It was found that intra- and extracellular cotton peroxidases were involved in infection by the phytopathogen Verticillium dahliae. Extracellular peroxidase was more active. Its activity was greater in resistant variety AN-Bayaut-2 than in susceptible C-4727. It was found that activation in the susceptible cotton variety caused by pathogen infection occurred via de novo protein synthesis whereas in the resistant variety it occurred via synthesis of new ones and activation of already existing peroxidases.  相似文献

A study has been made of the gossypol pigments of the seeds and roots of a cotton plant of the variety Tashkent-1 infected with wilt in comparison with a healthy plant. The amount of gossypol in the infected plant was lower than in the healthy plant. In the diseased plant, gossypurpurin was concentrated in the roots, and in the healthy plant it was concentrated in the seeds. Intra- and intervariety changes in these indices for the infected plants have been revealed. Different directions of the post-infection changes in the lipids according to the degree of resistance of the variety to wilt have been shown. Five lots of ten chromarods were spotted with 2, 4, 6, or 8 μg of cholesterol ester, cholestero, triglyceride, methyl ester and free fatty acid and then analyzed using an Iatroscan. Rod-to-rod and lot-to-lot differences in the detector response were evident n the data. The standard deviation for the rod within lot response appeared to increase linearly as the amount of lipid applied was increased. The logarithms of the detector response data were analysed statistically to determine the relative magnitude of the rod-to-rod and lot-to-lot variances. When methyl ester was used as an internal standard or as a covariate, the variation from rod to rod and lot to lot was much smaller than in the original analysis.  相似文献

Summary The qualitative and quantitative compositions of the neutral lipids and the fatty-acid composition of the individual classes of neutral lipids isolated from fresh, freeze-dried, and air-dry cells of the algaChlorella vulgaris have been investigated.The presence of natural fatty acid methyl esters in the lipid extract of the fresh and air-dry chlorella cells has been established.It has been shown that the fatty acid methyl ester fraction is enriched with palmitic acid as compared with the triglyceride and free fatty acid fractions.The main unsaturated acids of the chlorella lipids contain the first double bond in the 9 position.Division of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR, Tashkent. The qualitative and quantitative set of lipid components of the seeds of healthy cotton plants of the variety Tashkent-1 and plants infected with verticillium wilt have been studied. It has been established that the compositions of the lipids of the two samples differ considerably.
