The reaction of the acetylene RC triple bond CH (R = Ph, CH(2)SiMe(3)) with an excess of AlH(3).NMe(3) in boiling toluene leads to the carbaalane [(AlH)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)R)(6)] (R = Ph 1, CH(2)SiMe(3) 2) in good yield. Treatment of 2 with BCl(3) under varying conditions gives the chlorinated products [(AlCl)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)CH(2)SiMe(3))(6)] 3 and [(AlCl)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)CH(2)SiMe(2)Cl)(6)] 4, respectively. The latter clearly demonstrates that the cluster can be stepwise functionalized within the inner and outer sphere. The X-ray single-crystal structures of 1, 2, and 4 have been determined. All compounds have in common that the central core consists of a cluster having eight aluminum and six carbon atoms. The bonding properties in this cluster are described as a new manifestation of three-dimensional surface aromaticity. Each Al(4)C fragment of the cube is formed by four bonds with three electron pairs, thus leading to a strong delocalization of the electrons. A phenomenological modeling using a three-dimensional Hückel scheme with fitted parameters to reproduce the energies from ab initio calculations revealed that the orbital scheme localized at one Al(4)C fragment possesses an orbital sextet with a large HOMO-LUMO gap. This is in line with the criteria of aromaticity. The idea of aromaticity was sustained also by qualitative valence bond reasons enumerating the different resonance structures by means of graph theoretical methods.  相似文献

The reactivity of two sterically bulky amidines, ArNC(R)N(H)Ar (Ar=2,6-diisopropylphenyl; R=H (HFiso); tBu, (HPiso)) towards LiMH4, M=Al or Ga, [AlH3(NMe3)], and [GaH3(quin)] (quin=quinuclidine) has been examined. This has given rise to a variety of very thermally stable aluminum and gallium hydride complexes. The structural motif adopted by the prepared complexes has been found to be dependent upon both the amidinate ligand and the metal involved. The 1:1 reaction of HFiso with LiAlH4 yielded dimeric [{AlH3(mu-Fiso)Li(OEt2)}2]. Amidine HFiso reacts in a 1:1 ratio with [AlH3(NMe3)] to give the unusual hydride-bridging dimeric complex, [{AlH2(Fiso)}2], in which the Fiso- ligand is nonchelating. The equivalent reaction with the bulkier amidine, HPiso, yielded a related hydride-bridging complex, [{AlH2(Piso)}2], in which the Piso- ligand is chelating. In contrast, the treatment of [GaH3(quin)] with one equivalent of HFiso afforded the four-coordinate complex [GaH2(quin)(Fiso)], in which the Fiso- ligand acts as a localized monodentate amido-imine ligand. The 2:1 reactions of HFiso with [AlH3(NMe3)] or [GaH3(quin)] gave the monomeric complexes [MH(Fiso)2], which are thermally robust and which exhibit chelating amidinate ligands. In contrast, HPiso did not give 2:1 complexes in its reactions with either of the Group 13 trihydride precursors. For sake of comparison, the reactions of [AlH3(NMe3)] and [GaH3(quin)] with the bulky carbodiimide ArN=C=NAr and the thiourea Ar(H)NC(=S)N(H)Ar were examined. These last reactions afforded the five-coordinate thioureido complexes, [MH{N(Ar)C[N(H)(Ar)]S}2], M=Al or Ga.  相似文献

The treatment of LiAlH(4) with 2, 3, or 4 equiv of the 3,5-disubstituted pyrazoles Ph(2)pzH or iPr(2)pzH afforded [Li(THF)(2)][AlH(2)(Ph(2)pz)(2)] (97%), [Li(THF)][AlH(Ph(2)pz)(3)] (96%), [Li(THF)(4)][Al(Ph(2)pz)(4)] (95%), and [Li(THF)][AlH(iPr(2)pz)(3)] (89%). The treatment of ZnCl(2) with [Li(THF)][AlH(Ph(2)pz)(3)] afforded Zn(AlH(Ph(2)Pz)(3))H (70%). X-ray crystal structures of these complexes demonstrated κ(2) or κ(3) coordination of the aluminum-based ligands to the Li or Zn ions. The treatment of [Li(THF)][AlH(Ph(2)pz)(3)] with MgBr(2) or CoCl(2) in THF/Et(2)O solutions, by contrast, afforded the pyrazolate transfer products Mg(2)Br(2)(Ph(2)pz)(2)(THF)(3)·2THF (25%) and Co(2)Cl(2)(Ph(2)pz)(2)(THF)(3)·THF (23%) as colorless and blue crystalline solids, respectively. An analogous treatment of [Li(THF)][AlH(Ph(2)pz)(3)] with MCl(2) (M = Mn, Fe, Ni, Cu) afforded metal powders and H(2), illustrating hydride transfer from Al to M as a competing reaction path.  相似文献

The reactions of t-BuCCLi with a mixture of AlH(3).NMe(3) and ClAlH(2).NMe(3) in boiling toluene with the addition of [t-BuCH(2)(Bzl)NMe(2)]Cl, or a bulky beta-diketimine instead, and [n-Bu(4)N]Cl led to the carbaalanates [H(2)Al(NMe(3))(2)](2)[(AlH)(8)(CCH(2)t-Bu)(6)], 3, and [n-Bu(4)N](2)[(AlH)(8)(CCH(2)t-Bu)(6)], 4, respectively. The reaction of Me(3)N.Al(CCt-Bu)(3) 5 and AlH(3).NMe(3) in boiling toluene yielded [H(n-Bu)Al(NMe(3))(2)][(AlH)(7)(AlNMe(3))(CCH(2)t-Bu)(6)], 6, in trace amounts. The single-crystal X-ray structures of 3 and 6 are reported. The compounds 3, 4, and 6 consist of well-separated ion pairs introducing carbaalanates as weakly coordinating anions and stabilizing aluminum hydride cations.  相似文献

NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)] 1 and NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] 2 were obtained by the metathesis reaction of NO[SbF(6)] and the corresponding Li[Al(OR)(4)] salts in liquid sulfur dioxide solution in ca 40% (1) and 85% (2) isolated yield. 1 and 2, as well as Li[NO(3)] and N(2)O, were also given by the reaction of an excess of mixture of (90 mol%) NO, (10 mol%) NO(2) with Li[Al(OR)(4)] followed by extraction with SO(2). The unfavourable disproportionation reaction of 2NO(2)(g) to [NO](+)(g) and [NO(3)](-)(g)[DeltaH degrees = +616.2 kJ mol(-1)] is more than compensated by the disproportionation energy of 3NO(g) to N(2)O(g) and NO(2)(g)[DeltaH degrees =-155.4 kJ mol(-1)] and the lattice energy of Li[NO(3)](s)[U(POT)= 862 kJ mol(-1)]. Evidence is presented that the reaction proceeds via a complex of [Li](+) with NO, NO(2)(or their dimers) and N(2)O. NO(2) and Li[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] gave [NO(3)(NO)(3)][Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](2), NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] and (NO(2))[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] products. The aluminium complex [Li[AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)]](2) 3 was prepared by the thermal decomposition of Li[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)]. Compounds 1 and 3 were characterized by single crystal X-ray structural analyses, 1-3 by elemental analyses, NMR, IR, Raman and mass spectra. Solid 1 contains [Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and [NO](+) weakly linked via donor acceptor interactions, while in the SO(2) solution there is an equilibrium between the associated [NO](+)[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and separated solvated ions. Solid 2 contains essentially ionic [NO](+) and [Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](-). Complex 3 consists of two [Li[AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)]] units linked via fluorine lithium contacts. Compound 1 is unstable in the SO(2) solution and decomposes to yield [AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)](-), [(PhC(CF(3))(2)O)(3)Al(mu-F)Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)](-) anions as well as (NO)C(6)H(4)C(CF(3))(2)OH, while compound 2 is stable in liquid SO(2). The [small nu](NO(+)) in 1 and [NO](+)(toluene)[SbCl(6)] are similar, implying similar basicities of [Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and toluene.  相似文献

The solvothermal reaction of (N(C(4)H(9))(4))(2)[Re(2)Cl(8)] with trifluoroacetic acid and acetic anhydride leads to the new rhenium trifluoroacetate dimer N(C(4)H(9))(4)[Re(2)(OOCCF(3))Cl(6)] (1) and to the rhenium carbonyl dimer Re(2)(mu(2)-Cl)(2)(CO)(8) as the rhenium-reduced byproduct. The reaction of the precursor complex, N(C(4)H(9))(4)[Re(2)(OOCCF(3))Cl(6)] (1), with the organometallic carboxylic acid (CO)(6)Co(2)HCCCOOH leads to the cluster of clusters compound Re(2)(OOCCCHCo(2)(CO)(6))(4)Cl(2) (2), which has the dimer structure of Re(2)(OOCR)(4)Cl(2). Cyclic voltammetric measurements show that Re(2)(OOCCCHCo(2)(CO)(6))(4)Cl(2) (2) has one reduction centered on the dirhenium core and a reduction centered on the cobalt atoms. DFT calculations have been used to rationalize the observed displacements of the voltammetric signals in Re(2)(OOCCCHCo(2)(CO)(6))(4)Cl(2) (2) compared to the parent ligand (CO)(6)Co(2)HCCCOOH and rhenium pivalate.  相似文献

The carbaalane halogen derivatives [(AlX)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)CH(2)SiMe(3))(6)] (X = F (9), Cl (7), Br (10), I (11)) were prepared in toluene from [(AlH)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)CH(2)SiMe(3))(6)] (6) and BF(3).OEt(2), BX(3) (X = Br, I), Me(3)SnF, and Me(3)SiX (X = Cl, Br, I), respectively. A partially halogenated product [(AlH)(2)(AlX)(4)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)CH(2)SiMe(3))(6)] (12) (X = Cl (approximately 40%), Br (approximately 60%)) was obtained from 5 and impure BBr(3). [(AlH)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)Ph)(6)] (5) was converted to [(AlX)(6)(AlNMe(3))(2)(CCH(2)Ph)(6)] (X = F (13), Cl (14), Br (15), I (16)) using BF(3).OEt(2) and Me(3)SiX (X = Cl, Br, I), respectively. The X-ray single-crystal structures of 11.C(6)H(6), 12.3C(7)H(8), 13.6C(7)H(8), and 15.4C(7)H(8) were determined. Compounds 7 and 9-11 are soluble in benzene/toluene and could be well characterized by NMR spectroscopy and MS (EI) spectrometry. The results demonstrate the facile substitution of the hydridic hydrogen atoms in 5 and 6 by the halides with different reagents.  相似文献

We use the density functional theory and x-ray and neutron diffraction to investigate the crystal structures and reaction mechanisms of intermediate phases likely to be involved in decomposition of the potential hydrogen storage material LiAlH(4). First, we explore the decomposition mechanism of monoclinic LiAlH(4) into monoclinic Li(3)AlH(6) plus face-centered cubic (fcc) Al and hydrogen. We find that this reaction proceeds through a five-step mechanism with an overall activation barrier of 36.9 kcal/mol. The simulated x ray and neutron diffraction patterns from LiAlH(4) and Li(3)AlH(6) agree well with experimental data. On the other hand, the alternative decomposition of LiAlH(4) into LiAlH(2) plus H(2) is predicted to be unstable with respect to that through Li(3)AlH(6). Next, we investigate thermal decomposition of Li(3)AlH(6) into fcc LiH plus Al and hydrogen, occurring through a four-step mechanism with an activation barrier of 17.4 kcal/mol for the rate-limiting step. In the first and second steps, two Li atoms accept two H atoms from AlH(6) to form the stable Li-H-Li-H complex. Then, two sequential H(2) desorption steps are followed, which eventually result in fcc LiH plus fcc Al and hydrogen: Li(3)AlH(6)(monoclinic)-->3 LiH(fcc)+Al(fcc)+3/2 H(2) is endothermic by 15.8 kcal/mol. The dissociation energy of 15.8 kcal/mol per formula unit compares to experimental enthalpies in the range of 9.8-23.9 kcal/mol. Finally, we explore thermal decomposition of LiH, LiH(s)+Al(s)-->LiAl(s)+12H(2)(g) is endothermic by 4.6 kcal/mol. The B32 phase, which we predict as the lowest energy structure for LiAl, shows covalent bond characters in the Al-Al direction. Additionally, we determine that transformation of LiH plus Al into LiAlH is unstable with respect to transformation of LiH through LiAl.  相似文献

The reactions of the triphosphabenzene, 1,3,5-P3C3But3, with LiMH4, M = Al or Ga, lead to the triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanediyl metallate complexes, [[[Li(OEt2)][MH2(P3C3But3H2)]]2], which give exo- and endo-isomers of a triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane, P3C3But3H4 upon quenching. The related reaction of [AlH3(NMe3)] with 1,3,5-P3C3But3 affords three identifiable products, viz. a triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexenyl complex, [AlH2(P3C3But3H)(NMe3)], and two triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexanediyl complexes, [AlH(P3C3But3H2)(NMe3)] and [Al2H4(P3C3But3H2)(NMe3)]. In contrast, the reactions of 1,3,5-P3C3But3 with either [GaH3(quin)], quin = quinuclidine, or Me3SnH lead only to the triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexenyl complexes, [GaH2(P3C3But3H)(quin)] and [Me3Sn(P3C3But3H)]. Quenching of the former affords a triphosphabicyclo[3.1.0]hexene, P3C3But3H2, while quenching the latter gives its triphosphacyclohexa-1,4-diene valence isomer. Treatment of 1,3,5-P3C3But3 with "GaI" yields a GaI3 complex of the triphosphahexa-1,4-diene, [GaI3(P3C3But3H2)], whilst treatment with the anionic Ga(I) heterocycle, [:Ga[N(Ar)C(H)]2]-, Ar = C6H3Pri2-2,6, affords the known diphospholyl anion, [1,3-P2C3But3]- via a P-abstraction from the triphosphabenzene. Finally, reaction of the 1,3,5-triphosphacyclohexane, [P(OEt)C(H)(But)]3, with thionyl chloride yields the unusual lambda5, lambda5, lambda5-1,3,5-triphosphacyclohexane, [P(O)(Cl)C(H)(But)]2[P(OEt)(S)C(H)(But)]. Suggestions as to the mechanisms of a number of these reduction reactions are made and the crystal structures of seven compounds are reported.  相似文献

Tetrahedral FeCl[N(SiMe(3))(2)](2)(THF) (2), prepared from FeCl(3) and 2 equiv of Na[N(SiMe(3))(2)] in THF, is a useful ferric starting material for the synthesis of weak-field iron-imide (Fe-NR) clusters. Protonolysis of 2 with aniline yields azobenzene and [Fe(2)(mu-Cl)(3)(THF)(6)](2)[Fe(3)(mu-NPh)(4)Cl(4)] (3), a salt composed of two diferrous monocations and a trinuclear dianion with a formal 2 Fe(III)/1 Fe(IV) oxidation state. Treatment of 2 with LiCl, which gives the adduct [FeCl(2)(N(SiMe(3))(2))(2)](-) (isolated as the [Li(TMEDA)(2)](+) salt), suppresses arylamine oxidation/iron reduction chemistry during protonolysis. Thus, under appropriate conditions, the reaction of 1:1 2/LiCl with arylamine provides a practical route to the following Fe-NR clusters: [Li(2)(THF)(7)][Fe(3)(mu-NPh)(4)Cl(4)] (5a), which contains the same Fe-NR cluster found in 3; [Li(THF)(4)](2)[Fe(3)(mu-N-p-Tol)(4)Cl(4)] (5b); [Li(DME)(3)](2)[Fe(2)(mu-NPh)(2)Cl(4)] (6a); [Li(2)(THF)(7)][Fe(2)(mu-NMes)(2)Cl(4)] (6c). [Li(DME)(3)](2)[Fe(4)(mu(3)-NPh)(4)Cl(4)] (7), a trace product in the synthesis of 5a and 6a, forms readily as the sole Fe-NR complex upon reduction of these lower nuclearity clusters. Products were characterized by X-ray crystallographic analysis, by electronic absorption, (1)H NMR, and M?ssbauer spectroscopies, and by cyclic voltammetry. The structures of the Fe-NR complexes derive from tetrahedral iron centers, edge-fused by imide bridges into linear arrays (5a,b; 6a,c) or the condensed heterocubane geometry (7), and are homologous to fundamental iron-sulfur (Fe-S) cluster motifs. The analogy to Fe-S chemistry also encompasses parallels between Fe-mediated redox transformations of nitrogen and sulfur ligands and reductive core conversions of linear dinuclear and trinuclear clusters to heterocubane species and is reinforced by other recent examples of iron- and cobalt-imide cluster chemistry. The correspondence of nitrogen and sulfur chemistry at iron is intriguing in the context of speculative Fe-mediated mechanisms for biological nitrogen fixation.  相似文献

Five salts, [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)](BPh(4)).CH(3)OH, [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)](PF(6)).CH(2)Cl(2), [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Cl.4H(2)O, [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Br.3.5H(2)O, and [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Cl.0.1H(2)O, have been crystallized and examined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. While the internal structure of the cation is similar in all salts, the interactions between cations vary in the different salts. Yellow [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)](BPh(4)).CH(3)OH and red [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)](PF(6)) form face-to-face dimers with Pt...Pt separations of 3.6617(6) and 3.340(2) A, respectively. In the latter, hydrogen bonding of the chelating ligand to adjacent anions facilitates the close approach of pairs of cations. The salts [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Cl.4H(2)O, [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Br.3.5H(2)O, and [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Cl.0.1H(2)O form columnar structures with Pt...Pt separations that range from 3.2514(5) to 3.5643(6) A. The water molecules and anions surround these columns and form bridges between neighboring columns. The electronic spectra of aqueous solutions of [(C(4)H(9)N(4))Pt(II)(CNCH(3))(2)]Cl.4H(2)O show spectral changes upon increasing concentrations of the platinum complex that are indicative of the formation of a dimer in solution with an equilibrium constant for dimerization of 23(1).  相似文献

Condensation of Ph(2)PH and paraformaldehyde with 2-amino-7-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine gave the new flexible tridentate ligand 2-[N-(diphenylphosphino)methyl]amino-7-methyl-1,8-naphthyridine (L). Reaction of L with [Cu(CH(3)CN)(4)]BF(4) and/or different ancillary ligands in dichloromethane afforded N,P chelating or bridging luminescent complexes [(L)(2)Cu(2)](BF(4))(2), [(micro-L)(2)Cu(2)(PPh(3))(2)](BF(4))(2) and [(L)Cu(CNN)]BF(4) (CNN = 6-phenyl-2,2'-bipyridine), respectively. Complexes [(L)(2)Pt]Cl(2), [(L)(2)Pt](ClO(4))(2) and [(L)Pt(CNC)]Cl (CNC = 2,6-biphenylpyridine) were obtained from the reactions of Pt(SMe(2))(2)Cl(2) or (CNC)Pt(DMSO)Cl with L. The crystal structures and photophysical properties of the complexes are presented.  相似文献

The reactions of UO(3) with acidic aqueous chloride solutions resulted in the formation of two new polymeric U(VI) compounds. Single crystals of Cs(2)[(UO(2))(3)Cl(2)(IO(3))(OH)O(2)].2H(2)O (1) were formed under hydrothermal conditions with HIO(3) and CsCl, and Li(H(2)O)(2)[(UO(2))(2)Cl(3)(O)(H(2)O)] (2) was obtained from acidic LiCl solutions under ambient temperature and pressure. Both compounds contain pentagonal bipyramidal coordination of the uranyl dication, UO(2)(2+). The structure of 1 consists of infinite [(UO(2))(3)Cl(2)(IO(3))(mu(3)-OH)(mu(3)-O)(2)](2-) ribbons that run down the b axis that are formed from edge-sharing pentagonal bipyramidal [UO(6)Cl] and [UO(5)Cl(2)] units. The Cs(+) cations separate the chains from one another and form long ionic contacts with terminal oxygen atoms from iodate ligands, uranyl oxygen atoms, water molecules, and chloride anions. In 2, edge-sharing [UO(3)Cl(4)] and [UO(5)Cl(2)] units build up tetranuclear [(UO(2))(4)(mu-Cl)(6)(mu(3)-O)(2)(H(2)O)(2)](2-) anions that are bridged by chloride to form one-dimensional chains. These chains are connected in a complex network of hydrogen bonds and interactions of uranyl oxygen atoms with Li(+) cations. Compound 7 is the first heterocyclic carbene substituted ethynyl derivative. Aluminum and gallium compounds with three terminal ethynyl groups Al(C triplebond CPh)(3).NMe(3) (10) and Ga(C triplebond CPh)(3).NMe(3) (11) have been prepared by the reaction of AlH(3).NMe(3) or GaH(3).NMe(3) with three equivalents of phenylethyne. All the above-mentioned compounds have been structurally studied. In compound 1 the lithium ion is coordinated to the three terminal ethynyl groups, whereas in compounds 2 and 3 the lithium is coordinated to the solvent (dioxane). A new organically templated layered uranium phosphate fluoride, [(CH(3))(2)NH(CH(2))(2)NH(CH(3))(2)][(UO(2))(2)F(2)(HPO(4))(2)] has been synthesized by hydrothermal reaction of UO(3), H(3)PO(4), HF, and (CH(3))(2)NCH(2)CH(2)N(CH(3))(2) at 140 degrees C. [(CH(3))(2)NH(CH(2))(2)NH(CH(3))(2)][(UO(2))(2)F(2)(HPO(4))(2)] has a layered crystal structure consisting of seven-coordinated UO(5)F(2) pentagonal bipyramids and four-coordinated HPO(4) tetrahedra. Each anionic layer containing three-, four-, and six-membered rings is separated by [(CH(3))(2)NH(CH(2))(2)NH(CH(3))(2)](2+) cations. The [(CH(3))(2)NH(CH(2))(2)NH(CH(3))(2)](2+) cations may be readily exchanged with the M(2+) ions (M = Ba, Sr and Ca) in water to give high crystalline AE(UO(2))(2)(PO(4))(2).6H(2)O (AE = Ca, Sr, Ba).  相似文献

New quaternary lithium - d(0) cation - lone-pair oxides, Li(6)(Mo(2)O(5))(3)(SeO(3))(6) (Pmn2(1)) and Li(2)(MO(3))(TeO(3)) (P2(1)/n) (M = Mo(6+) or W(6+)), have been synthesized and characterized. The former is noncentrosymmetric and polar, whereas the latter is centrosymmetric. Their crystal structures exhibit zigzag anionic layers composed of distorted MO(6) and asymmetric AO(3) (A = Se(4+) or Te(4+)) polyhedra. The anionic layers stack along a 2-fold screw axis and are separated by Li(+) cations. Powder SHG measurements on Li(6)(Mo(2)O(5))(3)(SeO(3))(6) using 1064 nm radiation reveal a SHG efficiency of approximately 170 × α-SiO(2). Particle size vs SHG efficiency measurements indicate Li(6)(Mo(2)O(5))(3)(SeO(3))(6) is type 1 nonphase-matchable. Converse piezoelectric measurements result in a d(33) value of ~28 pm/V and pyroelectric measurements reveal a pyroelectric coefficient of -0.43 μC/m(2)K at 50 °C for Li(6)(Mo(2)O(5))(3)(SeO(3))(6). Frequency-dependent polarization measurements confirm that Li(6)(Mo(2)O(5))(3)(SeO(3))(6) is nonferroelectric, i.e., the macroscopic polarization is not reversible, or 'switchable'. Infrared, UV-vis, thermogravimetric, and differential thermal analysis measurements and electron localization function calculations were also done for all materials.  相似文献

Our explorations of the reactivity of Fe/Mo/S clusters of some relevance to the FeMoco nitrogenase have led to new double-fused cubane clusters with the Mo2Fe6S8 core as derivatives of the known (Cl4-cat)2Mo2Fe6S8(PPr3)6 (I) fused double cubane. The new clusters have been obtained by substitution reactions of the PPr3 ligands with Cl-, BH4-, and N3-. By careful control of the conditions of these reactions, the clusters [(Cl4-cat)(PPr3)MoFe3S4(BH4)2]2(Bu4N)4 (II), [(Cl4-cat)(PPr3)MoFe3S4(PPr3)(BH4)]2(Bu4N)2 (III), [(Cl4-cat)(PPr3)MoFe3S4(N3)2]2(Bu4N)4 (IV), [(Cl4-cat)(PPr3)MoFe3S4(PPr3)(N3)]2(Bu4N)2 (V), and [(Cl4-cat)(PPr3)MoFe3S4Cl2]2(Et4N)4 (VI) have been obtained and structurally characterized. A study of their electrochemistry shows that the reduction potentials for the derivatives of I are shifted to more positive values than those of I, suggesting a stabilization of the reduced clusters by the anionic ligands BH4- and N3-. Using 1H NMR spectroscopy, we have explored the lability of the BH4- ligand in II in coordinating solvents and its hydridic character, which is apparent in its reactivity toward proton sources such as MeOH or PhOH.  相似文献

We analyzed the molecular orbitals for a Al(4)Cl(4)(NH(3))(4) compound, which is a model of the (AlBr x NEt(3))(4) crystal structure recently reported by Schn?ckel and co-workers. We found that even though Al(4)Cl(4)(NH(3))(4) contains a planar square Al(4) cluster it is not an aromatic compound. However, the addition of two sodium atoms to Al(4)Cl(4)(NH(3))(4) yields a new Na(2)Al(4)Cl(4)(NH(3))(4) compound which is a pi-aromatic molecule. We hope that prediction of this new compound will facilitate a synthesis of aluminum aromatic solids.  相似文献
