This paper detailedly studies the transmission probability, the spin polarization and the conductance of the ballistic electron in a nanostructure with the periodic magnetic-electric barriers. These observable quantities are found to be strongly dependent not only on the magnetic configuration, the incident electron energy and the incident wave vector, but also on the number of the periodic magnetic-electric barriers. The transmission coefficient and the spin polarization show a periodic pattern with the increase of the separation between two adjacent magnetic fields, and the resonance splitting increases as the number of periods increases. Surprisingly, it is found that a polarization can be achieved by spin-dependent resonant tunnelling in this structure, although the average magnetic field of the structure is zero.  相似文献

本文提出一种基于电子-电子自旋交换相互作用获得自旋极化电流的模型.该方案中,需要两个距离相近的量子点.其中一个是开放系统,另一个是封闭系统.开放系统能完成单电子输运,封闭系统产生比较强的局域磁场,两个系统之间有电子-电子自旋交换相互作用.该相互作用会影响电子输运,从而可以对电子输运产生自旋过滤效应.我们用量子主方程描述开放系统的演化,在有效哈密顿量的基础上,可以得到解析结果.结果显示,在低温条件下,交换相互作用足够强的时候,系统给出的自旋过滤效率接近1.  相似文献

In this letter, the transmission probability and the conductance of the ballistic electron are studied in a nanostructure with the periodic magnetic-electric barriers. We find that the resonant splitting increases with the number of periods increasing, so the number of the resonant peaks increases and the peaks become sharper. For the m-th periodic magnetic-electric barriers tunneling the splitting is (m-1)-fold.  相似文献

The spin-dependent transport properties in the non-collinear pattern of series of δ-magnetic barriers are studied by using scattering theory and Green's function methods. The Green's function is obtained by using distorted wave approach and the scattering matrix is related by Fisher-Lee relationship. In addition to reproducing the results of Papp's and Xu's in parallel and antiparallel configurations, we also obtain further results, where arbitrary orientations of the magnetic barriers and arbitrary number of barriers are included. The main finding of our results is that the signs of polarizations can be switched around some "geometric unpolarized windows". The well-known antiparallel configuration has no such characteristics. Furthermore, we discuss spin-related partial densities of states in both polarized and unpolarized structures.  相似文献

利用漂移扩散理论研究了磁性pn结中自旋的输运特性.探讨了外加电压、平衡自旋极化率、外加自旋注入和自旋寿命对磁性pn结电流密度和电阻的影响,讨论了磁性pn结自旋伏特效应与pn结宽度的关系.发现平衡自旋极化率使得不同自旋方向电子具有不同的势垒高度从而能有效调制电流;而外加自旋注入则为磁性pn结提供了非平衡自旋极化电子从而达到对电流的调制作用,同时发现自旋伏特电流随准中性p区宽度减小而增大. 关键词: 磁性pn结 自旋极化率 自旋寿命 自旋伏特效应  相似文献

We studied the electron heat transport across a non‐local stochastic magnetic field and a non‐local non‐stochastic magnetic field in tokamak plasmas. Analytical results and numerical simulation results were compared with conditions of a stochastic and a non‐stochastic magnetic field respectively in this article. Parameter of stochasticity in perturbed magnetic field was found not tobe a key factor in influencing effective radial heat conductivity in radial direction of tokomak when Chirikov parameter is close to one (© 2010 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. The interconversion between spin, charge, and heat currents is being actively studied from the viewpoints of both fundamental physics and thermoelectric applications in the field of spin caloritronics. This field is a branch of spintronics, which has developed rapidly since the discovery of the thermo-spin conversion phenomenon called the spin Seebeck effect. In spin caloritronics, various thermo-spin conversion phenomena and principles have subsequently been discovered and magneto-thermoelectric effects, thermoelectric effects unique to magnetic materials, have received renewed attention with the advances in physical understanding and thermal/thermoelectric measurement techniques. However, the existence of various thermo-spin and magneto-thermoelectric conversion phenomena with similar names may confuse non-specialists. Thus, in this Review, the basic behaviors, spin-charge-heat current conversion symmetries, and functionalities of spin-caloritronic phenomena are summarized, which will help new entrants to learn fundamental physics, materials science, and application studies in spin caloritronics.  相似文献

We investigated the electronic energy band and transport features of graphene superlattice with periodically modulated magnetic vector potential and electrostatic potential.It is found that both parallel magnetic vector potential and electrostatic potential can decisively shift Dirac point in a different way,which may be an efficient way to achieveelectron or hole filter.We also find that applying modulated parallel and anti-parallel magnetic vector potential to the electrons can efficiently change electronic states between pass and stop states,which can be useful in designing electron or hole switches and lead to large magneto-resistance.  相似文献

The de Haas-van Alphen(dHvA) oscillations of electronic magnetization in a monolayer graphene with structureinduced spin-orbit interaction(SOI) are studied.The results show that the dHvA oscillating centre in this system deviates from the well known(zero) value in a conventional two-dimensional electron gas.The inclusion of SOI will change the well-defined sawtooth pattern of magnetic quantum oscillations and result in a beating pattern.In addition,the SOI effects on Hall conductance and magnetic susceptibility are also discussed.  相似文献

The laws governing polarization of luminescence in the nanostructure Si/CaF2 upon polarization of the spins of the fluorine nuclei by means of optical excitation of charge carriers are considered theoretically. The possibility of studying experimentally the properties of nuclear spins in analyzing luminescence is shown. Experimental results on the properties of a recently discovered new collective state, the magnetofermionic condensate, are summarized herein. Condensation occurs in a fermionic system, a quantum Hall insulator (filling factor ν = 2), as a result of the formation of a dense ensemble of long‐lived spin cyclotron magnetoexcitons, composite bosons. At temperatures below 1 K, the exciton ensemble exhibits a sharp enhancement in its response to an external electromagnetic field due to the formation of a super‐absorbing state that interacts coherently with the electromagnetic field. Simultaneously, the electrons below the Fermi level rearrange to form a new non‐equilibrium radiative recombination channel. The condensate shows a sharp decrease in viscosity and the ability to spread over macroscopically large distances, on the order of a millimeter, at a speed of 10 3 cm s ? 1 . Due to this rapid long‐distance spin transfer, new opportunities in the field of spintronics have been opened up.  相似文献

Taking into account the quantum size effect and the spin dependence of the electronic band structure, and including the spin dependence of the scattering from bulk impurities and two different sets of surface roughness, we present a theory on the electronic transport in magnetic film, in which the average autocorrelation function (ACF) for surface roughness is described by a Gaussion model. Our result shows that the conductivity is a sensitive function of surface roughness and exchange energy. It is also found that in the thin film limit and in the lower-order approximation of the surface scattering, the total conductivity is given by a sum of conductivities of all the subbands and the two spin channels, for each subband and each spin channel the scattering rates due to the impurities and two surfaces are additive.  相似文献

Using the nonequilibrium Green's function technique, we investigate the Kondo effect in the quantum dot with perpendicular magnetic fields, in which one is the Zeeman splitting lies in the z-direction and the other is the spin flip points at the x-direction. It is found whatever one or two magnetic fields are applied, the local density of states (LDOS) will split into two peaks. The positions of two Kondo resonance peaks are determined by Zeeman energy △ when J = 0, and by √△^2+J^2 when J≠0.  相似文献

基于一维自旋链模型,采用Monte Carlo方法对具有反铁磁相互作用的自旋一I和自旋-3/2交替混合的亚铁磁系统进行模拟计算,研究单离子各向异性对系统磁特性的影响.模拟结果发现:基态时系统的磁化强度在外加磁场作用下呈现出阶梯状,并获得了自旋-1和自旋-3/2交替混合的亚铁磁系统相图.最后,通过对系统能量和自旋组态的研究,解释了该系统中出现的阶梯效应和相图.  相似文献

Hall effect measurements in undoped In0.5Ga0.5 P/GaAs allo grown by metal organic vapour-phase epitaxy (MOVPE) have been carried out in the temperat.ure range 15-350K. The experimenta.1 results are analysed using a two-band model including conduction band transport calculated using an iterative solution of the Boltz- mann equation. A good agreement was obtained between theory and experiment. The impurity contents of In0.5Ga0.5 P/GaAs alloy, such as donor density ND, acceptor density NA and donor activation energy εD, were also determined.  相似文献

Based on a classical Heisenberg lattice model with dipole interaction and the method of spin dynamic simulation,the magnetic configurations (MC),hysteresis loop (HL) and magnetic resistance (MR) of the nanomagnets with different geometries,such as circle,square and rectangle,are studied for different directions of applied field.In the case of perpendicular field to the plane,the magnetization and MR are reversible and have not hysteresis.When the field is applied in the plane,the HL is irreversible and is qualitatively well agreeable with the current experimental results.The MR loop is also irreversible and appears two peaks distributed at two sides around zero field.The peaks of magnetic resistance are relative to the vortex state of similar configuration.Large easy-axis anisotropy will suppress the MC anisotropy,and the large magnetoresistance effect disappears.  相似文献

自旋电子学由于其丰富的物理内涵和广泛的应用前景受到学术界和工业界的高度重视,成为近年来凝聚态物理和信息技术领域关注的焦点。本文介绍了利用磁性金属纳米结构实现作为自旋电子器件基础的自旋注入的方法,特别涉及利用铁磁金属纳米点接触结构钉扎磁畴的特点,研究自旋极化电流与磁畴壁的相互作用规律, 理解纳米结构中畴壁的动力学行为,并以此为基础构筑结构简单、性能优异的全金属磁逻辑电路,从而实现了由电信号驱动,通过电信号检测,并与CMOS技术兼容的目的。  相似文献
