The problem of modelling a smooth contour with a regular change in curvature representing a monotone curve with specified accuracy is solved in this article. The contour was formed within the area of the possible location of a convex curve, which can interpolate a point series. The assumption that if a sequence of points can be interpolated by a monotone curve, then the reference curve on which these points have been assigned is monotone, provides the opportunity to implement the proposed approach to estimate the interpolation error of a point series of arbitrary configuration. The proposed methods for forming a convex regular contour by arcs of ellipses and B-spline ensure the interpolation of any point series in parts that can be interpolated by a monotone curve. At the same time, the deflection of the contour from the boundaries of the area of the possible location of the monotone curve can be controlled. The possibilities of the developed methods are tested while solving problems of the interpolation of a point series belonging to monotone curves. The problems are solved in the CAD system of SolidWorks with the use of software application created based on the methods developed in the research work.  相似文献

An algorithm is presented for computing the topological entropy of a piecewise monotone map of the interval having three monotone pieces. The accuracy of the algorithm is discussed and some graphs of the topological entropy obtained using the algorithm are displayed. Some of the ideas behind the algorithm have application to piecewise monotone functions with more than three monotone pieces.  相似文献

We introduce a class of monotone σ-complete effect algebras, called representable, which are σ-homomorphic images of a class of monotone σ-complete effect algebras of functions taking values in the interval [0, 1] and with effect algebra operations defined by points. We exhibit different types of compatibilities and show their connection to representability. Finally, we study observables and show situations when information of an observable on all intervals of the form (?∞, t) gives full information about the observable.  相似文献

We developed a new monotone finite volume method for diffusion equations. The second-order linear methods, such as the multipoint flux approximation, mixed finite element and mimetic finite difference methods, are not monotone on strongly anisotropic meshes or for diffusion problems with strongly anisotropic coefficients. The finite volume (FV) method with linear two-point flux approximation is monotone but not even first-order accurate in these cases. The developed monotone method is based on a nonlinear two-point flux approximation. It does not require any interpolation scheme and thus differs from other nonlinear finite volume methods based on a two-point flux approximation. The second-order convergence rate is verified with numerical experiments.  相似文献

We construct a new nonlinear monotone finite volume scheme for diffusion equation on polygonal meshes. The new scheme uses the cell-edge unknowns instead of cell-vertex unknowns as the auxiliary unknowns in order to improve the accuracy of monotone scheme. Our scheme is locally conservative and has only cell-centered unknowns. Numerical results are presented to show how our scheme works for preserving positivity on various distorted meshes. Specially, numerical results show that the new scheme is robust, and more accurate than the existing monotone scheme on some kinds of meshes.  相似文献

We establish entanglement monotones in terms of an operational approach,which is closely connected with the state conversion from pure states to the objective state by the local operations and classical communications.It is shown that any good entanglement quantifier defined on pure states can induce an entanglement monotone for all density matrices.Particularly,we show that our entanglement monotone is the maximal one among all those having the same form for pure states.In some special cases,our proposed entanglement monotones turn to be equivalent to the convex roof construction,which hence gain an operational meaning.Some examples are given to demonstrate different cases.  相似文献

The attempt to find effective algorithms for calculating the topological entropy of piecewise monotone maps of the interval having more than three monotone pieces has proved to be a difficult problem. The algorithm introduced here is motivated by the fact that if f: [0, 1] → [0, 1] is a piecewise monotone map of the unit interval into itself, thenh(f)=limn→∞ (1/n) log Var(f n), where h(f) is the topological entropy off, and Var(f n) is the total variation off n. We show that it is not feasible to use this formula directly to calculate numerically the topological entropy of a piecewise monotone function, because of the slow convergence. However, a close examination of the reasons for this failure leads ultimately to the modified algorithm which is presented in this paper. We prove that this algorithm is equivalent to the standard power method for finding eigenvalues of matrices (with shift of origin) in those cases for which the function is Markov, and present encouraging experimental evidence for the usefulness of the algorithm in general by applying it to several one-parameter families of test functions.  相似文献

We study observables on monotone σ-complete effect algebras. We find conditions when a spectral resolution implies existence of the corresponding observable. We characterize sharp observables of a monotone σ-complete homogeneous effect algebra using its orthoalgebraic skeleton. In addition, we study compatibility in orthoalgebras and we show that every orthoalgebra satisfying RIP is an orthomodular poset.  相似文献

We show that in many examples the non-displaceability of Lagrangian submanifolds by Hamiltonian isotopy can be proved via Lagrangian Floer cohomology with non-unitary line bundle. The examples include all monotone Lagrangian torus fibers in a toric Fano manifold (which was also proven by Entov and Polterovich via the theory of symplectic quasi-states) and some non-monotone Lagrangian torus fibers.  相似文献

On the manifold of positive definite matrices, we investigate the existence of pairs of flat affine connections, dual with respect to a given monotone metric. The connections are defined either using the α-embeddings and finding the duals with respect to the metric, or by means of contrast functionals. We show that in both cases, the existence of such a pair of connections is possible if and only if the metric is given by the Wigner-Yanase-Dyson skew information.  相似文献

It is shown that for the four-disk system and the hyperbola billiard it is possible to construct a new symbolic plane preserving the orientation existing in the dynamical space. We study the convergence properties of the conditional (Kullback–Leibler) entropy in stochastic systems. We have proved general results showing that asymptotic stability is a necessary and sufficient condition for the monotone convergence of the conditional entropy to its maximal value of zero. Additionally we have made specific calculations of the rate of convergence of this entropy to zero in a one-dimensional situation, illustrated by Ornstein–Uhlenbeck and Rayleigh processes, higher dimensional situations, and a two-dimensional Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process with a stochastically perturbed harmonic oscillator and colored noise as examples. We also apply our general results to the problem of conditional entropy convergence in the presence of dichotomous noise. In both the one-dimensional and multidimensional cases we show that the convergence of the conditional entropy to zero is monotone and at least exponential. In the specific cases of the Ornstein–Uhlenbeck and Rayleigh processes, as well as the stochastically perturbed harmonic oscillator and colored noise examples, we obtain exact formulae for the temporal evolution of the conditional entropy starting from a concrete initial distribution. The rather surprising result in this case is that the rate of convergence of the entropy to zero is independent of the noise amplitude.  相似文献

Recently, it was argued that the binegativity might be a good quantifier of entanglement for two-qubit states. Like the concurrence and the negativity, the binegativity is also analytically computable quantifier for all two qubits. Based on numerical evidence, it was conjectured that it is a PPT (positive partial transposition) monotone and thus fulfills the criterion to be a good measure of entanglement. In this work, we investigate its behavior under noisy channels which indicate that the binegativity is decreasing monotonically with respect to increasing noise. We also find that the binegativity is closely connected to the negativity and has closed analytical form for arbitrary two qubits. Our study supports the conjecture that the binegativity is a monotone.  相似文献

The existence and uniqueness of nonnegative strong solutions for stochastic porous media equations with noncoercive monotone diffusivity function and Wiener forcing term is proven. The finite time extinction of solutions with high probability is also proven in 1-D. The results are relevant for self-organized criticality behavior of stochastic nonlinear diffusion equations with critical states.  相似文献

We consider infinitely renormalizable Lorenz maps with real critical exponent α > 1 of certain monotone combinatorial types. We prove the existence of periodic points of the renormalization operator, and that each map in the limit set of renormalization has an associated two-dimensional strong unstable manifold. For monotone families of Lorenz maps we prove that each infinitely renormalizable combinatorial type has a unique representative within the family. We also prove that each infinitely renormalizable map has no wandering intervals, is ergodic, and has a uniquely ergodic minimal Cantor attractor of measure zero.  相似文献

The study of luminescence of high-purity multicomponent silicate glasses excited by radiation of a N2 laser (λ=337 nm, P≈12kW) showed darkening of a sample and a monotone decrease in luminescence intensity and the transmitted radiation intensity from pulse to pulse. Additional illumination with radiation of an Ar+ laser (λ=514.5 nm) caused an increase in luminescence intensity. An increase in absorption and a decrease in luminescence intensity were found to be caused by two-photon absorption and electron-hole pair production.  相似文献

The Wigner-Yanase-Dyson-Lieb concavity is naturally captured in the frame of interpolation theory. Among other results, a certain generalization (involving operator monotone functions) of this concavity in the context of general von Neumann algebras is obtained. Also, a close relationship between the above subjects and F. Hansen's inequality is clarified.
