A new potential tetradentate ligand, N-nicotinoyl-N-2-furanthiocarbohydrazide (H2Nfth), and its complexes with VOIV, MnII, FeII,III, CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, u.v.–vis, i.r., n.m.r., ES+ and FAB mass spectral data. The room temperature e.s.r spectra of the VOIV and FeIII complexes yield g values, characteristic of octahedral complexes. The Mössbauer spectra of [Fe(HNfth)2] and [Fe2(Nfth)3] at room temperature and at 78 K suggest the presence of high-spin iron(II) and iron(III), respectively. The complexes are electrically insulating at room temperature, however, their conductivities increase as the temperature increases from 333–383 K, with a band gap of 0.46–0.77 eV, indicating their semiconducting behaviour. H2Nfth and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

A new ligand, N-phenyl-N -2-furanthiocarbohydrazide (HPhfth), and its complexes with VOIV, MnIII, FeIII, CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, i.r., n.m.r., u.v.–vis., mass and FAB mass spectral data. The room temperature e.s.r. spectra of the VOIV, FeIII and CuII complexes yield <g> values characteristic of square pyramidal VOIV, octahedral FeIII and square planar CuII, respectively. The NiII and CuII complexes semiconduct, but the ZnII complex is an insulator at room temperature. However, the conductivity increases as the temperature increases from 303–383 K, with a band gap of 0.21–1.01 eV. HPhfth and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

Electrochemical reactions of Co(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) complexes with 4-(2-oxopropylidene)-2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-3-imidazolidine-1-oxyl are studied by voltammetry and electrolysis-EPR. The radical centers of the ligands in these complexes undergo one-electron irreversible oxidation and reduction. In the Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes, the metals also undergo one-electron oxidation and reduction, respectively.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 12, pp. 2750–2754, December, 1991.  相似文献

The synthesis of 4′-(2-methylphenyl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (L) has been improved. The coordination chemistry of the ligand was explored using Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Ag(I) ions. X-ray crystallography, elemental analysis, NMR, and mass spectrometry were used to characterize the 13 new compounds that have been synthesized. Under different reaction conditions, Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) produced discrete complexes, sometimes containing more than one metal ion, while Ag(I) furnished a polymeric spiral complex in which the central pyridine nitrogen of each terpyridine ligand bridges two Ag(I) ions. Crystallographically characterized complexes are [Ni(L)2]Cl2, [Ni2Cl4(L)2], [Ni(L)(OH2)3]Cl2, [Ni(L)2]Br2, [Cu(L)(OH2)(OSO3)], [Cu3Cl6(L)2], [Cu(L)(OH)(OH2)2]PF6, [Cu(L)2](OTf)2, [Cu(L)(OAc)2], [Zn(L)(OAc)2], [Zn(L)Cl2], [Zn(L)2](NO3)2, [{Ag2(μ-L)2(μ-NO3)}n](NO3)n.  相似文献

Three new coordination polymers of copper(II), zinc(II) and cadmium(II), Cu(H2O)(Dpds)(2-MGA) (I), [Zn(Dpds)(2-MGA)] · 1.25H2O (II) and [Cd(H2O)(Dpds)(2-MGA)] · 0.25H2O (III) (Dpds = 4,4′-dipyridyldisulfide, H2MGA = (RS)-2-methyl glutaric acid), have been synthesized and characteried by X-ray single crystal structure determination. The Cu atoms in I are alternately bridged by Dpds ligands and 2-methylglutarato ligands to generate 1D chain. The resulted chains are assembled via S...S weak interactions into 2D layers, which are through twofold 2D parallel/2D parallel mode inclined interpenetration to induce 3D supramolecular architecture. In II, the ZnN2O2 tetrahedras are bridged by 2-MGA anion and Dpds ligands to form 2D (4,4) networks, which are assembled via hydrogen bonds to 3D supramolecular architecture. The centrosymmetric binuclear units Cd2(2-MGA)2 in III are bridged by Dpds ligands to form 1D repeated rhomboids chains, which are interlinked via S...S weak interactions into 2D layer, and the resulting 2D sheets are inclined parallel into 3D network.  相似文献

Complexes of 4′-(4′″-benzo-15-crown-5)methyloxy-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine (L) with metal perchlorates and hexafluorophosphates, [ML2](ClO4)2 · nH2O and [ML2](PF6)2 · nH2O · mC2H5OH (M = Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), Cu(II); n = 0–3; m = 0–2), were synthesized. Their vibrational spectra were studied. The spectral criteria for ligand coordination through the terpyridinic nitrogen atoms were established. The conformational structure of the B15C5 macrocycles of a ligand molecule in the synthesized complexes was proposed. The complexes were studied by thermogravimetry.  相似文献

Neutral complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), and Zn(II) have been synthesized from the oxamide-based ligand derived from leucine and diethyloxalate. The structural features have been deduced from their microanalytical, IR, UV/Vis, mass, 1H and 13C NMR spectral data. The Co(II) and Ni(II) chelates have octahedral geometries and the Cu(II) chelate is a square-pyramidal geometry. The non-electrolytic and monomeric nature of the complexes is shown by their magnetic susceptibility and low conductance data. The biological activities of the ligand and its metal chelates against gram-positive and negative bacteria and fungi are also reported. All the compounds are antimicrobially active and show higher activity than the free ligand.  相似文献

The results of syntheses and X-ray diffraction analyses of mononuclear complexes [ML2(H2O)4] (M = Co2+(I), Cu2+(II), and Zn2+(III)) containing water molecules and anions of acetic acid α-(N-benzoxazolin-2-one) (L = C9H6O4) are presented. The crystals of complexes I–III are isostructural (space group P21/n, Z = 2) and are built of discrete neutral complex molecules. The crystallographic data are as follows: for complex I, a = 6.1470(5), b = 5.3310(3), c = 30.5894(17) Å, β = 95.056(6)°, V = 998.50(11) Å3; for complex II, a = 5.9661(6) Å, b = 5.1414(4) Å, c = 32.672(2) Å, β = 92.395(6)°, V = 1001.33(14) Å3; and for complex III, a = 6.1404(3) Å, b = 5.3476(2) Å, c = 30.5865(12) Å, β = 94.708(4)°, V = 1000.96(7) Å3. The metal atoms (M) of the complexing agents are localized in the crystallographic symmetry centers and have a distorted octahedral environment due to two oxygen atoms of the carboxy groups of two monodentate ligands (L) and four water molecules. The M-O(1w)(H2O) and M-O(2w)(H2O) bond lengths for the indicated complexes are 2.088(3) and 2.118(3), 2.446(3) and 1.971(3), and 2.113(4) and 2.093(3) Å for M = Co2+, Cu2+, and Zn2+, respectively. The crystal structures are formed due to packing of chains built of inter-molecular hydrogen bonds O-H…O.  相似文献

Summary The reactions of manganese(II), cobalt(II) and nickel(II) acetates (1 mole) with antipyrine-4-azo--ethylcyanoacetate (HL1) and antipyrine-4-azo--acetylacetone (HL2) (1 mole) produce complexes of the M(L)2 type. K2PdCl4 (1 mole) reacts with HL1 and HL2 (1 mole) to yield complexes of the general formula PdLCl, the ligands behaving as monobasic tridentates. The electronic spectral and magnetic data show the complexes to be high-spin octahedral, whereas the palladium(II) complexes are diamagnetic square planar. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements and i.r. and electronic spectra as well as magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermal (t.g.a. and d.t.a.) analysis.Nuclear Material Authority.  相似文献

The N-pyrrolidine-N??-(2-chlorobenzoyl)thiourea, HL, and their Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(III) complexes (NiL2, CuL2, and CoL3) have been synthesized and characterized. The thermal decomposition reactions of all the compounds have been investigated by DTA/TG combined systems. The mass spectroscopy technique has been used to identify the products during pyrolytic decomposition. The pyrolytic final products have been analyzed by X-ray powder diffraction method. After comparison of thermogravimetric and mass results of HL, NiL2, CuL2, and CoL3, the decomposition mechanism of these compounds have been suggested. The thermal stability of the Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes according to the thermogravimetric curves follows the sequence: NiL2?<?CuL2. The values of the activation energy, E a, have been obtained using model-free (Kissenger?CAkahira?CSunose, KAS, Flyn?CWall?COzawa, FWO, and Isoconversional) methods for all decomposition stages. The E a versus the extent of conversion, ??, plots show that the values of E a varies as ??. Thirteen kinetic model equations have been tested for selecting correct reaction models. The optimized value of E a and Arrhenius factor, A, have been obtained using the best model equation. The thermodynamic functions (??H*, ??S*, and ??G*) have been calculated using these values.  相似文献

Benzyl(4-methoxyphenyl)dithiophosphinic acid (HL) was obtained as solid and was treated with the NiCl26H2O, CoCl26H2O, ZnCl2, and CdCl2 to prepare its Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) complexes. The nickel complex was further treated with pyridine which led to the formation of octahedral dipyridine derivative. HL was obtained through the addition reaction of the perthiophosphonic acid anhydride Lawesson reagent, (LR), [2,4-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)-1,3,2,4-dithiadiphosphetane-2,4-disulfide], with the corresponding Grignard compound (benzylmagnesium bromide) in diethyl ether medium.

The complexes were all of the stoichiometry of [M(L)2]x, with x = 1 for M = Ni2+ and x = 2 for M = Co2+, Cd2+ and Zn2+. The coordination geometry was square planar in the nickel(II) complex and tetrahedral in the others. Similar to many other nickel(II) complexes, the Ni(L)2 reacts reversibly with pyridine to yield the octahedral complex ({(Py)2Ni(L)2}).

The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis; MS, FTIR, and Raman spectroscopies. The magnetic susceptibilities of the complexes were measured to confirm the hybridization patterns and the geometries. Single-crystal X-ray analyses of Ni(L)2 and [Co(L)2]2 complexes were also carried out to prove the molecular topologies.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of the type M(HXCA)2·nH2O (M = CuII, NiII or CoII; HXCA = 2-hydroxy--4-X-cinnamoyl acetophenone; X = H, Cl, Me or OMe; n = 0 or 2) have been synthesized, and characterized by elemental analysis, i.r., electronic, 1H-n.m.r. and e.s.r. spectroscopies, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The spectral data indicate that the ligand coordinates through both carbonyl and enolic oxygens. The anhydrous CuII complexes are monomeric and square planar, while the NiII and CoII analogues possess polymeric high-spin octahedral structures. The diaquates and dipyridinates of CoII and NiII have monomeric high-spin octahedral geometries.  相似文献

Complexes of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Zn(II) with N,N′-(aldose)2–thiocarbohydrazide (LH2) were synthesized, isolated as solid products and characterized by analytical means as well as by spectral techniques, FTIR, 1H NMR, EPR, UV spectroscopy, and CD. All the metal ions formed M[LH]X complexes. Molar conductance values in DMF indicate non-electrolytic complexes. In DMSO with tetramethylammonium chloride supporting electrolyte, the copper complex displays irreversible cyclic voltammetric responses with E p near ?0.621 and 0.461 V versus Ag/AgCl at scan rate of 0.1 V s?1. Probable structures for the complexes are proposed.  相似文献

Divalent metal complexes of N,N′-bis(4-imidazolymethyl)etylenediamine (EMI) have been studied using potentiometric and spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis and NMR methods) in aqueous 0.1 mol⋅L−1 KCl supporting electrolyte at 25 °C. Final models and overall stability constants for the complexes of Ca(II), Cd(II), Co(II), Cu(II), Mg(II), Mn(II), Ni(II), Pb(II) and Zn(II) have been established by potentiometry for all M(II)–EMI systems, except for Co(II)–EMI. The data revealed that EMI forms ML complexes with all M(II)–EMI systems, which is the dominant species over a wide range of pH except for the Ca(II)–EMI and Mg(II)–EMI systems. Formation of the MnHL complex was also found for Mn(II)–EMI solutions. In addition, the UV-Vis and 1H NMR results allowed us establish the coordination modes for the metal complexes between EMI with Cd(II), Cu(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II).  相似文献

CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and CdII complexes of N,N-bis(2-{[(2-methyl-2-phenyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl]amino}butyl)N′,N′-dihydroxyethanediimidamide (LH2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductivity measurements and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The CoII, NiII and CuII complexes of LH2 were synthesized with 1?:?2 metal ligand stoichiometry. ZnII and CdII complexes with LH2 have a metal ligand ratio of 1?:?1. The reaction of LH2 with CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and CdII chloride give complexes Ni(LH)2, Cu(LH)2, Zn(LH2)(Cl)2, Cd(LH2)(Cl)2, respectively.  相似文献

Complexation of the zinc(II) ion with 2,2-bipyridine (bpy) and 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) has been calorimetrically studied in 4-methylpyridine (4Me-py) containing 0.1 mol dm–3 (n-C4H9)4NClO4 as a constant ionic medium at 25°C. The formation of [ZnL]2+, [ZnL2]2+, and [ZnL3]2+ (L=bpy, phen), and their formation constants, reaction enthalpies and entropies were determined. Our EXAFS (extended X-ray absorption fine structure) measurements showed that the solvation structure of the manganese(II), cobalt(II), and nickel(II) ions is six-coordinate octahedral in 4Me-py and 3-methylpyridine (3Me-py), while that of the zinc(II) ion is four-coordinate tetrahedral in 4Me-py. Since [ZnL3]2+ is expected to have an octahedral structure, a tetrahedral-to-octahedral structural change should take place at a certain step of complexation. The thermodynamic parameters, especially reaction entropies, indicate that the structural change occurs at the formation of [Zn(bpy)2]2+ and [Zn(phen)]2+.  相似文献

Abstract

Urease catalyzes the decomposition of urea into ammonia, which has harmful effects on both human health and fertile soil. Aiming at exploring novel urease inhibitors, a series of hydrazone compounds and their CoIII, CuII, NiII, and ZnII complexes were prepared from 4-methoxy-N'-(pyridin-2-ylmethylene)benzohydrazide (HL). They are [CoClL(NCS)] (1), [CoL2]·Cl·CH3OH·H2O (2), [CuL(NCNCN)]n·nCH3OH (3), [NiL(HL)]·ClO4·CH3OH (4) and [ZnClL(OH2)]·CH3OH (5). The compounds were characterized by physico-chemical methods. Structures of the complexes were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The metal ions in 1, 3, and 5 display square pyramidal coordination and 2 and 4 display octahedral coordination. The inhibitory effects of the compounds on Jack bean urease were evaluated. The results showed that 3 has effective urease inhibitory activity, with IC50 value of (7.3?±?1.0) μmol L?1.  相似文献

Decamethyl-3,3′-bis(dipyrrolylmethene) dihydrobromide H2L · 2HBr (H2L is bis(3,4,7,8,9-pentamethylpyrrol-3-yl)methane), which is the simplest representative of a novel class of oligo(dipyrrolylmethenes) belonging to chromophore chelating nonmacrocyclic ligands, were examined by 1H NMR, IR, and electronic absorption spectroscopy. Complexation reactions of H2L · 2HBr with M(AcO)2 (M = Zn(II), Cu(II), and Co(II)) in DMF at 298.15 K were monitored by electronic absorption spectroscopy and studied by the molar ratio method. The thermodynamic constants K 0 of these reactions were estimated. The d metal ions coordinate H2L to give the binuclear homoleptic complexes [M2L2]. The reactions proceed through the intermediate binuclear heteroleptic complex [M2L(AcO)2] detected by spectroscopic methods. The thermodynamic stabilities of [M2L2] and [M2L(AcO)2] increase when moving from Cu(II) to Zn(II) and Co(II). The probability of formation and stability of [M2L2] containing 3,3′-bis(dipyrrolylmethene) are substantially higher than those of analogous complexes with the 2,2′-isomer (decamethyl-2,2′-biladienea, c). The low K 0 values for the complexation between H2L and Cu(AcO)2 are due to slow oxidation of the biladiene ligand into a bilatriene with participation of Cu2+ ions.  相似文献

Summary. Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), and Cu(II) complexes of the title azodyes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, TGA, DTA, magnetic susceptibility measurements, IR, electronic and ESR spectral studies. The spectral studies suggest an octahedral geometry for Fe(III) and Co(II) complexes but a square planar geometry for Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes. The kinetics of the catalysed oxidation of N,N,N,N-tetramethyl-p-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride (TMPPD) with mononuclear and binuclear copper complexes were studied to check the activity of these copper complexes in oxidizing organic amines. The electrochemical behaviour of the metal complexes was studied using DC polarography and cyclic voltammetry. Antimicrobial activity of the azo compounds and its complexes have been tested against different microorganisms.  相似文献
