In this paper we consider the existence and uniqueness of positive periodic solution for the periodic equation y′(t)=−a(t)y(t)+λh(t)f(y(tτ(t))). By the eigenvalue problems of completely continuous operators and theory of α-concave or −α-convex operators and its eigenvalue, we establish some criteria for existence and uniqueness of positive periodic solution of above functional differential equations with parameter. In particular, the unique solution yλ(t) of the above equation depends continuously on the parameter λ. Finally, as an application, we obtain sufficient condition for the existence of positive periodic solutions of the Nicholson blowflies model.  相似文献

The stability of the functional equation F(x+y)−G(xy)=2H(x)K(y) over the domain of an abelian group G and the range of the complex field is investigated. Several related results extending a number of previously known ones, such as the ones dealing with the sine functional equation, the d’Alembert functional equation and Wilson functional equation, are derived as direct consequences. Applying the main result to the setting of Banach algebra, it is shown that if their operators satisfy a functional inequality and are subject to certain natural requirements, then these operators must be solutions of some well-known functional equations.  相似文献

For the nth order differential equation, y(n)=f(x,y,y,…,y(n−1)), we consider uniqueness implies existence results for solutions satisfying certain nonlocal (k+2)-point boundary conditions, 1?k?n−1. Let M and L be (nonlinear) operators in a reflexive Banach space B for which Rg(M + L) = B and ¦(Mx ? My) + α(Lx ? Ly)¦ ? | mx ? My | for all α > 0 and pairs x, y in D(M) ∩ D(L). Then there is a unique solution of the Cauchy problem (Mu(t))′ + Lu(t) = 0, Mu(0) = v0. When M and L are realizations of elliptic partial differential operators in space variables, this gives existence and uniqueness of generalized solutions of boundary value problems for nonlinear partial differential equations of mixed parabolic-Sobolev type.  相似文献

We study an existence-uniqueness theorem for a system of nonlinear Volterra-type integral equations with polar kernel and singularities. To do so, we use a method of regularization of fractional derivatives with a delta sequence to avoid singularities over diagonal {y|x−y=0}{y|xy=0}. The other singularities we regularize with delta sequences with different growth. As a framework, we use Colombeau special algebra.  相似文献

In this paper, we show existence, uniqueness and exact asymptotic behavior of solutions near the boundary to a class of semilinear elliptic equations −Δu=λg(u)−b(x)f(u) in Ω, where λ is a real number, b(x)>0 in Ω and vanishes on ∂Ω. The special feature is to consider g(u) and f(u) to be regularly varying at infinity and b(x) is vanishing on the boundary with a more general rate function. The vanishing rate of b(x) determines the exact blow-up rate of the large solutions. And the exact blow-up rate allows us to obtain the uniqueness result.  相似文献

We study the existence of well-known singularly perturbed BVP problem ε2y″=1−y2−2b(1−x2)y, y(−1)=y(1)=0 introduced by G.F. Carrier. In particular, we show that there exist multi-spike solutions, and the locations of interior spikes are clustered near x=0 and are separated by an amount of O(ε|lnε|), while only single spikes are allowed near the boundaries x=±1.  相似文献

We investigate entire radial solutions of the semilinear biharmonic equation Δ2u=λexp(u) in Rn, n?5, λ>0 being a parameter. We show that singular radial solutions of the corresponding Dirichlet problem in the unit ball cannot be extended as solutions of the equation to the whole of Rn. In particular, they cannot be expanded as power series in the natural variable s=log|x|. Next, we prove the existence of infinitely many entire regular radial solutions. They all diverge to −∞ as |x|→∞ and we specify their asymptotic behaviour. As in the case with power-type nonlinearities [F. Gazzola, H.-Ch. Grunau, Radial entire solutions for supercritical biharmonic equations, Math. Ann. 334 (2006) 905-936], the entire singular solution x?−4log|x| plays the role of a separatrix in the bifurcation picture. Finally, a technique for the computer assisted study of a broad class of equations is developed. It is applied to obtain a computer assisted proof of the underlying dynamical behaviour for the bifurcation diagram of a corresponding autonomous system of ODEs, in the case n=5.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with α-convex operators on ordered Banach spaces. A surjection theorem for 1-convex operators in order intervals is established by means of the properties of cone and monotone iterative technique. It is assumed that 1-convex operator A is increasing and satisfies AyAx?M(yx) for θ?x?y?v0, where θ denotes the zero element and v0 is a constant. Moreover, we prove a fixed point theorem for -convex operators by using fixed point theorem of cone expansion. In the end, we apply the fixed point theorem to certain integral equations.  相似文献

This paper deals with the Cauchy problem for a higher order shallow water equation yt+auxy+buyx=0, where and k=2. The local well-posedness of solutions for the Cauchy problem in Sobolev space Hs(R) with s?7/2 is obtained. Under some assumptions, the existence and uniqueness of the global solutions to the equation are shown, and conditions that lead to the development of singularities in finite time for the solutions are also acquired. This paper is concerned with maximization and minimization problems of the energy integral associated to p-Laplace equations depending on functions that belong to a class of rearrangements. We prove existence and uniqueness results, and present some features of optimal solutions. The radial case is discussed in detail. In this paper we study the existence and uniqueness of L p (p>1) solutions for one-dimensional backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs in short) whose generator g and terminal condition ?? satisfy $\mathbf{E}[|\xi|^{p}+(\int_{0}^{T} |g(t,0,0)|\, \mathrm {d}t)^{p}]<+\infty$ . We get an existence result under the condition that g is continuous and of linear growth in (y,z). And, we also prove an existence and uniqueness result where g satisfies the Osgood condition in y and is uniformly continuous in z. Particularly, a comparison theorem for L p (p>1) solutions of BSDEs is obtained in this paper.  相似文献

We study the nonlinear elliptic problem −Δu=ρ(x)f(u) in RN (N?3), lim|x|→∞u(x)=?, where ??0 is a real number, ρ(x) is a nonnegative potential belonging to a certain Kato class, and f(u) has a sublinear growth. We distinguish the cases ?>0 and ?=0 and prove existence and uniqueness results if the potential ρ(x) decays fast enough at infinity. Our arguments rely on comparison techniques and on a theorem of Brezis and Oswald for sublinear elliptic equations.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the existence of positive solutions for fourth order singular p-Laplacian differential equations with integral boundary conditions and non-monotonic function terms. Firstly, we establish a comparison theorem, then we define a partial ordering in E 0 and construct lower and upper solutions to give a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of C 2[0,1] as well as pseudo-C 3[0,1] positive solutions. Our nonlinearity f(t,x,y) may be singular at x=0, y=0, t=0 and t=1. Finally, we give some the dual results for the other cases of fourth order singular integral boundary value problems and an example to demonstrate the corresponding main results.  相似文献
