This paper considers invariant (1, 2)-symplectic almost Hermitian structures on the maximal flag manifod associated to a
complex semi-simple Lie group G. The concept of cone-free invariant almost complex structure is introduced. It involves the rank-three subgroups of G, and generalizes the cone-free property for tournaments related to 𝕊l (n,ℂ) case. It is proved that the cone-free property is necessary for an invariant almost-complex structure to take part in

We determine all residually weakly primitive flag-transitive geometries for the groups PSL(2,11) and PGL(2,11). For the first of these we prove the existence by simple constructions while uniqueness, namely the fact that the lists are complete, relies on MAGMA programs. A central role is played by the subgroups Alt(5) in PSL(2,11). The highest rank of a geometry in our lists is four. Our work is related to various atlases of coset geometries. 相似文献

We provide lower and upper bounds for γ(n), the number of optimal solutions for the two-center problem: “Given a set S of n points in the real plane, find two closed discs whose union contains all of the points such that the radius of the larger disc is minimized.”The main result of the paper shows the matching upper and lower bounds for the two-center problem and demonstrates that γ(n)=n. 相似文献

For compact Lie groups, the Chern characters K*(G) Q H*
DR(G;Q) have been already constructed. In this paper, we construct and study the corresponding noncommutative Chern characters. They are homomorphisms chC*: K*(C*(G)) from quantum K-groups into entire current periodic cyclic homology groups of group C*-algebras. We also obtain the corresponding algebraic version chalg: K*(C*(G)) HP*(C*(G)), which can be identified with the classical Chern character K* (C(T)) HP* (C(T)), where T is the maximal torus of G. 相似文献

D.c. functions are functions that can be expressed as the sum of a concave function and a convex function (or as the difference of two convex functions). In this paper, we extend the class of univariate functions that can be represented as d.c. functions. This expanded class is very broad including a large number of nonlinear and/or nonsmooth univariate functions. In addition, the procedure specifies explicitly the functional and numerical forms of the concave and convex functions that comprise the d.c. representation of the univariate functions. The procedure is illustrated using two numerical examples. Extensions of the conversion procedure for discontinuous univariate functions is also discussed. 相似文献
