采用时域有限差分法数值求解Maxwell方程组,分析了平面随机介质中光波模式的频谱时间演化特性.随机介质的特征可以用散射颗粒的随机构形、介质参数(如颗粒的尺寸和填充率等)以及介质形态等因素来描述.这些因素决定了随机介质在准稳态下模式的频率特性与数量,但具有不同因素的随机介质中模式的产生、选择与演化,具有大致相同的特征与速度.平面随机介质的这些冷腔特性,与传统光腔中模式的产生、选择和演化的特征非常相似.关键词:激光物理随机激光器无序介质中的光学特性 相似文献

基于将Maxwell方程与四能级原子系统速率方程相结合而建立起随机激光时域理论,并利用有限时域差分法,研究了二维随机介质中激光模式的输出特性与介质尺寸、外形及抽运速率等参数的关系.结果表明,与传统激光模式相似,随机激光模式的强度随抽运速率的变化不仅具有阈值特性,而且具有饱和特性.基于模式特性对介质及抽运参数的依赖关系,提出了二维随机激光器的选模方式,在很大程度上不同于传统激光器的选模方式. 关键词:随机激光器模式选择无序介质中的光学特性 相似文献

基于将Maxweil方程与四能级原子系统速率方程相结合而建立起的随机激光时域理论,并利用有限时域差分法,研究了一维随机激活介质中激光模式的输出强度与抽运速率之间的关系.结果表明,与传统激光模式相似,随机激光模式的强度随抽运速率的变化不仅具有阈值特性,而且具有饱和特性.用模式的空间区域来表征模式的局域化程度,发现局域化程度越强的模式,阈值越低.不过,这种关系不是一一对应的.这表明模式的局域化程度是决定阈值大小的重要因素,但不是唯一的因素. 相似文献

A random laser is a strongly disordered, laser‐active optical medium. The coherent laser feedback, which has been demonstrated experimentally to be present in these systems beyond doubt, requires the existence of spatially localized photonic quasimodes. However, the origin of these quasimodes has remained controversial. We develop an analytical theory for diffusive random lasers by coupling the transport theory of the disordered medium to the semiclassical laser rate equations, accounting for (coherent) stimulated and (incoherent) spontaneous emission. From the causality of wave propagation in an amplifying, diffusive medium we derive a novel length scale which we identify with the average mode radius of the lasing quasi‐modes. We show that truly localized modes do not exist in the system without photon number conservation. However, we find that causality in the amplifying medium implies the existence of a novel, finite intensity correlation length which we identify with the average mode volume of the lasing quasimodes. We show further that the surface of the laser‐active medium is crucial in order to stabilize a stationary lasing state. We solve the laser transport theory with appropriate surface boundary conditions to obtain the spatial distributions of the light intensity and of the occupation inversion. The dependence of the intensity correlation length on the pump rate agrees with experimental findings. 相似文献

Hybridly polarized (HP) vector vortex Raman lasers dramatically extend their applications on optical microscopy, optical communication, and quantum information. Spatial light modulators and waveplates are widely used for generating HP vector vortex lasers, however, the performance and beam quality of HP vector vortex lasers are restricted by diffraction loss and low damage threshold of these optical elements. Here, HP vector vortex Raman microchip lasers constructed with Yb3+:Y3Al5O12 (Yb:YAG) and vanadate (YVO4) crystals is demonstrated. The states of polarization (SoP) of HP vector vortex lasers are combination of radial and anti-radial polarizations (RP-ARP), azimuthal and anti-azimuthal polarizations (AP-AAP). The SoP of HP vector vortex lasers can be controlled by adjusting the length of YVO4 crystal and applying pump power. Maximum output powers are 456 and 586 mW with optical efficiency of 7.1% and 9.2% for HP vector vortex lasers with SoP of RP-ARP and AP-AAP. The HP vector vortex Raman lasers with SoP of RP-ARP and AP-AAP oscillate ≈1076 nm with bandwidths of 11.4 and 10.8 nm. High beam quality is achieved for HP vector vortex lasers with measured M2 nearly equal to theoretical value. The broadband HP vector vortex Raman lasers with high beam quality extend applications on optical trapping, and quantum information processing. 相似文献

A method to control the polarization of random terahertz lasing in two-dimensional disordered ruby medium

Terahertz (THz) random lasing is studied numerically for two-dimensional disordered media made of ruby grains with a three-level atomic system. A method via the adjustment of the pumping area to control the polarization of the THz wave is proposed. Computed results reveal that transverse electric THz lasing modes could occur if pumping is supplied on the whole medium, while transverse magnetic THz lasing modes could occur if pumping is appropriately supplied on a partial area of the medium. 相似文献
