Let K be a complete ultrametric algebraically closed field. We investigate several properties of sequences (an)nN in a disk d(0,R) with regards to bounded analytic functions in that disk: sequences of uniqueness (when f(an)=0∀nN implies f=0), identity sequences (when limn→+∞f(an)=0 implies f=0) and analytic boundaries (when lim supn→∞|f(an)|=‖f‖). Particularly, we show that identity sequences and analytic boundary sequences are two equivalent properties. For certain sequences, sequences of uniqueness and identity sequences are two equivalent properties. A connection with Blaschke sequences is made. Most of the properties shown on analytic functions have continuation to meromorphic functions.  相似文献

We present a new proof of Zippin's Embedding Theorem, that every separable reflexive Banach space embeds into one with shrinking and boundedly complete basis, and every Banach space with a separable dual embeds into one with a shrinking basis. It is known that within metric spaces analyticity and K-analyticity are equivalent concepts. It is known also that non-separable weakly compactly generated (shortly WCG) Banach spaces over R or C provide concrete examples of weakly K-analytic spaces which are not weakly analytic. We study the case which totally differs from the above one. A general theorem is provided which shows that a Banach space E over a locally compact non-archimedean non-trivially valued field is weakly Lindelöf iff E is separable iff E is WCG iff E is weakly web-compact (in the sense of Orihuela). This provides a non-archimedean version of a remarkable Amir-Lindenstrauss theorem.  相似文献

A p-adic-valued function on the p-adic integers has a continuous derivative, Mahler showed, whenever its interpolation coefficients decay at a certain rate. It is shown here that Mahler's decay condition is equivalent to the strict differentiability of the function. There is a discussion of the Banach-space structure of the space of strictly differentiable functions. It is shown, moreover, that there is no rate of decay common to all functions with continuous derivative. Specifically, given any decay condition, there exists a function with derivative identically zero, whose interpolation coefficients decay more slowly.  相似文献

It is shown that for every separable Banach space X with non-separable dual, the space contains an unconditional family of size . The proof is based on Ramsey Theory for trees and finite products of perfect sets of reals. Among its consequences, it is proved that every dual Banach space has a separable quotient.  相似文献

Let Lp(s,χ) denote a Leopoldt-Kubota p-adic L-function, where p>2 and χ is a nonprincipal even character of the first kind. The aim of this article is to study how the values assumed by this function depend on the Iwasawa λ-invariant associated to χ. Assuming that λ?p−1, it turns out that Lp(s,χ) behaves, in some sense, like a polynomial of degree λ. The results lead to congruences of a new type for (generalized) Bernoulli numbers.

We study the stability properties of the class of weak*-extensible spaces introduced by Wang, Zhao, and Qiang showing, among other things, that weak*-extensibility is equivalent to having a weak*-sequentially continuous dual ball (in short, w*SC) for duals of separable spaces or twisted sums of w*SC spaces. This shows that weak*-extensibility is not a 33-space property, solving a question posed by Wang, Zhao, and Qiang. We also introduce a restricted form of weak*-extensibility, called separable weak*-extensibility, and show that separably weak*-extensible Banach spaces have the Gelfand–Phillips property, although they are not necessarily w*SC spaces.  相似文献

Let X be a Banach space with a countable unconditional basis (e.g., X = 2 Hilbert space), ΩX pseudoconvex open, EΩ a locally trivial holomorphic vector bundle with a Banach space Z for fiber type, the sheaf of germs of holomorphic sections of EΩ, and Z 1 the Banach space . Then and Ω × Z 1 are holomorphically isomorphic, is acyclic and E is so to speak stably trivial over Ω in a generalized sense. We also show that if E is continuously trivial over Ω, then E is holomorphically trivial over Ω. In particular, if Z = 2 or Ω is contractible, then E is holomorphically trivial over Ω. The extension of Banach Lie-Poisson spaces is studied and linked to the extension of a special class of Banach Lie algebras. The case of W∗-algebras is given particular attention. Very few Banach spaces E are known for which the lattice of closed ideals in the Banach algebra of all (bounded, linear) operators on E is fully understood. Indeed, up to now the only such Banach spaces are, up to isomorphism, Hilbert spaces and the sequence spaces c0 and ?p for 1?p<∞. We add a new member to this family by showing that there are exactly four closed ideals in for the Banach space E?(⊕?2n)c0, that is, E is the c0-direct sum of the finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces ?21,?22,…,?2n,… .  相似文献

In this note we give a new proof of Witt's formula for Euler numbers, which are related to some known or new identities involving the Euler numbers. We also obtain a brief proof of a classical result on Euler numbers modulo of two due to M.A. Stern using the approach of p-adic integration, which was recently proved by G. Liu, and Z.-W. Sun. Finally some explicit formulas for Genocchi numbers are proved and applications are given.  相似文献
