The design of the new MKh 1310 mass spectrometer with double focusing permits the recording of the spectra of sparingly volatile natural compounds with molecular weights of up to 1700 and, in particular, the permethylates and peracetates of spirostanol and furostanol saponins. The results are given of an investigation of the mass spectra of five spirostanol tetraosides in the form of their permethylates. The spectra contain the peaks of the molecular ions and of the products of their decomposition at the glycosidic bonds. The most important feature of the spectra is the fragmentation of the skeletons of the terminal saccharide residues starting directly from M+ in directions close to the directions of decomposition of the nonreducing unit of permethylates of oligosaccharides. The origin of the ions (M -191)+, (M - 175)+, (M - 162)+, (M - 147)+, (M - 131)+, (M - 118)+, and (M - 102)+ arising this way have been confirmed by measurements of their elementary compositions.Institute of the Chemistry of Plant Substances, Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. The mass spectra of 30 sulfinamide derivatives (RSONHR', R' alkyl or p-XC6H4) are reported. Most of the spectra had peaks attributable to thermal decomposition products. For some compounds these were identified by pyrolysis under similar conditions to be: RSO2NHR', RSO2SR, RSSR and NH2R' (in all kinds of sulfinyl amides); RSNHR' (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides); RSO2C6H4NH2, RSOC6H4NH2 and RSC6H4NH2 (in the case of arylsulfinyl arylamides of the type of X = H) The mass spectra of the three thermally stable compounds showed that there are several kinds of common fragment ions. The mass spectra of the thermally labile compounds had two groups of ions; (i) characteristic fragment ions of the intact molecules and (ii) the molecular ions of the thermal decomposition products. It was concluded that the sulfinamides give the following ions after electron impact: [M]+, [M ? R]+, [M ? R + H]+, [M ? SO]+, [RS]+, [NHR']+, [NHR' + H]+, [RSO]+, [RSO + H]+, [R]+, [R + H]+, [R']+ and [M ? OH]+, and that the thermal decomposition products give the following ions: [RSO2SR]+, [RSSR]+, [M ? O]+, [M + O]+ and [RSOC6H4NH2]+.  相似文献

Mechanisms are proposed for the formation of M+, [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions in the fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of 4-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-oxyl)-piperidol and its carboxylates. Free radical quenching induced by the fast atom beam has been observed. The effects of temperature on the radical quenching and of acid on the FAB mass spectra are discussed. The experiment showed that the volatile liquid samples with vapour pressures higher than that for glycerol produced M+ even-electron molecular ions, and the FAB mass spectra were similar to the corresponding electron ionization mass spectra. For the solid samples, it was found that the free radicals were quenched during the FAB process so that the mononitroxide and dinitroxide compounds produced [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions, respectively. Further experiments showed that the intensities and stabilities of [M + 2H]+ and [M + 3H]+ ions could be improved by addition of acids.  相似文献

N-Acetylcysteine and nine N-acetylcysteine conjugates of synthetic origin were characterized by positive- and negative-ion plasma desorption mass Spectrometry. For sample preparation the electrospray technique and the nitrocellulose spin deposition technique were applied. The fragmentation of these compounds, which are best seen as S-substituted desaminoglycylcysteine dipeptides, shows a similar behaviour to that of linear peptides. In the positive-ion mass spectra intense protonated molecular ion peaks are observed. In addition, several sequence-specific fragment ions (A+, B+, [Y + 2H]+, Z+), immonium ions (I+) and a diagnostic fragment ion for mercap-turic acids (RM+) are detected. The negative-ion mass spectra exhibit deprotonated molecular ions and in contrast only one fragment ion corresponding to side-chain specific cleavage ([RXS]?) representing the xenobiotic moiety. In the case of a low alkali metal concentration on the target, cluster molecular ions of the [nM + H]+ or [nM - H]? ion type (n = 1-3) are observed. The analysis of an equimolar mixture of eight N-acetylcysteine conjugates shows different quasi-molecular ion yields for the positive- and negative-ion spectra.  相似文献

The structures of the [M? OH]+ ions of m- and pethylnitrobenzene have been compared by measurements of metastable ion spectra, collisional activation spectra, kinetic energy releases and critical energies for the formation of these ions and their subsequent decomposition. Normalized rates of fragmentation of metastable molecular ions and metastable [M? OH]+ ions have been compared for ion lifetimes up to 30 μs. The energy measurements fail to distinguish between the structures of the [M? OH]+ ions, but the normalized fragmentation rates and the collisional activation spectra show their structures to be different.  相似文献

The mass spectrometric behaviour of benzo-[o]-1,4,7,10,13-pentaoxacycloheptadecane-14,17-dione (1), 3,6,9,12,15-pentaoxabicyclo[15.3.1]heneicosa-1(21),17,19-triene-2,16-dione (2) and 1,15-dioxo-2,5,8,11,14-pentaoxa[15](1,4)benzenophane (3) has been studied in detail with the aid of linked scans, mass-analysed ion kinetic energy spectra, collisionally activated decomposition experiments, exact mass measurements and different ionization techniques (electron impact, positive and negative ion chemical ionization, charge exchange, electron attachment). The very low abundance of molecular ions and the presence of abundant [M + H]+ and [M – H]+ ions under electron impact conditions indicate the presence of acidic and basic sites in the molecular ions and neutral molecules, respectively.  相似文献

In the electron impact mass spectra of some alkyl α- and β-hydroxyesters (introduced using the gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) technique), the absence of the molecular ion M and the presence of the [M + 1]+ ion instead is observed. This phenomenon is especially characteristic of C3? C6 glycolates and diethyl malate, and is due to chemical auto-ionization—ion-molecule reactions in the high concentration gradient at the top of the GC peak. The existence of the [M ? 2], [M ?1]+ and M ions in the mass spectra of other β- and α-hydroxyesters is discussed.  相似文献

The electron impact mass spectra of the new synthesized dioximes of o-diacyl benzenes (2) are reported. In addition to the molecular ion, characteristic peaks appear at values corresponding to the [M ? OH] +, [M ? NOH]+ and [M ? NHOH]+ ions. The electron-impact mass spectra of five unesterified pennogenin glycosides, which contain the M+ or (M - H2O)+ peaks, have been obtained. The characteristic features of the fragmentation of these compounds have been studied. In addition to ions characterizing the successive elimination of carbohydrate units, fragments have been detected which show the breakdown of the terminal pyranose ring. Chemical ionization mass spectra of halomethanes measured using tetramethylsilane as reagent gas exhibit three major peaks corresponding to [M + SiMe3]+, [M − X]+ and (MeSi)2X+ ions (X = Cl, Br or I). Dihalomethanes CH2X2 form the most stable silylated molecular ions, whereas in the mass spectra of tetrahalomethanes (CX4) these ions have not been detected and the ions CX3+ are the most abundant. Production of bistrimethylsilyl-halonium ions is the most pronounced process for haloforms (CHX3).  相似文献

The mass spectra of some (Z)α-(4-R′-phenyl)-β-(2-thienyl-5-R)acrylonitriles (R = H, CH3, Br; R′ = H, CH3O, CH3, Cl, NO2) at 70 eV are reported. Mass spectra exhibit pronounced molecular ions. The compound's where R = H, and CH3 are characterized by the occurrence of a strong [M - H]+ peak. Moreover, in all the compounds a m/z 177 peak occurs. In the compounds where R = H, [M - HS]* and [M - CHS]* ions are present except the nitroderivatives. Where R = CH3, [M - HS]+ ion occurs.  相似文献

Novel steroidal phosphoramidate conjugates of 3'-azido-2',3'-dideoxythymidine(AZT)and amino acid esterswere synthesized and determined by positive and negative ion electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.The MSfragmentation behaviors of the steroidal phosphoramidate conjugates have been investigated in conjunction withtandem mass spectrometry of ESI-MS/MS.There were three characteristic fragment ions in the positive ion ESImass spectra,which were the Na adduct ions with loss of steroidal moiety,amino acid ester moiety from pseudomolecular ion(M Na)~ ,and the phosphoamino acid methyl ester Na adduct ion by α-cleavage of the phosphora-midate respectively.The main fragment ions in negative ion ESI mass spectra were the ion(M-HN_3)~-,the ion(M-AZT-H)~-,and the ion(M-steroidal moiety-H)~- besides the pseudo molecular ion(M-H)~-.Thefragmentation patterns did not depend on the attached amino acid ester moiety.  相似文献

The mass spectra of 1-substituted 3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde bis(2-hydroxyethyl) dithioacetals and thioacetals were studied for the first time. The main fragmentation pathways of their molecular ions generated under electron impact and chemical ionization were similar. Primary decomposition of the molecular ions of bis(2-hydroxyethyl) dithioacetals involves elimination of 2-sulfanylethanol molecule with formation of the corresponding 1,3-oxathiolane radical cation. Fragmentation of the molecular ions [M]+ · and [M + H]+ derived from 2-(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-4-yl)-1,4,6-oxadithiocanes includes cleavage of the eight-membered heteroring and elimination of C4H9OS ·. Substituents in the heteroring of pyrazolecarbaldehydes inhibit decomposition processes related to the aldehyde group.  相似文献

To test the similarity of chemical ionization (CI) spectra of esters to the collision-induced decomposition mass-analyzed ion kinetic energy (CID-MIKE) spectra of protonated esters, the CID-MIKE spectra of the [M + 1]+ ions of nineteen aliphatic esters were studied. The major fragments produced in the two kinds of experiment are similar, but there are significant differences in the ions of high mass, which would reduce the usefulness of library searches of CI spectra to identify MIKE spectra of [M + 1]+ ions.  相似文献

Methyl 2-oxocycIoalkane carboxylate structures are proposed lor the [M ? MeOH] ions from dimethyl adipate, pimelate, suberate and azelate. This proposal is based on a comparison of the metastable ion mass spectra and the kinetic energy releases for the major fragmentation reaction of these species with the same data for the molecular ions of authentic cyclic β-keto esters. The mass spectra of α,α,α′,α′-d4-pimelic acid and its dimethyl ester indicate that the α-hydrogens are involved only to a minor extent in the formation of [M ? ROH] and [M ? 2ROH] ions, while these α-hydrogens are involved almost exclusively in the loss of ROH from the [M ? RO˙]+ ions (R = H or CH3). The molecules XCO(CH2)7COOMe (X = OH, Cl) form abundant ions in their mass spectra with the same structure as the [M ? 2MeOH] ions from dimethyl azelate.  相似文献

The fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectra of telluronium salts were studied. The spectra exhibit the intact cation (C+) and cluster ions ([M + C]+). The principal fragment ions in the FAB mass spectra of telluronium salts are [RTe]+, [R2Te]+˙, [R2Te − H]+, [RTeR′]+˙, and [RTeR′ + H]+. When the anion was [BPh4], interesting cluster ions such as [M + C − BPh3]+ appeared.  相似文献

In the field desorption mass spectrometry of oligosaccharides, traces of contaminating salts in polar solvents decrease the detection sensitivity, and in some cases no ion could be detected in the molecular range. The present work shows that the addition of alkaline salts (NaI or KI) greatly increases the sensitivity, and cationized molecular ions are obtained. The influence of the molar ratio sugar/salt on the nature and relative intensity of the desorbed species has been studied on mixtures of α-D -trehalose and NaI. At the low salt ratio (100:1), high molecular weight clusters [X M + Na]+ are preferentially formed. At the high salt ratio (1:10), mixed clusters [M + NaI + Na]+, doubly charged ions [M + 2Na]2+ and monomeric cationized ions [M + Na]+ are observed along with salt clusters [NaI + Na]+ and [2NaI + Na]+. In the range of molar ratios sugar/salt of 10:1 to 1:1, the field desorption mass spectra exhibit a cationized ion [M + Na]+, which contributes more than 80% of Σ100. This cationization technique has been applied to the field desorption mass spectrometry of several oligosaccharides. In all cases, the salt effect causes the replacement of the [M + H]+ ion by a [M + C]+ ion. (Note: the term [M + C]+ and similar ones mean an association between the whole molecule studied (M) and an alkaline cation [C]+ ([K)]+, [Na]+, [Li]+).) Thus, di, tri- and tetrasaccharides exhibit intense [M + Na]+ ions in the presence of NaI and only a few fragment peaks are observed in their field desorption mass spectra. This technique has been applied successfully to the detection of the hexasaccharide ajugose in a natural sample of pentasaccharide, and has also allowed the unambiguous determination of the composition of a mixture of partially methylated trehaloses. The salt effects are dicussed in terms of selective adsorption on the emitter, pre-existing soluble complexes sugar-salt, interactions between these species in the electric field and dissociative desorption of ionic complexes.  相似文献

Fragmentation patterns of the molecular ions of 5-(methylsulfanyl)-1-[2-(vinyloxy)ethyl]-1H-pyrrol- 2-amines generated by electron impact (70 eV) and chemical ionization (methane as reagent gas) were studied for the first time. The electron impact mass spectra of all the examined compounds showed abundant molecular ions whose subsequent fragmentation followed three main pathways: elimination of EtS radical, elimination of methyl radical from the MeS group, and cleavage of the C-N and/or C-C bonds which is accompanied by rearrangement processes. Further decomposition of the [M - EtS]+ ion is determined by the structure of the amino group. The chemical ionization mass spectra displayed strong molecular and [M + H]+ ion peaks together with representative series of fragment ion peaks. Unlike electron impact, the main decomposition pathway under chemical ionization is elimination of methylsulfanyl radical from the [M + H]+ ion to give abundant [M + H — MeS]+ ion.  相似文献

Abstract

Temperature profiling of MIKE spectra allows identification of protonated psilocin in the presence of other compounds with the same mass. The use of multiple ionizing methods to give ions (M+H)+, (M+ML4)+, and M is shown to assist in determining the molecular weights of new natural products. Structural information is obtained from the MIKE spectra. All these determinations can be made on the intact mushroom or its simple alcoholic extracts.  相似文献

The types and intensities of tandem mass spectrometric products of side-chain interactions were investigated with a hybrid tandem instrument. Positive-ion unimolecular decomposition and collisionally activated decomposition studies were conducted on the [M + H]+ ions of two N-benzyloxycarbonyl (Cbz or Z)-protected tripeptides, Cbz-Gly-Leu-Arg-NH2 and Cbz-Gly-Pro-Arg-NH2. The loss of benzyl alcohol (108 u) and the formation of other significant product ions and their dependence on collision energy and gas pressure suggest reaction between both ends of the molecule. Replacement of leucine with proline at the second position in the tripeptide produces a very intense [M + H ? 108]+ ion and fewer lower mass fragment ions in the tandem mass spectra for Cbz-Gly-Pro-Arg-NH2 than in those for Cbz-Gly-Leu-Arg-NH2.  相似文献
