The presence of level-anticrossing in the triplet state of the indirect impurity-bound exciton in GaSe has been found for the first time in the magnetic field of 1.5 kOe applied along the c-axis. Measurements on the magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) of the photoluminescence and on the spin dependent formation rate (SDFR) show that the |Sz| = 1 level lies 0.016 meV higher than the Sz = 0 level in the absence of the magnetic field. The resonance-like behavior in these two types of polarization correlation measurements may be explained in terms of weak perturbation between |Sz| = 1 and Sz = 0 levels. 相似文献

The memory structure induced by coherent transitions to the exciton-exciton scattering continuum is shown to have significant influence on spectrally resolved four-wave-mixing signals even under selective excitation of 1s excitons. Comparisons between experiments and calculations that account nonperturbatively for these quantum kinetic Coulomb correlations demonstrate large compensations between mean-field contributions and transitions to the two-pair continuum. Experiments with different polarizations of the laser pulses show that two-pair continuum correlations are responsible for delay-time dependent shifts of the excitonic emission as well as for substantial deformations of the line shape. 相似文献

The degree of circular polarization of the free-exciton luminescence line has been measured in GaSe excited by circularly polarized light at 4.2 K under longitudinal magnetic field. The result shows that the spin relaxation time of exciton is field-dependent but the spin memory before reaching the exciton ground state is almost unaffected by the applied longitudinal magnetic field. 相似文献

Emission spectra have been investigated in GaSe at 80 K under nitrogen laser excitation. In the case of intense excitation, an additional broad band appears at 5970 Å, and is considered to be due to an exciton-exciton collision process. This process leads to stimulated emission. 相似文献

A theoretical and experimental study of the effect of a longitudinal magnetic field on optical orientation and magneto-circular
polarization of the luminescence of localized excitons in semiconducting solid solutions is reported. It is shown that recombination
takes place through two types of emitting states differing substantially in the degree of anisotropy, g factor, and spin relaxation time. Estimates are made of the g factors, anisotropic and exchange splittings, lifetime, and spin relaxation time of localized states in a CdS0.96Se0.04/GaAs solidsolution epitaxial layer.

The linear polarization of quadrupole emission by the J=2-J 0=0 transition under conditions of laser excitation in a gas medium is studied. Cases of excitation through dipole and quadrupole absorption of monochromatic laser radiation are considered. Taking into account the anisotropy of collisional relaxation, the contributions of polarization moments of the second and fourth ranks, i.e., those with usual and hexadecapole alignments, to the signal of linear polarization of quadrupole emission are calculated. The dependence of this signal on the laser frequency, the density of the gas medium, and the angles determining the orientation of the system of axes of observation of light polarization relative to a laser ray is studied. The numerical calculations of contributions of usual and hexadecapole alignment to the signal of linear polarization are made for the magnetic quadrupole transition J=2-J 0=0 between the states 2p 5(2 P 1 2/0 )3p′[3/2]2 and 2p 5(2 P 1 2/0 )3s 3s′[1/2]0 of neon atoms in the xenon atmosphere. 相似文献

In this work, the photoelectric properties of gallium selenide (GaSe) monocrystals in the edge absorption region, with various configurations of current contacts, at low and high optical excitation levels are investigated. The photoconductivity spectrum behavior is determined by localized electronic and excitonic states along c-axis. It is shown that the localization of electronic and excitonic states in one-dimensional fluctuation potential along c-axis results to an anisotropy in photoconductivity spectrum at various current contacts configurations. At E⊥c the photoconductivity is observed in the hν < Eg and hν > Eg regions. In the case of hv < Eg, the maximum photoconductivity, in the impurity and exciton absorption region are observed at 1.975 eV and 2.102 eV, respectively. With rising of excitation energy level, suppression of photoconductivity in the exciton absorption region and increases in impurity absorption region is observed. At E||c contact configuration, the considerable photoconductivity is observed only in the impurity absorption region, which also increases with rising of excitation level. It is supposed that, suppression of photoconductivity in the exciton absorption region at high excitation levels is connected with exciton-exciton interaction, which results to a nonlinear light absorption. We demonstrate the generation of triggered single photons at a predetermined and well defined energy using the radiative recombination of single nitrogen-bound excitons in a semiconductor. The nitrogen atoms are embedded in a ZnSe quantum well structure and were excited by nonresonant optical pumping (82 MHz) at low temperature (4 K). We find resolution-limited photoluminescence lines (280 micro eV) which display photon antibunching under continuous optical pumping. Our results also suggest that single nitrogen-bound excitons are well suited for cavity quantum electrodynamics experiments. 相似文献

We have investigated non-markovian dephasing by using time-resolved and spectrally resolved four-wave mixing measurements in a layered semiconductor GaSe. When the time interval between the first and second excitation pulses is increased, photon echo spectra exhibit narrowing only in a regime of a few picoseconds. In the initial dephasing of these signals, fast damping is observed. The narrowing of the spectrally resolved signal is consistent with the Fourier transformation of the time-resolved signals. Spectral narrowing is crucial evidence of the transition from non-markovian to markovian dynamics. By comparing experimental data with calculation results based on the non-markovian theory, we have found that the correlation time of the exciton-phonon interaction is 1.1 ps. 相似文献

Abstract Employing resonant Raman and luminescence spectroscopy, various exciton states and phonon modes are studied at low temperature in AgBr under hydrostatic pressure up to 0.7 GPa. The deformation potential for the indirect free exciton gap and mode Grüneisen parameters for various phonons are determined. Excitons bound to neutral donors and isoelectronic iodine are found to essentially derive from L-point valence band states. 相似文献
