In this article we construct various models for singularity categories of modules over differential graded rings. The main technique is the connection between abelian model structures, cotorsion pairs and deconstructible classes, and our constructions are based on more general results about localization and transfer of abelian model structures. We indicate how recollements of triangulated categories can be obtained model categorically, discussing in detail Krause?s recollement Kac(Inj(R))→K(Inj(R))→D(R)Kac(Inj(R))K(Inj(R))D(R). In the special case of curved mixed ZZ-graded complexes, we show that one of our singular models is Quillen equivalent to Positselski?s contraderived model for the homotopy category of matrix factorizations.  相似文献

We consider the relationship between the relative stable category of and the usual singularity category for group algebras with coefficients in a commutative noetherian ring. When the coefficient ring is self-injective we show that these categories share a common, relatively large, Verdier quotient. At the other extreme, when the coefficient ring has finite global dimension, there is a semi-orthogonal decomposition, due to Poulton, relating the two categories. We prove that this decomposition is partially compatible with the monoidal structure and study the morphism it induces on spectra.  相似文献

The singularity category of a ring makes only the modules of finite projective dimension vanish among the modules, so that the singularity category is expected to characterize a homological property of modules of infinite projective dimension. In this paper, among such modules, we deal with eventually periodic modules over a left artin ring, and, as our main result, we characterize them in terms of morphisms in the singularity category. As applications, we first prove that, for the class of finite dimensional algebras over a field, being eventually periodic is preserved under singular equivalence of Morita type with level. Moreover, we determine which finite dimensional connected Nakayama algebras are eventually periodic when the ground field is algebraically closed.  相似文献

This paper consists of three results on Frobenius categories: (1) we give sufficient conditions on when a factor category of a Frobenius category is still a Frobenius category; (2) we show that any Frobenius category is equivalent to an extension-closed exact subcategory of the Frobenius category formed by Cohen–Macaulay modules over some additive category; this is an analogue of Gabriel–Quillen’s embedding theorem for Frobenius categories; (3) we show that under certain conditions an exact category with enough projective and enough injective objects allows a natural new exact structure, with which the given category becomes a Frobenius category. Let R be a right coherent ring and D~b(R-Mod) the bounded derived category of left R-modules. Denote by D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C]) the subcategory of D~b(R-Mod) consisting of all complexes with both finite Gorenstein flat dimension and cotorsion dimension and K~b(F ∩ C) the bounded homotopy category of flat cotorsion left R-modules. We prove that the quotient triangulated category D~b(R-Mod)_([G F,C])/K~b(F ∩ C) is triangle-equivalent to the stable category GF ∩ C of the Frobenius category of all Gorenstein flat and cotorsion left R-modules.  相似文献

The Orlov spectrum and Rouquier dimension are invariants of a triangulated category to measure how big the category is, and they have been studied actively. In this paper, we investigate the singularity category $$\textsf {D} _{\textsf {sg} }(R)$$ of a hypersurface R of countable representation type. For a thick subcategory $${\mathcal {T}}$$ of $$\textsf {D} _{\textsf {sg} }(R)$$ and a full subcategory $$\mathcal {X}$$ of $${\mathcal {T}}$$, we calculate the Rouquier dimension of $${\mathcal {T}}$$ with respect to $$\mathcal {X}$$. Furthermore, we prove that the level in $$\textsf {D} _{\textsf {sg} }(R)$$ of the residue field of R with respect to each nonzero object is at most one.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the design of a logistics distribution network consisting of a supplier, a set of potential warehouses, and a set of retailers. There are commodities from two product categories, that is, category A and category B, flowing across the network. The demand for commodities in product category A is stable. The demand for commodities in product category B is highly uncertain. We show that the network design problem to distribute the commodities in both product categories can be formulated as the uncapacitated facility location problem with monotone submodular costs and tackled using a cutting plane algorithm. We propose a strongly polynomial time algorithm for the nonlinear discrete optimization problem, which must be solved in each iteration of the cutting plane algorithm. We also provide the computational results, and summarize the insights based on the proposed model and the solution algorithm.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply the family of potential wells to the initial boundary value problem of semilinear hyperbolic equations on the cone Sobolev spaces. We not only give some results of global existence and nonexistence of solutions but also obtain the vacuum isolating of solutions. A groupoid is a small category in which all morphisms are isomorphisms. An inductive groupoid is a specialized groupoid whose object set is a regular biordered set and the morphisms admit a partial order. A normal category is a specialized small category whose object set is a strict preorder and the morphisms admit a factorization property. A pair of ‘related’ normal categories constitutes a cross-connection. Both inductive groupoids and cross-connections were identified by Nambooripad as categorical models of regular semigroups. We explore the inter-relationship between these seemingly different categorical structures and prove a direct category equivalence between the category of inductive groupoids and the category of cross-connections.  相似文献

Given an odd-periodic algebraic triangulated category, we compare Bridgeland's Hall algebra in the sense of Bridgeland(2013) and Gorsky(2014), and the derived Hall algebra in the sense of Ten(2006), Xiao and Xu(2008) and Xu and Chen(2013), and show that the former one is the twisted form of the tensor product of the latter one and a suitable group algebra.  相似文献

We prove the global existence of solutions of the Navier‐Stokes equations of compressible, barotropic flow in two space dimensions which exhibit convecting singularity curves. The fluid density and velocity gradient have jump discontinuities across these curves, exactly as predicted by the Rankine‐Hugoniot conditions, and these jump discontinuities decay exponentially in time, more rapidly for smaller viscosities. The singularity curves remain C1+α despite the fact that the velocity fields which convect them are not continuously differentiable. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.  相似文献

A stable model category is a setting for homotopy theory where the suspension functor is invertible. The prototypical examples are the category of spectra in the sense of stable homotopy theory and the category of unbounded chain complexes of modules over a ring. In this paper we develop methods for deciding when two stable model categories represent ‘the same homotopy theory’. We show that stable model categories with a single compact generator are equivalent to modules over a ring spectrum. More generally stable model categories with a set of generators are characterized as modules over a ‘ring spectrum with several objects’, i.e., as spectrum valued diagram categories. We also prove a Morita theorem which shows how equivalences between module categories over ring spectra can be realized by smashing with a pair of bimodules. Finally, we characterize stable model categories which represent the derived category of a ring. This is a slight generalization of Rickard's work on derived equivalent rings. We also include a proof of the model category equivalence of modules over the Eilenberg-Mac Lane spectrum HR and (unbounded) chain complexes of R-modules for a ring R.  相似文献
