Über Reaktionen verschiedener Phenanthrolinderivate mit Eisen

Zusammenfassung 5-Methyl-, 5,6-Dimethyl-, 5-Chlor- und 5-Nitro-1,10-Phenanthrolin werden als Reagenzien für Eisen(II) untersucht. Der Einfluß von Säureart und Säuregrad auf die Komplexentwicklung wird angegeben. Die Salpetersäure ist das günstigste Reaktionsmedium, wobei man mit dem 5-Nitroderivat noch bei p_H ⁰ volle Komplexausbildung erreicht. Bei entsprechender Wahl der Säureart ist eine Empfindlichkeitssteigerung möglich. Die Eisenkomplexe des 5-Methyl- und 5,6-Dimethyl-1,10 Phenanthrolins lassen sich gut mit höheren Alkoholen und mit Chloroform und bestens mit einem Alkohol-Chloroform-Gemisch extrahieren. Die Verteilungskoeffizienten werden angegeben. Da die Komplexe auch in organischer Lösung das Lambert-Beersche Gesetz erfüllen, erscheint eine Extraktion für die analytische Praxis von Vorteil.

Summary A study was made of 5-methyl-, 5,6-dimethyl-, 5-chloro-, and 5-nitro 1,10-phenanthroline with respect to their employment as reagents for iron(II). The influence of the kind of acid and the degree of acidity on the development of the complex is stated. Nitric acid is the most favorable reaction medium, and with it complex development is attained even at p_H ⁰ with the 5-nitro compound. By suitably choosing the kind of acid, it is possible to enhance the sensitivity. The iron complexes of the 5-methyland the 5,6-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthrolines can be satisfactorily extracted with higher alcohols and with chloroform, and best with an alcohol-chloroform mixture. The distribution coefficients are given. Since the complexes obey the Lambert-Beer law even in organic solution, an extraction apparently is of advantage for analytical practice.

Résumé On a étudié les méthyl-5, diméthyl-5,6, chloro-5 et nitro-5 phénanthroline 1-10, comme réactifs du fer-II. On a mis au point l'influence de la nature et de la concentration en acide sur le développement du complexe. L'acide nitrique constitue le milieu réactionnel le plus favorable, en atteignant la formation compléte du complexe même á p_H ⁰, avec le dérivé nitro-5. On peut augmenter la sensibilité en choisissant l'acide correspondant. On peut extraire dans de bonnes conditions le complexe ferreux des méthyl-5 et diméthyl-5,6 phénanthroline 1-10 par des alcools supérieurs et par le chloroforme et encore mieux par un mélange alcool-chloroforme. On fournit les coefficients de partage. Comme les complexes suivent la loi de Lambert-Beer, même en solution organique, une extraction semble avantageuse pour la pratique de l'analyse.

Über hochempfindliche und spezifische mikrochemische Reaktionen des Sparteins mit Kobalt- und Eisensalzen

Zusammenfassung Spartein gibt mit Kobaltrhodanid charakteristische Kristalle. Diese Reaktion wird einerseits zum Nachweis von Spartein, anderseits von Co (II)-Salzen empfohlen. Analoges gilt für Fe (III)-Salze.

Summary Spartein, when added to cobalt thiocyanate, gives characteristic crystals. This reaction is useful for the detection of both spartein and cobalt(II)salts. Fe(III)salts give an analogous reaction.

Résumé Le rhodanure de cobalt agit sur la spartéine, en donnant des cristaux caractéristiques. Cette réaction est recommandée pour déceler, soit la spartéine, soit les sels de Co (II). La réaction des sels de Fe (III) est analogue.
