We prove that every weak-local derivation on a C*-algebra is continuous, and the same conclusion remains valid for weak*-local derivations on von Neumann algebras. We further show that weak-local derivations on C*-algebras and weak*-local derivations on von Neumann algebras are derivations. We also study the connections between bilocal derivations and bilocal*-automorphism with our notions of extreme-strong-local derivations and automorphisms.  相似文献

We study quantizations of braided symmetric and exterior algebras of graded vector spaces and of braided derivations on these algebras. The present paper is devoted to genetic Volterra algebras. We first study characters of such algebras. We fully describe associative genetic Volterra algebras, in this case all derivations are trivial. In general setting, i.e., when the algebra is not associative, we provide a su?cient condition to get trivial derivation on generic Volterra algebras. Furthermore, we describe all derivations of three dimensional generic Volterra algebras, which allowed us to prove that any local derivation is a derivation of the algebra.  相似文献

The present paper deals with derivations of noncommutative Arens algebras. We prove that every derivation of an Arens algebra associated with a von Neumann algebra and a faithful normal finite trace is inner. In particular, each derivation on such algebras is automatically continuous in the natural topology, and in the commutative case, even for semi-finite traces, all derivations are identically zero. At the same time, the existence of noninner derivations is proved for noncommutative Arens algebras with a semi-finite but nonfinite trace.  相似文献

A structure of a left-symmetric algebra on the set of all derivations of a free algebra is introduced such that its commutator algebra becomes the usual Lie algebra of derivations. Left and right nilpotent elements of left-symmetric algebras of derivations are studied. Simple left-symmetric algebras of derivations and Novikov algebras of derivations are described. It is also proved that the positive part of the left-symmetric algebra of derivations of a free nonassociative symmetric m-ary algebra in one free variable is generated by one derivation and some right nilpotent derivations are described.  相似文献

The Lie algebra of Cartan type H which occurs as a subalgebra of the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra was generalized by the first author to a class which included a subalgebra of the derivations of the Laurent polynomials . We show in this paper that these generalizations of Cartan type H algebras are isomorphic to certain generalizations of the classical algebra of Poisson brackets, and that it can be generalized further. In turn, these algebras can be recast in a form that is an adaption of a class of Lie algebras of characteristic p that was defined in 1958 be R. Block. A further generalization of these algebras is the main topic of this paper. We show when these algebras are simple, find their derivations, and determine all possible isomorphisms between two of these algebras. We study central simple algebras with involution of the first kind that become hyperbolic over the function field of the conic associated to a given quaternion algebra Q. We classify these algebras in degree 4 and give an example of such a division algebra with orthogonal involution of degree 8 that does not contain (Q,), even though it contains Q and is totally decomposable into a tensor product of quaternion algebras.  相似文献

We study indefinite quaternion algebras over totally real fields F, and give an example of a cohomological construction of p-adic Jacquet–Langlands functoriality using completed cohomology. We also study the (tame) levels of p-adic automorphic forms on these quaternion algebras and give an analogue of Mazur’s ‘level lowering’ principle.  相似文献

We contribute to the classification of finite dimensional algebras under stable equivalence of Morita type. More precisely we give a classification of Erdmann’s algebras of dihedral, semi-dihedral and quaternion type and obtain as byproduct the validity of the Auslander-Reiten conjecture for stable equivalences of Morita type between two algebras, one of which is of dihedral, semi-dihedral or quaternion type.  相似文献

Nonassociative quaternion algebras were first discovered over the real numbers independently by Dickson and Albert and provided some of the first examples of nonassociative division algebras. They were later classified completely by Waterhouse. Cyclic algebras can be seen as a natural generalisation of the classical quaternion algebras. With this in mind we generalise nonassociative quaternion algebras and introduce nonassociative cyclic algebras. These provide new examples of nonassociative central division algebras with Nucleus a separable field extension of degree n.  相似文献

We investigate a new type of generalized derivations associated with Hochschild 2-cocycles which was introduced by A. Nakajima. We show that every generalized Jordan derivation of this type from CSL algebras or von Neumann algebras into themselves is a generalized derivation under some reasonable conditions. We also study generalized derivable mappings at zero point associated with Hochschild 2-cocycles on CSL algebras.  相似文献

We study the Lie structure of graded associative algebras. Essentially, we analyze the relation between Lie and associative graded ideals, and between Lie and associative graded derivations. Gathering together results on both directions, we compute maximal graded algebras of quotients of graded Lie algebras that arise from associative algebras. We also show that the Lie algebra Der gr (A) of graded derivations of a graded semiprime associative algebra is strongly non-degenerate (modulo a certain ideal containing the center of Der gr (A)).  相似文献

We show that Jordan triple homomorphisms and derivations between prime special quadral Jordan triple systems on which Zel’manov polynomials do not vanish extend to associative homomorphis and derivations of associative ?-envelopes (either associative triple systems or Z2-graded associative algebras). In finite dimensional Lie algebras, Jordan algebras, and other algebraic structures the study of derivations has been facilitated by having a nontrivial trace formula on hand (see for example [?]) . Tuere is no common pattern in proving these trace formulas, they all depend on the underlying structures. In this note we derive such a trace formula for finite dimensional central simple Jordan pairs. We use it to determine all derivations the Killing form and the dimensions of the derivation algebras of the Jordan pairs. Dur primary tool is a Trace Reduction Formula.  相似文献

We give a full classification of Lie algebras of specific type in complexified Clifford algebras. These 16 Lie algebras are direct sums of subspaces of quaternion types. We obtain isomorphisms between these Lie algebras and classical matrix Lie algebras in the cases of arbitrary dimension and signature. We present 16 Lie groups: one Lie group for each Lie algebra associated with this Lie group. We study connection between these groups and spin groups.  相似文献
