Based on the multisource ideal gas model, which do not consider the dynamic mechanism of particles, two formulae are given to describe the transverse mass distributions of protons, kaons and pions produced in central heavy ion collisions at high energies. In the case of neglecting the relativistic effect, our calculated results approximately describe the experimental data, except for pions. By considering the sub samples of the sources, it is found that our calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data in the central Au Au and Pb Pb collisions at high energies.

The final state particle multiplicity distributions in high-energy nucleus-nucleus collisions are described by two different sub-distributions contributed by a single nucleon. The Monte Carlo calculated results from the two sub-distributions and the participant-spectator model are compared and found to be in agreement with the experimental data of Au-Au collisions at s=130 AGeV and Pb-Pb collisions at 158 AGeV.

The azimuthal distributions of final-state particles and fragments produced in high-energy nucleus--nucleus collisions are described by a modified multisource ideal gas model which contains the expansions and movements of the emission sources. The transverse structures of the sources are given in the transverse plane by momentum components p_x and p_y,and described by parameters in the model. The results of the azimuthal distributions, calculated by the Monte Carlo method, are in good agreement with the experimental data in nucleus--nucleus collisions at high energies.

The transverse momentum distributions of final-state particles produced in collisions at high en-ergies are studied by using a two-component Rayleigh-like distribution. This representation is based on Liu's multisource ideal gas model which describes protons and fragments in high energy nucleus-nucleus collisions. The calculated results are in good agreement with the experimental data of Au-Au,Cu-Cu,d-Au,and pp collisions at the relativistic heavy ion collider energies. The experimental particle momentum distributions of p-Be collisions at 6.4,12.3,and 17.5 GeV/c,as well as Au-Au collisions at 1.5 AGeV are well described by a model based on a single Rayleigh-like distribution of particle transverse momenta.

Rapidity-dependent transverse momentum spectra of negatively charged pions measured at different rapidities in proton-proton collisions at the Super Proton Synchrotron(SPS) at various energies within its Beam Energy Scan(BES) program are investigated by using one-and two-component standard distributions where the chemical potential and spin property of particles are implemented. The rapidity spectra are described by a doubleGaussian distribution. At the stage of kinetic freeze-out, the event patterns are structured by the scatter plots in the three-dimensional subspaces of velocity, momentum and rapidity. The results of the studies of the rapidityindependent transverse mass spectra measured at mid-rapidity in proton-proton collisions are compared with those based on the similar transverse mass spectra measured in the most central beryllium-beryllium, argon-scandium and lead-lead collisions from the SPS at its BES energies.

Azimuthal distributions of radial (transverse) momentum, mean radial momentum, and mean radial velocity of final-state particles are suggested for relativistic heavy ion collisions. Using the AMPT transport model with string melting, the distributions of Au+Au collisions at 200 GeV are presented and studied. It is demonstrated that the distribution of total radial momentum is more sensitive to the anisotropic expansion, as the anisotropies of final-state particles and their associated transverse momentums are both counted in the measurement. The mean radial velocity distribution is compared with the radial flow velocity. The thermal motion contributes an isotropic constant to the mean radial velocity.

The transverse mass spectra of protons, pions, kaons, Lambda and Antilambda produced in central nucleus-nucleus collisions at high energies are described by using one-temperature and two-temperature emission pictures. The calculated results are compared and found to be in good agreement with the experimental data of the E895, E866 and E917 Collaborations measured in central Au-Au collisions at the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) energies and the NA49 Collaboration measured in central Pb-Pb collisions at the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) energies. It is demonstrated that the transverse mass distributions of protons, kaons, Lambda and Antilambda, except for Lambda hyperons produced in central Pb-Pb collisions at 158 A GeV, can be described by using the one-temperature emission picture, and for pions, we need to use the two-temperature emission picture.

Two complementary approaches are used in studying the nuclear shadowing effect in heavy-ion collisions at SIS/GSI beam energies within a hadronic transport model. By analysing simultaneously the average transverse momentum of nucleons and pions in the reaction plane as a function of rapidity, the shadowing effect is revealed as an anticorrelation of the average transverse momentum distributions of nucleons and pions in semicentral and peripheral collisions. While by studying the azimuthal angle distribution of pions with respect to the reaction plane, the shadowing effect appears as an azimuthal anisotropy with a preferential emission of pions perpendicular to the reaction plane. The dependence of the nuclear shadowing effect on the impact parameter and the beam energy is also studied.

Antikaon production in heavy-ion collisions at energies available from the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS) at the Brookhaven National Laboratory is studied in a relativistic transport (ART) model. We include contributions from the baryon-baryon, meson-baryon, and meson-meson interactions. The final-state interaction of antikaons via both absorption and elastic scattering by nucleons and pions are also considered. To compare with presently available or future experimental data, we have calculated the antikaon rapidity and transverse momentum distributions as well as its collective flow. Medium effects on these observables due to mean field potentials have also been investigated. It is found that both the ratio of antikaon transverse momentum spectrum to that of kaon and their transverse flow are most sensitive to the in-medium properties of kaons and antikaons.

In the framework of percolation of color sources, the transverse momentum distribution in heavy ion and p + p collisions at all centralities and energies are shown to follow a universal behavior. The width of the distribution depends on the fluctuations of the number of color sources per cluster. At low densities, there are only independent single color sources, no fluctuations occur and the distribution is described by a single exponential. At very high densities, only one cluster of many color sources appears and therefore there are not fluctuations either and the hardness of the distribution is suppressed. The Cronin effect in this framework is due to a maximum of the fluctuations which decreases as the density increases. We obtain a good agreement with experimental data including the low p T behavior and the spectra for different particles. We show that the transverse momentum and multiplicity distributions are related to each other in a defined way. This point is satisfied by the experimental data on p + p collisions at different energies.

The large transverse momentum distribution of lepton pairs produced in heavy-ion collisions has been studied, making use of the perturbative QCD. The contribution of the two parton production process into lepton pairs in Au Au collisions is calculated. Lepton pair production with the direct single photon process and the resolved single photon process are introduced. We believe that the photon processes are significant. The complete processes at large transverse momentum are included, and moreover, the effect of shadowing and isospin of nucleus are also considered in heavy ion collisions. Dilepton signals to regard the background of QGP have a good correction.

The transverse momentum distribution and the transverse mass distribution of charged hadrons produced in nucleus nucleus collisions at high energies are described by using a two-cylinder model. The results calculated by the model are compared and found to be in agreement with the experimental data of the STAR and E895 Collaborations, measured in A~Au collisions at the relativistic heavy ion collider (RHIC) and alternating-gradient synchrotron (AGS) energies, respectively. In the energy range concerned, the excitation degree of emission source close to the central axis of cylinders increases obviously with the collision centrality and incident energy increasing, but it does not show any obvious change with the increase of the (pseudo)rapidity in central collisions. The excitation degree of emission source close to the side-surface of cylinders does not show any obvious change with the collision centrality, the (pseudo)rapidity, and the incident energy increasing.

The transverse momentum distributions of final-state particles produced in collisions at energies available at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are studied by using the two-Boltzmann distribution and Tsallis statistics. Experimental distributions described by the two-Boltzmann distribution can be described by the Tsallis statistics. The two-temperature emission described by the two-Boltzmann distribution reflects temperature fluctuation of interacting system. The Tsallis statistics can describe the temperature fluctuation and the degree of non-equilibrium. The results calculated by the two-Boltzmann distribution and the Tsallis statistics are in agreement with the experimental data available at the LHC energies. In some cases, the two-Boltzmann distribution degenerates to (single) Boltzmann distribution.
