Approximation of functions by certain nonlinear integral operators

We study approximation properties of certain nonlinear integral operators L _n * obtained by a modification of given operators L _n . The operators L _n;r and L _n;r * of r-times differentiable functions are also studied. We give theorems on approximation orders of functions by these operators in polynomial weight spaces.     

An approximation problem of the finite rank operator in Banach spaces

By the method of geometry of Banach spaces, we have proven that a bounded linear operator in Banach space is a compact linear one iff it can be uniformly approximated by a sequence of the finite rank bounded homogeneous operators, which reveals the essence of the counter example given by Enflo.     

On composition operators onH p -spaces in several variables

In this paper, we prove that a composition operator onH ^p (B) is Fredholm if and only if it is invertible if and only if its symbol is an automorphism onB, and give the representation of the spectra of a class of composition operators. In addition, using composition operator, we discuss intertwining Toeplitz operators. Supported by NNSF and PDSF     

On hypercyclic operators on Banach spaces

We provide in this paper a direct and constructive proof of the following fact: for a Banach space there are bounded linear operators having hypercyclic vectors if and only if is separable and dim. This is a special case of a recent result, which in turn solves a problem proposed by S. Rolewicz.

     

Commuting dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space

In this paper we characterize commuting dual Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space in the Sobolev space. We also obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions for the product of two dual Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols to be a finite rank perturbation of a dual Toeplitz operator.     

Singular integral operators on product Triebel-Lizorkin spaces

In this paper, we consider the rough singular integral operators on product Triebel-Lizorkin spaces and prove certain boundedness properties on the Triebel-Lizorkin spaces. We also use the same method to study the fractional integral operator and the Littlewood-Paley functions. The results extend some known results.

On approximation of smooth functions from null spaces of optimal linear differential operators with constant coefficients

For a real valued function f defined on a finite interval I we consider the problem of approximating f from null spaces of differential operators of the form Ln(ψ) = n ∑ k=0 akψ(k), where the constant coefficients ak ∈ R may be adapted to f . We prove that for each f ∈ C(n)(I), there is a selection of coefficients {a1, ,an} and a corresponding linear combination Sn( f ,t) = n ∑ k=1 bkeλkt of functions ψk(t) = eλkt in the nullity of L which satisfies the following Jackson’s type inequality: f (m) Sn(m )( f ,t) ∞≤ |an|2n|Im|1/1q/ep|λ|λn|n|I||nm1 Ln( f ) p, where |λn| = mka x|λk|, 0 ≤ m ≤ n 1, p,q ≥ 1, and 1p + q1 = 1. For the particular operator Mn(f) = f + 1/(2n) f(2n) the rate of approximation by the eigenvalues of Mn for non-periodic analytic functions on intervals of restricted length is established to be exponential. Applications in algorithms and numerical examples are discussed.     

Weakly strongly singular integral operators on anisotropic Hardy spaces and their dual operators

Let A be an expansive dilation. We define weakly strongly singular integral kernels and study the action of the operators induced by these kernels on anisotropic Hardy spaces associated with A.     

An application of the generalized alternating polynomials to the numerical solution of Fredholm integral equations

Generalized alternating polynomials have been introduced by the author earlier. In the present paper their indirect analogue is constructed for numerical solution of the Fredholm linear integral equations. Although the proposed method is a particular case of the general projection scheme, its valuable feature is the presence of a sequence of parameters, which, for sufficiently smooth kernels and inhomogeneous terms, serves as an indicator of the quality of approximation.     

Algebraic properties of dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space

In this paper we investigate some algebra properties of dual Toeplitz operators on the orthogonal complement of the Dirichlet space in the Sobolev space. We completely characterize commuting dual Toeplitz operators with harmonic symbols, and show that a dual Toeplitz operator commutes with a nonconstant analytic dual Toeplitz operator if and only if its symbol is analytic. We also obtain the sufficient and necessary conditions on the harmonic symbols for SφSφψ= Sφψ.     

Essential spectrum of difference operators on periodic metric spaces

The paper deals with the study of Fredholm property and essential spectrum of general difference (or band) operators acting on the spaces l ^p (X) on a discrete metric space X periodic with respect to the action of a finitely generated discrete group. The Schrödinger operator on a combinatorial periodic graph is a prominent example of a band operator of this kind.     

Fredholm composition operators on algebras of analytic functions on Banach spaces

We prove that Fredholm composition operators acting on the uniform algebra H^∞(BE) of bounded analytic functions on the open unit ball of a complex Banach space E with the approximation property are invertible and arise from analytic automorphisms of the ball.     

On best simultaneous approximation in quotient spaces

We assume that X is a normed linear space, W and M are subspaces of X. We develop a theory of best simultaneous approximation in quotient spaces and introduce equivalent assertions between the subspaces W and W ＋ M and the quotient space W/M.     

On Racah operators

As a generalization of the well-known Racah coefficients (defined for finite-dimensional representations of semisimple Lie groups), we introduce the notion of Racah operators for locally compact groups with “nice” dual space. In the case of the group PSL(2,?), these operators are explicitly indicated.     

Generalized weighted Morrey spaces and classical operators

We introduce the notion of generalized weighted Morrey spaces and investigate the boundedness of some operators in these spaces, such as the Hardy–Littlewood maximal operator, generalized fractional maximal operators, generalized fractional integral operators, and singular integral operators. We also study their boundedness in the vector‐valued setting.     

Optimality of function spaces for kernel integral operators

We explore boundedness properties of kernel integral operators acting on rearrangement-invariant (r.i.) spaces. In particular, for a given r.i. space X we characterize its optimal range partner, that is, the smallest r.i. space Y such that the operator is bounded from X to Y. We apply the general results to Lorentz spaces to illustrate their strength.     

Parameterized Littlewood-Paley operators and area integrals on weak hardy spaces

In this paper,we establish the boundedness of parameterized Littlewood-Paley operator μ*,ρλ and parameterized area integral μΩρ,S with kernel satisfying the logarithmic type Lipschitz condition on the weak Hardy space.     

A class of integral operators on mixed norm spaces in the unit ball

This article provided some sufficient or necessary conditions for a class of integral operators to be bounded on mixed norm spaces in the unit ball.
