Poly(4-hydroxystyrene) (PHS) has been used in lithography as a backbone polymer and is also a promising material for extreme-ultraviolet or electron beam lithography. The dynamics of PHS radical cations generated upon exposure to electron beam were investigated. The transient absorption of PHS was observed in the near-infrared region in p-dioxane solutions by pulse radiolysis. Charge resonance (CR) bands that represent pi-pi interaction between the two chromophores of the intramolecular PHS dimer radical cation were observed, whereas p-cresol shows no distinct CR band. Although the radical cations of phenol derivatives are known to be easily deprotonated, it was found that the dimer radical cation formation leads to less deprotonation by its charge resonance stabilization.  相似文献

Thephotochemical reaction of [3(3)](1,3,5)cyclophane 2, which is a photoprecursor for the formation of propella[3(3)]prismane 18, was studied using a sterilizing lamp (254 nm). Upon photolysis in dry and wet CH2Cl2 or MeOH in the presence of 2 mol/L aqueous HCl solution, the cyclophane 2 afforded novel cage compounds comprised of new skeletons, tetracyclo[6.3.1.0.(2,7)0(4,11)]dodeca-5,9-diene 43, hexacyclo[6.4.0.0.(2,6)0.(4,11)0.(5,10)0(9,12)]dodecane 44, and pentacyclo[6.4.0.0.(2,6)0.(4,11)0(5,10)]dodecane 45. All of these products were confirmed by the X-ray structural analyses. A possible mechanism for the formation of these photoproducts via the hexaprismane derivative 18 is proposed. The photophysical properties in the excited state of the [3n]cyclophanes ([3n]CP, n = 2-6) were investigated by measuring the emission spectra and determining the quantum yields and lifetimes of the fluorescence. All [3n]CPs show excimeric fluorescence without a monomeric one. The lifetime of the excimer fluorescence becomes gradually longer with the increasing number of the trimethylene bridges. The [3n]CPs also shows excimeric phosphorescence spectra without vibrational structures for n = 2, 4, and 5, while phosphorescence is absent for n = 3 and 6. With an increase in symmetry of the benzene skeleton in the [3(3)]- and [3(6)]CPs, the probability of the radiation (phosphorescence) process from the lowest triplet state may drastically decrease.  相似文献

The intramolecular dimer radical cation and charge-transfer complex of various cyclophanes were investigated by using pulse radiolysis measurements. The charge resonance band due to the dimer radical cation of cyclophanes appeared in the near-IR region, which showed a blue-shift as the distance between the two benzene rings of cyclophane decreased. The stabilization energy of the dimer radical cation, which was estimated from the peak position of the charge resonance band, was explained by the exchange interaction, while the substituent effect was small. The absorption peak of the charge-transfer complex with chlorine atom also showed the shift in accordance with the oxidation potential of cyclophanes.  相似文献

(Aza)n[3n]cyclophanes were synthesized by the coupling reaction of p-toluenesulfonamide and bis(halomethyl) derivatives in the presence of a base (K2CO3, NaH etc.) using DMF, dioxane etc. as a solvent, in acceptable yields. The triangular cluster [Mo3Se4(H2O)9]4+ reacts with Cu turnings to give a new heterometallic cuboidal cluster [Mo3CuSe4(H2O)10]4+(purple; UV/Vis lambda(epsilon): 352(3907), 509(2613)). The reaction of [Mo3Se4(H2O)9]4+ with CuCl afforded the 5+ cube [Mo3CuSe4(H2O)10]5+(red; UV/Vis lambda(epsilon): 356(5406), 500(3477)). In contrast, [W3Se4(H2O)9]4+ both with Cu and CuCl gives the 5+ cube, [W3CuSe4(H2O)10]5+(yellow-green; UV/Vis lambda(epsilon): 312(5327), 419(3256) and 628(680)). Cyclic voltammetry of [M3CuQ4(H2O)10]5+ in 2 M HCl (M = Mo, W; Q = S, Se) shows a reversible one-electron reduction wave for the Mo clusters, but no reduction occurs for the W clusters prior to H+ reduction. In HCl solutions, Cl is coordinated to the Cu site of the clusters, alongside some less extensive coordination to Mo and W, and for [W3(CuCl)S4(H2O)6Cl3]+, isolated as the supramolecular adduct with cucurbit[6]uril, [W3(CuCl)S4(H2O)6Cl3]2Cl2 x C36H36N24O12 x 12H2O, the crystal structure was determined (Cu-W 2.856(4) angstroms, W-W 2.7432(15) angstroms, Cu-Cl 2.167(13) angstroms).  相似文献

Versatile, iterative synthetic protocols to form expanded [n]radialenes have been developed (n=3 and 4), which allow for a variety of groups to be placed around the periphery of the macrocyclic framework. The successful use of the Sonogashira cross‐coupling reaction to complete the final ring closure demonstrates the ability of this reaction to tolerate significant ring strain while producing moderate to excellent product yields. The resulting radialenes show good stability under normal laboratory conditions in spite of their strained, cyclic structures. The physical and electronic characteristics of the macrocycles have been documented by UV‐visible spectroscopy, electrochemical methods, and X‐ray crystallography (four derivatives), and these studies provide insight into the properties of these compounds as a function of pendent substitution in terms of conjugation and donor/acceptor functionalization.  相似文献

The local aromaticity of the six-membered rings in three series of benzenoid compounds, namely, the [n]acenes, [n]phenacenes, and [n]helicenes for n = 1-9, has been assessed by means of three probes of local aromaticity based on structural, magnetic, and electron delocalization properties. For [n]acenes our analysis shows that the more reactive inner rings are more aromatic than the outer rings. For [n]phenacenes, all indicators of aromaticity show that the external rings are the most aromatic. From the external to the central ring, the local aromaticity varies in a damped alternate way. The trends for the [n]helicene series are the same as those found for [n]phenacenes. Despite the departure from planarity in [n]helicenes, only a very slight loss of aromaticity is detected in [n]helicenes as compared to the corresponding [n]phenacenes. Finally, because of magnetic couplings between superimposed six-membered rings in the higher members of the [n]helicenes series, we have demonstrated that the NICS indicator of aromaticity artificially increases the local aromaticity of their most external rings.  相似文献

Reaction of UCl4 with calix[n]arenes (n = 4, 6 and 8) in THF or pyridine gave the mononuclear [UCl2(calix[4]arene--2H)(THF)2], bis-binuclear [U2Cl2(calix[6]arene--6H)(THF)3]2 and trinuclear [Hpy]6[U3Cl11(calix[8]arene--7H)] complexes, respectively, which are the first U(IV) complexes of O-unsubstituted calixarenes.  相似文献

The critical synthetic access to odd-numbered calix[n]arenes has evidently resulted in less attention for these macrocycles, although specific molecular recognition phenomena have been observed for some of them. A straightforward fragment coupling approach has been designed, applying kinetically controlled nucleophilic aromatic substitution reaction conditions, affording odd-numbered oxacalix[n]arenes (n = 5, 7) selectively in high yields. The solid-state conformational behavior and the oxacalix[n]arene cavity size were explored by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies.  相似文献

Calix[6]pyrrole 2 and the "hybrid systems" calix[3]furan[3]pyrrole 12, calix[2]furan[4]pyrrole 13, and calix[1]furan[5]pyrrole 14, have been synthesized by increasing conversion of the furan units present in the readily accessible calix[6]furan 3 to pyrroles. The host-guest chemistry of these novel macrocycles towards a number of anions, including halogen ions, dihydrogen phosphate, hydrogen sulfate, nitrate, and cyanide has been investigated in solution by (1)H NMR titration techniques and/or phase transfer experiments. The solid-state structures of the free receptors 2, 12, and 13, the 1:1 complexes of calix[6]pyrrole 2 with chloride and bromide, and the 1:1 complex of 14 with chloride are also reported.  相似文献

[μ-Ni(C5H5)P(C6H5)3] [μ-C5H5]2 [ZnC5H5]2 has been obtained from the reaction of Cp2Zn with Ni(COD)2 in the presence of Ph3P and its structure determined by X-ray crystallography. It consists of two cyclopentadienylzinc moieties bridged by the Ni atom of a CpNiPPh3 group and by a Cp group. A possible mechanism for the formation of the compound is discussed.  相似文献

Hydrogen-bonded interactions in para-substituted calix[n]arenes (CX[n]) (n = 4, 5) and their thia analogues are analyzed using the recently proposed molecular tailoring approach. The cooperative contribution toward the hydrogen-bonding network within the CX[5] host is shown to be nearly 5 times larger than that in its thia analogue. Hydrogen bond strengths in the O-H···O network are enhanced on substitution of an electron-donating group. The cooperativity contributions are reflected in the electron density at the bond critical point in the quantum theory of atoms in molecules.  相似文献

Calix[n]quinones, a class of cyclic oligomers composed of p‐benzoquinone structures connected by methylene, have multi‐conjugated carbonyl structures and adjustable cavities, which make their synthesis extremely attractive. In this minireview, synthetic methods of calix[n]quinones and recent synthetic experience of our group are summarized. The merits and demerits of various synthetic methods are briefly reviewed as well. When synthesizing calix[n]quinone (n≥6) with a larger ring, the reduction‐oxidation method is considered to be the most recommended.  相似文献

Heteronuclear Metal Atom Clusters of the Types X4?n[SnM(CO)4P(C6H5)3]n and M2(CO)8[μ-Sn(X)M(CO)4P(C6H5)3]2 by Reaction of SnX2 with M2(CO)8[P(C6H5)3]2 (X = Halogene; M = Mn, Re; n = 2, 3) The compounds of the both types X4?n[SnM(CO)4P(C6H5)3]n (n = 3; M = Mn; X = F, Cl, Br, I. n = 2: M = Mn, Re; X = Cl, Br, I) and M2(CO)8[μ-Sn(X)M(CO)4P(C6H5)3]2 (M = Mn; X = Cl, I. M = Re; X = Cl, Br, I) are prepared by reaction of SnX2 with M2(CO)8[P(C6H5)3]2 (M = Mn, Re). Their IR frequencies are assigned. In Re2(CO)8[μ-Sn(Cl)Re(CO)4P(C6H5)3]2 the central molecule fragment contains a planar Re2Sn2 rhombus with a transannular Re? Re bond of 316.0(2) pm. Each of the SnIV atoms is connected with the terminal ligands Cl and Re(CO)4P(C6H5)3. These ligands are in transposition with respect to the Re2Sn2 ring. The mean values for the remaining bond distances (pm) are: Sn? Re = 274.0(3); Sn? Cl = 243(1), Re? C = 176(5), Re? P = 242.4(9), C? O = 123(5). The factors with an influence on the geometrical shape of such M2Sn2 rings (M = transition metal) are discussed.  相似文献
