The various competing contributions to the anomalous Hall effect in spin-polarized two-dimensional electron gases in the presence of both intrinsic, extrinsic and external electric-field induced spin-orbit coupling were investigated theoretically. Based on a unified semiclassical theoretical approach, it is shown that the total anomalous Hall conductivity can be expressed as the sum of three distinct contributions in the presence of these competing spin-orbit interactions, namely an intrinsic contribution determined by the Berry curvature in the momentum space, an extrinsic contribution determined by the modified Bloch band group velocity and an extrinsic contribution determined by spin-orbit-dependent impurity scattering. The characteristics of these competing contributions are discussed in detail in the paper.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain considerable spin-orbit (SO) parameters in AlxGa1-xN/GaN quantum wells (QWs) with sheet carrier concentration Ns =120×10 11/cm2. With increasing Al content (x) of the barrier, the SO parameters increase as a whole, and the two major contributions are found to be the decrease of the expansion region of the envelope functions and the increase of the polarized electric field in the well. Compared with the Rashba parameters for the first two subbands, the intersubband SO parameter is a bit smaller and varies more slowly with x. The results indicate the SO parameters, especially the Rashba parameters can be engineered by the Al composition of the barrier, which may be helpful to the spin manipulation of III-nitride low-dimensional heterostructures.  相似文献

We study theoretically the transmission coefficients and the spin-tunneling time in ferromagnetic/semiconductor/ferromagnetic three-terminal heterojunction in the presence of Rashba spin-orbit interaction, in which onedimensional quantum waveguide theory is developed and applied. Based on the group velocity concept and the particle current conservation principle, we calculate the spin-tunneling time as the function of the intensity of Rashba spin-orbit coupling and the length of the semiconductor. We find that as the length of the semiconductor increases, the spintunneling time does not increase linearly but shows behavior of slight oscillation. Furthermore, with the increasing of the spin-orbit coupling, the spin-tunneling time increases.  相似文献

在强关联电子体系中,轨道、自旋和晶格等自由度之间的相互作用一直是研究的热点.这些自由度之间的竞争和共存产生了复杂新奇的物理现象,如超导现象、量子相变、自旋有序、拓扑相变、金属绝缘转变等,这些丰富的物理现象来源于不同的有序态或量子涨落之间的竞争和耦合.自旋轨道耦合作用是指粒子的自旋角动量和轨道角动量之间的相互作用,在4d/5d基化合物中,由于电子的运动速度较快,自旋轨道耦合的效应不可忽视,可能表现出与3d基化合物不同的物性.例如,在含4d/5d过渡族金属元素的超导体中,其电子配对的机制可能不同于常规的s波Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer超导体.本文以几种典型的4d/5d基超导体为例,对其晶体结构和超导物性及其内在联系进行了详细论述,重点探讨了阴离子共价键强弱对晶体结构、相变和超导物性的影响,希望引起相关研究者对该类超导体的重视.  相似文献

本文研究了自旋轨道耦合作用下石墨烯纳米带pn结的电子输运性质. 当粒子的入射能量处于pn结两端势能之间时, 粒子将会以隧穿的形式通过石墨烯pn结, 同时伴随着电子空穴转换. 电导随费米能的变化曲线呈不等高阶梯状, 并在费米能位于pn结两端能量中点时取得最大值. 随着石墨烯pn结长度的增加, 电导以指数形式衰减. 自旋轨道耦合作用导致的能隙会使电导显著减小, 而边缘态的粒子则可以几乎毫无阻碍地通过pn结. 本文用一个简单的子带隧穿模型解释了上述特征. 最后还研究了在pn转换区中掺入替位杂质的情况. 在弱杂质下, 电导随费米能变化的曲线将不再对称; 当杂质较强时, 仅边界态的形成的电导台阶能够保持.  相似文献

Properties of the ground-state solitons, which exist in the spin–orbit coupling(SOC) Bose–Einstein condensates(BEC) in the presence of optical lattices, are presented. Results show that several system parameters, such as SOC strength,lattice depth, and lattice frequency, have important influences on properties of ground state solitons in SOC BEC. By controlling these parameters, structure and spin polarization of the ground-state solitons can be effectively tuned, so manipulation of atoms may be realized.  相似文献

We investigate the polaron and molecular states of a fermionic atom with one-dimensional spin–orbit coupling(SOC)coupled to a three-dimensional spinless Fermi sea. Because of the interplay among the SOC, Raman coupling and spinselected interatomic interactions, the polaron state induced by the spin–orbit coupled impurity exhibits quite unique features. We find that the energy dispersion of the polaron generally has a double-minimum structure, which results in a finite center-of-mass(c.m.) momentum in the ground state, different from the zero-momentum polarons where SOC are introduced into the majority atoms. By further tuning the parameters such as the atomic interaction strength, a discontinuous transition between the polarons with different c.m. momenta may occur, signaled by the singular behavior of the quasiparticle residue and effective mass of the polaron. Meanwhile, the molecular state as well as the polaron-to-molecule transition is also strongly affected by the Raman coupling and the effective Zeeman field, which are introduced by the lasers generating SOC on the impurity atom. We also discuss the effects of a more general spin-dependent interaction and mass ratio. These results would be beneficial for the study of impurity physics brought by SOC.  相似文献

利用变分近似及基于Gross-Pitaevskii方程的直接数值模拟方法,研究了自旋-轨道耦合玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体中线性塞曼劈裂对亮孤子动力学的影响,发现线性塞曼劈裂将导致体系具有两个携带有限动量的静态孤子,以及它们在微扰下存在一个零能的Goldstone激发模和一个频率与线性塞曼劈裂有关的谐振激发模.同时给出了描述孤子运动的质心坐标表达式,发现线性塞曼劈裂明显影响孤子的运动速度和振荡周期.  相似文献

We have investigated the dynamics of bright solitons in a spin–orbit coupled spin-1 Bose–Einstein condensate analytically and numerically. By using the hyperbolic sine function as the trial function to describe a plane wave bright soliton with a single finite momentum, we have derived the motion equations of soliton's spin and center of mass, and obtained its exact analytical solutions. Our results show that the spin–orbit coupling couples the soliton's spin with its center-of-mass motion, the spin oscillations induced by the exchange of atoms between components result in the periodical oscillation of center-of-mass, and the motion of center of mass of soliton can be viewed as a superposition of periodical and linear motions. Our analytical results have also been confirmed by the direct numerical simulations of Gross–Pitaevskii equations.  相似文献

Starting from the Hamiltonian of the second quantization form, the weakly interacting Bose-Einstein condensate with spin-orbit coupling of Weyl type is investigated. It is found that the SU(2) nonsymmetric term, i.e., the spin-dependent interaction, can lift the degeneracy of the ground states with respect to the z component of the total angular momentum Jz, casting the ground condensate state into a configuration of zero Jz. This ground state density profile can also be affirmed by minimizing the full Gross-Pitaevskii energy functional. The spin texture of the zero Jz state indicates that it is a knot structure, whose fundamental group is π3(M)???040305????π3(S2)=Z.  相似文献

We investigate theoretically the spin accumulation in a Rashba spin-orbit coupling (SOC) nanoribbon nonadiabatically connected to a normal conductor. Both the nanoribbon and conductor are described by a hard-wall confining potential. Using the scattering matrix approach within the effective free-electron approximation, we have calculated the out-of-plane spin accumulation in the nanoribbon. It is found that the spin accumulation shifts toward the two edges of nanoribbon with the increasing of propagation modes. Specifically, as the Rashba SOC strength increases the spin accumulation in the nanoribbon will be enhanced and this result may suggest us a simple method to control the spin accumulation of the system by Rashba SOC strength.  相似文献

We have investigated theoretically the field-driven electron transport through a single-quantum-well semiconductor heterostructure with spin-orbit coupling. The splitting of the asymmetric Fano-type resonance peaks due to the Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling is found to be highly sensitive to the direction of the incident electron. The splitting of the Fano-type resonance induces the spin-polarization dependent electron current. The location and the line shape of the Fano-type resonance can be controlled by adjusting the energy and the direction of the incident electron, the oscillation frequency, and the amplitude of the external field. These interesting features may be used to devise tunable spin filters and realize pure spin transmission currents.  相似文献

We theoretically investigate the electron transmission through a seven-layer semiconductor heterostructure with the Dresselhaus spin-orbit coupling under two applied oscillating fields. Numerical results show that both of the spin-dependent symmetric Breit-Wigner and the asymmetric Fano resonances appear and that the properties of these two types of resonance peaks are dependent on the amplitude and the relative phases of the two applied oscillating fields. The modulation of the spin-polarization efficiency of transmitted electrons by the relative phase is also discussed.  相似文献
