An electrochemical study of hydroxyzine at a glassy carbon electrode was carried out in the Britton-Robinson universal buffer of pH 2-11. Hydroxyzine was oxidized in a single two-electron irreversible process controlled mainly by adsorption. A simple, sensitive and time-saving square-wave adsorptive anodic stripping voltammetric procedure has been developed for determination of hydroxyzine in its commercial tablets and human serum without prior extraction. The optimized procedural conditions were: frequency=120Hz, scan increment=10mV, pulse-amplitude=25mV, accumulation potential=-0.3V, accumulation time=90-300s and a Britton-Robinson universal buffer of pH 4 as a supporting electrolyte. Mean recoveries of 100.5+/-0.71 and 98.6+/-1.12% (n=5) were achieved for assay of hydroxyzine in Atarax 10 and 25mg dosage forms, respectively. Limit of detection of 1.5x10(-8)molL(-1) (5.624ngmL(-1)) and limit of quantitation of 5.0x10(-8)molL(-1) (18.746ngmL(-1)) were achieved in human serum with a mean recovery of 98.4+/-1.22%, without prior extraction of the drug. Moreover, the described procedure was applied for evaluating the pharmacokinetic parameters of hydroxyzine in plasma of two healthy volunteers after administration of a single oral dose (Atarax)-25mg).  相似文献

A voltammetric sensor was fabricated by applying a Nafion and multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) composite film on the surface of a carbon ionic liquid electrode (CILE), which was prepared by mixing 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate with graphite powder. The electrochemical behavior of adenine on the Nafion-MWCNTs/CILE was investigated in pH 5.5 buffer solution. Adenine showed an irreversible adsorption-controlled oxidation reaction with enhanced electrochemical response, which was due to the presence of high conductive MWCNTs on the CILE surface. The electrochemical parameters of adenine electro-oxidation were determined, and the experimental conditions were optimized. Under the optimal conditions, the oxidation peak current was linear to the adenine concentration over the range of 1.0?×?10?7 to 7.0?×?10?5 mol L?1 with a detection limit of 3.3?×?10?8 mol L?1 (signal/noise?=?3). The electrode showed good stability and selectivity, and was further applied to milk powder samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

An electrochemical method for the determination of trace levels of mercury based on a multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNT) film coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) is described. In 0.1 mol L–1 HCl solution containing 0.02 mol L–1 KI, Hg2+ was firstly preconcentrated at the MWNT film and then reduced at –0.60 V. During the anodic potential sweep, reduced mercury was oxidized, and then a sensitive and well-defined stripping peak at about –0.20 V appeared. Under identical conditions, a MWNT film coated GCE greatly enhances the stripping peak current of mercury in contrast to a bare GCE. Low concentrations of I remarkably improve the determining sensitivity, since this increases the accumulation efficiency of Hg2+ at the MWNT film coated GCE. The stripping peak current is proportional to the concentration of Hg2+ over the range 8×10–10–5×10–7 mol L–1. The lowest detectable concentration of Hg2+ is 2×10–10 mol L–1 at 5 min accumulation. The relative standard deviation (RSD) at 1×10–8 mol L–1 Hg2+ was about 6% (n=10). By using this proposed method, Hg2+ in some water samples was determined, and the results were compared with those obtained by atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). The two results are similar, suggesting that the MWNT-film coated GCE has great potential in practical analysis.  相似文献

Quercetin can effectively accumulate at multi-walled carbon nanotubes-paraffin oil paste electrodes (CNTPE) and cause a sensitive anodic peak at around 0.32 V (vs. SCE) in a 0.10 M phosphate buffer solution (pH = 4.0). Under optimized conditions, the anodic peak current is linear to quercetin concentration in the ranges of 2.0 × 10− 9−1.0 × 10− 7 M and 1.0 × 10− 7−2.0 × 10− 5 M, and the regression equations are ip (μA) = 0.0017 + 0.928c (μM, r = 0.999) and ip (μA) = 0.183 + 0.0731c (μM, r = 0.995), respectively. This paste electrode can be regenerated by repetitively cycling in a blank solution for about 2 min. A 1.0 × 10− 6 M quercetin solution is measured for 10 times using the same electrode regenerated after every determination, and the relative standard deviation of the peak current is 1.7%. The method has been applied to the determination of quercetin in hydrolysate product of rutin and the recovery is 99.2–102.6%. In comparison with graphite paste electrode, carbon nanotubes-nujol paste electrode and carbon nanotubes casting film modified glassy carbon electrode, the CNTPE gives higher ratio of signal to background current and better defined voltammetric peak.  相似文献

Electrochemical behavior of cerium hexacyanoferrate (CeHCF) incorporated on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) modified GC electrode is investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical techniques. The CeHCF/MWNT/GC electrode showed potent electrocatalytic activity toward the electrochemical oxidation of tryptophan in phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0) with a diminution of the overpotential of 240 mV. The anodic peak currents increased linearly with the concentration of tryptophan in the range of 2.0 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−4 M with a detection limit of 2.0 × 10−8 M (at a S/N = 3). And the determination of tryptophan in pharmaceutical samples was satisfactory.  相似文献

Integrating the advantages of screen printing technology with the encouraging electroanalytical characteristic of metallic bismuth, we developed an ultrasensitive and disposable screen-printed bismuth electrode (SPBE) modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) for electrochemical stripping measurements. Metallic bismuth powders and MWCNTs were homogeneously mixed with graphite-carbon ink to mass-prepare screen-printed bismuth electrode doped with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (SPBE/MWCNT). The electroanalytical performance of the prepared SPBE/MWCNT was intensively evaluated by measuring trace Hg(II) with square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV). The results indicated that the SPBE modified with 2 wt% MWCNTs could offer a more sensitive response to trace Hg(II) than the bare SPBE. The stripping current obtained at SPBE/MWCNT was linear with Hg(II) concentration in the range from 0.2 to 40 μg/L (R(2) = 0.9976), with a detection limit of 0.09 μg/L (S/N = 3) under 180 s accumulation. The proposed "mercury-free" electrode, with extremely simple preparation and ultrahigh sensitivity, holds wide application prospects in both environmental and industrial monitoring.  相似文献

A sensitive electroanalytical method for the determination of anticancer drug etoposide (ETP) using adsorptive stripping differential pulse voltammetry (AdSDPV) at a multi-walled carbon nanotube-modified glassy carbon electrode (MWCNT-modified GCE) is presented. The surface morphology of modified electrode was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The effects of accumulation time and potential, pH, scan rate, and amount of MWCNT suspension were investigated. The calibration curve was linear in the concentration range of 2.0?×?10?8–2.0?×?10?6 M with the detection limit of 5.4?×?10?9 M. The reproducibility of the peak current was found at 1.55 % (n?=?5) RSD value in pH 6.0 Britton–Robinson buffer for the MWCNT-modified GCE. The method was then successfully utilized for the determination of ETP in pharmaceutical dosage form, and a recovery of 99.55 % was obtained. The possible oxidation mechanism of ETP was also discussed. The proposed electroanalytical method using MWCNT-modified GCE is the most sensitive method for the determination of ETP with lowest limit of detection in the previously published electrochemical methods.  相似文献

A chemically modified electrode is constructed based on the multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs)/4-aminobenzeresulfonic acid (4-ABSA) film-coated glassy carbon electrode. The electrocatalytic oxidation of tyrosine (Tyr) is investigated on the surface of the MWNTs/4-ABSA-modified electrode using cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The prepared modified electrode shows voltammetric responses with high sensitivity and selectivity for Tyr in optimal conditions, which makes it very suitable for sub-micromolar detection of Tyr. A sensitive oxidation peak at +0.64 V is employed to determine Tyr. Good linear relationship between the oxidation peak current and the Tyr concentration in the range of 1 × 10−7 to 5 × 10−5 mol/L is obtained in phosphate buffer solution with pH 7.0. By use of modified electrode, the voltammetric detection limit for Tyr in DPV measurements is 8 × 10−8 mol/L (S/N = 3). Good sensitivity, selectivity and stability of the low-cost modified electrode make it very suitable for the determination of trace amounts of Tyr in pharmaceutical and clinical preparations.  相似文献

Magnesium l-ascorbic acid 2-phosphate (MAAP) and α-tocopherol acetate (α-TAc), as the stable vitamin C and vitamin E derivative, respectively, are often applied to skin care products for reducing UV damage. The encapsulation of MAAP (0.5%, g/mL) and α-TAc (5%, g/mL) together within the polyacrylonitrile (PAN) nanofibers was demonstrated using a coaxial electrospinning technique. The structure and morphology characterizations of the core-shell fibers MAAP/α-TAc-PAN were investigated by SEM, FTIR and XRD. As a negative control, the blend nanofibers MAAP/α-TAc/PAN were prepared from a normal electrospinning method. The results from SEM indicated that the morphology and diameter of the nanofibers were influenced by concentration of spinning solution, the polymer component of the shell, the carrying agent of the core and the fabricating methods, and the core-shell nanofibers obtained at the concentration of 8% had finer and uniform structure with the average diameters of 200 ± 15 nm. From in vitro release studies it could be seen that both different fiber specimens showed a gradual increase in the amount of α-TAc or MAAP released from the nanofibers. Furthermore, α-TAc and MAAP released from the blend nanofibers showed the burst release at the maximum release of ~15% and ~40% during the first 6 h, respectively, but their release amount from the core-shell nanofibers was only 10–12% during the initial part of the process. These results showed that core-shell nanofibers alleviated the initial burst release and gave better sustainability compared to that of the blend nanofibers. The present study would provide a basis for further optimization of processing conditions to obtain desired structured core-shell nanofibers and release kinetics for practical applications in dermal tissue.  相似文献

We are presenting a sensor for hydroxylamine that is based on an glassy carbon electrode modified with nanoparticles of Prussian Blue and with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The sensing material was synthesized using a mixture of ferric chloride and potassium ferricyanide solution in the presence of MWCNTs under ambient conditions. Characterization was done by scanning electron microscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared absorption spectrum and cyclic voltammetry. The modified electrode showed two well-defined pairs of redox peaks and dramatic catalytic activity towards the electro-oxidation of hydroxylamine with a linear response ranging from 1.5 µM to 2.0 mM. In addition, tests show the sensor exhibited outstanding stability and reproducibility.  相似文献

DFT-B3LYP/6-31G (d, p) and HF/6-31G (d, p) calculations are performed for deoxidized norepinephrineat (NP(R)) and its oxidized form (NP(O)). The electrochemistry of norepinephrineat (NP) was studied by cyclic voltammetry (CV) at a pyrolytic graphite electrode modified by Nafion multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs) in phosphate buffers at pH 6.0, showing that the standard electrode potential of half reaction for NP(O), H+/NP(R) is 0.75l V. This experimental standard electrode potential of half reaction is consistent with that calculated using the energies of solvation and sum of electronic and thermal free energies of NP(R) and NP(O). The frontier orbital theory and Mülliken charges of molecular explain the electrochemical behavior of CV at modified electrode well. The singlet vertical excited states for NP(R) and NP(O) are also discussed.  相似文献

Electrochemical properties of nicotine at the glassy carbon electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes were explored. Nicotine underwent irreversible reduction at the modified electrode, which was an adsorption-controlled process with two protons and two electrons. The reductive peak current of nicotine significantly increased at the modified electrode compared with the bare glassy carbon electrode, suggesting that the multi-walled carbon nanotubes can enhance the electron transfer rate. The current was proportional to the concentration of nicotine over two line ranges, and the detection limit was 9.3 µM (at S/N?=?3). For ten parallel detections of 0.62 mM nicotine, the relative standard deviation was 2.67%, suggesting that the film modified electrode had excellent reproducibility. The modified electrode was applied to the direct determination of nicotine in tobacco samples with good sensitivity, selectivity and stability.  相似文献

A carbon paste electrode (CPE) was modified with multi-wall carbon nanotubes and successfully applied to the determination of silver ion by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry. Compared to a conventional CPE, a remarkably improved peak current response and sensitivity is observed. The analytical procedure consisted of an open circuit accumulation step for 2?min in ?0.4?V, this followed by an anodic potential scan between +0.2 and?+?0.6?V to obtain the voltammetric peak. The oxidation peak current is proportional to the concentration of silver ion in the range from 1.0?×?10?8 to 1.0?×?10?5?mol?L?1, with a detection limit of 1.8?×?10?9?mol?L?1 after an accumulation time of 120?s. The relative standard deviation for 7 successive determinations of Ag(I) at 0.1???M concentration is 1.99%. The procedure was validated by determining Ag(I) in natural waters.

A hydrothermal technique was used to synthesize nickel ferrite nanoparticles (NF-NPs) deposited on multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs). The material was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectrometry, and X-ray powder diffraction which showed that the NF-NPs are located on the surface of the carboxylated MWCNTs. The material was used to modify a glassy carbon electrode which then was characterized via cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and amperometry. The electrode displays strong electrochemical response to hydrazine. A potential hydrazine sensing scheme is suggested.

We discovered a novel method to prepare a protein-based hydrogel, that is, a “Three-Dimensional Nanostructured Protein Hydrogel (3D NPH)”, which is composed of protein–polymer hybrid nanoparticles. In this study, we propose a novel protein microarray whose 3D NPH spots were prepared by dispensing a small volume of the solution of protein–polymer mixture on a substrate. The dispensed solution had a short time for cross-linking before its drying-up and the resulting 3D NPH had loosely cross-linked, thin spongy structure. Therefore, the reaction ratio between ligands and analytes was drastically improved in this system compared with the large volume system for Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) protein microarray.  相似文献

A single-wall carbon nanotubes (SWNT)-Nafion film coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was described for the determination of 4-aminophenol. In pH 3.0 sodium citrate-HCl buffer, the oxidation peak current of 4-aminophenol increases greatly at the SWNT-Nafion film coated GCE in contrast to that at both bare GCE and Nafion-film coated GCE. Moreover, the oxidation peak potential shifts to more negative potential. All the experimental parameters were optimized for the determination of 4-aminophenol. The oxidation peak current is proportional to the concentration of 4-aminophenol over the range from 5×10−9 to 2×10−6 mol l−1. The detection limit is 8×10−10 mol l−1 at 4 min of accumulation. Using the proposed method, 4-aminophenol in water samples was determined.  相似文献

We used a carbon paste electrode modified with multi-walled carbon nanotubes as a working electrode and studied the electrochemical behavior of zirconium-alizarin red S complex on it. It was found that the modified electrode exhibited a significant catalytic effect toward the reduction of free alizarin red S and the complex. The second derivative linear scan voltammograms of the complex were recorded by a polarographic analyser from 0 to −1000 mV (vs. SCE), and it was found that the complex can be adsorbed on the surface of the modified electrode, yielding a peak at about −470 mV, corresponding to the reduction of alizarin red S in the complex. The linear range was found to be 2.0 × 10−11–8.0 × 10−7 mol L−1, and the detection limit was 1.0 × 10−11 mol L−1 (S/N = 3) for 3 min accumulation. The procedure was successfully applied to the determination of trace amounts of zirconium in the ore samples. A multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWNTs)-Nafion film-coated glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was fabricated and the electrochemical behavior of ofloxacin on the MWNTs-Nafion film-coated GCE were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The oxidation peak current of ofloxacin increased significantly on the MWNTs-Nafion film modified GCE compared with that using a bare GCE. This nano-structured film electrode exhibited excellent enhancement effects on the electrochemical oxidation of ofloxacin. A well-defined oxidation peak attributed to ofloxacin was observed at 0.97 V and was applied to the determination of ofloxacin. The oxidation peak current was proportional to ofloxacin concentration in the ranges 1.0 × 10−8 to 1.0 × 10−6 mol/L and 1.0 × 10−6 to 2.0 × 10−5 mol/L. A detection limit of 8.0 × 10−9 mol/L was obtained for 400 s accumulation at open circuit (S/N = 3). This method for the detection of ofloxacin in human urine was satisfactory. __________ Translated from Chinese Journal of Applied Chemistry, 2007, 24(5): 540–545 [译自: 应用化学]  相似文献
