The propagation properties of the Airy-Gaussian beams are introduced in a quadratic-indexmedium analytically and numerically. The linear momentum, the beam width, the beam centerof the Airy-Gaussian beam are analyzed. The Airy-Gaussian beam shape and curvature repeatsitself at intervals proportional to \hbox{$1/\sqrt{az_{R}}$}1/azRdue to the potential barrier. The formation of soliton-like structures in a periodic medium containing impurity atoms with resonant two-photon transition degenerate over the magnetic moment projection is studied. An effective Hamiltonian for the two-level model is derived from the microscopic Hamiltonian of a three-level atom in a configuration, interacting through two-photon transitions with a lightfield. The effective Hamiltonian includes a term describing the optical Stark shift. With this effective Hamiltonian, we study the steady-state equation and the squeezing spectrum from a cavity field mode interacting with an ensemble of three level configuration atoms by a two-photon transition. It is shown that the inclusion of optical Stark shift brings about changes in drift and diffusion coefficients as well as additional nonzero correlations between the stochastic forces. As a result, although qualitative features remain unaltered, quantitative changes both in the transmission characteristics and the squeezing spectrum are significant.  相似文献

 为了研究光束在梯度折射率介质中的传输规律,利用广义惠更斯-菲涅耳衍射积分法,推导出余弦高斯光束在梯度折射率介质中传输的解析表达式,对余弦高斯光束在梯度折射率介质中的传输特性进行了分析,并进一步讨论了介质梯度折射率系数和调制参数对传输特性的影响。结果表明,余弦高斯光束在梯度折射率介质中传输时,轴上光强分布呈现周期性变化,横向光强分布受梯度折射率系数和调制参数影响较大。余弦高斯光束传输时具有不稳定性,通过适当调节参数,可在空间某位置实现余弦高斯光束的整形。  相似文献

On the basis of the generalized diffraction integral formula for misaligned optical systems in spatial domain, an analytical propagation expression for the elliptical cosh-Gaussian beam (EChGB) passing through misaligned optical systems is obtained by using vector integration. Some numerical simulations are illustrated for the propagation properties of an EChGB through a misaligned optical transforming system with a misaligned thin lens. As an application example, the propagation of off-axial EChGBs passing through misaligned optical systems is studied, and further extensions are also pointed out.  相似文献

We analyze the influence of residual two-photon excitation (2PE) in two-color (two-photon) optical beam induced current (2CE-OBIC) generation in wide band gap semiconductor samples. 2CE-OBIC generation is accomplished with two confocal excitation beams of separation angle θ and wavelengths λ1 and λ2 where , λe = hc/Eb, h is the Planck’s constant, c is speed of light in vacuum, and Eb is the energy band gap. Because the conduction band of the sample is a continuum, at least one excitation beam would also contribute an undesirable 2PE-OBIC signal that degrades the signal-to-noise ratio of the measured 2CE-OBIC response and broadens the effective OBIC distribution in the sample particularly when θ ≠ 0 or π. We show that the deleterious effects of crosstalk are reduced by a careful selection of λ1 and λ2 and the relative excitation beam intensities. λ1 and λ2 should be chosen to minimize the ratio of the two-photon absorption coefficients (β1β2) to the 2CE absorption coefficient β12 or at least satisfy the constraint: β1 + β2  β12. Keeping the two excitation intensities equal is beneficial only when β1 = β2. Otherwise, it is advantageous to bias the intensity ratio towards the wavelength with a lower 2PE absorption coefficient.  相似文献

Starting from flattened Gaussian beams, we deduce analytical expressions for the propagation of paraxial circular symmetric beams through a general first-order optical system. It is shown that the propagation of any scalar beam in a paraxial domain takes the same form as that in free space. Three parameters were introduced to characterize the evolution of the propagating beam. Numerical examples are also presented to illustrate the effectiveness of this method.  相似文献

I introduce a class of rotating parabolic cylindrical beams in nonlocal nonlinear media. The rotating speed keeps fixed in the case of strong nonlocality and increases with the nonlocality being weak. For the strong nonlocal case, the analytical solutions of the modified Snyder Mitchell model agree well with the numerical simulations of the nonlocal nonlinear Schrödinger equation. By simulating the propagation of the rotating parabolic cylindrical beams in liquid crystal and nonlinear thermal media numerically, I demonstrate that there exists the rotating parabolic cylindrical cosine Gaussian quasi-soliton state.  相似文献

使用广义惠更斯—菲涅尔衍射积分,增广矩阵和Wigner分布函数方法,研究了偏心厄米--高斯光束通过失调非对称一阶光学系统的传输特性,证明了偏心厄米--高斯光束通过一阶光学系统时保持其封闭性,光束的二阶矩矩阵按通常的规律变换,一阶矩矩阵遵循几何光线的变换规律,光束传输因子保持不变。  相似文献
