设$\varphi$为群${\rm Aut}(N)$的同态,记$H_\varphi\times N$为群$N$借助于群$H$的半直积.设$G$为有限不可解群,本文证明: 若$G$中最高阶元素个数为40, 则$G$同构于下列群之一:(1)~$Z_{4\varphi}\times A_5$,\,${\rm ker}\varphi=Z_2$; (2)~$D_{8\varphi}\times A_5,\,{\rm ker}\varphi=Z_2\times Z_2$; (3)~$G/N=S_5$, $N=Z(G)=Z_2$; (4)~$G/N=S_5$, $N=Z_2\times Z_2,\,N\cap Z(G)=Z_2$.     

最高阶元素个数为4pm的有限群

本文研究了最高阶元素个数对群结构的影响．运用群阶的素因子，k阶循环子群共轭类的长，以及K3-单群和K4-单群的相关结论，证明了最高阶元素个数为4p^m（p为素数，p〉17,2p＋1≠2^a3^b，且2^a3^b-1是素数，m是正整数）的有限群是可解群．     

Finite Groups with 30 Elements of Maximal Order

It is an interesting topic to determine the structure of a finite group which has a given number of elements of maximal order. In this article, the author classified finite groups with 30 elements of maximal order. This work is supported by NSFC (No. 10571128), NSF of CHONGQING (CSTC: 2005BB8096).     

Maximal and Sylow Subgroups of Solvable Finite Groups

The structure of finite solvable groups in which any Sylow subgroup is the product of two cyclic subgroups is studied. In particular, it is proved that the nilpotent length of such a group is no greater than 4. It is also proved that the nilpotent length of a finite solvable group in which the index of any maximal subgroup is either a prime or the square of a prime or the cube of a prime does not exceed 5.

本文讨论２阶及４阶循环子群对群结构的影响．主要结果是下述定理：如果有限群Ｇ满足标题的条件，那么下列情形之一成立：（１）Ｇ有正规Ｓｙｌｏｗ ２－子群；（２） Ｇ为 ２－幂零；（３） Ｇ ≌ Ｓ４；（４） Ｇ＝ＰＱ，其中 Ｐ为阶 ２４广义四元数群， Ｑ为 ３阶循环群；（５） Ｇ ≌ Ａ５或 ＳＬ（２，５）．
