvement in the performance of OTE|SnO2|CdSe over OTE|CdSe cells in terms of increased incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency, increased stability and smaller reversal of current. The favorable positioning of the energy bands of SnO2 and CdSe is responsible for the above observations. Various photoelectrochemical parameters of the OTE|SnO2|CdSe cell obtained for an incident light power of 0.31 mW cm−2 at 470nm, are as follows: Isc ≈ 25–30 μA cm−2, Voc ≈ 0.5–0.6 V, ƒƒ = 0.47 and a power conversion efficiency of about 2.25%.  相似文献

In this paper, Au–TiO2/Chit modified electrode was prepared with Au–TiO2 nanocomposite (Au–TiO2) and Chitosan (Chit) as a conjunct. The Au–TiO2 nanocomposite and the films were characterized by electrochemical and spectroscopy methods. A set of experimental conditions was also optimized for the film's fabrication. The electrochemical and electrocatalytic behaviors of Au–TiO2/Chit modified electrode to trace organophosphates (OPs) insecticides such as parathion were discussed in this work. By differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) measurement, the current responses of Au–TiO2/Chit modified electrode were linear with parathion concentration ranging from 1.0 ng/ml to 7.0 × 103 ng/ml with the detection limit of 0.5 ng/ml. In order to evaluate the performance of the detection system, we also examined the real samples successfully in this work. It exhibited a sensitive, rapid and easy-to-use method for the fast determination of trace OPs insecticides.  相似文献

Mesoporous MnO2 (mesoMnO2) is synthesized facilely through sol–gel process using nonionic surfactant polyxyethylene fatty alcohol (AEO9) as template. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image and N2 adsorption/desorption isotherm show that the obtained mesoMnO2 material presents disordered porous structure and appropriate pore size suitable for the immobilization of glucose oxidase (GOx). An amperometric glucose biosensor based on GOx entrapped in mesoMnO2 is fabricated, in which mesoMnO2 also acts as a catalyst for the electrochemical oxidation of H2O2 produced by enzyme reaction. The biosensor shows fast and sensitive current response to glucose in the linear range of 0.0009–2.73 mM. The response time (t95%) is less than 7 s. The sensitivity and detection limit are 24.2 μA cm−2 mM−1 and 1.8 × 10−7 M (S/N = 3), respectively. This indicates that mesoMnO2 has promising application in enzyme immobilization and biosensor construction.  相似文献

Ag(core)–AgCl(shell) microcrystal composites (Ag@AgCl) have been formed on an α-Fe2O3 film-coated SnO2 electrode by a 2 step method consisting of the electrochemical reduction of Ag+ ions and the subsequent electrochemical oxidation. The synergy of α-Fe2O3 and Ag@AgCl gave rise to a high visible light-induced reactivity (λex > 420 nm) for the oxidation of 2-naphthol (2-NAP) used as a model water pollutant in the presence and absence of oxygen. These findings were attributable to the function of Ag@AgCl composites as an excellent charge-separation promoter and built-in acceptor.  相似文献

In spite of their low cost, high activity, and diversity, metal oxide catalysts have not been widely applied in vanadium redox reactions due to their poor conductivity and low surface area. Herein, SnO2/reduced graphene oxide (SnO2/rGO) composite was prepared by a sol–gel method followed by high-temperature carbonization. SnO2/rGO shows better electrochemical catalysis for both redox reactions of VO2+/VO2+ and V2+/V3+ couples as compared to SnO2 and graphene oxide. This is attributed to the fact that reduced graphene oxide is employed as carbon support featuring excellent conductivity and a large surface area, which offers fast electron transfer and a large reaction place towards vanadium redox reaction. Moreover, SnO2 has excellent electrochemical activity and wettability, which also boost the electrochemical kinetics of redox reaction. In brief, the electrochemical properties for vanadium redox reactions are boosted in terms of diffusion, charge transfer, and electron transport processes systematically. Next, SnO2/rGO can increase the energy storage performance of cells, including higher discharge electrolyte utilization and lower electrochemical polarization. At 150 mA cm−2, the energy efficiency of a modified cell is 69.8%, which is increased by 5.7% compared with a pristine one. This work provides a promising method to develop composite catalysts of carbon materials and metal oxide for vanadium redox reactions.  相似文献

The structures of several Ga2O3–In2O3–SnO2 phases were investigated using high-resolution electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Rietveld analysis of time-of-flight neutron diffraction data. The phases, expressed as Ga4−4xIn4xSnn−4O2n−2 (n=6 and 7–17, odd), are intergrowths between the β-gallia structure of (Ga,In)2O3 and the rutile structure of SnO2. Samples prepared with n≥9 crystallize in C2/m and are isostructural with intergrowths in the Ga2O3–TiO2 system. Samples prepared with n=6 and n=7 are members of an alternative intergrowth series that crystallizes in P2/m. Both intergrowth series are similar in that their members possess 1-D tunnels along the b axis. The difference between the two series is described in terms of different crystallographic shear plane operations (CSP) on the parent rutile structure.  相似文献

SnO2/ZnO nanocomposite was synthesized from mixed ethanol and water systems and the ethanol-sensing properties of sensors based on SnO2/ZnO were investigated. The structure and morphology of the products was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and a field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM). The results showed that the diameter of the liked pine needle SnO2 was about 40 nm with a length about 300 nm, which are uniformly dispersed on the surface of the ZnO nanosheets. The growth process of the SnO2/ZnO nanocomposite was discussed. The results of gas sensing properties of SnO2/ZnO nanocomposite sensor showed high and quick response to ethanol vapor at 5.0 v. This sensor showed the advantages of high selectivity, strong stability, and prompt response/recovery characteristics in detecting ethanol vapor at 5.0 v.  相似文献

The present work deals with the preparation of hybridized electrode material with electrostatic self-assembly strategy for mesalamine (MES) detection. Grabbing significant abilities between the one-dimensional bimetallic oxides and two-dimensional nanosheets network, a nanohybrid was designed. The developed cobalt stannate/reduced graphene oxide (Co2SnO4/rGO)-1D/2D heterostructure will possess improvised anisotropic electron transport, earth abundant, highly conducting, multiple actives site, and higher surface area. The 1D/2D nanostructured architecture will enhance faster electron and mass transport during the electrochemical analysis, which is more significant for MES detection. Progressive testing of Co2SnO4/rGO for structural analysis was done, and highly crystalline nature was proved. The self-assembled nanospheres to form nanocube such as Co2SnO4 strongly attached over the rGO matrix was confirmed with field emission scanning microscope, and nanocube structure is more visible with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. The hierarchical highly electroactive material establishes lower detection limit at 4.9 nM with sensitivity of about 8.57 μA/μM/cm2. The interfacial area of nanocomposite with higher conducting channels to improve the interactions with MES resulted in enhanced selectivity. The practical analysis in environmental, pharmaceutical, and biological fluids (human urine and serum) showed good recovery. The Co2SnO4/rGO will be more prominent and significant as electrode material in electrochemical sensing.  相似文献

Transparent SnO2, nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 and ZrO2 thin films were prepared by sol–gel dip-coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectra showed a mixture of three phases: tetragonal ZrO2 and SnO2 and orthorhombic ZrSnO4. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) gave Zr 3d, Sn 3d and O 1s spectra of the nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 thin film which revealed the presence of oxygen vacancies in the nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 thin film. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations showed that microstructure of the nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 thin film consists of uniform dispersion of isolated SnO2 particles in ZrO2 matrix. The band gap for the ZrO2 was estimated to be 5.51 eV and that for the nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 film was 4.9 eV. These films demonstrated the tailoring of band gap values which can be directly employed in tuning the band gap by simply changing the relative concentration of zirconium and tin elements. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra revealed an intense emission peak at 424 nm in the nanocomposite ZrO2–SnO2 film which indicate the presence of oxygen vacancies in ZrSnO4.  相似文献

Monodispersed TiO2 hybrid microspheres were prepared via the hydrolysis of titanium isopropoxide (TTIP) in ethanol solution containing p-aminophenylacetic acid (APA). The effects of the APA:TTIP molar ratio, water content, reaction time and reaction temperature on the morphology of the resultant spheres were investigated. The products were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and X-ray diffraction. It was demonstrated that the diameters of the resultant TiO2 spheres could be tuned in the range of 380–800 nm by changing the APA:TTIP molar ratio (1:3 to 3:1) and water content (1–3 v/v%) in the reaction medium, and that increasing the APA:TTIP molar ratio led to larger TiO2 hybrid spheres while increasing the water content decreased their size. The loading content of APA in the hybrid spheres could reach 20 wt.% as they were prepared with the APA:TTIP ratio of 3:1. The possible formation mechanism of the hybrid spheres was also investigated. It was found that APA slowed down the hydrolysis rate of the titanium precursor so that resulted in the formation of the TiO2 spheres. In addition, the APA present in TiO2 spheres acted as a reducing agent to in situ convert HAuCl4 into metallic Au on the surface of the TiO2 spheres. The catalytic activity of the resultant Au/APA–TiO2 composite was examined using transfer hydrogenation of phenylacetone with 2-propanol, and it was indicated that the catalyst displayed high efficiency for this reaction.  相似文献

We developed a facile synthetic route of porous cobalt oxide (Co3O4) nanorods via a microemulsion-based method in combination with subsequent calcination process. The porous structure was formed by controlled decomposition of the microemulsion-synthesized precursor CoC2O4 nanorods without destruction of the original morphology. The as-prepared Co3O4 nanorods, consisting of small nanoparticles with diameter of 80–150 nm, had an average diameter of 200 nm and a length of 3–5 μm. The morphology and structure of synthesized samples were characterized by transmission electron microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. The phase and composition were investigated by X-ray powder diffraction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The optical property of Co3O4 nanorods was investigated. Moreover, the porous Co3O4 nanorods exhibited high electrochemical performance when applied as cathode materials for lithium-ion batteries, which gives them good potential applications.  相似文献

Fe2O3/SiO2 nanocomposites based on fumed silica A-300 (SBET = 337 m2/g) with iron oxide deposits at different content were synthesized using Fe(III) acetylacetonate (Fe(acac)3) dissolved in isopropyl alcohol or carbon tetrachloride for impregnation of the nanosilica powder at different amounts of Fe(acac)3 then oxidized in air at 400–900 °C. Samples with Fe(acac)3 adsorbed onto nanosilica and samples with Fe2O3/SiO2 including 6–17 wt% of Fe2O3 were investigated using XRD, XPS, TG/DTA, TPD MS, FTIR, AFM, nitrogen adsorption, Mössbauer spectroscopy, and quantum chemistry methods. The structural characteristics and phase composition of Fe2O3 deposits depend on reaction conditions, solvent type, content of grafted iron oxide, and post-reaction treatments. The iron oxide deposits on A-300 (impregnated by the Fe(acac)3 solution in isopropanol) treated at 500–600 °C include several phases characterized by different nanoparticle size distributions; however, in the case of impregnation of A-300 by the Fe(acac)3 solution in carbon tetrachloride only α-Fe2O3 phase is formed in addition to amorphous Fe2O3. The Fe2O3/SiO2 materials remain loose (similar to the A-300 matrix) at the bulk density of 0.12–0.15 g/cm3 and SBET = 265–310 m2/g.  相似文献

A new electrocatalyst, MnO2/graphene oxide hybrid nanostructure was successfully synthesized for the nonenzymatic detection of H2O2. The morphological characterization was examined by scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy. The MnO2/graphene oxide based electrodes showed high electrochemical activity for the detection of H2O2 in alkaline medium. The nonenzymatic biosensors displayed good performance along with low working potential, high sensitivity, low detection limit, and long-term stability, which could be attributed to the high surface area of graphene oxide providing for the deposition of MnO2 nanoparticles. These results demonstrate that this new nanocomposite with the high surface area and electrocatalytic activity offers great promise for new class of nanostructured electrode for nonenzymatic biosensor and energy conversion applications.  相似文献

Li2O–Cr2O3–GeO2–P2O5 based glasses were synthesized by a conventional melt-quenching method and successfully converted into glass-ceramics through heat treatment. Experimental results of DTA, XRD, ac impedance techniques and FESEM indicated that Li1.4Cr0.4Ge1.6(PO4)3 glass-ceramics treated at 900 °C for 12 h in the Li1 + xCrxGe2 − x(PO4)3 (x = 0–0.8) system exhibited the best glass stability against crystallization and the highest ambient conductivity value of 6.81 × 10−4 S/cm with an activation energy as low as 26.9 kJ/mol. In addition, the Li1.4Cr0.4Ge1.6(PO4)3 glass-ceramics displayed good chemical stability against lithium metal at room temperature. The good thermal and chemical stability, excellent conducting property, easy preparation and low cost make it promising to be used as solid-state electrolytes for all-solid-state lithium batteries.  相似文献

In this paper, we have reported the preparation of low cost γ-Al2O3 membrane on a macroporous clay support by dip-coating method. For the synthesis of γ-Al2O3 top layer on the support, a stable boehmite sol is prepared using aluminium chloride salt as a starting material by sol–gel route. The structural properties of the composite membrane as well as γ-Al2O3 powder is carried out using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherm data, Fourier transform infrared analysis (FTIR) and dynamic light scattering (DLS) analysis. The mean particle size of the boehmite sol used for coating is found to be 30.9 nm. The pore size distribution of the γ-Al2O3–clay composite membrane is found to be in the range of 5.4–13.6 nm. Separation performance of the membrane in terms of flux and rejection of single salts solution such as MgCl2 and AlCl3 as a function of pH, salt concentration and applied pressure is also studied. The rejection and flux behavior are found to be strongly dependent on electrostatic interaction between the charged molecules and γ-Al2O3–clay composite membrane. The intrinsic rejection has been determined by calculating the concentration at membrane surface (Cm) using Speigler–Kedem model. It is found that the observed rejection shows anomalous trend with increase in applied pressure and the intrinsic rejection increases with increase in applied pressure, a trend typical of the separation of electrolyte through charged membranes. At acidic pH, both the salt solution shows higher rejection. With increase in the salt concentration, observed rejection of salt decreases due to the enhanced concentration polarization. The maximum rejection of MgCl2 and AlCl3 is found to be 72% and 88%, respectively for salt concentration of 3000 ppm.  相似文献

A tin oxide-titanium oxide/graphene (SnO2-TiO2/G) ternary nanocomposite as high-performance anode for Li-ion batteries was prepared via a simple reflux method. The graphite oxide (GO) was reduced to graphene nanosheet, and the SnO2-TiO2 nanocomposites were evenly distributed on the graphene matrix in the SnO2-TiO2/G nanocomposite. The as-prepared SnO2-TiO2/G nanocomposites were employed as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, showing an outstanding performance with high reversible capacity and long cycle life. The composite delivered a superior initial discharge capacity of 1,594.6 mAh g?1 and a reversible specific capacity of 1,500.3 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1. After 100 cycles, the reversible discharge capacity was still maintained at 1,177.4 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 with a high retained rate of reversible capacity of 73.8 %. The addition of small amount of TiO2 nanoparticles improved the cycling stability and specific capacity of SnO2-TiO2/G nanocomposite, obviously. The results demonstrate that the SnO2-TiO2/G nanocomposite is a promising alternative anode material for practical Li-ion batteries.  相似文献
